I'm watching cgminer on the 51Gh I have pointed at coinlab and there don't appear to be any issues. Maybe they were having some connection problems between a block change?

Something is up as my graphs for BAMT are going up and down like crazy. Normally they are a straight line..not peaks and valleys. It appears to have started in the last few hours.

This. This is what I meant when I earlier mentioned I'd have to go back to BTC Guild. And this is what *seemed* to get fixed a week or so ago. My rigs had been rock steady until a few hours ago. Yoohoo! Coinlab! Your servers are on fire!!

Looking into it. Thanks for letting us know.
EDIT: The CEO was testing some new stuff on our fourth frontend and may have accidentally caused us to drop some of your connections. He says, "Sorry!". Things should calm down in the next 3-5 minutes.

Hmmm. Maybe a test environment would be more suitable for testing...

Is anyone still experiencing problems? Server health should be back to normal now.

Hmmm. Maybe a test environment would be more suitable for testing... Peter says, "But, I wanted to see gigavps' stats on my dashboard!" (Working on some new stat visualization stuff).

We isolated the problem: we misconfigured the load balancer between front-ends, and dumped almost all our traffic on a server that decided to sit in the corner and sulk. Thanks for the head's up, we should be back to normal now.
As a side benefit, our CEO instrumented out latency on getwork requests, and it looks like we could make some major improvements in responsiveness, more on this soon.

Did shares get lost or did this just result in a major inefficiency?

No offense I realize that your busy and all but could you work on the Mining portal a bit more? Seems a "bit" lacking compared to other pools.
Thanks for the feedback. The new worker features will come with some small improvements to the mining portal, but I agree that we have a ways to go. I think our next improvement to the interface will be adding a graph of performance (# of shares earned, by hour) over time. What features would you like to see? I expect features related to payouts (how much you've been paid so far, managing payout address changes, auto-payout settings) to be done by the end of the October. We had it half-written, and are now migrating our code to version 0.7 of bitcoind, which broke some of the old code, and has pushed back our timeline a bit. Please dont forget the json interface for multiple workers, some of use the json instead of a website. also as a side note, would be helpful to know when a worker finds a block. I keep track of block finds for all my workers.

Is there anyway to get multiple workers enabled soon?
I have been able to work around this shortcoming thus far by using GPUmax to point my individual workers to Coinlab. Now that GPUmax is going down in 4 days, it will be impossible for me to monitor the individual workers.

Use cgminer. Use one of the many tools that access the api to give you stats. Use BAMT. You have lots of choices.

I agree with yochdog, multiple workers is key for me. I have very limited networking knowledge and honestly it frustrates me to get into assigning network IP's etc.
All of my machines are windows and the cgminer front ends just look too complicated.
Multiple workers plus logmein works perfectly without hassle.
Check pool, see which worker is sick, logmein and BAM all set. I can manage my miners from anywhere.

Its quite literally 3 config lines in cgminer and the frontend scripts are available for free. It isn't hard unless its hard much like driving to a new city is hard.

Can you tell us how the rest of the platform is coming along? (custom mining client, and redeeming mined shares), because ASICs are almost here and btc might hit the 2.50$ / 1gh .. soon...
We're planning for the first version of our custom client to be ready by 11/1. If the price drops below $2.5 / GH/s per day before our custom client is released, we'll allow miners to redeem Loyalty Points with the mining software of their choice.

Did shares get lost or did this just result in a major inefficiency?
We didn't lose any shares, response latency just got too high, so for a period people were asking for work faster than we could send it out. All the shares miners submitted were credited properly, but your miner may have failed over to another pool or not had enough work to be running at 100%. Again, we're very sorry. We figured out why it happened, and won't make the same mistake again.
