I was asked by a friend why I don't promote Bitcoin { why i hated it} but love promoting altcoins. My reply was that Bitcoin can't give me 1000-5000% ROI in 2-3years time anymore but with altcoin that is possible.

I notice that each time I promote Bitcoin, I'm giving the early investors easy passive income why I settle for chicken gain.

Honestly I will prefer $50,000 in altcoins (with possible potential, underpriced and undervalued) than in Bitcoin.

You just selfish man~ since you do think that kind of thing. Bitcoin might not give you 1000-5000% ROI but this is the coin which you can really rely on when it comes on support. We are already late compared into those earlier adopters but yet we can make money on small % basis.Id accept this is the era of some altcoin which would potentially give you 1000% but at the same time would give you 1000% more faster to lose money.

WTf man, if that was the only reason that makes you hate the bitcoin and so, you're also promoting the altcoin too? This time you can see the chart of the altcoin and all of them gets rekt.
But that was your own fault, if you are buying the bitcoin at 2010 and you must made a lot of ROI in the bitcoin.

All alt coins have potential but investing money to altcoins are risky. Bitcoin is going up and up. Thats why I love bitcoin.

No, I don't consider all alt coins have the potential some of them are real and most of them are fake. No real support from the developers as they just want to earn from the ICO this applies for the upcoming coins. For the old ones there are promising one and being supported by the community.


I don't hate promoting bitcoin but I hate those people that I told about bitcoin and ignored me at first glance and now they are boasting me their bitcoin profit. I stopped promoting because of these people and I don't want to be embarrassed again.

I don't hate Bitcoin exactly, but I think it needs to up its game given that altcoins with some interesting features exist. Bitcoin is in a vulnerable spot right now with all the infighting and forks and shit that's been going on lately, and I still think transaction fees are too high for Bitcoin to reach some of the obvious (untapped) markets right now.

You should be the one that catch bitcoin. Don't hate and blame bitcoin if you didn't have it while the price was even lower. I also regret that I didn't bought back when the price was still low but I blame myself for not believing it. There's no hate for me to bitcoin, it's pure love and I really like of what's happening to bitcoin. The price increases, the adoption are increasing and also it's demand.

First place, what wrong did Bitcoin do to you? I mean, "hate" is an unfair word 'coz if you invested earlier, you would have a different view. So it's not that Bitcoin is not or will not do good for, it's the timing that we failed to invest earlier. But still, even at its current value, Bitcoin still provides decent profit for late buyers. I think there is no reason to hate bitcoin. i think those people who hate bitcoin they do not know the importance of bitcoin. i am sure once they will know about the importance of bitcoin i am sure they will not lose any more time and will invest most of their money in bitcoin. I think it is our responsibility to introduce bitcoin in such area where people do not have any idea about bitcoin so that they may also get good profit from bitcoin.

Last March to May 2017 is the best year for alts.. Now all alts are going down. And how could you predict which alts is going 3x to 5x? Its too risky to gamble your money in alts while Bitcoin is about to dump.

I love Bitcoin and many alts. I think you are completely right about ROI though, many alts have and will go up 100x-1000x, BTC won't now. They are much more of a risk but much more money can be made.

All these forks are a joke really, make normal people who don't understand crypto avoid Bitcoin and alts in general because they think it is scammy for some reason. "Why should I buy BTC for £4500 when I can just wait for the next Bitcoin, Cash, Gold" It is ridiculous.

What I am aware of is that when you get shocked if alt coin you invest in is dump forever and you regret every single buck you put in such project ( I wish this won't happen but you should be very prudent because altcoins can make you +1000% as well as -1000% )

Just don't buy shitcoins or scams, I have played with alts since the end of 2013 and it has been the best thing ever after missing on buying BTC under $100. Hell even Dogecoin made me 13x in Feb 2014, within a few weeks.

Well, I don't disagree with you about the potential gains in altcoins. Alts will continue to have much, much higher gains than BTC. It takes much less money to pump those markets up; they are very "thin" markets with little liquidity. Bitcoin isn't particularly liquid as far as markets generally go, but it is much more liquid than alts.

That doesn't justify "hating" Bitcoin, though. I love Bitcoin's technology and I cherish the Core developers. The community is easy to hate because of the constant infighting and fork attempts from all sides (like BIP148, BCH, B2X), and because they largely mark any project which isn't BTC as a "scam." (See Tone Vays)

But Bitcoin is still the king, and that is unlikely to change. You should appreciate BTC, because without its success, altcoins are likely to suffer.

