I think this is an update to the original project. Like seperate deal but just an addition to the original. Think so.. Have to read a little more about it.

Will ICN tokens have a comparable exchange rate for eICN indefinitely?
Once established, the exchange rate between ICN and eICN will not change. However, there may be additional fees for exchange after December 31.

I guess Bitcointalk is still the nr.1 crypto talk. If I remember correct Iconomi was one of the first couple of icos in europe. Now this is interresting and great that they are pushing things ahead and proving to all the sceptics that blockchain is soo much alive. I have been reading the NEXT features and how many of the features were choosen by the community ? Good way to secure the best UI/UX for your users. You have anything more like some brochures or a lightpaper or something for me to learn more ?

Most of the tokens that are mentioned over there are not even listed on the ICONOMI exchange I am the member of ICONOMI exchange and they have hardly listed 10-12 digital assets.

I don't know what problems the ICONOMI team is getting,
their volume has also dropped sharply to just $ 139 in livecoin, they should have thought about that too

I am not totally sure but they might start adding new tokens which are in the high demands in the community but I am more interested in finding out what is this new ICONOMI next thingy.

No, I sold most of my tokens ever since all the major exchanges started to de-listing ICN. I only have a couple hundred token left which I kept in case we see a sudden surge in price.

BTW yes they are offering to change your ICN to ETH at a fixed price .001ETH (don't remember the exact price).

Active trading will allow experts to manage their portfolio with concrete amounts of single asset. At the moment experts can manage the weights of specific asset in their portfolio (in % amount), active trading will allow them to increase ETH position for specific amount (e.g. 5ETH).

Most of the features are coming in first half of 2019. The presented roadmap on iconomi-next is a "living thing" that means we will be adding new features and changing the priority of release according to user feedback ! Expect a new survey where you will be able to vote what feature you want to see first!

eICN Exchange Process
The dedicated ICN exchange page will remain continuously available until December 31, 2019. There will be two distribution dates:

July 31, 2019: All ICN tokens exchanged by June 30, 2019
January 31, 2020: All ICN tokens exchanged by December 31, 2019
Exchange Rates
The ICN to eICN exchange will remain 1:1 for the entire period up to December 31, 2019. The ICN to ETH exchange rate has changed and is now 0.00165 ETH for one ICN token. This exchange rate is valid until January 31, 2019.

Starting February 1, 2019, the ICN to ETH exchange rate will be 0.00125. We encourage you to act now and exchange your ICN on the ICONOMI platform.

After December 31, 2019, exchange of ICN tokens will no longer be possible. All ICN tokens still on the ICONOMI platform on December 31, 2019 will automatically be converted to ETH at the exchange rate valid at that time.

As I write this there is a live opportunity that is available for savvy traders to buy the ICONOMI (ICN) token on exchanges for slightly less than 0.0017 Ether. Next month ICONOMI will buy back their own token for 0.0019 as part of a restructure.

The only wrong statement here is that not many are monitoring Iconomi. Iconomi was popular back then, it would have been more popular if its token model was acceptable in Binance. Literally every crypto venture suffered almost 90% losses on average. So it is not unique to ICN.

Crypto developed much like the internet. Initially, the internet was completely unregulated and very heated debates were had about to what extent to regulate it. The outcome is only partial regulation of the internet while the rest was left to evolve freely. And evolve it did!

Why we need regulation ?

The main point of regulation is the protection of the investor. We are aware that one of the main properties of Bitcoin is that it cannot be regulated, that it frees the monetary system from any unwanted intervention and monitoring of the authorities. Nevertheless, while this idea is great in theory, it might be utopian in reality. The (Bitcoin) blockchain (a database held and updated independently by thousands of computers in a large network), is not supposed to be regulated, but the venues where cryptocurrencies are traded (also known simply as exchanges) still need to adhere to certain rules, mainly aimed at the protection of investors (traders and hodlers).

If I buy ICN tokens on an exchange does that mean that I also get them traded for security tokens or is that just for the ones who participated in your ICO offering?

It's not and i m feeling doubt about that dude, Why don't they give us their promise to distributing the profit that acquired by the company when it was famous a years before? I was an early investors in this one and it has changed the concept from distributing the dividend into the buyback and burn.
That will never happen. ICONOMI has already created its security token but this company tried to replace it again to change it into the utility but basically this is useless.

So ICN will become a security token and be listed on new exchanges with securities?

Do you have an article on how theese management fees are calculated I would really like to know the 'math' behind. Some of the fees are maybe 1% and some are up to 6%. I have checked the market cap / AUM and there is actually no connection between the fees and the market cap.  (For example: We take MoonShot fund  that takes 1% fee and has a market cap of 43.000 € and the other one is Global Macro Crypto that takes 6% management fee and has less capital I mean market cap of 30.000 € ).

