Consider this  have you notice Bitcoin price up then DDos attack all around, Fud news everywhere, Why because they want to buy Cheap bitcoin.  Then positive news again as it reached all time high. Then back again to Ddos mode and Fud news again and again. So i say buy the dips and Hodl. Not worry at all whales just taking profit.

Well from past couple of weeks we have seen btc being very risky in terms of volatility . Its being ranging form 2300 - 3000. Its being a roller coaster ride for everyone as after reaching 3k it started to dip and now its reached 2400 levers. But given the time it should bounce back above 2600 in couple of days .

Bitcoin has a history of periods with up and downs. I think that's fueled by the speculators too, since that's the best way for them to earn money.
And yes, i also think that Bitcoin will be soon back up. I think that Bitcoin feels good around 2500 EUR and may fluctuate around it this summer.

It's bound to happen. And i'm not going to worry even if bitcoin drops to below 2k. I'm looking at a long term movement here and i think it won't be long before btc recovers and shoots up again. Chill guys.

Best time to sell is when everyone else is panic selling. It will recover, just needed this since the jump over the past 2 weeks was overly huge.

Bitcoin is history is such a good thing for us users to trust the movement of the price of bitcoin. If we will analyze the development of price compare to the current price it is a big increased in regards to the sell price of bitcoin. So if there is downs or the decreasing of price to bitcoin we should always keep our patience and trust to bitcoin because as long as we continue our support to bitcoin it is a sure thing that i will developed enough for its price to increased. Yeah there is no need to worry. We all know that the fluctuation of bitcoin’s price is normal. There is no need to panic about bitcoin’s price going down from over 130K to 115K (Philippine Peso). As soon as investors buy bitcoin again or new investors buying bitcoin, its price will go up again. So do not lose your spirit in bitcoin.

Price is at 2202.08$, I`m not worrying, and as i see in comments other members here are also very calm, this is something normal for bitcoin to make some peak and come back down and settle on some lower price.
We will come back on 3k and more but I don`t think that can happen before winter, excitement passed and now we will have quiet summer and price can drop even lower in my opinion, lets wait and see.

You can never be sure about it will rise back. It lost about value which is equal to $800 but still more way in down pathway.

The price has slowly and steadily risen over time.  If you relax and ignore the short periods, then you are going to be fine.  It was $250, then $600, $1000 and now here, it has done more to make money for people than most other investments and it will continue.  The big picture is the one to view and that is going perfectly and will continue.  Relax, don't panic and let the others freak out and sell.

Indeed, bitcoin will always rise after decline. People should look at the big picture of bitcoin charts every year and you can see how its fluctuate but always ended with higher price. Some corrections are inevitable due to daily traders and investors want to extract money from their wallet. It is a good chance to buy back at cheaper price and give some opportunities to the others so that they could purchase more bitcoin.

An eight year old commodity shows consistency of being around and a little over $2000 for weeks and people are panicking? The flow of capital into and out of btc right now screams market maker distribution, selling so much so fast that they can buy back in at a lower price at a later date.

One mistake we always do as young investors is that we are scared when the price if btc keeps decreasing-we quickly sell to reduce further loss, but I assure you all that btc will rise again so let's hold our btcs and wait for that period.

I'm not worried, this is regular and common phase in bitcoin price cycle. The price will recover and go up again, that is for sure. Now it's the opportunity to buy some bitcoins if you have funds on disposal and also great opportunity for traders to make.the profit. So, smart users they don't panic but make money.  :D

I was going to sell at the ATH, said I'd do it the next day and we dropped $400, now another $400 .. Shit. Oh well, guess I'll just buy some rather than sell. It'll work out better for me in the end anyway.

An $400 drop is simply a very big value drop, though the price was moving forward in the same effect. As the above mate mentioned it's good to consider it an way better to earn rather than spending. Bitcoin value decrease and increase is common.

I find it humorous that now people are talking about $1800 btc being cheap. Oh how the times have changed... Drastically.

I am glade that I am aware of the potential of the BTC and also about it's scope so, there is nothing much to be worried about...
If we look at the history of the BTC we will come to know that the current price dip is something usual for it...
Most importantly when countries are thinking to allow and legalize it then there is no need to worry... The BTC will comeback with hopefully striking $3000 price this time...

