Is the plan to apply artificial intelligence and neural networks to your applications or is that wrong?

 IF we can achieve our goal of 250,000,000 LION we will be able to utilize neural networks to filter and deliver data in a clean format to the end user. This will become more robust as the platform evolves and more data is known.

 We currently have access to the data we need to create our filtering/screen tool, "Digital Asset Screener". Along with that comping data/sentiment in the future will help to deliver better information and better results for users on the platform.

This is a good idea, and definitely something we could build given our data down the road. Down the road we will also look to create a community voting center to vote on certain features and adds in to the platform.

This idea also aligns with the due diligence process of our ICO underwriting as well as the functionality of the Digital Asset Screener. The CoinLion platform will evolve as we move forward. The success of the token sale will ultimately dictate the deliverables.

Yes. This is a good question. We feel we can build many of these features for our min goal. Some of these additional features that we want to add will be achievable along the way. Even if we hit our min goal we have other options to be able to expand. There are institutional eyes watching us and if people will gravitate to the project we will be able to sustain CoinLion long-term. If we hit can even achieve the minimum goal many doors will be opened to continue the project and we will be able to get the funding we need to grow CoinLion to the full vision for the platform.

We also have had numerous conversations about additional features that we haven't included in the white paper and if we hit our full goal we will be able to include them. Features such as integrated debit cards, decentralized dashboard, fully customizable dashboards and more. We have just recently partnered with an incredible development team who will be building out aspects of the platform. We will have a workable demo within two weeks.

DO WE NEED ANOTHER EXCHANGE?
You may not know it, but there is a silent war carrying on within the cyptocurrency world. It’s a war waged over crypto exchange market share, and the battleground is which exchange will be the first to offer the most complete package. In the event of a 25% move in a 5 minute period trading will halt for an hour. As currencies mature, more will be added to the policy.

Cold Storage: CoinLion stores 98% of deposits in cold storage. The remaining 2% will be used to facilitate faster processing of withdrawals.

Insurance: Hacking is a high risk. Chinese exchange GBL and Mount GOX lost a combined 395 million worth of BTC. While those examples happened several years ago, the risk persists today.

To quell investor worry, CoinLion will offer full pay out insurance if CoinLion has a (successful) attack on its online storage. As an added insurance for United States residents, FDIC will insure accounts up to $250,000. FDIC involvement is a first that I’ve seen.

CoinLion’s vision is certainly ambitious because it’s a new concept. The addition of their PMT and building a strong community depends on one thing: active users that find value in the CoinLion’s ecosystem. At this point everything is theory. CoinLion won’t know if they have a hit until they see user data (registration, attrition, retention, PMT use, etc.). I’m sure CoinLion is looking for a userbase tipping point level where the PMT tools will increase in value as more members hop aboard. CoinLion may also need to tweak the incentives to join and build a strong user community.

Regardless, I think CoinLion represents the 2nd generation of exchanges where users don’t just trade, but also interact and share ideas with other like-minded users. It’s almost a hybrid between an exchange and social media site, but native to the CoinLion platform.

I also noted that this is the second exchange that will offer ICO underwriting services. I think it’s a great idea. I hope ICOs will start noticing that they can raise more funds through underwriting. As an investor, I want to pick a company that is going through an underwriting process over one that is not.

I love the thought of being able to manage a great part of my portfolio in one place with a hopefully quick and easy interface instead of having to handle over 10 exchanges. That said, do you plan on listing smaller coins as well? Or are you going to focus on major coins / tokens?

Yes these are all great questions. We are planning on listing many smaller coins. We are also exploring ways to tie in with other order books using new emerging technologies to pull in liquidity.  Yes you can create several small portfolios all geared toward different objectives. Using the asset screener you can screen for criteria you like and then integrate into your portfolios. You could also create portfolios using others portfolios and tweak or modify them to the ways you like.

We are also planning to integrate in community voting. Users will be able to vote on new coins and features that will be added to the platform.

