I don't think that it will go so low not matter what, it may be just a panic creating for them to sell for small price,i mean poeple won't let bitcoin go so low or they will sell them all and bitcoin will die

Quit spreading FUD. You may want to start the spook chain and try to drive the price down lower, but there is no way that the price will drop down to $250 levels without the help of massive whales. I'm sure that they're not stupid enough to dump hugely right now. At least not the majority of them, that is. Some might be switching to Ethereum but who cares?

 
ETH will keep rising up until BTC holders will move their coins there.
It seem like they knew this game very well to make BTC's price depreciate. But then $250 is good so those who hyped ETH could buy more bitcoin after emptying their ETH wallets.

That's not true, to the low we may hit $375 which was the price before a week. So once it stands at the price for few days it will start increasing again.

Ethereum is just a fake boom, though. The bubble will pop as soon as the whales decide to dump their pump, and people will start crawling back to bitcoin's rocket. The price will continue to rise. Don't be an idiot.

I don't think current downtrend is due to this news or current debate on blocksize. Eth is getting some pump and people like to get a ride on that wave, but as we all know what go up always come to ground. After that happen to eth bitcoin will again gain momentum to 500 easily making bitcoin cryptoking again.

I don't know what makes you think we will see sub $300 prices but we won't come anywhere near that price. The lowest I think the price will go is somewhere around $360-$370.

That could be true future direction is important. didn't bitcoin achieved that already?  in fact most merchants are using it. If ETH gets to be on top, this forum wouldn't exist anymore. would you like that?

i think it will not happen but we will see if the price will gradually decreasing until reach again 350 or below.. if that's happen i will convert into ethereum so that i can make more profit right because of the price of ethereum i think ethereum will be the next.. but i hope it will not happen..

$415 support didn't stand the second test and we went down. I expect we start slowing down in the $380s. $350 is a valid and proven support that should work once again.

I always put my brain to work when it's about money. I have bought 1 Bitcoin at $385 and might buy more if the price goes down below $380 today or maybe tomorrow. These are the best times to buy. Those who are still doubting will miss another opportunity to buy at these prices.

yep, $380 and below should be very good entry points. As I already wrote, I don't expect the price to break $350 at no news (or at as little news as we had recently) and therefore buying all dips should be profitable now.

Not sure where you got that $250 thing since the whole point of the link you posted was something else and not it's value. I sort of agree with some of what was published on the website. Unfortunately it's never going to be easy for different kinds of developers to work together and as result, these difference rise and base on the link, it seems that there's somehow an agreement on the upgrade to 2MB but no time yet (so it's just matter of when). I believe that there will be some consequences after the halving, same time as it will most likely increase BTCitcoin value too so there will surely be some rough road that needs assessment (not by developers but by users as well). There's might be a chance that for 1 month after the halving that transactions get confirmed in a manner we witnessed recently due to the spam attack and as result more confirmations might get stuck again (even with normal fees) and that might result in some panicking in regards to the situation and think BTCitcoin would be gone forever but in reality that would be just the phase in which BTCitcoin enters a dark matter and sure enough in the end, developers would be forced into working together so they could fix the whole situation.

if it really did, it would destroy the demand altcoins, most of the value of altcoins are based on the bitcoin price. even though if you earned the bitcoin with them, you would still lose in bitcoin price.

I loved to see the price to 250 again, so i could massively buy more bitcoins. However. It seems clear to me we've established a new low
around the 300 USD mark. So no way we can get to 250 USD.

I think many people distructing bitcoin that the price will be down but i will still believe in bitcoin that the price will rise again.
They are just distructing bitcoin holders to sell their bitcoin and convert into ETH..
If the price of bitcoin will decrease more sooner it will increase again because they want to buy it for the cheap price for most people and traders..
So that the price will increase again..

well, smart traders don't have regrets about not buying at prices when it was quite low. they use that situation in their advantage to scoop up as many coins as possible. it's funny to see that quite a few people were seriously doubting whether to buy or not when the price was stuck around the $250 price level in 2015. they kept saying 'what if the price goes down more???' lol.... seriously? these are the people that are currently blaming themself heavily for not buying back then.

