How can it be?
Why would any country accept a totally global digital currency as legal tender in their country?
A currency with open source coding and not controlled by anyone,
A currency which can be forked by anyone at any time.
The answer my friend is no.

it would take time i guess, it needs a solid system that can protect from misconduct behaviour, but if we see currency in exchange system is actually based on trust between two parties, cryptocurrencies could be the future "money", because trust in fiat money is decided by one party, the bank, but in crypto a lot of "people" decide wether your account is legit or not, and i think that would be the main concept in the future.

In the future, people will have opportunity to harvest what crypto has done today. Just like tractor in the past, people were saying if all farms will be cultivated using tractors then what will people do? hahaha. Now... We even need more tractors and we all still have to do a lot of tasks.

I don’t think that decentralized cryptocurrencies will replace government currency but they probably will eventually be used as an alternative form of payment to credit cards and PayPal.  I also think cryptocurrencies will have other functions like store of value or specific functions like internet of things or data storage or various other uses that these altcoins are being created for.

Digital Money or Cryptocurrency has value for being as valuable as money. Cryptocurrency has the properties of money that is durable, concise, exchangeable, rare, can be shared, and can be recognized based on mathematical formulas rather than based on physical form such as gold and silver or confidence in the center such as paper currency.
Crypto currency is better than currency, but that does not mean Crypto currency can replace the old currency. that bitcoin technology is a technology that can "make money move between countries easier and get costs down  dramatic considerable.
Experts agree that bitcoin will not be dominant, because bitcoins are unstable to become a reliable currency. But there are also countries that have started shifting cash and developing bitcoin.

I also expecting cryptocurrencies as means of payment online but not as to replaced the existing local money since it would require a device and energy to operate unlike flat currencies that can be used directly.

Yes, it could be and it is possible to happen. As of todays generation bitcoin cryptocurrencies is legalize and well known all over the world. In that case it could be universal and a meduim of exchange. We are very glad to meet bitcoin world because the cryptocurrency has a biggest value and it could also be converted into real money eventhough it is virtual money.

It could be, it just needs a process that is not easy.
At this time alone crypto has been banned in some countries, whatever the government wants. In fact, crypto can help countries in trouble.
This requires regulation from around the world if it wants crypto to be a legitimate means of exchange.

In a brief explanation, cryptocurrency is built as a systematic virtual digital currency which means that it could be only process thru the presence of a specific devices or machines. It wasn't be converted by physical or fiat money because it's not durable or untouchable. It may consider as a global tender when base on a virtual transaction, meaning  it's by a computer program

Why couldn't it be? People don't need a country's permission to use cryptocurrency. If people worldwide accept Bitcoin as a means of value transfer, then it could very well become the world currency. Perhaps even the UN might legalize it even if individual nations see it as a threat.

There is no problem for that to happen unless and until it gets the legal tender in every country first! Lolz! Thats the first challenging stuff I guess which we need to surpass and then we can think about the global legal tender.

Bitcoin, is still nerve wrecking for many countries and the government along with the banking institutes are unhappy that it even exist. It is taking away the investment that should be going into the banks, golds, stock exchanges etc and thus making the financial stability theoretically unstable!

The problem? The problem is with different countries and different regulations that they play within their own country. For global summit to happen it is really necessary that all the countries will come to the same page and then decide the ultimate fate for it.

If it will holds all of the market cap of the world then it will probably becomes the universal means of exchange but until there is fiat currency that controls the system of exchange, it is hard for the crypto to change it. Soon, it will come to the point that the means of exchange will change by cryptocurrency.

If yes, then it will be big helps many people for their transactions. But unfortunately bitcoin has scalability issue. I don't expect much about maximum number of bitcoin users, I think it only  30% of all people in this world are who can use bitcoin maybe the rest will use ETH or Other sophisticated altcoins, I still don't think that all people will use cryptocurrency, maybe only 35% is the maximum percentage. It doesn't mean that ETH will replace BTC, people will always prefer to use BTC than other cryptocurrency.