I like kucoin's percentage slider that lets you open a position as a percentage of your btc or eth holdings. Bitstsamp is just super fast. In general I like it if there are useful charts. Implementation of tradingview is the best in most cases. Also, I would be happy if the trade report / history can be exported via csv in a friendly format. Some exchanges make it very hard to turn their exports into useful data. Having the option to export as actual spreadsheet would be nice as well. In my country every transaction needs to be documented for tax purposes so I rely on excel a lot.

Good question, I believe CoinLion shud allow this option on their platform as it will encourage managers as well.

Also,  given the recent rulings by various governments on cryptos, have you planned a solid legal backup?

Yes this is a good question. We have two backup plans in place if regulators make it difficult for us. One is to File under a Regulation A - We would need to move the Token Sale back if that happened - we are not expecting this to happen.

The second plan would be to raise the money through venture capital and accredited investors - we have already raised a substantial amount through private offerings and believe we would be able to raise the full amount we need if we had to take this route.

I am going through your whitepaper, i must say this project its quite ambitious, the platform you plan to release offers a lot of interesting services, im not sure there is somenthing like this at the moment, maybe QUOINE ?

I found also interesting the social aspect and monetizing of it.

The state of development is moving rapidly. Those are mockups correct we are in the process of building a demo, and will be building out from there. The demo should be out in before the end of next week. The demo will also be enhanced as we move forward into the ICO

Wow that is a big list. Would a CoinLion user have to create accounts on every exchange and use his own API key or would the CoinLion account suffice to access these exchanges?

Another feature I like is how bitstamp displays your limit order in the graph for the order book.

How advanced is your demo going to be? Just a sneak peak or pretty functional already?

Thank you for the questions. CoinLion will be running its own exchange first and foremost so you will be able to trade and use all the tools through the CoinLion platform. Integration with other exchanges will be happening as we continue to develop out the platform. That being said, Yes the user would have to have accounts on these
exchanges to integrate in. We are exploring ways around this. We are also exploring ways to tie in order books with using recent new blockchain developments. This will ensure that in addition we will be able to provide substantial liquidity for many assets.

The demo is going to be at first a sneak peak. Then about a week later we will have a more functional version. Its is a continual development process.

Nice you can show a demo before/during the ico to demonstrate how the platform will work, since the ICO is starting November 26th.

Sorry, just misread the name and tought these were the new advisors you were mentioning.

However, will the platform at a certain stage of the development be plugged in an ethereum test network in order to spend/gain test token on the tool demonstrated and get the feel of it?

Are you planning to extend the demo with the latest stable versions gradually till everything its ready?

I assume it's not easy or it would expose CoinLion to the risk of holding BTC and ETH on those exchanges, but if you could manage it - or access the liquidity by other means - that would be exactly what crypto people need. Especially if you don't want to hold BTC and ETH on every exchange or if you have very few funds. Also it would probably attract professional arbitrageurs to the plattform and thus generate some volume.

Are you planning on adding only major crypto-fiat pairs or are you thinking about offering fiat pairs for smaller coins as well? I miss that a lot.

The initial demo version is not going to be on the testnet - We may launch to the test net as we move forward before the official launch. The demo will move in two stages to begin first stage, which is visual, second stage will be dynamic. The launch of the MVP of the CoinLion platform will be functional, some features may be limited/restricted until they are fully functional. We are dedicated to adding the features and technology that we know users want and need.

Yes we are planning on adding fiat pairs and LION pairs - Our goal is to provide as much liquidity as possible across many digital assets. We want to also be able to support smaller coins and provide liquidity to them. Yes allowing the integration of exchanges will help to increase liquidity as there will be arbitragers. It will also help to increase market efficiency overall.

About this part, do you already know or could tell which bank are you going to use? In which countries is going to be located? Im asking because a deposit may take a longer period to get credited in my case if the bank is not in Europe for example

Im now trying to limit my investment to tokens so i don't have to install extra wallet and expose myself to risk, but i also miss out investment opportunities

That's right! So many ERC20 tokens out there it is hard to keep track of them all in one tidy location, alongside any other coins. Combining that with an easy to use platform, with access to research on your/different tokens based on respected users, and coin lion could be great. In the long run it will all depend on the community being involved and contributing to the platform but I think you're onto a good thing here! Very polished presentation on your website as well.