Forgot to reply. Yes I found theese infos. For the cryptocurrencies there is enough background (you can also get it elswhere), but for fund there would be nice to have maybe a little more information.

Great feature if you ask me for rebalancing your fund that is a must after a certain period of time.

Rebalancing - adjusting the Crypto Fund structure

Rebalancing is the process of buying or selling assets to maintain an original desired level of asset allocation. For example, you designed your fund to contain 50% Bitcoin and 50% Ether. Let’s say Bitcoins price rises higher than that of Ether. You may end up with Bitcoin comprising 60% of your fund (60% of your fund AUM - Assets under management). Rebalancing simply means selling some Bitcoin and buying some Ether so that their shares in your fund get back to 50% each. But let us do the complex math and trading, your job is finished with a few simple clicks.

Another look at rebalancing is changing the weights of individual assets in your fund (e.g. if you want Bitcoin to represent 30% of your fund instead of 50%), adding new assets to your fund or removing existing assets from your fund structure.

Somewhere you say a minimum of 100 euros is the lowest to start and somewhere you say you can start with your first investment  from 10 euros . What is right here ?

It’s not easy being a crypto fund manager. As well as unruly markets and elusive valuations, there’s the increasing competition and pressure on fees. And performance has been lackluster: Vision Hill’s Q1 report showed that, on average, active funds have underperformed bitcoin so far this year.

The bear market of 2018 triggered the closure of many crypto funds, and a report released last week by PwC and Elwood Asset Management showed that there are far fewer active funds in existence than we had been led to believe.

The report also pointed out that, given a median management fee of 2% and a median fund size of $4 million, operational sustainability is tough: $80,000 recurring income is not enough to cover salaries and other overheads, especially given the likelihood of increasing compliance requirements.

The PwC/Elwood report mentions some steps that funds are taking to boost recurring income, such as market making and advisory roles.

It overlooks one potentially significant source of revenue, however: crypto lending. Funds could lend out the assets they hold, for a fee.

Given the growing demand for crypto lending services, this potential income stream could be enough to give a number of funds a greater chance of survival, as well as inject liquidity and diversity into the sector.

It could also, however, add hidden risk to the market overall.

Unfortunately, citizens of the United States cannot use the ICONOMI platform at this time. Currently the US market is not on the roadmap. The crypto space is constantly evolving and changing and consequently, we cannot prepare a really detailed long term roadmap. The main reason not to include the US to the envisioned roadmap is compliance. An offering of Digital Portfolios in the US would mean obtaining very complex licenses and maintaining such licenses would be very burdensome for ICONOMI at this stage. We have therefore made the decision not to enter the US market for the time being, although we are aware that the potential of this market is enormous and we are keeping it in our minds for the future.

Heraclitus, a Greek philosopher, said that change is the only constant in life. And with that in mind, we also started 2019. As a team, we became leaner and our focus on the users gave its first results: launching new webpage, accompanied by more active status on our social media networks. The direction is set and ICONOMI Next is our new manifestation.

In Q1 our book value decreased slightly from 37.2 to 36 million USD. In January, we converted the second tranche of ICN to ETH. We partially sold positions in MANA, Aergo, and Bitcoin. Going forward we will disclose major positions we hold, while other transactions will be mentioned in comments. Regarding the previously undisclosed investments, these investments are Aergo, Arweave, Carry, Hypernet 1, Hypernet 2, Thunder, Oasis, Origo, Witnet, and Nucypher. We are proud to be an investor in these great projects, some of which are now trading at up 5x our investment multiples.

We will continue with selling alt coins and streamline our portfolio to core investments, while at the same time maintaining enough fiat for funding our operations.
Looking at our burn rate, we see significant improvement. While revenues in Q1 did not change much (platform fees were 40k, while staking fees were 38k), we decreased expenditures by almost a third. The main cut was in salaries (smaller team) and services costs. Legal costs (mainly related to eICN process and AML) and marketing costs are the main contributors to service costs.

Can I change my mind after submitting my non-binding interest/completing the exchange process?
Yes. If an ICN token holder changes their preference, they can revisit www.iconomi.com at any time during the non-binding period, click the “Exchange ICN” button, and cancel their previous choice. After cancellation, ICN token holders can repeat the process by choosing to exchange a smaller amount of their ICN tokens for eICN tokens, or choosing to exchange their ICN tokens for ETH instead of exchanging them for eICN tokens. The only process that is final and unable to be changed is the exchange of ICN tokens for ETH (see below). The process can be repeated several times within the periods indicated in our latest announcement.
Notwithstanding the above, please note that since the first exchange of ICN tokens for ETH will be done in December 2018, i.e., during the first round of submission of non-binding interest for exchanging ICN tokens for eICN tokens, once the process of exchange of ICN tokens for ETH is irreversible (please see the technical description below), ICN token holders can no longer change their mind about exchanging their ICN tokens for ETH.
What is the exchange rate between ICN tokens and eICN tokens?
We currently predict that the exchange rate between ICN tokens and eICN security tokens will be 1:1 (i.e., for one ICN tokens, one eICN security token will be issued).