Yes I do think that cryptocurrencies can exist alongside with state-back currencies (fiat or crypto) and that one day we will be able to use cryptocurrencies together with our own countries' cryptocurrencies (crypto-USD, crypto-Pound, crypto-Yen etc) but this can only happen if there is a means for govt to monitor and control the flow of these currencies.

If there is proper KYC and accounting of cryptocurrencies such that govt can know where you gotten your BTC or ETH, then I think they will allow these currencies to exist alongside their own currencies.

Else the foreseeable future of crypto is an asset class much like gold or commodity.

Maybe in the future, because cryptocurrency needs to be legalized first for a country to be acknowledge it as a legal tender. A government cannot rely on a currency with unstable value so it really needs to have a standard and regulation first to be utilized.

Bitcoin will never become a global legal tender, but do not get discouraged you can already use bitcoin all over the world despite that in many countries bitcoin is not even a currency, that is the great thing about bitcoin we do not need permission from anyone to use it so even if bitcoin never gets recognized as legal tender we can use it as such, what we really need is not permission by governments but adoption.

Well one thing is we can never know if it can be used for worldwide exchange. You're right about the fact that it's already being used now in many ways but there may come a time, when all the regulations are laid out and most countries see the good in bitcoin, when it will overtake fiat as the main currency available. Again we'll never know

Many community members are against the regulation of cryptos but i believe that it is the most feasible solution because of it cryptos will widely began to use across the countries in shops, retailers or restaurants etc.

Why are you saying that. Bitcoin as already accepted as legal tender in Japan, and Venezuela is already doing the same right now. We also have some states that are trying to allow it's citizens to pay their taxes with bitcoin, although I think it will still be seen as property there, but I'm not sure about that one. It all depends on how regulation gets done, but it will perfectly normal for that to happen in the future. I don't see bitcoin replacing fiat, but being accepted as legal tender is possible, and it is already happening.

Well, as universal means of exchanging few countries have declaring there legality between digital currency and the national currency of a country. But as of a second currency only allows the digital money. Some countries also have studying what was the impact for the country if they digital currency has legally accepted that was the government undecidedly to accept as of now.

With or without the recognition of anyone, bitcoon users are free to transact even for international transaction. Bitcoib are now actually use  in buying goof and services, this allows bitcoin to necome an universal means of exchange even though not recognized as it is. Bitcoin have grown really fast, more and more are now accepting and adapting it. Cryptocurrency is in the trend right now, but what if people will convert it all to a virtual ? which means that cryptocurrency is still a sub-currency means of exchange compared to the traditional money. If i am a merchant, i will also think twice in accepting bitcoin as a payment, not because i dont trust bitcoin but it is difficult to determine the value. If my business is active and my capital goes in and out fast then crypto will not be able to cope up with speed. I mean my money has to roll out everyday, if all that i have is bitcoin and the price is down so i need to wait for a better days to have a more better profit also so what will happen to my business.

A cryptocurrency is a digital or virtual currency that uses cryptography for security. A cryptocurrency is difficult to counterfeit because of this security feature. A defining feature of a cryptocurrency, and arguably its most endearing allure, is its organic nature; it is not issued by any central authority, rendering it theoretically immune to government interference or manipulation. Cryptocurrencies make it easier to transfer funds between two parties in a transaction; these transfers are facilitated through the use of public and private keys for security purposes. These fund transfers are done with minimal processing fees, allowing users to avoid the steep fees charged by most banks and financial institutions for wire transfers.

Not really impossible to happen but not in the whole world. Some of the country's government didn't want to allow crypto currency since it can cause some illegal problems. Illegal transactions can brought to a country through bitcoin. Several governments just want the best for their country by not tolerating illegal transactions by anonymous senders or receivers.

Strongly agree with your opinion on this. The biggest challenge of bitcoin and altcoin become to be a global currencies is government or country. The decentralization system is very much the opposite of government regulation, because to regulate bitcoin the government needs to interfere, for example in transactions, essentially transactions in cryptocurrency mostly use peer to peer system so it only needs sender and receiver and does not need any third party.

That is the difficulty for governments to legitimize or regulate bitcoin as a means of transactions. And yeah, every country has its own rules and will be at least different from other countries it will be another big challenge. I think it is quite happy for me if all the countries legalize bitcoin as a place of investment and place of trading, if to become global currency and replace physical money I am not sure about it.

