Few months back i purchased arround 15 to 16 btc when bitcoin price was 10000$ to 11000$ each btc but now arround 4000$ each btc .Just waiting for 11000$ for each btc than i should leave btc and i can see bitcoin have no future in this time.

If your story is true then I guess you took a finanancial advice from someone who isnt professionals. That is the newbie problem , to make more money very early in his cryptocurrency adventure. The best is to get courage and hold with it for sometime and see what the market has to offer you.

@op  thats is right . dont listen on the noise  , just foccus on the technology or purpose that bitcoin can give in the future .   dont just sell your btc's immediately just because you need the cash badly because that is a bad decision to make ,  you can rather look for more alternative option such as borrowing money from friends , relatives or family   .

Its your own decision. You know that cryptos are risky term of investments and you already know the possibility of lossing investments. In the first place, why did you bought bitcoin at that price? I myself had bought BTC when its $6500 thinking its also  going to keep its price range at this level. You do have choices but selling now is going to destroy you once more. If you are willing to wait til price rise up to $11k, then wait a little more so you can profit.

Well its your choice if you are going to leave bitcoin but I promise you that it will be the worse decision you will ever made. If I were you im going to stick with bitcoin even during this time that it is not fully recovered from fall down. As an investor you have to seek for some reason to stay during bad time because no one knows what will happen in the future. Your statement is no correct and bitcoin did not destroy you, as long as bitcoin remain a store of value you only lose that value when you cash out you bitcoin at the present market price. You bought when the price is around $10000 to $11000 and knowing fully well how the volatile the market is, it does not guarantee continues increase so you must keep hodling and wait till the market recover again.

The first mistake you have done is that you invested all in one shot, next is without knowing the bitcoin market you have entered it. The rule of investment is always buy in split so that if the market falls down you should be able to buy more to average your buying price. I think you are feeling very bad at the moment because of the price. I will tell you my opinion (as a person who does not have many bitcoins, so my opinion is a view from the side). Forget about the bitcoin price for a year or two. Everything will be good 100%. All these moods that are now in you and other people this is a standard situation.

You won't do it, that's human nature. I also thought that people would perform a mass exit above 1000 USD, because that was the level most bag holders were waiting for since 2013 and it was also a large round number. Guess what, it did not happen.

Well, any investment brings up its risks, right? There's no way to become rich without risking. You either risk and become successful or you don't and you continue to live the normal day-to-day life.

I cannot promise and/or guarantee another price spike, but I can tell you that I've been here for a pretty long time and a lot of the people who bought in late 2013 when the price went up to +$1200 sold in 2015, when it fell back down to ~$150. I was one of them, I sold close to the lowest price BTC ever had since I found out about it.

Ever since that year I never panic-sold again. I consider it a mistake to sell on loss, unless there is an evident sign of BTC's collapse - which I have never seen and most likely will never see. I'm on loss too - I have between 80 and 85% loss on every ETH investment. I'm still holding though, waiting for it to grow back up. You supposedly need to invest an amount you can afford to lose.

Except pyramid schemes and scams, there is no way you can have a guaranteed ultra-high income. You do have some options:

• Sell everything and accept your loss
• Buy more as the price is now less than half the price you bought at, hoping for an increase
• Hold, waiting for another spike
• Do trading, start with low amounts until you become an intermediate/advanced trader. You might multiply your investment, but this is a second risk you will have to take after losing money through the $10-11k => $4k fall: you might also lose a big amount of money through trading.

You are expecting the results too early,wait for the prices to go over your cost until you need to have some income source to complete your money need.If you just only trusted bitcoin for your future then it maybe a wrong decision because investments are always risky either it will have profits or loss based on the market situation.

I guess this is the same with a lot of early buyers of Bitcoin. Before Bitcoin rose to it's popularity and expensive price, it is just a cryptocurrency that only some of them really knows what will happen to it in the future. If you are investing in risk control before you invest, then you will not say this, I always tell my friends, I warned them not to put all the eggs in a basket, and do not buy eggs with all your money. Sorry to say but Bitcoin did not destroy you it is you who did it to yourself by not doing due diligence and risk management before investing that amount of money in bitcoin. I agree with this you should involved yourself here first if you expect zero probability of facing some anomalies ,since unlike the other currency Bitcoin has its own imperfections which may be a hindrance for us to have our expectations but we should be stopped by just looking at this negative side of Bitcoin, sooner it will in its desirable state again and the thing that we should doing by dow is to work.

Feel sad but in my opinion you shouldn't invested the huge amount on purchasing BTC because crypto is the market where price is unpredictable and that too the market is in tougher situation. You would have invested small amount on buying BTC and hold it till the year 2019 to see the profits from Bitcoin. Bitcoin market is dropping because of lot FUD and some investors taking out money of BTC. But we will expect good result in the upcoming year.