I can not hate bitcoin because it all started from there, maybe your best choice fell to altcoin because you got an advantage there but for my taste I prefer bitcoin because I see it has a very high price potential in the future. If you buy the first time bitcoin appears you probably will not hate it because now you have become rich in this world because bitcoin is not altcoin. I would rather take that money in Bitcoin, at least then I can exploit the various opportunities presented and not try to pretend that a majority of alts will actually have some kind of long-term gain. Most alts gain value due to pump n dump schemes from a group of people and then they are forgotten about within a few weeks, you typically just hear of the few good ones that somehow managed to stick around after the pump, or they never really were pumped in the first place and just slowly grew over time.

Bitcoin has had ~1000% return since the beginning of the year iirc. That's already within your desired threshold. Altcoin trading, not sticking with any specific single altcoin, is what gets those ROIs. And you have to be good at it.

I just found that you are a silly guy, why else can generate passive income from bitcoin, but you do not? You are the referral for them, but you can not do better than them, which is why you do not like bitcoin. To me, bitcoin is a super-virgin, a real "living" currency. And it gives me a lot of stuff.

I agree with you. if you follow a bounty and ico, it is true altcoin currently has a very good potential for it, but not mean you hate bitcoin. because it all started with bitcoin.

Some peoples are hate Bitcoin. Because they have poor knowledge of Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency. Other peoples are like to buy a Bitcoin. The price increases, the adoption are increasing and also it's demand I accept that. But this is risky to invest in Bitcoin. When will go down they don't judge the Bitcoin. So some peoples are not like to invest in Bitcoin.

I think there is no main reason for hated bitcoin. If anybody hates bitcoin, it can be decentralized of bitcoin and online based wallet.

for me i have no reason to hate bitcoin. why? it because of this i got extra in come for this i can buy what i need and i like this currency because even without a job i can earn on this and the price is still increasing....so no reason to hate bitcoin if you hate bitcoin maybe thats your opinion....

Really selfish, altcoin always has the opportunity, by using bitcoin to invest in altcoin, I can make a profit from both. However, for me, bitcoin is always the most worthwhile investment.

I can't argue with that, but Bitcoin is still the safer investment. Whatever works for you though! Just be sure to tell them that altcoins are far riskier. They can't expect each altcoin to take off the same way Bitcoin did.

For  me, there is no reason to hate bitcoin. Just because you love investing in alt doesn't mean you have to hate bitcoin. We have our own taste of investing our money, if you love to invest in alt then be it.  But do not say anything against bitcoin just because you did not get what you want from it.

I do not hate bitcoin, in fact when bitcoin prices are in an upward trend, some altcoins have decreased.
it is good if you can divide your money to invest in some altcoins, because of course not all will experience a large ROI within 2-3 years.

We are cryptocurrency enthusiasts and love both Bitcoin as well as altcoins. But the reason mentioned by you isn't relevant to me. When you say you could make 50-60x with altcoins (which in my view is highly unrealistic, max possible is 10-15x with hodling for 10-12 months), it is attached with 50-60x risk. No experience or study can make you ascertain best time to buy or sell particular coin. It's all depend on luck. Most of the time, investors lose.
While on other hand, BTC is now mature kid. With investing there, you can sleep peacefully as your amount isn't gonna fade away in night. Bitcoin is still much better investment than shares as it still has capability to give you 150-200% return p.m.

Yes, I total agree with you, No coin can make you 5000% profit. If it exists, I think its the most risky coin in the world. No one is brave enough to put $50,000 in that altcoin. They will choose BTC with lower profit but more safety.

Well you are right about that. Altcoin price can increase to that percentage, it's like a long term investment. In the other hand, the price of bitcoin can increase like that 1000% in 2-3years but bitcoin is the most popular cryptocurrency here. Oh, i don't hate bitcoin here.

finger of blame at yourself....because you did something wrong, whether it was selling too early,

I do not hate bitcoin, if you talk like that, it's your right, before that thing you should know or maybe forget, "without bitcoin all other coins will not exist", in other coins may indeed generate more profit because the price is still cheap and not stable, in contrast to bitcoin the price is very high

have to agree with you here. I dont hate bitcoin LOL, but I;m not so enthusiastically blinded by it that I can't see the potential of other alts. Take ETH for example. ETH used to cost less than a dollar folks, and we are here. And obviously there will be more upward movement; not only are we under an ath in ETH, but if you believe bitcoin will go up you have to believe that ETH will as well. And thats just one example (im not an eth fanboi. I was not fond of ETH when it first emerged.). Look at LTC, look at Ripple.