Exactly. There was the time for buying, there will be the time for selling. Smart traders know when the opportunity is coming into their hands, and don't need to chase the price. If you are chasing the price, either up or down, that is not a good sign.

i think only chinese can control bitcoin value and $250 is impossible to reach right now.. year by year the price is increase so that its impossible that the price will reach $250..

yeah, chines had invested a lot of their money in bitcoin and bitcoin mining they are not just going to sit ideally by and watch the price of bitcoin go down. besides this down is just temporary and going to stop after the ETH pump ends

If the price fell from $400 a $250 It would not be good time to buy, Because such a fall would not be good sign but hardly a price below of $400 could be. :)

Bitcoin is not like shit or alt coin now, massive pump and dump is happening right now in altcoin market with etherum recently. Its always better to just keep on holding bitcoin.

There are two coins that I know that are not scam coins and those are bitcoin and litecoin.
Those two seem to be the most used and trusted ones, so I don't know why I should invest in ethereum since almost all altcoins are worthless, and just stupid clones of other clones.

Right now it's not likely the price will come anywhere near 250 dollars.  There is way too much buy orders now.
We have to accept the new low is near 320 - 350 dollars. Lower then that it won't go.

Yes 250 may occur only with dreams. I strongly believe there is no chances for bitcoin prices to reach $250 levels in any future. It's gone for ever. We are heading towards $1000 around halving.

I think it is a reasonable bet. With all recent (6 months) price action we have established $350 as a new bottom. It would take a chain of really bad events to challenge and break that support.
Of course, the situation may change after halving, if there is lot of disappointment with the price not reaching $1k and beyond (or similar wishful thinking that we have plenty in here).

That would be awesome if we could reach 1000$ by then. Howecwr I think that a 700-800 range certainly would be possible, but only if there are no problems which will cause to dumping the coin, which I hope will not happen.

Reaching 250 would mean something is going wrong. We just went under 400 dollar and bam everybody started buying.

There are problems with the community and the "core devs" but honestly this feels a lot more like a bunch of whales manipulated the markets.

Looks pretty stable if you ask me.
The attempt to dump the market haven't played out that well.
We rebounced pretty quick around 390 and are already back to 408-410.
Furthermore I'm sure the profiteurs from the actual altcoin pumps will shift over to Bitcoin soon.

It will not be that low. That will be not good. You can see now that the price is a bit stable and that is good.

I do not think that the bitcoin price will not drop to $250 because of just a CEO wrote something negative about it. last month when that developer said that bitcoin is dead in his propaganda article, the price dropped to $360 only and I believe that the affect of this article by coinbase CEO will not be stronger that that one

I smell that same classic controversy here.
As long as the network is not jammed transaction like the one happened few days ago, there should be no problem with 1MB blocks.
Because if you notice the number of unconfirmed transactions per 10 minutes, it is still significantly small in a normal day. So nothing to panic here.

250 today is very low I don't see it happen. Just look what happened when we were under 400 dollar

even when Mike Heran created huge panic when he talked dumb things, price fel by 80$only how i remember, then was stable for while and started to grow again, so even if price will fall to 20$, it will grow again

Anything can happen but even so the  top holders would not be accumulating as now. So  instead of lowering the price it could  remain stable or rising gradually.

Really doubt it will drop that low.  As others pointed out above, bitcoin recovered nicely after the Hearn situation.  The roundtable does not own bitcoin, it will eventually work itself out as it was designed that way.  If it did hit 250 it would certainly be a good buy!

Its impossible right now if you see the price these days the price is playing around 410 to 425.. and i think it will increase more but didn't when.
If the price will decrease i think thea maximum price it can reach is 360-370..

Not really, considering how little stability there is for the value of crypto it could happen at any time.  After we broke $1,000 nobody thought we'd ever see anything close to 500 again, yet here we are now completely content with it.  It may take a while to get there (or never happen), but it's not out of the picture by any means.

By the coming years there is no need to expect such a fall in price. Now itself with the increasing price is fixed to be a standard value starting from $350.

when we broke $1000 it was obvious that price is going to fall. everybody knew that it is a bubble which means it was going to burst. maybe nobody expected $200.
that's the way market works. just look at any market. the closest example is the altcoin market which is full of the same thing. whenever there is a pump (bubble) there is a burst after that but the overall growth is still there. from 0 to $1 to ... to $200 and now 400 and rising.

Definitely not everybody was aware of the fact that the +$1000 price was nothing more than a very short term peak. If you look at how many people still bought above $1000 you'll be quite shocked. These people didn't have any control over themselfs. Greed took over.

