What are the best countries in the world to start and run bitcoin businesses?  For example, crypto-equity exchanges, bitcoin gambling, sites like purse.io, etc.  Are there any like this that welcome these sort of businesses and can these businesses avoid scrutiny from foreign regulators or do they still have to comply with the regulations affecting their customers?  Thanks!

Unless you're all BTC you need a bank account. Although they're semi autonomous their banking is linked to the UK and no bank there yet wants to play. You can have the friendliest environment ever but without banking it's pretty pointless.

I think that Switzerland would be a good place to open a bitcoin business in. They have strong privacy laws which would protect your users, and Switzerland is also a Financial hotspot in europe.

I've heard of this, but does anyone on here know the living costs of living there? I'm currently on a hunt to find a new refuge to move too... Yeah that is true. Switzerland is the fianasol hospot in europe but did their banks accept bitcoin? I didn't read any news about that before.

I would also add Netherlands to the above mentioned Switzerland and Isle of Man. Netherlands is by far the most open minded country and the country where Bitcoin adoption has advanced the most in comparison with the number of its citizens.

Our authorities decided not to regulate it at the moment. But our banks doesn't accept bitcoin directly. We have exchange plateform, like everywhere else and you are free to use bitcoin. But bitcoins earning are subject to federal taxation (like every fiat earning..).

2 things I consider the most important is the VAT situation and being able to open a bank account.

All offshores in general will be great to deal with bitcoin. The Isle of Man has been a safe haven for bitcoin for some time now. However, they are now trying to regulate digital currencies but these regulations will be slight and won't have much affect on the way you can do business with bitcoin in thhe Isle.

Therefore i would prefer a Coutnry which accepts the Bitcoin but also have an good Infrastrukture.
Switzerland has all this but only one fact is anoyying myself. Everything is very very expensive in switzerland.

So for me it would be nice to do an Buissness where you can get easy food for low prices, like in Poland.

Personally, I would love to start learning more about the Isle of Man from a personal stand point and not just from google searches. Are there anyone who actually lives there right now who want to shed some light about daily life there and why they are there, whether it be for cryptos or other reasons? Then Philippines for the many good reviews about bitcoin situation not legalized but too much freedom and very open for bitcoin transactions and cryptocurrency trades.. Last maybe I would give that spot to USA,, not my favorite country anyway but strict regulation is sometimes a must and I think the Americans are easy to be as an investors than any nationality.. Bitcoin is used on the Internet so it seems to me that there is no difference in what state is your business. I do not believe that it is now possible to find many willing to do business with bitcoins. It does not depend on the country in which you want to start such a business. Bitcoin is now a full-fledged currency. Users turned it into an investment and don't want to part with their bitcoins. Your business will suffer from a lack of buyers in any country.

I think they are cutting taxes on Bitcoin buying and selling may be. Yes, if they do that then it is going to be very good because people can happily transfer Bitcoin without any problem. Now people afraid only because of government whether they will keep them in jail for doing business with Bitcoin.

This is the only 2 countries that have so far legalized bitcoin so it makes sense to put up your business in those. A legal BTC-friendly environment is one little part of the problem. I see many people have replied Japan. I say maybe, but if you aren't Japanese and if you don't speak Japanese, you'll find Japan a pretty difficult place to start a business.

You should also ask:
What country makes it easy for a foreign investor to start a business?
Does the country follow standard accounting?
How much reporting is legally required?
Can it be in English? Can it be done online?

We were trading on LocalBitcoin for 2 months and now don't have a business account,  Was using Tide Bank which is a Digital Bank but they are supported by Barclays and got shut down as saying it's too risky of a business.

I am unsure if Asian countries are interested in BTC Trading as maybe the margins are good there but if no Bank wants to provide a Bank account hard to trade BTC for Fiat.

While the UK Government and Bank Of England have had a consultation about Crypto Currencies but the banks don't want to do anything about it which is normal for them I guess!

Nevertheless, choosing only countries that already accepted Bitcoin is a clear limitation of your growth as an entrepreneur and will consequently affect the competitiveness of your business. I support the idea that the government controlled only Fiat. They ditched the Fiat and now I want to do the same with bitcoins.

I think you are wrong because there are some countries where government's are not showing interest towards the Bitcoin usage and asking their people don't buy Bitcoin. We have to for official announcement from the countries because soon or later government will realize Bitcoin as legal currency.

I think India is one of the best option. It is the second most populated country of the world. And the awareness about bitcoin is growing too fast in India. As i know in Germany it´s 100% legal to use Bitcoin, a lot of btc nodes are in Germany, even the German tax authority has an website about how to tax your bitcoin (25% on profits, but taxfree after 1 year holding etc)...

