I've read much info about the project and have the good feeling about it. But I didn't found the answer to the question: will tokens be exchanged only inside the RAWG platform or will this coin be listed on some exchanges in future?

It's pretty clear. IMDB is the similar catalog and recommendations system for cinema devoted people. You can read all information about the film and people who created it, tag films and create your own folders. In Russia there is a very popular analogue for it called Kinopoisk ("cinema search"). Honestly, I always wanted to find something similar for game industry.

Well generally it was not necessary until recent times 'cause there were not so many good games. Many can doubt this with so many new releases every year but still. Players are often playing games inside some chosen genre (Shooter, RPG, Simulator, online MMO etc.) and there are rarely more than 10 diamonds in each category. May be things will change in years to come.

Same here! The great thing about the IMDB is that for most cinema enthusiastics it is some kind of bible or central register of movies. If RAWG could became sth. like that for games, this would be awesome. That's because I think the import options (Steam, PSN etc.) are really essential, so these platforms are some kind of integrated in the RAWG world und it could become the meta catalog of all of them. What options do players with no stream|origin or any other platform have? Like if i purchase a Game CD/DVD from a local vendor (like the one i have Call of Duty - MW) which comes along with a CD code and can be installed manually. At the start, RAWG will detect and sync achievements from known platforms.
Also most achievements are globally tracked.

Well, if the platforms are based on a certain API and the data is public, then RAWG would only need to sync the data. As for platforms that are not (e.g. GOG), RAWG will negotiate with those platforms and develop necessary processes to sync the data.

We are adding games with different languages that have not gone global and also we are trying to add a feature that any community member will be able to submit changes to the game entry. And if there is a demand, then even translating the game entry to the local language.

Oh, sure, RAWG allows a gamer to spend his/her tokens on the platform to get partner goodies: physical (e.g. headsets, mouses) or digital (e.g. in-game skins, customization).

This is really nice statement. Playing is real fun. Maintaining a border between fun playing and addicted playing is very difficult. Mostly people cross that border easily if they don't have self control. May be RAWG should do something in this part.

I've read in RAWG telegram chat that the circulating supply upon listing on exchanges will be 333,333,333.

Later on, after lock up periods are over, there may be more tokens due to the bonuses investors will get and also the tokens that gamers will earn by playing with RAWG. In total RAWG will issue 866,666,667 tokens (after all bonuses, lock up periods, etc. are over) and there will be no additional tokens.

Starting with low supply for RAWG is always good. So the price will go up on listing. Do we already know when the lock-in period will get over? The supply will become more than 3x which will be dangerous. I guess these extra tokens are not unlocked all the same time.

Hey guys! What do you think about using more arguments against piracy in gaming industry in your project promotion? I'm surprised you don't talk about this at all. At the same time your token economy system really encourages people to buy games and use licensed game platforms, commit all their achievements and get rewards for it instead of just downloading games in pirate bays.

But we're not using more arguments against piracy as it doesn't hold that much of a sway in attracting users and investors than a complete video game database and a token system for achievements.

Finally caught up with our COO Dasha Lyalina who shared her experience in Hongkong and Kiev:

Both places turned out to be great, but let’s go in order, shall we? Hongkong was a great opportunity to dive in the cryptocommunity that is present in China, and it was very educational, to say the least. We met with people who provided very valuable feedback on how to properly and efficiently work with the Chinese community. As our founder, Gadji Makhtiev, already mentioned, we were glad to converse with several prominent figures and pitch RAWG to them. All in all, Hongkong was a very niche and high-quality event.

Kiev was the first event where we were invited as experts on the subject, no one rushed us to finish the presentation which was so uplifting. There was no need to rush and stumble, we delivered it calmly and at our own pace. Our goal was to educate the community on how to “unchain gamers” by adding the cryptobased solution with RAWG as an example. The audience were the developers who are tipping their toes in blockchain world so our words didn’t fall on deaf ears.
After the presentation we were able to talk to Malcolm Casselle, CEO of WAX, who shared his experience with us. WAX is also a cryptogaming company, a virtual good marketplace for online videogames that run a successful crowdsale a year ago. He told us what were the biggest hurdles when they were preparing, running and maintaining the crowdsale in regards to legal, exchange listings, community management. We’ll make sure to work on that feedback.
Also, had a meeting with VR soft and hardware developers from Japan who were ready to discuss our project and provide their own insight on the market and the community. Japan is yet another lucrative market for us to enter so this talk was very productive.
In conclusion, I have to say, that it’s great to see such a global community which is working together to bring closer two innovative industries to create something greater. Where RAWG is bringing its own unique spin to the table!