First off, there’s this thing called cryptocurrencies, or just crypto. What is that in the first place? A cryptocurrency is a digital asset that uses cryptography to secure financial transactions, control the creation of additional units, and verify the transfer of assets. Still confusing? That’s all well and fine, but what on earth is cryptography? See, it’s not that simple after all. 😉 According to Wikipedia, cryptography means constructing and analyzing protocols that prevent third parties or the public from reading private messages. By now, we’re sure everyone reading these lines has heard of Bitcoin. But there are so many other cryptocurrencies out there. And they even have a common name – Altcoins, or ‘Alts’ for short. Alts were conceived as an alternative to Bitcoin and therefore encompass all cryptocurrencies that are not Bitcoin.

Moving on – we’ve written before that Bitcoin and Blockchain are two different things. But what is blockchain anyway? This one’s a tough cookie, so we’ll just borrow from the internet: a blockchain is a growing list of records, called blocks, which are linked using cryptography. It’s basically a network of hundreds, sometimes even thousands of computers running software code that enables Bitcoin and Alts to exist and travel from one address to another.

Address? Like a postal address? Well, not quite. Similar to an email address, a blockchain address is an alphanumeric string of characters that represent a destination where crypto can be sent to and from. For example, a Bitcoin address looks like this: 3KbWWjumBGLBUWYCeidydxe1uET9QyWoEg. Harder to remember than your phone number, yes, so thank the universe for copy/paste.

An address usually involves the use of a public and private keys. And no, we’re not trying to confuse you, these things actually do exist, we swear!

Anything above 0.50% is a fee collected by ICONOMI and its managers. Exit costs can vary depending on the liquidity of the fund and currency chosen. An exact quote is provided during the selling process.

Entry fee
Range: 0 - 2%
If you look at the platform, you will see that most of the Crypto Funds have 0%.  Anything above zero is a fee collected by the ICONOMI and managers.

Management fee
Range: 0 - 10% (annual)
The management fee is distributed between ICONOMI and its managers. It is collected every night and distributed in the first week of the next month to your account (as increased value of the Crypto Fund).

Most cryptocurrencies and tokens can be broken down into fractional parts. That means you can buy and sell less than 1 whole unit of an individual cryptocurrency. For example, the smallest unit of bitcoin—called a satoshi after Bitcoin’s creator—is one one hundred millionth of a bitcoin. If you invested one euro right now, you would receive 0.00031 bitcoin. Looks weird, right? It’s quite common, though. You can actually own as little as 0.00000001 bitcoin.

We are proud to have demonstrated this commitment through our blockchain audit by Deloitte. By providing an independent overview, Deloitte verified that the digital assets on our platform have been reported accurately and that ICONOMI is solvent. On April 5, 2018, ICONOMI had $133.6M of liabilities and $210.2M of reserves, distributed across 80 digital assets, fully covering all liabilities. With this step, ICONOMI has become the first blockchain-based company to be blockchain audited by a “Big Four” professional services firm.

As planned, the first step in the process of exchanging ICN finished on December 31, 2018. 80% of ICN holders already exchanged their ICN, with the following results:

The dedicated ICN exchange page will remain continuously available until December 31, 2019. There will be two distribution dates:
July 31, 2019: All ICN tokens exchanged by June 30, 2019
January 31, 2020: All ICN tokens exchanged by December 31, 2019
Exchange Rates
The ICN to eICN exchange will remain 1:1 for the entire period up to December 31, 2019. The ICN to ETH exchange rate has changed and is now 0.00165 ETH for one ICN token. This exchange rate is valid until January 31, 2019.
Starting February 1, 2019, the ICN to ETH exchange rate will be 0.00125. We encourage you to act now and exchange your ICN on the ICONOMI platform.
After December 31, 2019, exchange of ICN tokens will no longer be possible. All ICN tokens still on the ICONOMI platform on December 31, 2019 will automatically be converted to ETH at the exchange rate valid at that time.
We encourage all ICN holders who have not yet taken action to start the ICN exchange process now!

We have also set up a system to enable users to verify their account balances for themselves.The proof of solvency also proves that ICONOMI's reserves are greater than its liabilities.Note: A proof of solvency does not constitute any type of financial statement audit. It is defined as a process in which blockchain technology is used to prove the existence and/or ownership of digital assets.

Can a company officially create a fund for saving. Depositing money every month and employees joining the fund for a long term investment (like some kind of saving for later retirenment?) i mean it is totally legit but can you sign smart contracts with employees also?

At the end of July we silently released our new trading engine, which was slowly ramped up in capacity up to today’s full release. From the start of August to today, we have already processed almost twice the number of trades compared to the entire month of December 2017, which was our busiest month since the ICONOMI platform went live.