Cryptocurrency to become a global legal tender requires allot of governmental co-operation and approval. Different levels if community guidelines and security measures have to be followed for something like this to happen.

Proper access to internet and knowledge about how to use it shall be readily available before any such step.
Knowledge about the cryptocurrency should also be widepsread.

This might take a very long time to happen but certainly digital money is the future. Paper money will vanish one day or the other depending upon the speed of development and rate of empowerment of different countries and their governments.

For me, Cryptocurrency as of the moment is playing a big and important role now in digital industry even markets. due to the fact that many people now are earning cryptocurrencies or they are paid in cryptocurrency as salary to their jobs of if it is an online job. Even now with markets, online markets accepting cryptocurrencies as payment, so we will not be surprise if one day crypto world will expand though there will still be people who does have and don't know how it is or use it. I think it would be better if they will make one curriculum in school today to introduce digital money and how it will be operated.

It's hard to say for now. The current situation points that it wont be used as a legal tender or atleast in the near future. Crypto currency right now is closer to gold or stock than it is with money. And you dont see people flinging there stocks or gold to buy their items.
Additionally, it's way too valuable right now to trade like money. its price fluctuation is overwhelming. If you buy a pizza today with BTC, it could be worth a car tomorrow.

I think it can be a global currency, however, treating it as a global tender would still take a lot of time, and at the moment, is too far-fetched. Cryptocurrencies have not even penetrated the deeply in the trade, investment and currency exchange market for it to have such capacity to be considered as a global money. I think, it is more possible to reach a point when it can interplay with many of the currencies and be accepted as a legitimate currency rather than that to happen.

The digital currency cannot be an effective means of circulation.

It's the lack of elasticity of supply.

That creates currency instability.
It can be used by many worldwide but cannot be effective to replace as a global legal tender to replace physical money. Because other countries cryptocurrency banned by the government. Yes it could lead to lack of supply and also still physical money be used by means of payment in the future.

Cryptocurrency don’t need replace physical money cause its better on its own way, its given that fiat money will never die but this kind of technology will help us to enjoy more in the future. The supply with cryptos is not a problem, because we all know even stock market doesn’t run out of supply its a matter of demand and it will create supply.

Ok some convincing points here. I like the way you separated the crypto currency from the fiat currency. They have no similarities at all and they run in their own different principles. So you see, there is no reason for crypto to go in the banks, in national circulation or to replace the fiat currency in first place. All is vein in front of ever green crypto field.

The supply is unlimited. The coins can gain as much value as they want and apart from that they can be divided into sub tokens too. So everything is manageable in here.

In addition, there are already a lot of exchanges emerging in various countries and it is a positive value for developing Bitcoin and cryptocurrency. We are going into that era and I think we will have a good future and create a digitized currency, one of which is to apply Bitcoin as a universal currency so that it can be used by all people.

My opinion is cryptocurrencies will become one of the main means of exchange in 2 decades, but it takes very long to absolutely replace fiat currencies. Because there are still lots of problems remained like the unsufficient circulation and volatile value. Another reasons is striking the balance between using of government currencies and cryptocurrencies will be difficult as the digital currencies are taking place of fiat currencies but most of existing financial system is based on the latter.

It would be possible if it is in digital world or digital transaction. Global currency in virtual world for bitcoin will happen. However, if it is in physical money, it would be impossible. It is also a matter of accepting bitcoin by the government so that they can develop applications or programs that could be an exchange golablly.

It seems to me that this will not happen until the issue is resolved with the speed of confirmation of the transaction. In order for bitcoin to be applied as well as Fiat, the payment confirmation should be instantaneous. I believe this will be done, but the whales are not interested. They use only bitcoin to trade on the stock exchanges. Therefore, I think that one of the altcoins will be used to trade in stores.

And in fact that is the specific reason also why there are some country that didn't want to regulate in crypto. So perhaps crypto currencies will stay as a transparent money in the future.

But if the government will consider and embrace the blockchain technology and the other benefits that crypto can brought us, then i think it can be used worldwide, but will take a lot a time.