I can't hate bitcoin because it has changed my life in a snap.Bitcoin is giving so many opportunity of earning money.All altcoin comes after bitcoin success.I love bitcoin for it's hige price.I can invest on bitcoin without any doubt.The only thing I dislike about bitcoin is I can't use it everywhere and my country banned bitcoin for money laundry.Everytime I need to convert bitcoin to fiat first then use it.I hope bitcoin will spread more on future and I can use it anywhere anytime.

Unfortunately you won't make money on altcoins if you lack basic investment skills and too high expectations.

Certainly there's no reason to hate it but if you'll read his concern, he hated promoting bitcoin. There's no actual hate for bitcoin because everyone loves bitcoin. And we do have our own choice so if someone hates bitcoin it's either he sold most of his bitcoins while the price was still low and hated to see the price now pumping or they just really don't like bitcoin because it is not his taste and their own choice are into alt coins and they love it.

Here this is the truth that we can't make big earnings in the bitcoin only investment and trading Because bitcoin is already at high potential price ( since it will continuously increase but will take long time of month by month interval ).
But in the altcoins we need a better understanding to choose the perfect investment for the coin , Because there are thousands of coins available in the market and people  are confused to buy which one , but still people are making bulk earnings .
Here perosnally I like both altcoins and bitcoin Because I didn't find much difference between these two Because making slow earnings in the both for the flcutuations .
If you can see clearly with the comparison of history then you will found that bitcoin has more flcutuations of big pump and dump , so chances are same like altcoins in the bitcoin to make better profit easily .

I think this is a really good point, for me trading alts typically I make 10-20x on an investment holding for a year (Bar any selloffs like the one currently happening) but when you buy an alt there is always a chance it could go much much higher. like STRATIS 400x, out of nowhere extremely quickly. It is a luck of the game really but I think taking the risk with alts will always be more profitable than just trading/holding BTC alone. The only problem is alts are a lot more likely to fail than BTC.

The thing is BTC won't 1000x now, it just won't happen. I think there will be many more alts that do over the next few years, but then returns will start slow down completely with heavier government regulations and profit won't be made as easily as the markets won't be as volatile. For now we are still all early(ish) adopters, and whoever buys the next big altcoin will make a lot of money. The only way to make millions from BTC now really is if you have millions, maybe hundreds of thousands IMO.

I think we live in a world where everyone has the right to their own opinion,and if someone does not like BTC and prefers altcoins I can understand that.
There is always some nice and interesting altcoins on market which provide the opportunity for earnings.But the only thing that bothers OP is just that he is not early investor and thinking that by promoting BTC just fill their pockets.

I think things should be looked from another angle also.Some people invest 5,6,7 year ago and they are early investors-but if we invest today in next 5-10 years we will be in some way early investors for them just because we invest at 4000$ or 6000$ and BTC could worth xx time more then today.

I believe Altcoins would not be there if Bitcoin didn't exist.
I also like the idea of investing in Altcoins rather than Bitcoin, because of the higher growth potential, however we need to note it is riskier.

Overall money coming into bitcoin has the trickle down effect. it will improve the image of bitcoin attracting more and more and people will seek opportunity in altcoins after taking a position in bitcoin.

if u would see bitcoin ursurped by another coin it will slow the adoption rate.

Institutional money going into bitcoin though is probably not going to move into altcoins as readily.

Haha thats a proof of unlimited wants a human has. People not satisfied with 15-20% return in bonds and funds found a magical return of 100-200% in bitcoin. This was a sort of magic for them. Now they are not even satisfied with this much return and want 5000% return. Altcoins have their own merits and demerits be cautious before you run for a 5000% return.

bitcoin has given me 3966.66% profit in 2-3 years just by holding it.

altcoin on the other hand go down in 2-3 years but they are getting pumped (1000%-5000%) in a couple of months for example if my memory serves, ripple was pumped about 6700% in 3 months and it is all down-hill from there and will continue getting dumped the rest of the year too.

but that is just my observation, you can promote, invest, dump,... anything you like.