I guess the standard price of bitcoin already has shifted to $400 levels. I do not think price will stay below $400 price levels (may be testing some times). Actually we are heading towards $500 price levels as standard base price for bitcoin.

Exactly, when you're at the peak of the bubble many people think you're still in the middle of it.  If you go back and look at the posts from then you'd probably see people talking about the next stop being $1,500 and higher.

No price is too low, no price is too high in the world of crypto.  It's all based on speculation and perception at the end of the day.

Such a downfall will not take place by the coming years. Now bitcoin has got a good price compared to the local currency we use. So fall in price takes place when the technology collapses due to power generation issues.

I think miners will likely force it up to $750, they'll still need to make money, pay their bills, and do other things as well.

If the price is $250 for Bitcoin this is the time to buy, because the chance is slim that it will drop any lower.
You should buy as many as you can. The price will go up in no time. Buy as many and be sure to save some.

$250 is too low and probably a very good advantage to buy and hoard and We might really reach that point but might not be very fast.. or if it happens drastically , then there's something wrong in the bitcoin world and I think no one will buy if it reaches that low..

When a thought is spread among the people that the price will be increased then they will not sell their bitcoin on less price and in this way bitcoin will not lose its value, so in return the price if do not increase it will at least do not decrease also.

price going down needs a reason, it will not happen out of the blue without any reason.
and for a ~$200 reduction the reason should be massive that causes such a dump to get there.
that is why i always say that the lower $300 phase is long gone and if you had jumped on the train and bought you are a winner.

$250 is impossible for the long term. The price will rise above $400 in the next two to three months and we will never see $3xx again.

At the moment or later $250 is really impossible. Already bitcoin has got a standard value which looks to be above $350. Anything might happen with the technology but upon various prediction never to touch $250.

Even the $400 level is a good place for the whales to accumulate. It has been tested several times, and the price is above that level.

People have had plenty enough time to buy at sub $300 prices back in 2015. I can happily say that I have been buying plenty of coins far below $300 back then. Right now I can just watch the price going up nicely.

We are not going to that low, as you can see now you see that the value keeps stable and that is not that bad but many people wants that the price is going to rise so they can sell it.
The only thing is that we never know when it will start and stop rising so we have to take some risks sometimes.

If the halving is coming in to place the price can drop to $250, this is going to give people who do not have much money to spend the opportunity to buy coins.

We have passed the $250 a long time ago and I am sure that we are not going to see it back any time soon. The price is still moving up and we are almost at $500 double of $250.
For the price to be $250 again is pretty unlikely.

When I saw the title i knew it was some troll. And yes it was. The price won't just go down because of 1 man thinking whatever he thinks. There is a lot of money in bitcoin so not 1 party can do so much damage.

The price will not go down to $250 or even $400, but it will not go to $500 either. We all need to support the bitcoin.

So it seems, There is no reason to believe that this could possibly happen again.

At 450 bitcoin mining is still very profitable so yes there is still a possibly that the price will fall. Although i don't expect that to happen on the short term.
There is just a lot of anticipation of the halving and i think we are still getting some bonus.

I expect a significant dump to happen perhaps a day or two before the block halving, or for sure after the block halving. Once the block halving has taken place there is nothing more that people can grab to hold on to. Right now it's all block halving what we see and hear. Within 2 months it's over.

actually i don't think that price will drop because of that, and even if it will drop, it won't drop by 350$ to 250$ only, it will drop to 500$ or maybe a little bit lower than that

BTC is limited supply. Chinese Bitcoin Cowboys already holding a serious amount of those. Nobody knows for sure how much, but enough to control market at this current point in time.

My heart-felt apologies to those of you who believed we would see 250 again. I was wrong. Dead wrong. I fear we will never see 250 again. Not even a flash crash will drop the price to such low.

OTOH, I still believe we will see 300-399 in near future. Probably after the July halving and before November. I think 700-799 will be the top for this bubble cycle. The bitcoiners in China have almost tabbed out, I don't think any more new Chinese money will be pouring in, you can say the Chinese have priced in the halving.

After the crash from +$1200 to below $200 I never say never when it comes to Bitcoin. No matter how unlikely things may look, Bitcoin always finds a way to surprise us by reaching that price level where a lot people were thinking from it was not possible anymore.

The price is 745 now, that's a drop from 791 a few days ago. As I stated I believe the top was 791 and now we may be entering a slow deflationary phase where bitcoin drop slowly like it did in 2014-2015 for almost 2 years.