Again we'll never know
The possibility is there you are right but the reason I do not think it is going to happen is because governments will do everything to avoid that and because people are really dumb, if people were not that uninterested we will not have the current system we have with fiat that can be printed in an infinite amount, so when you put those factors together it seems really unlikely bitcoin will become the dominant currency.

We do not need that big of adoption, look at the US dollar, the percentage that represents the US population is very small and yet the US dollar is accepted everywhere since the US is a very powerful country, as long as enough people adopt bitcoin and their economic power is big then we will begin to see bitcoin being accepted around the world.

More important are the properties of fiat that cryptocurrencies don't share: stable store of value and widely accepted for commerce. Without, at a minimum, both of these things, crypto is useless as a currency. Without a stable store of value, you can't save or plan for the long term or have a reasonable idea past the immediate present as to how much value you're holding in the currency, which creates economic chaos. Without being widely accepted, it's as useful as trying to pay with your Diner's Club card. People know it's a thing and that it represents money, but nobody will take it as a payment method.

Yes if bitcoin needed to be recognized by the government in order to work then governments will never give that approval and everything will be fine for them, but it is precisely because bitcoin does not need that the reason because bitcoin is dangerous for them a country could make bitcoin holding illegal and many will not care since they will need to be caught by their government dealing with bitcoin and most small governments do not have the tools to do that.

Can't say at this stage. Bitcoin growing popularity and users positive response has to lead us to this discussion of making BTC as a global currency. But we need to understand the complexity of this process like:
1. Govt. stand on BTC legality: Not all countries have declared BTC as a legal mode of payment. Some may consider BTC as an asset, commodity, good etc.
2. High transaction fees of Bitcoin
3. Long confirmation hours and many more

At this time alone crypto has been banned in some countries, whatever the government wants. In fact, crypto can help countries in trouble.
This requires regulation from around the world if it wants crypto to be a legitimate means of exchange.

I agree with you, I think it could and just need a thorough process which will be a BIG task for the Government in order to be properly put it in place. I do believe that time will come, digital currency will play a major role in our economy.

It can only be a territorial or nationwide  means of of exchange but when we talk about universal that is pretty far from reality. It could also be a universal form of digital currency but not like the physical money because it is decentralized and governments hate it when they don't have the full control of the economy or country's assets. Some countries don't like crypto that is why it cannot be a universal legal tender and another reason is it's volatility and fees.

Currency will keep relation with all nation but this currency cannot beat there so that it can not be a part. People use these coins only for getting profit and only some people use it for transferring money but it is very rare.
You can get profit from this system if you can follow all rules but don’t think that it can be a legal currency system because it is almost impossible.

It is possible, as we can see some other countries welcomed cryptocurrencies. To become it universal, just like what I said only some other countries didn't banned crypto like bitcoin and that is the problem. Everyone should unite first in terms of this aspect.
These are getting very popular as this is a time of digitisation and cryptocurrencies are in demand. These are very easy to operate and just require an internet connection. You can carry as much as money in the form of cryptocurrencies. You just need to have a wallet in which you can store these virtual currencies. Cryptocurrencies are an easy way to earn money and that too in a short period of time.Investment in these cryptocurrencies is also very profitable and gives a huge amount of profit margin.

Well, in means of global exchange i think cryptocurrency are not qualified to tender in physical money as valid currency towards the economic stability at this moment because government and a country has insufficient resources to cover up the lacking budget to developed in this new sets of currency.

There is no way possible that cryptocurrency can become a global legal tender like the physical money.
First and foremost, cryptocurrencies are decentralized and are not owned by any of the world's government.
Secondly, physical money is only tenable within its country of origin whereas cryptocurrencies are not like that.  They are not restricted to the borders of a country.
Thirdly, cryptocurrencies are digital currency and can only be used when there is access to the internet. The government of a nation has to provide internet services for all its citizens if there would be a the use of digital currency in such country.