That all sounds very promising. There's definitely a need for a trustworthy quality exchange that has good liquidity for smaller coins. That alone would be enough for me to become a Coinlion user.

Will user accounts be regular email + password accounts or will there be "wallets" with private keys on the dual blockchain?

Ideally we will be able to provide some users with access to accounts with private keys. We believe in the decentralized model and feel that the more control we can put into the hands of the user the better of we are. That being said in order to have a product that is ready to be used in the marketplace we need to consider technology limitations. The goal is to provide the user with the best possible experience at this time we will operate email / password account in the MVP and then building out the dual blockchain system as we move forward to offer a decentralized model. We have also discussed offering a decentralized interface and exchange option so users would ultimately have the choice to trade decentralized or centralized. We feel there are pros and cons to both decentralized and centralized and if possible users should have a choice.

The demo looks very inviting to create a portfolio of portfolios. Should be very easy to diversify that way.

Let's say I create my own portfolio with 30% coin A, 20% coin B, 20% coin C, 15% coin D, and coin E,F,G 5% each. Can I "enlarge" or "shrink" my portfolio in one click? Kind of like buying and selling my own portfolio. Or do I have to enter all coins and percentages into the PMT?

Please include candlestick charts in the next demo, if possible. I really hope the charts will be good!

I was wondering if it's also possible to follow strategies? Lets say someone focusses on the macroeconomic side of the crypto market so he has 2 portfolios. and depending on conditions, he allocates his funds more towards one of the two portfolios. Can I follow that, too? I could probably just follow both portfolios, but let's assume on that profile there is another portfolio for news trading and one which is simply the investor's favorite coins, so I don't know which 2 portfolios belong together.. but writing this i realize that all portfolios will most likely have a description.. so it could be mentioned there, but still, it would be easier to follow 1 strategy instead of 2 portfolios. so will that be possible as well?

Yes all of this is possible. You would be able to create 1 strategy using a combination of other strategies as well. So what you are saying here might involve creating a new strategy from a combination of portfolios.

What I like most about while reading the White Paper that catches my attention is the companies security features. I've never seen this kind of security features in any other ICO. hmm... I am not sure if Binance had to freeze new users only because the number of registrations was too high. It's also possible that there was a lot of pressure put on them from the regulatory side. While I agree that competition is good to have, there are just too many amateurs starting an exchange and actually playing with ordinary peoples' money.

We had to defrost our tokens in another ICO I participated in. I'm new to the ICO space and I'm not sure if it's a standard procedure.

I think what it basically means is that you can't send them anywhere until you execute a "defrost" smart contract.

if my math is correct, purchasing LION coin AFTER the ICO means you would have gotten a lot more for your dollar? It’s basically went down significantly since the ICO?

This is all happening because the team is spending its time on the unnecessary. The working product is not yet out and the team is looking at July before they could get on an exchange. The token react to news and we don't have good news around here.

No one can buy any on IDEX and there is no sellers on yobit that's why. I'm definitely going to buy up the 7 cent sell orders in IDEX though when its back up

I will Hodl this coin till 1 dollar atleast. The team is 12 hours active atleast a day. We see them  all the time on Telegram.

I want to see the working product! Got to love a new exchange coming onto the market since some of the existing exchanges are getting away with charging way too much for altcoin listings. Once an exchange with novel features is up and running then we'll start getting some momentum.

In my opinion this is a very interesting project. CoinLion is an industry-specific solution for navigating complex jungles of trade and managing digital currencies. I support the view that trading crypt currencies should be a useful process.

An exchange is always a good project when the final product is at least acceptable. I think Coin Lion will deliver something which is much much better than just acceptable. Launch will be in October instead of July, but this will give them more team to perfect the LION platform. Team is strong and dedicated and I'm sure the price could go to very high levels. Time will tell of course!