I am equally optimistic that the price will be up again. Its only newbies that will rush and sell believing the price is going down or that its better they count their loss now that its still within range but any here long enough will understand that in bitcoin nothing lasts forever whethee increase or decrease and in most cases there is no defining explanation as to why that even  happens in this crypto world that we have found our ways into.

I bought at $2,400 happy and will be patient to reach $2800 for my profit to gain, and will buy more the dip. I dont mind the bloodbath of all the cryptocurrencies, as we'll recover that in days.

I can see that the price of bitcoin is now at $2,382 but I'm still fine with it and good thing that it recovered now(hopefully). And after a crash there will be a good return for the price of bitcoin, whales will buy more as they took profit already so there's a clean income from selling at higher price and buying at lowest.

Obviously all of us know the price will have to increase no matter as long as the circulating supply doesn't reach around 20 million plus we don't have to worry about major price drop. And also sadly this happened b3cause of coinbase , bifinex , btc-e who just wanted to attract investors to some new coin so they closed theit site for maintenance no issues just remember for every drop you shouldn't see it like a loss see like another buying opportunity and remember this applies for bitcoins only.

I already bought bitcoin at the cheap price. i already expected if the dump was happening. Someone in altcoin section already made a good speculation with high accuracy about this. Already took many profits for me. We already recovered just take short time to bitcoin.

It's true, I just hear empty speculation from these persons saying bitcoin is going to die, many persons can't imagine their lifes without bitcoin at this point we reached and they won't forget bitcoin so easily.
They will continue supporting it as long they can. Many businesses depend bitcoin to have success, like the big mining operations and the casinos.

Some has made empty speculations as stated, but in my view bitcoin is a speculative currency so these too will make a small impact on the price moves. Importantly now not only bitcoin, most of the altcoins were in the fall in market value compared to the starting of the week. This might be a corrective factor for the entire digital currency network not only bitcoin or altcoins.

The price change up and down in a cryptocurrency is reasonable and we don't have to worry about this change when we know every day price changes occur, we just need to adjust to current prices and try to take advantage of price declines like buying because of the possibility of price increases.

Who says anything about being worried? everything is just fine, it's not like price dropped $700 dollars and now has increased $300 back up, it's not like there are no millions of dollars coming in and dozens of them going out, I just don't know how much more do they want? same people manipulating the market in their own favor and causing panic sales. every time they cause a dump and the community starts to back it up just to panic again later and dump what they have bought.
When you buy Bitcoin you should keep it instead of being a smart ass and think that trading will give you profit, waiting(holding) will make you more money than you could ever earn with trading.

It will rise again and I don't have choice but to believe that it will be. And I don't want to join those panic sellers as we saw the price once reached $2,800 and it did went back to $2,900. Before it heads at $3,000 the price went down and fall for this week but it is now starting to recover so it will be up again.

Though after this $2,400 it fell back ward to $2,323 I have a big hope that price is going to pump back to $3,000. If you have be followed price action in bitcoin pricing you will understand that this pattern has be repeating itself and that is the beauty of coins market.

I dont think anyone from here or those who have even some knowledge about BTC will be doing panic sell. Panic selling is a concept for those who have invested to double their money and dont know the basics. We know that the price will rise again and never worry about the rate.

Pretty simple statistics if you really read those past happenings on bitcoins and this thing normally happens on bitcoins,But we can force anyone to hold since some of those people do it are afraid to lose more money from their wallets but surely they will regret as soon as BTC price will hit up again and Im so sure that BTC whales will do some extraordinary magic to lift this up.

Not just a Bitcoin thing, but every financial asset takes after that fashion of wave-like movement. Price never continues indefinitely in any one direction, but responds to pressures of buyers or sellers, whichever is dominant. That way, if much more people start to sell their Bitcoin, then we can expect a drop in price and at some support level, buyers will start mopping up the excess and price soon pick up again.

We can be sure that when price reverses again, $3000 will be tested this time around, so it is in effect an opportunity to buy again at a cheaper rate.

Yes, it will definitely increase again, the problem is just time. I think this is the trap of investors and traders, they make the price of bitcoin drops sharply then buy bitcoin at cheap price and they continue to pump strong bitcoin again to make money. It's how whales make all their money. They sell massive amounts at high price, then everyone else panic sells. Finally they reinvest when price drops a certain amount.