It is extremely unlikely conceivable that digital currency can turn into a worldwide legitimate delicate like the physical cash. As a matter of first importance, cryptographic forms of money are decentralized and are not possessed by any of the world's administration.
Besides, physical cash is just valid inside its nation of birthplace though cryptographic forms of money dislike that. They are not limited to the fringes of a nation.
Thirdly, cryptographic forms of money are advanced cash and must be utilized when there is access to the web. The legislature of a country needs to give web administrations to every one of its nationals if there would be a the utilization of computerized money in such check

Cryptocurrency is digital form of currency that is being used increasingly all over the world. If compared with the current traditional fiat currencies system a cryptocurrency is far more efficient in terms of usage and transaction costs. The first cryptocurrency to begin trading was Bitcoin back in 2009. Sinces then we have seen numerous cryptocurrencies being created with new algorithms with longer or shorter block times and overall behavior changes to better suit a future economy.

Since it was generally being generated and operated in an online basis, the spreading and implementation of cryptocurrency usage will become much easier and faster so the exchanges that will go through it will just take a moment and its done.

Bitcoin and other crypto coins are very much safer than any other regular currency but only when you have kept your private key safe. In case someone else gets to know your private key, then all of your coins will be compromised and that you will be left with nothing. However, investing in crypto currency is the best thing to do as it can multiply the money which you have invested.

Nowadays cryptocurrencies are being used only for investment and fund raising purposes but i am sure that they are going to be an alternative to cash money soon. There will be a total of three options for shopping payments. cash, creditcards, cryptomoney...
That's true, This technology of paying using digital money it developed too much in the last few years, There is a lot of people use cryptocurrencies today for different purpose, one of them, is an investment. I think there is a high percent of people who use cryptocurrencies for investment, because they feel that bitcoin price will increase too much in the future, so they take the opportunity to buy more when bitcoin price drop.

While it is true that the most spread use of cryptocurrencies is as an investment, cryptocurrencies are first and foremost a currency and if the cryptocurrencies are not used like that then those cryptocurrencies are nothing but speculation vehicles which is why most altcoins are never going to succeed since the only use they have is to try to make money for the developers and for the investors.

Nope. It does not have that kind of characteristic which it should have if it has to be global legal tender. Plus being decentralised it breaks all the rules of government and regulatory bodies by not working within single perimeter. It works over public ledger so its difficult to regulate it. If you try to regulate it then it can no longer be the same as you see it today. In addition to this if you see the prices then they are always fluctuating one and there is no way to stabilise them and thus its almost impossible to use it for daily life and may not be accepted as it is for global use.

Crypto-Currency is unstoppable, at some point it will be used like physical money is used nowadays. The decentralization isn't a must, there could be centralized Crypto-Currencies created by governments to be used on their countries. So they could regulate and control it easier. Now some countries started studying this new technology and sooner or later they will develop something related to Crypto world to benefit themselves, keeping the financial system centralized.

Bitcoin may not become a global legal tender because it is a decentralized currency and might remain as a alternative currency instead. Some countries are reported to be planning to create or issue their own cryptocurrency or own token and use it instead of adopting bitcoin. But if majority of the countries around the world unite to make bitcoin the universal means of exchange, then it might be possible to happen.

Even though cryptocurrency market is at a rise nowadays, I don't think it will ever be accepted as a global legal tender. It will never replace or come at par with fiat money. Crypto is a decentralized currency, meaning that the government does not have any control over it. Crypto, however, could be a form of an alternative payment. One may argue as well that credit cards could be the start of a "cashless" society and that crypto would come after it. However, if you think about it, credit cards are still based on the value of fiat, unlike crypto, which depends its value on something else.

There are no doubts that in near future it will positively happen , and it's actually happening as you can see by the sudden increase of it's price last 2017 many entrepreneur and investors caught the attention that bitcoin can be a good source of income and a potential to dominate in the near future. Someday it might happen. There are already a lot of coins that appear and are very useful. maybe someday, fiat money will be in exchange with Cryptocurrency and all payments will use Cryptocurrency.

I think the same as you because, in the future, our life will be full of digital and cryptocurrency is a digital technology which has the potential to be applied. and when cryptocurrency is applied then we can see a new era of digital will comes and I think it will work together with fiat and maybe it will be used in all countries. we are still new in the digital technology and I am sure that cryptocurrency will grow and will evolve into something better that can be used in everywhere in the future.