I agree with you. Although bitcoin is considered legal but we need to remember that in a country there are government regulations, if the government only legalize bitcoin it does not apply to the freedom of using bitcoin.

In the Philippines, there isn't much regulation for crytocurrencies yet. Here, bitcoin is mostly associated with scam and pyramiding. I believe, bitcoins would be fit to countries who have established regulations pertaining to cryptocurrency.

Amen. You can accept btc all you want here in the States, but dont think about doing it as a money service. Essentially, banks want us to be subject to the same regulation they are , because it is a cost of business, and unfair if only a part of the industry are subject to it. with that being said, banks have had a hell of a head start. but, without a bank you a pretty much relegated to using a payment portal as a merchant, which will most likely convert you btc into fiat which goes into your biz bank account. not exactly accepting btc in my book, more like using the sale of a product to facilitate the conversion of btc into fiat.

Seems to me that the perfect country would be a combination of the following:

• Low or friendly corp/crypto tax policy
• Business friendly corp regulations
• Easy Corp Setup process by foreigners
• 1st world economy
• Low rate of governmental and corporate corruption
• Low to no political strife that could cast uncertainty on your business with banks or other corps in other countries

My completely unresearched choices would be (not including Asian countries because I don't know enough about them, but, Japan would definitely not be on my list because opening a corp in Japan as a foreigner is very difficult)

• Germany - Pros: Very friendly crypto tax policy with a stable 1st world economy and politics, Cons: Social system, somewhat high corp tax, not sure their policy on foreign owned corps
• Switzerland - Pros: Friendly crypto policies with a stable 1st world economy and politics, friendly to foreign owned corps, Cons: not sure, maybe the same as Germany
• Ireland - Pros: Economy not doing great but is propped up by EU and proactively marketing to foreign owned corps, friendly corp tax rate, Cons: In the news for shady corp deals (i.e. Apple, Google)

Hearing so much suggestions on doing Bitcoin business in Switzerland.. I am not quite sure but the last time I checked, I know it has already scrapped the practice of helping the accused people by covering up on their Swiss bank accounts. Not really impossible to get a Business Bank Account for Crypto Currencies the bank's will run a mile been there, done it and seen it.  If you get caught dealing in BTC or Crypto Bank's will shut you down.

I live in Belarus and I want to say that our new Cryptocurrency Decree is the most loyal in the world.
Starting from March 2018, belarusian citizens will not pay taxes for mining, exchanging, buying crypto.

But the most interesting part is cryptobusiness. Becoming a part of HighTechPark, cryptocompany WILL NOT pay income tax, VAT and many other taxes. It's the best place for ICOs, exchanges etc. Of course, you should become a part of HighTechPark - you need to have strong business plan, administration will look at it in a month and you will get the answer (yes or no). If you are working business or you have great technologies, you have great chances!

Also I want to say, that opening company and living here is very cheap. Average salary in IT is around 1700$. So, even if for example Japan will have the same loyal laws, Belarus will be still at the top.

I think 50% of Countries will have liberal approach about bitcoin Businesses very soon.As of today the cool situation is in Arizona state,In USA.They are trying to create Legislative initiative to pay taxes in bitcoin,Wich is a very progressive move and I hope majority of countries will share this initiative.Also Republic of Georgia,There are special economical free zones for Bitcoin businesses and Investors have very cheap electricity.So the doors are open for foreigner investors in this Country.

In my own opinion, the best country to do bitcoin business is the JAPAN. There all the bitcoin transaction and investment is great even buy and sell bitcoin because bitcoin was already accepted there.

I think the best countries for bitcoin are in CHINA,RUSSIA,JAPAN this 3 are my favorite country to put up a start up business especially if bitcoin is involve in topic where i know cryptocurrency is the major topic.

With China's regulation about cryptocurrencies it will not be a good idea anymore if someone wants to pursue his business on the said country. On Japan, it's a good place to produce more crypto related businesses but establishing a crypto gambling site there, base on their culture that will not be a good choice.

Well, the main point here is that those countries adopt bitcoin can help there people which can benefit for their financial aspects. Here in the Philippines, we also one Crypto exchange this year that launced, it is not yet widely known but time will come due to a lot of people here in our country doing bitcoin so time will come that it will also become popular around the world.

Well I would choose Singapore too if it did not require to throw away $12k to open a company there ($2k company registration + $10k freezed for bank accont registration).
I won't choose Japan as does not use English as official language, and I would never do any business with US.
So I hope Malta would appear as a legal state for cryptocurrencies-based business, as it is somewhat cheap and easy to open a company and bank account there.