Best way to make money is when you can play the market like a puppet.

If you see dips then buy those dips because there is nothing wrong in bitcoin price because they are all depending in the demand on the market and if you are not aware of dips and if you didn't buy on dips then you have a higher chance of buying in the wrong price and maybe you will experience losses while if you buy at dips and sell it when the price pumps then you will really make money. The price now is recovering from its huge dip from $3,000 down to more than $2,000 price but like what you said and believed it will pump again, just be patient.

$2,453.327 curent AVG price at Kraken at the moment. Its just a matter of time for some exchange to scream HACKED and the price will drop to 1000-1500$ in several hours.... Remember my words. This is normal and i really belive that Bitcoin can and will hit 5k-10k$ by the end of 2018, but all these exchange will make the price bounce from 1000$ to 5000$ in the meantime.

I don't think we are likely to see such big volatility like in the past and the trade is not concentrated on just one exchange anymore, for alts its a bit different though. I think $2k or just under is the lowest we are likely to ever see again.

Yes we dont worry too much in bitcoin, its been years since it introduce to the market and been years fighting the economically changes. It is strong been fighting all those problems and still it may be fluctuates by it will never be lose.

I think there are many holders hold their bitcoin for the price $3000   for this when the price touch or cross $2900 they start sell their bitcoin. i think for this bitcoin drop again and again from crossing $2900.but it will be  normal soon.

I don't have problem with bitcoins price increased, that is good for trading altcoins, we can makes good profit due to fluctuating of price, even bitcoins never back again, still there are other altcoins that can be changed to fiat money like ethereum and litecoin, fluctuation of bitcoins is not something scary but it is chance to getting money.

Yap and every move from btc is just another oppurtunity for people. If it goes down, many will buy. And if goes up, many sell. Thats just how the way it works. It is not always that we see it increasing or even decreasing. So a member we should just observe and be keen on the aspects of the prices of btc. Because sooner or later we can profit as long as we dont do reckless decisions and hope that there is always a profit even if there is just a little thing we do. A lot of altcoins are in the market so if you dont want btc, then you can always trade in these alt coins.

The recent price drop, for mer is like shaking off the weakest grip in this crypto market and taking those coins away from them for leverage. It usually happend in a bullish trend because most traders are booking for profit and looking to profit more by shaking off these people who are too scared that it might flop faster. It's normal, considering that btc alone is a volatile asset per se.

You are right and we should really be thankful on these movements because we can able to make money and at the same time we do lose when we are careless on when we do buy our bitcoins. Doing trading on short terms would really make some money if you do really know the movement of bitcoin if you can decide well then it will give you decent amounts. Maybe. But I would really rater bitcoin just stayed at $2500 and stabilized because the price swings are really driving me crazy. And also if bitcoin keeps on rising people will call it a bubble(as expected). Going by the pin bar formed on Wednesday it is very obvious that the price of bitcoin will rise. although there are a lot panic selling few days ago people are scared that the price may go down to $1000. But price had started moving northward and according to some technical analysis it is projected to reach $4000.

You mean you trade paper wallets off chain? How would you ever trust anyone? The private key would/could be known by both of you. I could go over to someone's place, buy their flat screen TV for 0.2BTC, go home, wipe the private key and now I have a free TV. If he believed the same thing and was trying to save a few bucks on the tx fee then he wouldn't have swept the wallet.

There's no way bitcoin is going back to $1K,the market has grown too big for that to happen at this point. And even if bitcoin dropped to 1K why panic? It would be an excellent buying opportunity. But I don't think we'll ever see bitcoin @1K again.

just avoid small transactions for now. maximize your transaction fees by doing large transactions only. you can also transact only when the network is not congested so you can send with lower tx fees. it is still better if the price keeps moving up than stagnating.

Sure, the target Bitcoin in 2017 is ~5000$ if Segwit successfully, but sometime in the way to the moon, the price need adjustment and rested, after "full power", Bitcoin will comeback and create new highest price!

Right now the price is moving good and its about $2600-$2700 and the price crashing is short lived as expected. Investors have sold their bitcoin out of fear last couple of days but it looks like it has died down so now we are seeing the reverse, they are now panic buying. So no worries for all of us. We may have a bullish run again and the price can peak at $3000 which we are all been waiting for. Then probably another dip before again price surge before the end of the month. So we must all hold on our bitcoin and not be carried away by the FUD spreading around and not panic sell because you might regret your decision later specially in the price goes to $5000 at the end of the year.