And certainly because it has the potential to have a good role in finance and various things to be able to take advantage of its advantages.. it still has a high chance to survive forever and better role for all people/countries. Well though it will not be shifting the fiat, it will be an alternative currency that plays an important role for the life of all human beings to a more modern and useful side.

there are  numerous  things  which hinders the full adoption of crypto. most  governments  are  comfortable with  crypto  since  they  cannot control  it.  this  will be  hard  for  most governmental  entities  to  enforce  various  laws.  apart  from  that  its  quite  volatile and  thus  not suitable for  use  in  the  long  term. my  hope  is  in  the  near  future  we  will  have  stable  coins which  can be  used  to  transact easily.

it would take time i guess, it needs a solid system that can protect from misconduct behaviour, but if we see currency in exchange system is actually based on trust between two parties, cryptocurrencies could be the future "money", because trust in fiat money is decided by one party, the bank, but in crypto a lot of "people" decide wether your account is legit or not, and i think that would be the main concept in the future.

For me crypto currencies has no potential to replace fiat due to some reason which is it has no stable value and it can be use to scam people in different ways. And in fact that is the specific reason also why there are some country that didn't want to regulate in crypto. So perhaps crypto currencies will stay as a transparent money in the future.

I agree with you because if to look how many people using cryptocurrency we can see big deep. Most of them are using it living in big cities and people who are living in a villages doesn't know how it works and what does it mean.

There is huge possibility that Bitcoin will be the future crypto currency with a legal trend and if legalized by all the countries across the world, it will have tremendous affect on the demand of US dollar. The demand for USD might decrease and it might even outshine it but that will be long from now.

Right now, what the government needs to do is to advertise the crypto so that people come to know about it as another mean of earning and enable people to know how to earn in crypto like Bitcoin.

To make a payment using bitcoin there is no significant risk if between seller and buyer have agreed on the payment system using bitcoin.

All you have to determine is when a transaction using your bitcoin should know the credibility of that person.

Because it would be the same if all countries accept bitcoin but the user does a transaction with a fraudster, the government will not be responsible in this regard.

It could be done and happened, but because of the many obstacles that are currently being faced only a few stores that receive bitcoin as a means of payment, let alone the government also still not attract bitcoin as a means of legal payment, so the regulation for acceptance bitcoin still does not exist.

Cryptocurrency cannot be a universal means of exchange. Firstly, there are different coins and tokens in cryptocurrency. These coins have different values and different uses. Second, the value of cryptocurrencies is very volatile. Using cryptocurrencies as a universal means of exchange would be hard because of its diversity and volatility. However, if there is ONE crypto that could be used as a universal exchange, it would be possible.

Its hard for cryptocurrency become global currency. Currency must be issued and approved by government and central banks, most cryptocurrency not regulated by government. As currency, crypto is more safe than our current money

I bet all of us certainly have similar expectation that virtual can go far in the future. Yep, I kind of agree that cryptocurrencies are capable of becoming a global currency. With the development of society, the speed of advanced technology is quite fast and truly it plays a crucial role in both daily activity, transaction and that sorts of thing. People in various parts of the world are awaring of  the benefit and the prospective of cryptocurrency field gradually. Virtual currency would be more likely to become a legal and common currency all around the world, of course it can’t replace the position of fiat, it's just an extra currency. With current situation, it depends much on governments to identify when we can use virtual as a legal currency widespreadly, i think it would be soon.

I know it is too soon to say anything but after using bitcoin and observing its trend over the years, I could confidently say that bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies will experience a bright future. Bitcoin has come from nearly nothing to a very high-valued currency at the moment. Although it is nearly impossible to give any correct prediction about the price of bitcoin, bitcoin with its cutting-edge technology are bound to change the world's economy for the better.

Cryptocurrency Is an option like bitcoin as an alternative way of payment because each country has already legitimate currency that they used to transact. Its up to each country either they used digital money or not, If a country has an advance technology like japan, I'll assure they will accept crypto and used It as an alternative money for online transaction.

I believe in crypto currency and its future. I just don't think that any government will allow it to replace their own fiat currency. I think what will happen is that cryptos will be the alternative way of payment and other financial transactions. Virtual money an alternative to the fiat, but the fiat currency will still stay as the main and legal currency of each nation.