Who says bitcoin is digital gold? You? Bitcoin is Bitcoin. It could be worth millions or nothing at some point and there's certainly no guarantees it will continue to climb and that's why bitcoin should be seen as nothing but an experiment and a very risky speculative asset. Bitcoin might be worth pennies by the next halving and there's nothing stopping people losing faith in it and jumping onto something else so don't bet your entire life saving son it unless you have balls of steel and believing in it more than anything else.

I have friends that have done the same thing, investing (much smaller amounts) when price was 11,12 thousand, talking about rise of value on 20+ thousand as only logical thing based on some prediction that they`ve read...
I hope that you will re-gain your funds but I know that, if the price hit that limit, you are not going to sell at 10, 11 thousand but you will wait to raise just a little bit more. If it grows from 4 to 10 thousand, why wouldn`t it goes more further  :)

What were you trying to do? If you were "investing" in BTC then you should have noticed that it is a terrible investment. It was not conceived as an investment and has poor utility as such. You should expect drops of 60%-70% or more. This is totally normal.

It is also a beta phase social experiment with profound risks of failure. Which is why rule number one in investing is "Thou shall never invest more than you can afford to completely lose." A better approach is to use it as money (since it is money). Just buy $200 worth and spend it when it goes up. Then repeat.  Live life on a discount.

I will like to ask if you bought for long term investment,  or for just short term trading to cash out profit if there woukd be any pump like the 2017 December. ? If these questions are well answered,  then you will know of bitcoin destroyed you or not. Bitcoin has a huge potential.  But not a sudden price increase as we expect.

I bought FB and AMZ stocks when those were in loss and that went more down the day I purchased (demo) those using his account, also there were BTC.

now, only BTC jumped a little next day, with some 7/8 dollar profit, and AMZ and FB were in dipping. but right now, FB and AMZ are the stocks that are making money and BTC is in dip again!

Today, like a few hours ago, he told me he will buy some more FB and AMZ as they are paying off, but I told him to get some more in BTC as BTC is cheaper now, and will pay off in future.

the thing is, he gets nervous when a stock goes down and think that this is end of that stock, but in reality, 80% of the dipping stocks recovers in time, you just need to wait up till then.

if you are a short term investor or trader, you only see current profit, but any investor will see the future profit in dip stocks.

If you're not a true believer then you shouldn't have put your money in bitcoin. You've purchased bitcoin at $10000 and now the price per bitcoin is $4000, which is 60% less than the purchase cost. I suggest you keep the faith and hold your bitcoins and consider it as a long-term investment.

I am quite sure you knew about the risks when investing on bitcoin/cryptocurrencies. You bought it when the price was around $11,000. That means you did hold till the price reached around $20,000. When the price started falling, you didn't sell your coins. You kept on holding it. Then why are you giving up now? Just keep holding it. Eventually you will make profit. And do keep in mind that its the value that has dropped. You still have the same amount of coins that you have bought.

At this point a lot of people don't even care about making a profit they just want to break even.  Many bagholders are waiting for the price they bought at so they can immediately dump and relieve their stress.  I'm kind of in the same situation for the altcoins that I bought, most of them are down 90% or more.

A friend of mine also bought 8 Bitcoins for 11,000 each. He borrowed money from friends and faithfully believed that he would sell 18,000 in a month and be happy. Yes I agree with you. Depending on the amount invested into Bitcoin, it can be very life consuming. For example: Waking up in the middle of the night or checking very price fluctuations every minute just to make sure your investments don't crash. It gets quite nerve wrecking.

I think if you still hold bitcoin, you don't have to sell right now because it will give a big loss for you. And if you still have money now, you can rebuy bitcoin as the price is at the lower rate and if you don't have any money to invest in bitcoin, then you should hold your bitcoin. But there are other options that you can try, but it's too risky. You can try to buy and sell bitcoin especially if the price is down deeper, so you have a chance to sell at the high price. Don't think that the price will increase double in the short-term but I guess that it is enough to sell bitcoin when the price increase of about 10% from the price you buy.

my advise for you:
1- Sell  half of your bitcoin  
8BTC  at the current rate 4 k so you get $32k
Place an order  to buy 5BTC at 3K  that is $15K
Place another order at  8.5 BTC at $2K  that $17K

Set SMS alert to watch the price if it goes above $5K or $6K it means its going up
so you may cancel your order and buy at higher price
but most likely it will goes down to 3 or 2 then recover

keep waiting BTC will cross 19K again for sure its just a matter of time

I am in the same situation as you. Bought at 7,5K. I am trying to trade on the fall, I sold after breaking the 4K border and bought again at 3,3K eur. This way I am trying to decrease my buying average. Now I sold some BTC when crossing 3000 eur. This is really tough to predict what will happen. But I can not just hold and pray for turn.