Obviously it will up and if everything goes like this, we don't have to even wait for many days to reach $5K valuation. It can possibly happen in Q3-Q4 of next year. So investment in BTC shall be a consideration if one is thinking about investing.

I truly believe the same and that is the reason I am buying more and more bitcoins for future investment. The current price slide is just the nature of the market. A lot of investors and traders have booked their profits by selling off their holdings and hence the price was down initially but now showing the signs of recovering again.

Much worst if the bitcoin price is not going up but the transaction fees is still high, then it's no making sense.

If the transaction fees is high then we can really feel the value of it once bitcoin price increase. Look if ever the fees are playing around today @ 40,000 to 50,000 satoshis that is $1 value. If bitcoin price will increase more, that amount of satoshis will be soon $2 and so on. That's why to at least we have a compensation to the high fees we are dealing, bitcoin price should be high so that somehow we are being rewarded to our effort in holding or earning bitcoin. I believe soon the fees will be minimized once this scaling issue solved or slightly being handled.

I've seen to much bitcoin price shifts over last 4 years that I this current dip is not even surprise for me.
If you haven't been here when bitcoin spiked to $1200 in 2013 and then in 2015  price crashed to $230 then you might be scared by recent dip.
A piece of advice - every price crash is a great opportunity to buy cheaper coins. Go for it.

Damn you're right 50k satoshis is already more than a dollar now. 3 months ago it was just 50 cents. The crypto space keeps amazing me everyday. I also hope the scaling issue will be solved soon. Let's hope we make the best decision possible moving forward.

Not always a crash ended up with a bounce back , it could be a real disaster.
I mean when the market in downtrend and then the price continue get drops until reach the lowest price.
That time nothing you can do but suffering huge lost , be careful and don't be greedy, take your profit even it is just a little bit. There's no harm to keep believing on something like this , the price will go up but noone can guarantee it.

Never comment on bitcoin blindly please. Saying "don't worry, it will be up anyway" is totally meaning less. Nobody can guarantee that bitcoin prices won't go under $2,000, for example.

In my experience no matter how many dump that will happen the price of the bitcoin will be pump and go back to it's price and even it can surpass it because the bitcoin is based on the supply and demand law so as time pass by the bitcoin will pump and so it's profitable if you take bitcoin as long term investment.

When the price came down a few days ago I did not panic, but I bought again, and this time bitcoin back on the trend of increase. I hope it can get back to $3000
 

With a breach of support like this one it's hard to expect much in terms of another bull run. Ideally bitcoin prices would remain stable but approaching alltime highs after such a short time isn't too feasible in my opinion.

Its understandable. Almost everyone here is very optimistic as far as bitcoin goes price. But of course you will feel frustrated when you see the price dip. Its not normal to really feel that way. I also feel that way, but I don't get emotional and just dump my bitcoin. And I always think it in a positive way, the perfect time to buy bitcoin when their is a crash.

Everybody know btc price is huge volatile and the price moment is 100 - 300 $ in a day it can move easily. Depending upon the global economics and big countries by large decision may change the future of the btc in terms of pricing. Like after Japan legalizing it btc prices soared nearly 3k and now it take a dip to 2550$ around. So no one can actually predict this.

Well indeed it is today the main problem is being encountered on a fee on each transaction we do. Where is bitcoin asked a high fee to be able to immediately get a confirmation, it will automatically give you a bad effect on the growth of the bitcoin. It was but obvious for bitcoin price to fall because it was not the genuine growth due to the demand for the usage but it was from speculators who was trying to make profits out of it. Yes, I still believe that some lower figures are possible in this period and yet we are going to stand somewhere between $3,500 to $5,000 at the end of this year. Yup many experts are predicting that in August month we will see there will be a huge price variation in Bitcoin. But this is not sure if it happened then definitely this time it will cross $3000. Once the price reached this target, then it will not come back this is my prediction. But don't worry now the price is settled at $2500 so if we buy some coins now in future it will give you min 20 to 30% profit in 2 months.

