The 231 days of mining is positive, i think, as you have a lot of those too short POW phase coins. This will allow everybody that want to mine it, to mine it. A lot of painful ICO were launched lately, and those were only giving profit to the owner of the coin, the exchanges and the miningrigtentals. ICO should become more like IPO on the stock market. Join it at a discount and give investors some returns, not just a few investors but a lot investors. With the escrow rules that i have modified it should protect the investors better, and make it harder for the coin owner to just create a coin ICO it, and run away with ICO money.

I have introduce some more ICO investors protection rules, that is maybe why already a few new coins rejected my purpose of being their escrow as with the new rules it is really pretty hard to scam ICO investors. Miningriggental is added because it is a place where you can rent hashrates. A lot of people don't have hardware at home, and they find it silly to mine a coin with low block rewards because the hardware that they have at home is only a few GH (for example)

It is correct that achieving this target is not a easy target but if someone really want to achieve it then it is certainly possible. Please note that there was only 2.50 BTC in ICO, if the target is too easy to achieve then several people will hit the target and ICO money will be gone.

Personally i know a lot of people that own 60% of a coin via mining, not on the first day of course, as then everybody is jumping on the coin, but in 2 days it will be more quiet and to mine 70% of a coin after a few days launch is certainly possible.

Personally i mine myself and own big amounts of coins just be mining a coin 2 days after launch.

Also spending 10 BTC and getting 1 BTC for free is not bad, don't you think?

In the top wallets on the block explorer the total coin supply seems to be double the 250k of the ICO approximately 477k. I was under the impression the ICO was just 250k as per the OP and that total coin supply by now must be 250k plus the few mined since launch. I went through the thread to determine if there was another allocation for some reason e.g. additional coins for a 2nd phase ICO etc. but I couldnt see any. Who controls the other addresses? Block explorer are having sometimes those issues. When you move coins to another wallet that it still say that the coins are still in the original wallet and the other wallet looks ok, so double the amount. Always run 'Getinfo' in wallet to be 100% sure

Thanks for the reply Placebo. Can the owner of the block explorer please explain the difference between its "version" of the the state of affairs based on the blcok chain and the wallet's "version" of the state of affairs based on the block chain? A block explorer is supposed to be an independent audit tool whereas a wallet is coded by a dev. Lets hope it is is the block explorer that is broken.

I looked at the source and it looks clean:

Buy wall is in place!!! Currently 1 BTC is placed at 2000sats. Why so low? I'm afraid that this was the price that people paid for their coins during ICO. I hope that the ICO people are smart and don't take a easy profit and look at the bigger picture what this coin maybe can become. With a hashrate of more then 200T most of the time, it was one of the most active SHA-256 coins that is being mined at the moment.

Please spread the hash!! A lot of people are mining at Suprnova. No problem, but spreading hashrate is always good to secure network. Result should be the same. If some bigger Hashrate users move to all mining pools then the results will be the same.

Dev, can you just quickly explain a small technicality before proceedings go on. I am sure there is a good reason for it or maybe just a technical error or just me that don't understand the ICO and launch properly. In the top wallets on the block explorer the total coin supply seems to be double the 250k of the ICO approximately 477k. I was under the impression the ICO was just 250k as per the OP and that total coin supply by now must be 250k plus the few mined since launch. I went through the thread to determine if there was another allocation for some reason e.g. additional coins for a 2nd phase ICO etc. but I couldnt see any. Who controls the other addresses? Apologies if it is just me that is misinterpreting this particular block explorer. If it is adequately explained I will delete this post so that it is not fud and unfounded.

if something goes wrong you have to refund anyone who invested in ICO, any single satoshi, even those missing.

It is actually the very first thing a dev should do from the word go for transparency and to get investor confidence. Do this sooner rather than later before things slip away. With crypto you have to do everything in your power to keep miners and the community close to you from the start because once they are gone it is very difficult to get them back.

Yes the explorer is all messed up. From icons at the top that does not correspond to the coins below to coin count differences to wallet sizes everything. I know one can look in the wallet, but if you want people to trust you then you must have an independent source that confirms what you are saying. Compare this to management of a company that says their profit and loss and assets for a financial year was X. The public and investors can either just believe management, or rely on a report from an independent audit firm to audit the financial statements and confirm that what management says is a true reflection. So it is simple really, for the sake of transparency just get a working block explorer that confirms everything and I am sure that it will contribute to a positive future for WOC.

Indeed, as it is needed for Bittrex, coinmarketcap, etc. I believe he was expecting that the current block explorer created by community was working, but it doesn't at the moment. We have been asking the dev for a proper block explorer for some time now but there is only a community one that is broken. Normally a proper block explorer is the first thing to do, before making nice websites etc. I cant think of a reason why the dev would not set up a proper block explorer.

RISK was terrible. A lot of people join the ICO (i know it as i was escrow on it) and then it hit Bittrex and everybody start dumping it.. I don't think you can compare RISK with WOC. Totally different type of coins. RISK was a fast POW type of coin, WOC is pretty long in POS. RISK didn't had a lot planned, i was even in shock why that coin even had this big of ICO money, and i can verify that it were all real users, no newbie accounts etc.

I don't think a rich list is necessary for a coin, is it bad if someone own 60% of all coins? Yes? No? Pump? Dump? Nobody can tell. A lot of coins have problems to move higher. But you also know how much was in this ICO ,and you also know how much coins there will be available, so the question that you have to ask is. Is this coin worth more then $3,000 or $30,000 or $100,000

You're talking about ROS. did you know that ICO price on ROS was 20 sats and it hit 276 sats one day. That coin was worth $50k at one moment and ROS is still alive. One day it will move higher again, believe me.

So what is next here? CRAVE hit Bittrex and had some great volume. WOC had some great volumes on C-CEX and now it is a little quiet, no new buyers, and no sellers.

People can buy a nice amount of coins at some decent prices now. 35% blocks are POS blocks so around 3,150 WOC created every day. Now cost of mining dropped to 0.10 BTC per day. So golden team to mine WOC at the moment. 3150 sats per coin on mining cost.

Our escrow person still owns all the BTCs (you can check the ICO BTC address on the first page), so what more transparent information do you need? Everything is available if you search for it.

So if someone from the community can make a working block explorer then this would be nice. I'm and will continue focus on extending the website, make it more user friend, make sure that it generate enough visitors, increase Alexa ranking and try to get WOC on some exchanges.

This is a long POW coin, i mean, you can mine it for more then 200 days, it is not just a pump & dump coin. Topical pump & dump coins are those no-premine / no-ico type of coins that you can mine for 2 or 3 or 5 days or so. Then dev release the source 5 mins later, when he already have his miner mining the first blocks and taking a nice amount of coins in the beginning and then the pump & dump starts. Not all of them are like that, but when you see that there are too many big buy walls then you know it is a pump group pumping it, and it got nothing to do with the coin itself.

Agree that adding X11 now is not a good idea unless there is a very solid reason behind it that no-one knows about or cannot see without the full context, other than a haphazard afterthought. I posted my comments in the WOC(X11) thread.

Because of several problems with creating a block explorer we have decided to move away from SHA-256 and create WOCX using a alternative algorithm that will allow us to create a proper block explorer and give a better image for investors to invest in WOCX.

What will be done is the following:

After block 45000 mining will stop, then the new coin WOCX will be launched. People have to swap their coins in WOCX coins. The procedure for swapping will be ANN later.

I believe because of not having a good block explorer (or better say, not a block explorer at all) it resulted in a undervalued and a low mining interest. I want to get everything nicely working out when WarNet is being launched.
