I think that Buterin is smart enough to understand that it's necessary for keepeng confidence in ETH to increase the price. So he and Ethereum Foundation will do whatever they can to increase the price. I hope it will reach 1000$ till summer 2018.

I think that this possibility is likely to happen and it may be late next year. ETH is a project with a long-term and sustainable development mission. As we have seen the market volatility everyday but the ETH is not impacted and its price grows evenly

I believe the price of ethereum in the future will increase more maybe the price will reach that price after few months. But this year the percentage to happen that price is low because the price of ethereum is stable and slow increasing but for sure the price of 1000 dollars is possible to happen in the year of 2018. Ethereum is the first ICO to be launched with succesfuly. Since it's launch the value is very stable compared with other altcoin. Personally it's make many  investor to invest in ethereum and then the price will be high. And my estimated for the next year ethereum price will bit $1000.

There is no telling when but that is not impossible. So far, eth is doing good and the people who uses the platform and invests on it are dramatically increasing. As long as eth will remain as competitive as it is today and be able to convince more and more audience, then it is no doubt eth could break to $1000.

It seems like 2018 will be a year the crypto market will grow by a huge margin. So with the second biggest market cap, ethereum will of course receive its' share from the growth.  I expect it to be 1k early 2018.

The price increase doesn't works that way, in cryptocurrency, price could just be pumped from $100 to $1000 within a night, calculating the price increase by the past doesn't really reflect the real condition.
Just if something big happened to Ethereum, it can just reached $1000 within a night as I said, do you remember when went from 0.02 BTC to 0.1 BTC within short time, just if the value to bitcoin holds the same amount, we should've been at $700 price

I think it will hit $1,000 in the coming months. But definitely it will not be very soon. Ethereum spent some few months wallowing in the $300 level. It did not even reach its previous All Time High yet, which is less than $400. Perhaps by the end of this year ETH will reach $400 and more and then by early 2018 I am hopeful that it will finally get more than $500 price. But not yet the 4-digit that we are dreaming.

Well this is a very hard prediction to make. Ethereum will keep on being more and more valuable with time but I’m not sure if it will make a that big jump soon. If it will happen it will in a year or so . Not sooner.

I think eth can reach 1000$ but in the future, i can not tell exactly when, i know eth has risen recently but this trend is very slow and take too much time, it rises every year but dropped too fast and hard to recover in this year so i hope eth can get back higher in next year.

Yes, there is always the possibility to achieve that value and even more. So, the best way is to hold ETH in a year so that we will be happy on the possible output. However, if we observe the fluctuation of the ethereum value it gives positive movement. Its not bad even it rise little by little, at least it increment and afterwards it will gain more value. Be patient, we don't know what is behind the cloud after waiting for a long time.

I certainly doubt that we will see a price appreciation this big for ethereum soon. Maybe in the coming years, but not now, nor in 2018. But who knows, crypto often proves reasonability wrong. If there is another boom like beginning of 2017, it could also happen sooner.

Ethereum's progress has been slow lately so most likely or hopefully it will increase and possibly hit the $1,000 target next year. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping by next year because I have been holding on to Ethereum for some time now.

Possible, when Bitcoin is above $20,000 :P I don't really like Vitalik, especially with the recent childporn legalization tweet LOL, but ETH is still a leading smart contract technology so far. If ETH could offer something new after these ICO hype is gone, $1,000 could be reached.

2018 might be huge for Ethereum, aside from sending/receiving. Eth serves a huge purpose the the Ethereum Network. People can built DAPP, smart contracts and automated tools which helps the society

There is a very grey cloud above the alt markets as the huge mid year pump faded away. However, IMO the strongest projects will continue to grow in value and there is a probability in the future that their value detaches from BTC and they aquire their own. Eth is a very good project with the mai problem being the huge ammount of scams built on it. But what we have to thik from current price is if the market will grow 3 or 4 times from this point...and it probably will so ethh at 1000 is a fairly good possibility.

The reason I think ETH will continue to grow is down to the fact it has a lot of adoption from the ICO / ITO market. With this and its smart contracts it is constantly in demand and with the demand it will continue to grow.

Will it hit $1000? Eventually but I think we need to see the volume of ICO's and ITO's go up from 60+ a month to 200.

Each and every year is good for bitcoin. Even by those years of bitcoin's steep drop it continued to grow and make those years the best. Upon such a thinking, 2018 is not that good for bitcoin or ethereum. On the whole, the growth happens with relation to the capital circulation.

ETH has got up into $330s and if it can breakout here, it can run to old highs near $400.

I think BTC fork is not unfair, maybe ethereum are lack of supports from the people why their value have less improvement. Honestly I was a little bit disappointed to the performance of ethereum last, because they allowed bitcoin cash to surpass them. But I still believing in ethereum that's why I hold my amount save, because I also wish that their price are raising up in 2018.