Nice People! Nice project! It will be very interesting in the future so just invest! The cryptocurrency market is developing very dynamically. I believe that this project will find its place in it and maybe even become one of the leading ones in the future

I've invested a significant amount in this during their ICO - especially because it's a bit under the radar until now, therefore it was cheap. What I hope is, and I believe that could play out regarding timing: It could very well be that they start their platform into the start of next bull run.

But either way, exchanges that make things easier and reliable for the average guy will make an impact and Coinlion is one of a few players I consider to have a lot of potential.

Totally agree with you! Invested in early January on the ICO and bought some more after the bounties got dumped. Now I have a reasonable amount which, I believe will give me a very interesting ROI. And I’m going to use their platform for sure when it’s launched. Can’t tell when the next bull run will be, but best would be somewhere in August, just before their launch date ;)

Roadmap Update
We have added a progress tracker so you can follow along with the development of the platform. Much of the platform has been completed but several essential tasks remain.

CoinLion’s main priorities are the security of user’s funds and compliance around all required policies. We have chosen to undergo several redundant third-party security and penetration audits, as well as internal policy and procedure audits. These audits will take additional time to complete and need to be scheduled around the capacity of the third parties we are working with. We had originally hoped to launch an MVP version of the platform in phases. However, after much deliberation we have decided to launch the full platform at one time instead. Before launch we will perform multiple audits and security tests. Performing these audits on the entire platform at one time reduces additional cost and ensures nothing is overlooked. To be a sustainable and secure platform for years to come, this decision is necessary.

We would be doing the community a disservice if the platform were to launch without these security measures in place.

We will be updating the roadmap to reflect this decision, the current progress to date, and the additional time needed to ensure security and compliance. We had originally anticipated a July launch of the MVP with a limited selection of coins with a full platform launch around September. We now anticipate a full platform launch early Q4 2018. We appreciate the continued support and patience as we work hard to deliver a world-class trading platform.

It’s still very quiet here, but the project is getting along nicely and there are enough updates.
Liquidity is brought to multiple trading pairs and there is much more to come.. Where are the rest of my LIONs?


           

Coinlion is one of those projects that could very well turn out as pearl, while until now it's overseen and probably heavily underrated. I'm invested since the ICO (I was under the first 20 Investors or so in the pre-sale), never sold but bought more.

What many don't get is: Exchanges are complicated stuff, it needs a lot. That's also why it takes some time. Similar to LGO, who also started over a year ago and are starting now. Or NASH... All are different, but they all have great teams and I bought into all of them. What I really like about Coinlion: The combination of Trading, Portfolio-Management and Social Platform. I believe that can be very attracting for many and in best case become a viral-phenomenon.

Another aspect is: Many are impatient but I believe that Coinlion has a very good timing. A full launch 3 months ago would not have gotten the attention it deserves, simply because the general market was too quit. Now, that we see the bear market is over and that there is the chance that we even might run into a new hype Coinlion will be in a good position.

Update:

CoinLion plans to release an update to the platform early next week. This update will several improvements to the front and backend including the display of USD prices in the LION Markets.

The backend development team is currently focused on completing the ach integration.

The front-end team is working on additional UI improvements and features including the digital asset screener. These features will be rolled out as they are completed.

Marketing:

Since the beginning it has been CoinLion’s goal to build a feature rich platform that rewards users.

CoinLion believes first impressions are critical to long term success and desires to create an experience that keeps users coming back.

It is CoinLion’s desire to fully open the platform and begin a Grand Opening Campaign when ACH deposits are complete and any remaining bugs have been addressed.

● Paid Search: Paid search audiences will target those that demonstrate intent by searching for keywords applicable to the cryptocurrency industry (i.e. cryptocurrency trading platform).

● Programmatic Display: Display banners will target users based on their interests and applicable online behavior. These ads will be placed across applicable websites and mobile applications.

● Remarketing: Ads will be served to those users who visited the CoinLion website but did not pursue the intended action (i.e. new account setup).

● Twitter: This social platform will be utilized to target followers of relevant accounts as well as applicable influencers within the crypto space. The existing CoinLion user base will also be targeted within this platform.