I think the same as you but we need to wait until all the country can accept cryptocurrency so cryptocurrency can be universal and every people can use cryptocurrency in their life and can collaborate with fiat. but before we can see this, we'd better collect many coins as our investment so in the future, when the time comes, we can use cryptocurrency in our daily life. Well technically it is a global tender now. But the fact of the matter is will everyone use it? My take? I don't think so. Not everyone has heard of crypto currency even bitcoin. Others may have heard of it but doesn't understand it. Only a handful of people per country understands crypto currency to a point that they could use it. So i think educating everyone on what crypto currency is and the benefits of it is the firt step.

We shouldn’t see Bitcoin as the same as real currencies we are using just like dollars, euros and pounds. When I look at Bitcoin I see it as the same as PayPal and all those related sort of things. And of course Bitcoin can be used as a means of making payment online, but since not all countries are accepting it, it can only be used at places where its accepted.

But if it’s not accepted in your country I believe that you can still find ways to use it in making transaction and also withdrawing to your bank. Since government can only prevent you from withdrawing from an exchange, you can do straight business with someone.

There is no issue for that to happen except if and until the point that it gets the legitimate delicate in each nation first.  That is the principal testing stuff I figure which we have to outperform and after that we can consider the worldwide legitimate delicate.

Bitcoin, is still nerve destroying for some nations and the legislature alongside the saving money establishments are despondent that it even exist. It is taking without end the venture that ought to go into the banks, golds, stock trades and so on and consequently making the budgetary dependability hypothetically flimsy!

The issue? The issue is with various nations and distinctive directions that they play inside their own nation. For worldwide summit to happen it is extremely vital that every one of the nations will go to a similar page and afterward choose a definitive destiny for it.

For me cryptocurrency is very reliable because there is no other electronic cash system in which your account isn’t owned by someone else. Take PayPal, for example: if the company decides for some reason that your account has been misused, it has the power to freeze all of the assets held in the account, without consulting you. It is then up to you to jump through whatever hoops are necessary to get it cleared, so that you can access your funds. With cryptocurrency, you own the private key and the corresponding public key that makes up your cryptpcurrency address. No one can take that away from you unless  you lose it yourself.

A cryptocurrency (or crypto currency) is digital asset designed to work as a medium of exchange that uses strong cryptography to secure financial transactions, control the creation of additional units, and verify the transfer of assets. A cryptocurrency is a digital or virtual currency that uses cryptography for security. A cryptocurrency is difficult to counterfeit because of this security feature.

Let's speculate. States can allow the circulation of decentralized crypto currency in their territory in parallel with their national money. The state will not support this crypto currency, because it is not interested in it because of its uncontrollability and high volatility. For the same reason, states are unlikely to use it widely in calculations between themselves. Decentralized crypto currency will be predominantly used by citizens. And now how to install. will they use the crypto currency as a global means of payment?

Unlike currencies that we use every day, cryptocurrency has no physical form because it is in a virtual world and is digital.

We've seen many sides of Crypto-currency, the ups and downs also the reds and greens. It's not new that a lot of potentials are embedded in crypto. Can cryptocurrency become universal means of exchange. I mean can it be a global legal tender like the physical money

Taking a deeper concentration on this discussion, what is happening to Cryptocurrency on the world's market stage?

Cryptocurrency” is being fuelled by the likes of two renown Chicago exchanges offering cryptocurrency futures and also Cantor Fitzgerald jumping on the bandwagon. Money can be converted into bitcoin at ATMs on street corners in New York and London. Microsoft has accepted Bitcoin for game purchases through Xbox. Surf Air, a frequent-flier airline servicing passengers in Europe, California and Texas, now accepts payments via bitcoins and ethereum. Overstock accepts more than 40 types of cryptocurrencies.

All these are big news to propell the industry into the next big thing.