Year 2019 is ideal but seeing on its price movement then I would say that range would really be too long maybe on next year 4th quarter of 2018 might able to break that resistance but well its just an assumption since no one really knows on when we would hit up that $1000 price I'm really very sure that we would reach that point and as you said ETH do have a big area or place to develop and adopted even more because of its unique feature which is smart contract which would really be applied on real-life usage this is why its really worth of to hold ETH as of these days.

I think ETH is good, but need time to rise up it more

The price is continuously climbing higher quite fast in the last couple of days. If this will continue like this, $1,000 will be hit within the first month of 2018. But I doubt Ethereum will go on like this. We have all seen Ethereum surged several times in the past and even recently, but it will also move downwards after a while and then surges higher once again. I think Ethereum will not be able to reach as high as  $1,000 this year.

Only time can tell as to when Ethereum will hit hard at 1k$ on the market. But for the meantime, ETH has giving us a clue that it's nearing to that price mark because ETH now has a value of 729.10$ and we're just midway December.
To give a wild speculation on that, i think ETH's price will reach 1k$ before this year ends.

If you check my last few posts you can see that I am very bullish on ethereum, in my opinion it will reach 1000$ at the end of the year and maybe 2000$ in mid 2018  :D

There is no substantial reason I can see as to why it should keep increasing at 15-20 per cent per day.

I mean, I don't 'play' it, and crypto kitty is cute, but I don't see why that should increase the price by that much. Well, it was only a week ago as Ethereum began to decline that I thought the realistic expectation was $500. Just goes to show that today at above $800, we can throw all sense of reality out the window when it comes to crypto. I guess it was always bound to happen one last time before the year ended, where Bitcoin loses a bit of footing, and the alts take their time in the spotlight again. I just wish I could get into these cycles now that I recognize them. But so many times burned, and just happy to see my alts gain back a lot of their former losses against Bitcoin. I guess after all, I am still in dollar profit, even more so right now, so shouldn't complain.

It is very much possible to reach $1000 before the end of 2017. The growth potential of ETH is very high considering the movement of BTC. It's like filling the gap created by BTC  geometrical growth.

Not for this year, currently - there's an ongoing issues with Ethereum that caused a lot of pending transactions and etherdelta is down as well. Well, we cannot control this kind of situation but one thing is for sure I'm still a supporter of ETH and no matter what I will still hold it until next year probably by the end of 1st quarter of 2018 and by that time the value may go up to more than $1k.

There's no exact date on when would it will step at $1000 but i'm sure that it will step on that price sooner or later. Prices in the market is very volatile that's why i can't tell the exact date but i can give you a range of months since it is popularly growing in the past few days. Probably in the middle of January or February it will hit at that price.

Ethereum price prediction not so easy to given. Its very rare. I searching about price prediction of ethereum, there are a lot of prediction on different website. Price will be $1000 I hope in march/april 2019. But I am not sure that's price will must touch $1000.

I think that before seeing eth at 500$ we need to have some good push upward of the overall crypto ecosystem. IF btc will break the strong resistance at 5.8k and consolidate above those levels, then we will have a good movement and bullish scenario in front of us (many consider such levels as the bull run confirmations). But I don't think it will happen soon. ETH target for the next ATH is 5k-8k$ so, I will not be excited when we will touch 500$ ;)

After Eth v2.0 if market return to back and btc can rise, ethereum can rise to 1000 dollar easily in my opinion, it is depending on market conditions so we must look to btc price also.

ETH has previously hitted $1500 when btc was at $19,000, history often repeat itself and ETH can hit $1000 when btc is approaching $12,000. Only time shall tell.

A Ethereum to $1,000 would in today prices mean around 0.2btc for ETH, and eth would be number one on coinmarket cap, no this ain't going to happen. I doubt that we will see ETH go back to its all-time high btc price of around 0.1 btc.

Couple of months after posting this ethereum had reached more than what you are asking as the $1,500 value hits but this not took so long and after a months the price falls again drastically perhaps we should learn that volatility is always been a hindrance to what is crypto might heading.

Maybe you were not here when ethereum and cryptocurrencies market get dumped in December and January 2017and 2018 ! I don't really think that it takes around 15 days for ethereum to move from near $200 to around $1450! I don't think that long time matter for ethereum to move from $167 to around $1000 but good events and advancement will make this happen. If ETF can be approved before ending of July we are going to witnessing general grow in the price of almost all the coins.

Of course we hope that the market will soon recover and continue to rise, and $1000 will easy to reach, I prefer the increase that happens like this, 1% - 5% per day so that it makes anyone feel optimistic that the increase that occurs due to needs is not due to speculation.

The answer is Yes but when? This year?