Your reasons for hating bitcoin is not genuine, there are countless number of people who are already millionaires thanks to bitcoin, some few years ago when bitcoin was not popular those people took a risk bought bitcoin and hold and price skyrocketed yielded high returns for there investment, if you are also an investor then, you wouldn't have hate bitcoin.

Bitcoin's adoption has stalled in the last there years while people argue about blocksize etc. Most of the action is taking place in the alt space - see ethereum for example, plus a bunch of other innovative coins.

It's your opinion and I respect that, but from my point of view you are missing the entire purpose of bitcoin. You apparently just see it as a way to trade and earn some cash. Although it allows you to achieve that goal, since right now it works mostly as an asset, I don't think that's the true value or purpose of bitcoin. If you think the only value in crypto is that the price of a given coin will rise in the future, then you are describing a bubble...

Bitcoin has value on itself. It's secure, decentralized, it's not dependent in the middle man to make a transaction (banks), it can work as a store of value because it's scarce (like gold) but it can be used as an online currency, it's not dependent on governments (so it wont be affected by inflation when bad governments mess up the economy of a country). The list could go on and on, and most alts don't offer you that. Some of them are just used for pump and dump. That can give you profit in short term, but since most of them are just empty, I cant see them as a true investment.

I'm not against trading, but bitcoin can be used to so much more than that. I think you "hate" bitcoin, simply because you don't understand it.

I think to hate bitcoin for me is not there at all because until this moment I still get a profit that I think is very meaningful for me. but for the reason why you hate bitcoin I think you are less in analyzing about the advantages and disadvantages in bitcoin

Depending on each person, you may hate Bitcoin, but now millions of people around the world still love it, still investing in it and making it grow more. And I think the way you invest will be different for you, but actually investing in Bitcoin can help you earn more money than many other Altcoins.

Of course that i don't hate bitcoin, Its contrary, I like it so much, and i prefer to collect bitcoin than collect other alternatives coins that have a low or a medium potential, because, i believe that bitcoin is the best cryptocurrency for investing, It's right that other altcoins are good, but bitcoin is better in my point of view.

There is no reason for me to hate Bitcoin. Although BTC price is not rising by 10x or 100x, it has been rising steadily.

I do agree if you find the promising altcoins, the profit can be huge giving you 100x time return or so.

Investors like you are the kind of people I would refer to as hungry investors, you're only rushing for the gains not even minding the security of your business. AltCoins are good though but they can never meet bitcoin, with bitcoin all you just need to do is to be patient and watch your investment rise, while am so sure that altcoins can give you heart attack because the price can just rise very high and then drop and would never reach that high price again.

I think different people may have different reason to hate bitcoin, although i cannot see such reason for which one can hate bitcoin, but everyone has their own psychology, In think people can only ignore bitcoin if they do not really know about it, who do not have any proper knowledge about bitcoin. I am sure if such people are properly introduce about bitcoin, i am sure that they will certainly start loving bitcoin and will immediately become part of bitcoin world.

It seems to me that you are not right. No one is stopping you to think and use altcoins. What is wrong is that your bitcoins are increasing in price? It can help you to compensate for possible losses from bad investments in altcoins. Besides, bitcoin won't grow constantly. Those who just sell their coins will remain with income. Others may lose everything they have.

stick around with altcoins for a longer time than just 2-3 months and you change your mind, just like that.
here is how it is going to go down.
the inevitable altcoin dumps will affect you too at some point, and since you are believing in them you will continue to bag hold. that leads to loss. your first loss. but since you don't want to accept it, you won't see it for some time. the loss will grow and soon you can't handle it and will dump at 50%-80% loss.
now you only have 20%-50% of your initial investment to work with and come back to bitcoin.

what is wrong with bitcoin? too many people is agree that bitcoin is another solution for us to make money, bitcoin help us to earn something value in our life. bitcoin itself give a value for us and i think bitcoin is our investment although bitcoin can not give us big ROI like the op said, at least we can trying to earn more bitcoin so finally we can earn more money. i think it is not about 1000-5000% ROI but for me, no matter how much the amount, i don't hate bitcoin.