As I got your project is suggesting us playing the games been developed by you, not a normal PC games?

The normal ones. In the RAWG platform you have the option to import your game libraries, infos and achievements of platforms like steam, psn or xbox into your RAWG profile. And for your success in your played games you will be given tokens depending on the rarity (or other factors) of the achievement for example.

Oh, that change a situation. What about MMORPG?

If they have achievements that you can synchronise with RAWG account, then sure, you'd be able to get tokens for them.

First step is achievements/trophies from Steam, Xbox, PSN, mobile then we will be thinking how to expand the systems further.

I still can't understand the ways your project would pay itself back? What is the reason for you giving us tokens for playing? Just I'm a gamer and plays a lot but I can't see the point for you go sponsoring it  :)

Our main revenue will come from advertising, we will be providing the advertisers a way to connect with their preffered customers.
As for the reason we're giving you tokens for your achievements, you are our community that RAWG cannot exist without. We are a service and without the people it won't work efficiently. So why not give something back to the users? :)

I think this change is considered to be in a positive way. Now advertiser would have the opportunity to get more views alongside a discount if using the RAWG token. Between what will be the way of counting the views and what kind of viewers can be expected? Is it mainly gamers who will be targeted as RAWG is a gaming platform.

Maybe you could join their bounty then. So you could accumulate the tokens in another way.
Using RAWG token as a payment method to buy advertising channels is the main part of the tokenization value. While you get the token by playing the games, using this platform. You then could change your token for goods or sell them at an exchange, where advertisers are buying them to pay for advertising on the platform again.

Yes the project is really very interesting and I hope that it will be successfully implemented and will attract a lot of attention in the not far future. And while there is such an opportunity, it can now be supported at an early stage and everyone can do it in their own way.

As for ICO we have started implementing blockhain only back in February, so the technical side took some time to make the tokenomics work. Now we're at the finish line, tokens will be distributed in the upcoming days for the airdroppers and bounty hunters. The system will start its work in August.

The beta version of the platform looks different and unique. The color combination is what i like the most. Can't spot much of difference in the new version other. Between what new features will be added once the full version of RAWG will be released ?

We're going for community-editable database and personalised recommendations in terms of product by the end of year.
As for tokens, we will be pursuing more partners to get partnership deals for in-game items, hardware products for tokens as well as tokenized Q'n'A service with developers.

It's a great project! Came to hear about RAWG from one of my friend who is participating in the bounty campaign. The best part about RAWG is that about earning while playing. There are several types of participants in the token system. These are gamers, partners, advertisers and RAWG. The token solves different tasks for each type of participants and serves as a way to fulfill the interest of all participants.

i have read that advertisers nead the token to buy advertising on the rawg platform. will they also be able to pay via fiat? are there any benefits using the token?

For the first year advertising will be sold only for token. It was 3 years before but we changed to make it more viable and less strict for the advertisers.

After 1 year after the end of the crowdsale, advertisers will be able to buy ads for fiat, but there will be a 30% discount while purchasing ads for our RAWG token.

So what it will look like:
Let's say, the price of one RAWG token on the exchange is $1 ;D.
If they buy with fiat, they pay $30. But if they decide to pay in RAWG tokens, they will only need to pay $21 (21 RAWG tokens)

The team have a very good start and marketing technique so there is no reason that they will not reach their goal if they continue like this. It's a good article, and yes if i ever have the opportunity to earn a living lifestyle by playing game (obviously not being a professional gamer), i would rather quit my job and shift to game play! It's just now a wait to check how much someone can really earn by playing game using RAWG platform :)

That is a certain question to raise, but as we are saying it's more monetizing your hobby to get a little extra (or maybe a lot extra, if the demand is there), and less turning your hobby into work and making the gamer grind those achievements.
