HI GUYS, right now we've seen that bitcoin is very unstable , many people said that it will be dead sooner ? how come ? i cant stop laughing when i heard humors like this. FIRST OF ALL bitcoin is the first digital virtual crytocurrency that introduce in market . SECOND ALL COINS DEPEND ON THE PRICE OF BTC . THIRD MANY PEOPLE CHANGE THEIR LIVES BECAUSE OF THIS. i think bitcoin not died..it's strongly technology.so i believe bitcoin and love it.

You are not alone in your opinion, this has been the issue for the last 8 years of Bitcoin existence everytime bitcoin is in red newbies panic and shout ABaitcoin is dead they have been doing this since Bitcoin was worth $5,$100,200 and do on they just won't stop posting Bitcoin is dead.

Bitcoin will not die it might have weaken from this few months but it still have the ability to rise up.
The people who believe in bitcoin will continue to invest and that will keep the bitcoin from dying. Also since there are other coins that is always paired with bitcoin, their value seems to be attached to bitcoin. When bitcoin price goes up altcoins will also go up and when bitcoin is down altcoins also goes down.

Altcoins also support bitcoins, until they removed their pairing with bitcoin they can't really win against bitcoin.
It is like you can't win if your under with someone. First is to separated from the famous coins and build from the bottom.

I also believe that this bitcoin is not going to dead. It is now slowly becoming a part of our life, and many people support on it today , it is already been trusted among all investors on the crypto feild, that is why I believe that it will never ever end, because bitcoin is depending upon us. If the people around doesn't invest or maybe trust bitcoin it will be dead. But I think this is not going to happen because we really need bitcoin for good.

However the price of bitcoin has recovered . although not yet able to recover back to the top of it but I put great faith in the potential of the market, fluctuations in this period is only part of the development cycle of Bitcoin

You're a little bit wrong, in so many ways. Bitcoin is not the first digital currency lol. Bitcoin is the FIRST CRYPTOCURRENCY.

There are many digital currencies out there, like PayPal. While they aren't true currencies, they are digital funds. So there are many digital currencies that came before bitcoin...

That said, bitcoin is not dead... but it's still possible that some alts could kill it by becoming superior. Thus far, I don't see any alt really coming close... but all it takes is a serious company like Apple or Microsoft setting their sights on wanting to develop a superior bitcoin... and that's that. What's preventing them is that these large conglomerates won't offer the currency for free, because they want to make money. As such, they have no motive to develop a better free bitcoin.

Yes I’m surprised looking down the list of topics on the front page here that there are several about bitcoin having had its day and going to zero or dying. I honestly don’t think that’s possible, apart from some black swan event that wipes out the technology in the world needed for bitcoin - and one of the main reasons I say that in the millions and millions of people I’ve found in forums like this and on Reddit and Twitter and Facebook and blog sites like Steem and Medium and on video sites - who believe in crypto and are devoted to it and are passionate about bitcoin and altcoins, and who support the hundred + crypto exchanges and the hundreds of ICOs each month. These people are often young, and while they are not always Bitcoin supporters I think they recognise that the market depends on bitcoin and that it is a long-term store of value along with the alt clins they hodl and trade hoping for big gains too. And even if the crypto market goes down 90% which a lot of analysts think will happen sooner or later, I think there will still be that core of millions of crypto enthusiasts who will keep the price of bitcoin and a few altcoins above zero believing there will be better times to come again after another long period of low values for bitcoin and crypto until it comes back into favour again as has happened after the big crashes before. I don't think that bitcoin will be dead because I see in the market, there is much order buy and sell and the volume is always up and down and it means, people still make the order and they still want to make money. although the volume is down, for now, I am sure that this will not forever and there will be a time for the price to back increase again. but yes, the government give any statement about bitcoin and they still give a warning to their people to watch out for bitcoin especially in cryptocurrency. Any transaction made with Bitcoin can not be canceled. Only if the recipient himself returns the funds to you, you will receive them back.

Exactly, a little price drop and people start saying that 'bitcoin is gonna die', etc. First of all they should remember that bitcoin's price is fluctuating and it has always been that way. There have been numerous drops right from the beginning but none lf them stopped btc from reaching new heights. Why are these people keeps on saying bitcoin will be dead? I mean, what is their basis? What are their evidence or how can you show to a person that it will die? Bitcoin will not be dead, not only because it started the first and most important step of the currently very vast world of cryptocurrency but also because Bitcoin is the most trusted coin. Not only is it the most trusted, it is also the most used coin among the so many cryptocurrencies right now. I agree with you mate, It's not that much to easy to kill the Bitcoin just was we used to think. The price does not matter to determine that Bitcoin will soon to die because the main fact that as long as many people are benefiting from it, it will remain circulating all throughout the wide world because it is also in lined with the modern technology we have so for me, it is really impossible that Bitcoin will die because people are already living and relying into the technology so the continuous usage of it also means continuous popularization of Bitcoin in the other side of it. Also, no one knows when and how will it end so we cannot just drop by into conclusions that because the price is continuosly dropping, it means that Bitcoin will soon to die.

I think bitcoin will never die. Currently there are many people investing in bitcoin. They see bitcoin as their main source of income. Many countries have adopted bitcoin and encouraged people to use them.

Here we are a month and a half after the OP has posted this topic and bitcoin is rising again and approaching one more time the 10k bar .
The crypto industry has certainly seen a lot of lows , but as soon as the market stabilises and demand's rate is back the market will go into a bull run and whoever was smart enough to invest when people were panic selling will collect his profits .
Neither bitcoin nor other alts will ever be dead if people still support them and that it get adopted in new projects and as new payment methods ,and whoever says that bitcoin will be dead is just making a fool out of himself .

I think it's a wrong assumption. Many of us predicted that bitcoin is no more, it's value will be less than 1$, it will be banned through out the world and many more.
But ultimately what happened? From value 6k$ it raised to 9k$. I know that from the starting of year 2017 the price is half now. But if you go through the price range of bitcoin then you will see that the price go up and suddenly it falls to a great extend. To me around 10k$ is a good value of bitcoin.

I agree with the others that Bitcoin is not going away anytime soon but it does have a few risks such as constant hardforks/counterfeits/scam coins that keep coming up.  It is a constant risk until exchanges stop dealing in counterfeits.  Another issue is the mining difficulty and power usage is unsustainable in my opinion.  For Bitcoin to survive long into the future it will need to have adaptive difficulty or do away with the mining altogether.  It's blockchain is also subject to abuse unless things change significantly people can and do put messages and other information into the blockchain whereas I feel the code should be changed to not allow anything but pure transactions alone (eg. it shouldn't be possible to encode secret messages or child porn in Bitcoin any longer).

With that said in the coming years as almost all the Bitcoin's are mined and difficulty keeps rocketing I think the value will reach amazing heights that no one can really predict.  It also cannot be denied that some part of the Bitcoin story resembles the dot-com bubbles so it depends on if Bitcoin can change and adapt.  However, if Bitcoin remains as a sort of digital gold reserve, slow transactions will be OK in the future and will not be a threat to Bitcoin.  Still, the prospect of moving large amounts of money as slow as the SWIFT network or in some cases slower should be resolved in my opinion.

Bitcoin is not dying but just deflating because its price is simply unpredictable. The price moves with the demand along the economy and its pretty normal that industries like bitcoin to only be on the hype at the and of the year. But right now and for the past months, the drops of the bitcoin has seen. This is actually the best moment to buy bitcoin and start along term investment.

As I seen it, bitcoin is powerful and not easy to be replaced in the market. The price has been dropping in the last months not because bitcoin is dying.