To be frank, I have the exactly thought as you , it’s all about risk and reward , bitcoin shows me higher risk compare to its reward and no chance to go 10x , I mean not in near future and bitcoin itself may be the earliest blockchain application but it’s changing and updating too slow, the transaction is freakin slow and expensive right now too ! I used to think that, but I've not found an altcoin that has given me such returns. Bitcoin gives me smaller but more consistent returns so I'm gradually selling my altcoins for BTC.

I hate Bitcoin for some reason.Every person loves his country.So he does not want his country money to be trafficked in other countries.I learned that one country's money is being trafficked in other countries through Bitcoin.Besides, I have heard more about the illegal things, particularly drugs, through buy Bitcoin .

I do understand you do not want to invest in bitcoin as it wont give much turn over as like you invest in altcoins and get more turnover in 2-3 years as bitcoin price has gone really up. Why there wont be a chance for bitcoins grow from $6000 to $9000. There are still firm chance to become. So truly investing in bitcoins now would really give a lot turn over as like you may get turnover out of other altcoins in 2--3 years. Best of luck dude.

I do not hate Bitcoin properly, but I think the game needs to be given that altcoin with some interesting features exist. I don't hate Bitcoin. If I am to invest in Altcoins, it is the Bitcoins which I will use to purchase the altcoins. So why should I hate it?

I hate bitcoin for being so aggressive, I remember throwing my keyboard because I was idle for 3 -4 months and waiting for my pay to buy bitcoin, all was set and planned then when I come back, the value just exploded and was planned to buy 5 bitcoin but ended buying 2 bitcoin. That scenario frustrates me and hated BITCOIN for that. I hate that I love you bitcoin  ;D

You might be saying some truth in it. However, this kind of mentality has also some advantages as well as disadvantages. Altcoin investment is rather riskier than bitcoin investment. Altcoins may die early, bitcoin will not. Altcoins may fall very hard down rock bottom but for bitcoin, it will never happen. Altcoins are also very hard to tell whether when to fly, bitcoin has been consistent on the other hand.

Bitcoin has a great potential than altcoins. You are much more safer in bitcoin than any altcoins in the long run. Unless you have a very good trading system to bet the cryptomarket that way you can take advantages of the big fluctuation of altcoins. Goodluck to you.

Op stated that he hates because bitcoin because of peers gaining than him. I think he is just entitled to his own opinion. Bitcoin is just waiting for any price increase and i do agree with him that you can get more profit in altcoin. But in a long term with high percentage. I do not hate bitcoin but i too am making some profits in altcoins and even token release. But also in bitcoin you can have profit either short term or long term because every hour, the price changes.

I don't hate Bitcoin, instead I highly appreciate it. what i hated most was myself, when i turn my back on Bitcoin when it was release at 2009, IWhen the first time i read about Bitcoin, it was really amazed me. Then I started to earn Bitcoin thru mining, for some reason, I haven't continue pursuing on mining.   

it is natural that if you hate bitcoin, because you are an altcoin promoter, in general it is technically a technical analysis when bitcoin price rises then altcoin price will decrease although not all altcoin decreases if bitcoin price rises.

The Reason you are saying that Bitcoin doesn't gives you 1000% returns or more for you to dislike the bitcoin is not the right attitude. Actually you have missed the entry or opportunity for being a early adopters of bitcoin and that's why you are not able to understand the power of bitcoin. And even now it is capable of giving a good stable returns if you hold for long term. If there is any crash, then it will be the bitcoin who will stand with you and not the altcoins. And note that not all the altcoins are good to trade, here you have more than 500 altcoins and selecting the best among them and then hold it for some period till it gives you the 1000% returns is not a easy job.

I think why I hate about bitcoin is its volitility in price. I love to use bitcoin as a way of payment for my business but how can I accept it if its price is not stable enough. I do delieve that time will come that bitcoin will get its stable range but as for now I will settle for fiat as my way payment. And with regards to users, many are still not aware about bitcoin and what is its use  but I think we still have a long way to tackle but eventually we will get there.

I don't think that it is hateness for you because it is a type of use that in which you use .
Here I can also say that I hate with the bitcoin much but in actual this is not  ,Here for me bitcoin is a medium to use another cryptocurrency Because we can't use altcoins all without bitcoin , Because most of the trading sites offers only bitcoin with altcoins only trading market .
Here in actual why I hate in small also is that because we  need confirmation to wait and sometimes ( yet not for me ) results into more wait due to more traffic of transactios .

