I buy mostly to trade with them. You might call that speculation. There is a fine line between the last three categories in your poll. I bought crypto because i know alot of people already changed their financial from it, cryptocurreny offer very high profit in short times and although currently crypto market on bearish but in the long run this market has potential to be multi trilliun dolar market cap. Bitcoin and others crypto has potential to going up more to multiple times because currently this market still young with low market cap. I believe another bull run will coming soon in the end of this year or next year and the total market cap can be going to more than $1 trilliun at that times.

I bought crypto's because this is the only for me to get profit easily to have bitcoin portfolio in my wallet. Although, most of my crypto was gained into different bounty campaign project which I joined in before. so for now, buying pundix is much deserving to invest in due to its a POS system applied in the exchange.

I buy bitcoin because I want to have an investment in my life. Although bitcoin is a new type of investment with full of risk, I can accept, and I can try to increase the amount in many ways. Like other people, I am trying to trade bitcoin pair altcoin, and bitcoin pair usdt so I can have a chance to grow my bitcoin amount. I will be honest with my answer, and first of all I dont buy it to support the technology but I buy it for my own purposes like investing, making my wealth grow more and more. There are only few of the coins which I have supported for the sake of their technology because I felt they were out of the box. I still remember one project names as Trippki, JNT, etc who were based on medical institutions and dAPP creation services. These were relatively new one when I first invested into them and there were very less competitors of them. 2017 was the golden year for bitcoin and crypto world. Bitcoin price was up to 6000$ to 20000$ and all kind of token was moon and people get huge profit this time and holder gets pain.I thought bitcoin price up this October and after the end bitcoin will be 15000$ so i advised holding your asset until 2020 if market stay like this .

I do not exactly buy bitcoin but I "accept" bitcoin as a payment option and that has helped me immensely. I have been getting paid constantly for the work I have been doing and I have stopped taking fiat money because it is taking too long.

Normally during a work I need to work a whole month and sometimes even longer to get paid and the getting paid part takes a lot of time because when you are talking about couple hundred dollars it is not easy to send it from a bank account from usa to another country and usually I worked with people from USA which made it really hard for me to accept money.

However this way I get paid like almost daily, at most weekly and that way I can live much more freely knowing that the money is coming right around the corner without worrying about calculating how much I need until the first of each month and what will happen to the money on the way.

I chose to invest and buy cryptocurrencies because it really provides high return compared to other businesses but still, a huge losses in just a blink of an eye also comes in play if you are not aware what you are doing or not that inform with crypto news or the altcoin you preferred to invest with. I chose to be a part of crypto industry where it will surely bloom someday and when that happens, a wealthy life awaits when investing to these cryptocurrencies. This is the future of payment or money transferring in the next couple of years and I don't wanted to miss that boat.

I voted for "support technology" only because I didn't have any other option. I would have preferred to vote for "I have a real use of it". I use it as a currency not to speculate or to have fun with. Isn't what Bitcoin is for? Actually I didn’t buy bitcoin since then,instead I bought altcoins to add on my portfolio.

But i have bitcoins that sitting in my wallets as investments,and i gain this from this campaign yobit for couple of years now,and all i can say is i am happy everytime i look in my folios,though this year is frustrating but i manage to keep patience and still hold my coins

Like the answer in general, I buy Cryptocurrencies for Investments that aim to gain profits in the future. Even though sometimes I fail to choose Coin to invest, it will make us more selective in making decisions.

yeah, this is crypto currency. with all the risks and benefits. most of those who bought before 2017 were very rich at this time. and has changed their lives. in 2015 someone in my place sold his land and invested in bitcoin at that time. He bought around 100BTC for a total of around $ 3800. and he sells when bitcoin has a price of $ 15,000 at the end of 2017. so it gets a total of $ 1.5m. it's fantastic. and now he has changed his life.

Nothing is more profitable like investing into cryptocurrency why because if it favours you you might invest with $10 and after some months you will get a profits of almost $200 which is great but in investing you need to take a risk first.

This is a bit of an issue for the future, I think. All the newbies in this thread are talking about holding and making great profits, but no one is talking about spending or using bitcoin. Without use and adoption, bitcoin will never grow.



The bullrun went from $2000 to $20000 - it was pretty obvious that was never going to be sustained. People who bought at the peak were generally newbies to crypto. Enticed by the bullrun they jumped in at the exact wrong time without doing any research.

Picking the wrong coin is another common mistake. Bitcoin has fallen by 65%, but BCH has fallen by over 90%. The market is always going to be risky if you do no research and buy trash coins like BCH.

I actually do buy cryptocurrency because I support the technology, knowing how far it has helped me in most of my daily endeavors when it comes to ease of payment. A lot may not understand that, but at least I understand pretty well that there are so many benefit in this space than just for investment purposes. Sure, we cannot discard the fact that increase in value in the long term is bound to come into play, but I only see that as just a side benefit for holding and not the main reason why I am into cryptocurrency.

I like to buy cryptocurrencies because of two main things, FOMO or fear of missing out and usage of the coin that affects my life. If I see at my watchlist that there is a change in a coin, I buy them because I know that in cryptocurrencies, it push always by people. I tend to buy using bounce play because it is very effective.

I am not really surprised, looking at the fact that a lot of people are actually here for the investment and considering how speculative this environment has been till date. Asides supporting the technology and knowing there is a future here, it is that future that apparently drives the investment knowing that in the long run we actually have some benefit to gain being a part of this phase at a very early stage.

Many people love to buy cryptos as it appears them to as a valuable asset which they will sell when the price is high or when they are in need of money.

while bitcoin is already at it's 10th year since its birth, it's still considered in its early phase.  there would come a day that people will be using cryptocurrencies more than fiat in daily transactions.  and that day, bitcoin will be more valuable than it is today.

Maybe if all country accept it and make it legal, a lot of people can start to use it. But now some governments make it as illegal to use as payment and it can be barrier to make things that you mention realized.

10 years is STILL at an early stage for bitcoin. We can even say it's at its infancy. Imagine 10 years after fiat was implemented. There are only two form of reason for us to invest here that is buying Bitcoin and Crypto.
And with these two crypto is much more profitable to me, it is because for me there is a high chances

I buy cryptocurrencies because it has a huge potential get profit just by holding this kind of currency. Unlike fiat you can't gain profit in holding so that's why I buy cryptocurrency. And many people who bought cryptocurrency are rich now.

I bought cryptocurrency because this is the reason why I survive for 4 years now. Through crypto, I can able to earn many times of Bitcoin and majority of the community knows this things because they've experienced the same thing I have now. And the volatility was also aggressive in the market as well too.