I personally don't really worry about what's going to happen, but I can understand why others aren't looking forward to the possible negative aspects. I was initially looking to use altcoins as some sort of a temporary safe haven for around 25% of my Bitcoin holdings, but I am glad I didn't actually do so. This current ERA is the strongest point of bitcoins adoption so I'm not totally worried if theres certain downfall will be happen since I know bitcoins price will climb back again and many speculators still speculates positively on what would be the outcome of the price for those upcoming years and mostly majority of them gives positive response. And bitcoin will surely be alive for many years with higher $ value on his head.

I hope the price dipping in the last few days has help investors to buy back bitcoin and accumulate again. But now the the price has rebounded so some have take advantage and bought again, while other missed that opportunity. The crash though was short lived, and investors just want to cash out.

No need to be afraid of anything. We finally have a major agreement on SegWit2X that at this point enjoys nearly 90% in signalled miner support. What you are probably referring to is the UASF on the first of August -- with this new agreement the planned UASF has been prevented. Aside from the regular volatility that we have been experiencing, I see no reason for the price to tank significantly in the coming months.

I really wish I was signed up for exchanges when that huge dump happened. I could have only bought $100 worth of bitcoins with coinbase and they were down! Damn! Lost out on a lot of potential. I saw mid $2800(cad) for a few hours. Now we're back around $3600 cad. Ugh. Of course we're always heading upwards. We all know that!!

Anything is possible. Btc can crash or it can be hacked or something else unforseen for now may happen. As of the moment, it would seem that btc is invincible but its best not to be complacent and have a backup plan in case the unthinkable happens. For now we're almost sure that btc will recover. If we are especially talking about price point of view then I think in next 10 years bitcoin is not going to see anywhere below $50K as price is directly proportional to the increase in demand, we will have that level of demand in the coming years and I am excluding the participation of the institutional investors who invest for the speculation purpose. I hate it most when seeing the price down and it's now getting low but yes I know it is going to rise again. For the short period of time I'm into bitcoins, my observation is always like this. And once price correction happens, the next thing that should happen is an increase in price. But yeah, a year to wait before seeing a upper price movement is too long. Every month we are seeing a good price increase not a year.

But we don't have an idea on when it is going to happen that's why when we try to make some decent profit out of the falling, just buy some bitcoins. Do some buy backs and just re-sell them again when the price is quite good and just do the cycle again.

I think you don't need to worry about predictions, being active here in the forum is enough to know something that will or may or might happen on bitcoin's price. But also, managing your coins or your will be a hard thing to do because you must have good and quick decisions that will lead you to either a good profit, or a bad luck.

It is the same story as always, bitcoin goes up in price and then the price stabilizes and then bad news come and crash the price, the whales are making a fortune by just holding, selling at the top and then buying at the bottom and if we take into account they can do this in bitcoin, despite the large market cap, can you imagine the things whales can get away with by doing this with altcoins?

I don not worry about bitcoin price at all,  cause ive already seen several times bitcoin price goes down and after only 1 or 2 weeks the price climbed up again,  so if we encounter  btc price fall this week its only a normal happening. It will climbed up again  once everything is fix.

Indeed some exchanges are ready to open the market for BCC but I doubt that BCC can compete with bitcoin from all the Excellence of bitcoin that we know. As an example nowadays many companies have received bitcoin, of course that's hard to do by BCC because people will prefer to use bitcoin because bitcoin purpose is already clear.

Yes,  looking the ongoing situation it is clear that bitcoin cash won't survive for even a single month. Here what it happens is purely based on the speculation and acceptance users provide. We have no reason to worries in bitcoin price because I believe that their value will increase. But one thing are bothering me how long bitcoin price increase?

We are almost two times this price which stands in at 4k3 am hoping we can see five thousand soon.

Sometimes money and emotions are something very difficult to separate like politics and religion.

I prefer to not get over excited with the price of bitcoin, I know people want to have a bitcoin price as high as possible but since I still do not have as much bitcoins I will like for the price to remain stable for some time, especially if we take into account that this year has been crazy good for bitcoin.

Yeah that will be a dream come true but I think the same I think it is going to take a lot of time for that to happen, just one thing, your target of 1 million per coin is going to take a lot of time, you are better off concentrating yourself in getting more bitcoin than to wait for those prices.