I hate bitcoin because it is untraceable, if someone hacks our account we cant trace who hacks us and wheres my bitcoin balance. If we sent im wrong address we dont have a chance to get all back.

I'm not an ungrateful person nor am I a jealous type who wouldn't promote bitcoin just because someone else has more of bitcoins than I do and me promoting bitcoin would benefit others more than myself. Altcoins for 2 years would rather die than give you a profit. Each month there is about 30 new altcoins and statistics show that 90% of them die within a couple of months. For 3 years you'd rather lose their investment than multiply.

I respect your opinion, yes it's true that altcoins are also advantageous in their own ways but it doesn't mean that you will become a one sided person and not consider the other. Altcoins always have the chance to prove their worth but can't you see that bitcoins are worthy too (actually more worthy than altcoins). Well, you're just looking for more profit. Bitcoin can't give you that since it requires big capital now. But people who buys bitcoin before at 4 digits and still holding their btc have now enough money that they can say "Wow". I am envious with them that they had started to know bitcoin at the very beginning. But not enough reason for me to hate bitcoin or stop promoting it. But in fact I'll strive harder to have enough btc in the future.

I used to be active in altcoins until I had plenty of altcoins but after I had kept them for quite a while, it turned out that the altcoin market movement was so slow that I decided to stop investing in altcoins. Now I only have some altcoins but not in large quantities, I just keep it hoping its price will be at the pump someday. I never hate bitcoin, because the bitcoin market moves so fast that I can make a profit quickly.

Well that's not a legitimate reason for one to hate bitcoin. Altcoins are always better in short run, whereas it's not the same for bitcoin. Always bitcoin as your major part of your portfolio. Hate bitcoin or like bitcoin, no one cares, you will reap benefits only in a long run and you need to have patience for that.

Yes everyone has their own choice, either they love bitcoin or hate it, but generally it do not feel good specially when we hear about people who says that they do not like bitcoin. i think they need to have some good informations about bitcoin, because bitcoin is the new emerging currency and i do not see any solid reason which we can turn as base to hate bitcoin.

You have a good point for yourself. But i don't think so. You promote altcoins having low price and desire that their value will increase and you will make a good profit. You have to remember that the price of bitcoin was also so low and the primary users worked hard to promote this. That's why they have right to make more profit than you. If you think about altcoins, the users who joined after you will make a less profit than you. It's a normal matter and you have to fix with it.

That's the reality that your efforts will be wasted if you keep on promoting to the wrong people. But once you landed to those people who are really interested on bitcoin, you'll never get tired of promoting it. I've been with that feeling that I'm talking to the wrong people and they never appreciated the effort that I'm doing for them just to teach them about bitcoin. There are only two reasons why I hate (not so much, but sometimes I feel hate towards it) bitcoin, the one reason is actually I love and hate at the same time. The first thing that I hate about bitcoin is its high value today. Why? As an investor, it is not a good choice to buy expensive cryptocurrencies/coins, one of which is bitcoin. With its high value and fast growth, a lot of investors will surely love to invest on it, but the value will be a problem if you are investing a small amount.

Second thing that I hate (and love) about bitcoin is its volatility. I love bitcoin's volatility because it entices people to invest on it. On the other hand, high volatility of bitcoin usually gives problem to investors especially when forking happens. Most of the time, when the value of bitcoin pump up too high, the next possible scenario is that it will also drop down immediately without even noticing it, which gives trouble to investors, especially when not watchful.

You are absolutely correct. Bitcoin is great but for late comers to the game alts are even greater. I was looking at my portfolio during the latest bitcoin price run. It hardly moved because I don't have a lot of Bitcoins relative to alts. If you look at the %gained, alts are the winner.

Overall Bitcoins may have many advantages and disadvantages but it is up to the people and society in what way does ot want to use it. Initally Bitcoin was hated by every country but now is started to being recognized in many countries.

More profits come with more risk. Only a few ICO can perform and rest it all get vanish with time. Altcoin definitely can give you far better returns as compared to BTC but it has %v chance of being fraud. On the other hand, BTC growth chart follows the rule of 'slow and steady' growth with far lesser risk.

That's a stupid reason to hate bitcoin. And I don't think there are any alt coins that will be giving you around 1000-5000% ROI in 2-3 years. You need to be extremely lucky to find one. Like you might get lucky with a shitty pump/dumb scam coin. But you will have to bear your own risk. Investing in bitcoin is less riskier than investing on those shit coins though.