In my opinion, cryptocurrencies do not deserve to be used as payment instruments, such as fiat money, although some companies and stores accept cryptocurrencies as payment instruments. The reason I say that cryptocurrencies don't deserve to be used as payment instruments is that their prices are very unstable. Maybe in the future cryptocurrencies and bitcoin will be the means of payment that everyone uses globally if their prices remain stable

I think we shouldn’t see Bitcoin as the same as real currencies we are using just like dollars, euros and pounds. When I look at Bitcoin I see it as the same as PayPal and all those related sort of things. And of course Bitcoin can be used as a means of making payment online, but since not all countries are accepting it, it can only be used at places where its accepted. But if it’s not accepted in your country, I believe that you can still find ways to use it in making transaction and also withdrawing to your bank. Since government can only prevent you from withdrawing from an exchange, you can do straight business with someone. Any thought?

We are all currently in the development stage of the era of digitalization. We all have implemented a digitization system in various important sectors. Well, what we are most waiting for is the attitude of the government in responding to crypto. If the government continues to argue that they will reject Crypto then this will be in vain. The definition can be drawn that cryptocurrency is a digital currency mechanism that can be used to transact virtually (via an internet network) that is protected by a complicated computer coding. ;D

That is the biggest limitation of cryptocurrencies, some are proposing the creation of physical cryptocurrencies in order to overcome that limitation but I am not really sure that is going to work, it is better to accept the limitations of cryptocurrencies and deal with them, this means that the poorest people will be unable to get access to cryptocurrencies but this is something we have known for some time and unless the living standards improve a lot in the next decade this is something we will have to accept.

Can cryptocurrency become universal means of exchange. I mean can it be a global legal tender like the physical money

I think it's quite difficult and takes a long time. because we are now familiar with global money, namely the dollar and all countries in the world can accept it. While cryptocurrency has many rejections, only a few countries can accept bitcoin as a payment instrument. and all countries in the world already have national currencies so I think this is difficult. but there is still a possibility because we live in a digital era where all the necessities of life can be purchased online so that paying with digital money is not impossible. we just wait.

Cryptocurrency now is very popular , indeed some of the establishment are now adopting cryptos, some of the countries are now accepting and even making it legit to use in their country, but some are not accepting it, cryptocurrency is digital kind of currency which was develop for anonimity of the owner of that cryptos .

I think maybe the crypto currency will remain as transparent money in the future. Because I think the crypto currency does not have the potential to replace fiat for a number of reasons which have no stable value and can be used to deceive people in different ways. And actually that is a special reason why there are some countries that don't want to regulate in crypto.

I think all countries reject it. each country has a legitimate currency and has been used to transact and it is very difficult for Cryptocurrency to become a medium of exchange because it is not as convenient and practical as cash. For example, when you go to the food street or travel to developing countries, then cryptocurrency may not be reasonable to use.

Title: Re: Cryptocurrency

I think that depends on people using cryptocurrency, if many accept cryptocurrency as a medium of exchange, cryptocurrency will become global currency, and if many use them for investment, cryptocurrency will be valuable assets.

I don’t think cryptocurrency will replace once countries  government currency but they probably will eventually be used as an alternative form of payment . In the recent time, the acceptability of  Crypto increase. A lot of international marketplace approve various types of cryptocurrency like BTC, ETH. Instead of these, some country banned it. I also think cryptocurrencies will have other functions like store of value or specific functions like internet of things or data storage or various other uses that these altcoins are being created for.

Electronic money in the United States is protected by the Constitution as a kind of asset, but in another country it has not been accepted as a currency and is facing a major challenge from governments and businesses. China has vowed to ban its investment in ICO and India, which banned the use of Bitcoin as a payment method. Why would any country accept a totally global digital currency as legal tender in their country?
A currency with open source coding and not controlled by anyone,
A currency which can be forked by anyone at any time.

I also expecting cryptocurrencies as means of payment online but not as to replaced the existing local money since it would require a device and energy to operate unlike flat currencies that can be used directly.

Ilegendph
yeah right, i also think like that, because it can't possibly replace paper money because the picture of the banknote from each country is a hero of the country, so it's impossible for bitcoin to replace that, i just think bitcoin is used as an alternative just as you say aardvark15

Others may have heard of it but doesn't understand it. Only a handful of people per country understands crypto currency to a point that they could use it. So i think educating everyone on what crypto currency is and the benefits of it is the firt step.
