So our DT has been taken over by a bunch of people that are OBSERVABLY DIRTY.  These people have been allowed to game the merit system,  rewarding each other for their low functioning spew and now due to a genius level design they are AUTOMATICALLY "trust worthy" ??

Oh really? so although Theymos seems to only just be waking up to the FACT that many of these scum bags on DT will do or say ANYTHING to ensure they remain in DT and merit cycling circles here. He seems not to have noticed they leverage these positions to ENSURE they grasp hold of the highest paying and most lucrative sig spots via their PALS who (also DT and merit cyclers).

If this was not enough...  the clues are

1. They mostly all cycle merit to each other
2. They mostly  all vote to include each other on DT (via their foolishly given right to be the ones to decide on WHOM is eligible for DT)
3. They mostly all seem to be creaming off the best paying (in btc) sig spots via their pals who are campaign managers.
4. The central cluster of Dirty Turds also seem to exclude the same people from dt.
5. They will use the "TRUST" system to punish whistle blowing of their prior observable wrong doing.

This idiot has gone as far as to define himself EVIL and willing to knowingly facilitate scams for a price.

In 2014 he was running around this board screaming for people to have negative trust for selling accounts here. He claimed they were EVIL and knowingly facilitating scamming.

Undeniable scammer supporter. Claims the observable instances in the intial post are NOT grounds for red trust and are not scamming. Claims that Tmans auction scamming deliberate deception for financial gain and trying to punish and shut down other members giving fair appraisal of the item is not scamming or financially high risk behavior. He claims that is behavior that is fully acceptable from a DEFAULT TRUST member here. Really saddened to hear about the extortion case. I knew about the merit cycling that goes on the forum and how signature campaign are managed but going as far as extorting people using their real life documents is totally unacceptable. I don’t think small amounts of merit would constitute the type of “merit circle” that would be any kind of a problem. The sole criteria for merit that I give out is if the post in question is objectively ‘good’ and/or high effort and/or is the type of post that the forum should have more of. I don’t participate in any kind of merit circle arrangement.

If there were larger amounts (either in raw amounts or percentages of merit received) of merit involved, there would be a bigger problem in a “merit circle”, especially if the amounts involved allow for those involved to rank up or more importantly have additional DT votes. I probably wouldn’t be concerned unless there were hundreds of merit involved amongst the “circle”. I haven’t looked into if there are any real merit circles anywhere. I wouldn’t be especially surprised to see one or two that would reasonably be considered abuse when reviewed by a neutral person. I don’t know if anyone the OP is complaining about would be part of any merit circle.

Such thread is likely to be seen with amusement and ridicule.

Accusations regarding reputation and scams have specific boards on this forum . It prevents it being repeated over and over again.

Everyone at some stage has had some sort of accusation leveled against them and it is only fair that it is in the format that is accepted on the reputation or scam boards.

There is a tendency to rehash the same accusations over and over again in multiple threads on various boards when the person making the accusation doesn't get the desired results.

Each DT can only be responsible for their own decisions regarding trust. Getting DT's to agree on something unanimously is like herding cats.

None of those on the OP list I would personally place a flag or tag on. Some people I trust but do not necessarily agree with their conduct - they neither get my trust list nor do I tag them.  I only take responsibility for those I specifically trust. As DT1 or DT2 there is no specific duty to tag people and there has to be a level of forgiveness for individual errors in judgement.

I dislike account sellers and account buyers. Selling accounts often leads to scams. But generally I have only ever tagged them if the account was used in a proven scam, proven bounty cheating where the manager complains or symilar conduct . However I do not disapprove of others that do tag sold accounts or account sellers.

So no double standard there. I'm also not about to change my personal criteria for tagging.

Nutildah and Tman are on my trust list.

I don't know Lauda well. Lauda has never been on my trust list and Lauda has not trusted me.
I do communicate with Lauda at times and the information they have sent to me has always been reliable.
There have been times I have strongly disagreed with Lauda but I don't expect everyone to always agree with my opinion.
Everyone is responsible for their own actions.

Tman was added to my list around August. I had issues with the zeroaxl issue (I did not follow it completely) which was very poor judgement but in my opinion not with malicious intent. His work on resolving the Russian issue made me regain faith in his ability to work through issues.
A lot of things happen behind the scenes that determine whether I do or do not trust someone.

I believe that Tman has always had me on his trust list but I didn't check.

Tman is a dick sometimes. But I believe his heart is in the right place and he is sometimes exactly what is needed.

I consider myself to be a moderate libertarian with liberal tendencies. I try to work with other opinions. Sometimes I learn new things from people with different opinions. Sometimes we just agree to disagree.

None of the people in the OP have any benefit from receiving merit. They all had Legendary or Hero accounts when merit was introduced.

Some of them are merit sources and by giving merit to people whose judgement they trust it is spread to other users via the sMerit system. The way it was designed.

A legendary account receiving merit = no benefit.
Receiving more than 1000 merit = no benefit to recipient.


That is way the system is supposed to work.  People vote for people that they trust. There were no instant changes but I worked hard to ensure that DT’s were endorsed in the Russian and Turkish communities.