I guess he would prefer the greater risk that altcoins bring than in smallest risk of compared. I know he will not gonna get his 1000-5000% ROI in 2-3 years but think of it like before. If you'd start to buy and invest now and you hold it for like 1-2 years. Imagine how many profit will you get because probably the price of bitcoin will going to double or triple in just 1 to 2 years. How's that if you think like that? It's almost the same, just like before when bitcoin was still like a shit coin until the community support it.

Theres no reason to hate bitcoin, i like bitcoin, i believed in bitcoin, it always gives me profit and this is my other source of income which gives me lots of money and the money i can get here is much higher than my salary. I really like Bitcoin. You should see that not all Altcoin can bring ROI easily and quickly, even most Altcoin usually will not be successful and only a few are successful. For me Altcoin can not be used for long period of time, Altcoin is only a thing that applies short because most developers only do dump and pump in some time. Why would I hate bitcoin as it is. Why would I try to hate on something that has help me for the past few months. I think it will depend on how bitcoin and alts will develop and gain users each year. This year, it actually went doubled in just a half year range. And that could be your biggest regret from this time. Where in in alts you can earn  fast but with most likely greater risks. It was a boom for bitcoin, and I think that maybe you should have saved bitcoin too just incase of a big hike.

There are some reasons what I don't like in bitcoin.
1st is that this currency is non tracable you can't track the transaction in this.
2nd is its value is not constant it fluctuates every second.

Hello, I am new here and so farm I'm liking it. I don't have a reason to hate it and a lot of reason to like it because there are a lot of possibilities to earn money . Bitcoin is the crypto that enables your altcoins. I'm not sure how you can hate it to be completely honest. To get most Alts you need to go FIAT > Bitcoin > Alts, so if BTC suddenly disappears you'll see the market crash by a huge percentage (bringing your beloved alts down with it aswell).

Maybe they are hating bitcoin because of the volatility and because of the volatility it gives them difficulty to earn money and that is why it is not best to just do day trading in bitcoin because the volatility might give you losses and turn you into a hater for bitcoin. Everyone says i hate the transaction fee but it looks stupid nothing in this world is free you have to pay for what you want.The transaction fee is very very small  but in future it may increase as well.But in my thought you can pay that transaction fee because the bitcoin is giving you more profits so the fee is very very little.

Investing into bitcoin or altcoin is depending on your budget to spare on , The higher the value of the coin you will investing then the higher profit you will earn. I prefer investing in bitcoins because it is the highest value in the market and if you lack some budget for investing then i prefer that you should invest in ethereum coins because its safer and this coin has also potential.

I don't actually hate bitcoins but there is a time that I dislike it and it is only once. What I mean on dislike is that it is the time that I exchange my bitcoins when its value was still on 900$ and  after a month or two the price zoom to more than 1000$(I do admit that it is me who to blame but I just felt that I was disappointed on bitcoin on that moment). After then I realize that it is me who will adjust to the changes not bitcoins.

Your logic is a flaw, at this point BTC is crucial for crypto currency market. If btc falls, all of your alt will fall with it. BTC could end in future, but you wont earn money on alts you can buy now. There will be a huge 'reset' of the market and most of alts will die. So you don't need to invest in BTC, but don't hate it if you invested in alts, it's all connected :D

I too think that bitcoins can share the limelight with other famous alt coins around. My take on this is that BTC sounds much more pleasing to investors rather than alt coins that have so many itterations. Some thing I hate about bitcoins is the entry point to how much you can invest while making the most profit. Something I love about BTC is the high returns immediately after investment. But after reading this thread and giving alt coins a second thought, maybe it's about time I placed money on them.

That's why I'm shifting my reserve cash to alt coins because income is slow in bitcoins, but when it comes to alt coins, despite them having risks, I don't have to invest too many cash on alts. Bitcoins are just far too expensive for an entry point investor like me. But I do still have some share of my bitcoins. I still love investing on bitcoins.

Dude are you crazy? Do not trashtalk Bitcoin that cant give you 1000% of profit. If you bought Bitcoin way back 2009, you could have 3800000% of profit. Imagine from $0.16 to $6100. Truelly, the price of bitcoin is and has seriously affected the price of all other altcoins, which makes them look less important, but that does not give any reason why one should hate bitcoin. For me I don't hate bitcoin, but I like when the price stabilise and altcoins rise.

For those who are not really good at evaluating and analyzing altcoin like I think you do, We pretty much prefer bitcoin over it because it is the only crypto that you could rely on and trust that it will still give a good price. Yes, many of us are has given chances for altcoins, but most of the tokens we get are so undervalued, sometimes it gets easily dumped so it is a waste of investment. I do not hate bitcoin but I love it. In addition, I really love bitcoin because it helps me to gain more income and money. Even though the price of bitcoin is not stable and some fees are high I still love it. Be patience and love bitcoin because it will help you to have better future.

Lesson learn for me. I kept 100% in alt coins resulting in an imbalance portfolio. I would have done even better if I have converted from profit from alt coins to btc and vice verse from btc to alt coins.

The first thing that I hate about bitcoin is its high value today. Why? As an investor, it is not a good choice to buy expensive cryptocurrencies/coins, one of which is bitcoin. With its high value and fast growth, a lot of investors will surely love to invest on it, but the value will be a problem if you are investing a small amount.

Second thing that I hate (and love) about bitcoin is its volatility. I love bitcoin's volatility because it entices people to invest on it. On the other hand, high volatility of bitcoin usually gives problem to investors especially when forking happens. Most of the time, when the value of bitcoin pump up too high, the next possible scenario is that it will also drop down immediately without even noticing it, which gives trouble to investors, especially when not watchful.

Volatility is the reason why more people are investing on it. When price moves either down or up, people tend to invest and hold their bitcoins for a good profit through time. Your opinion is correct. But i don't hate bitcoin completely. The reason why i don't hate bitcoin because my first crypto is bitcoin, in this case that gives me many profit before joining altcoin. Bitcoin is growing, but can't handle the number of transactions per second that a truly global currency would need. This was especially true when bitcoin was mooning to $20k and transactions are backing up like crazy and transaction fees skyrocketing. Some people don't like the scaling solution that bitcoin is going for (lightning, segwit, instead of increasing block size). Someone made a fork of bitcoin that increased the block size which drastically reduced fees and transaction times compared to current bitcoin. People got tribal about it.
It's not really that different. But I am still measuring the performance of it relative to bitcoin. In only a few days I've gained more relative to bitcoin so if I converted back today I'd have more than if I just held. I plan on setting stop limits to convert back at different levels of gain in case things start to turn. I expect bitcoin will take a while to recover and since I do have some time available to trade I can recoup bitcoin losses if I'm careful and a little bit lucky.

To be fair I also bought some bitcoin as it continued to dip so I'm not writing it off... I just think that my money has a better place somewhere else for now and I'm okay with taking even a small gain if that was all I got.

My close friend asked me why I do not like Bitcoin. Then I told him that Bitcoin could not give me 1000-5000% ROI in 3 years.But with Altcoin that is possible.

Man, I think you are just bitter that the train has passed. It is not that you hate bitcoin per se, but rather you hate everybody who is already on that train that you have missed.

I have some bad news for you: even if some other opportunity presents itself in the future, it will NOT be any altcoin, because altcoins are just copies of bitcoin. It will be some other completely new technology and it will be easy to miss in the beginning, when it offers the most potential, and again you will have heard about it just after it has already made it to the media. Obviously, you will have missed another train already by then.

I always prefer investing in bitcoin and sometimes potentials altcoins such as NEO, QTUM, and Dash, back in the days. But currently, I prefer investing more promising ICOs because that is where anyone can make their initial investment 10x over in a small period of time, usually within 3 months. There is no reason to hate into bitcoin as there is nothing illegal of it. If you don't like the technology then simply ditch it. Right now I am a little disappointed because I didn't expect a huge correction and fast correction after making an ath late last year. But I know this will return back to its ath soon.

I'm good with bitcoin and altcoins. Ideally, I think you should have both bitcoins and altcoins. This gives you more room to grow. I agree that altcoins can make profit faster than bitcoin, and I love them for that.

Well it depends on your choice of investment let say you invest the same $50000 into bitcoin which have high market cap and at each market rise you gain the profit that is due to your amount of investment without facing the risk of being pump and dumped at once as it happen regularly with other altcoin, one you will be at peace with the fear of losing you capital at once.
