I will not hold physical goods in escrow, I will only hold the Bitcoin (or other supported cryptos) funds associated with the transaction.

I can also escrow/middleman Steam trades. I can escrow any steam trade except for steam games/gifts.

I can escrow just about anything that has Bitcoin or other cryptos used as currency of exchange. This includes currency exchanges, account sales, collateral for loans, sale of digital/physical goods, services, group buys, etc.

! PLEASE READ ! How to request escrow for a transaction:

When contacting me for escrow please start a group PM (Add other parties in the CC field when sending the PM) with all parties involved copied on the PM. In the PM please provide the following information:

- Who is the seller?
- Who is the buyer?
- What is being traded? (goods, services, etc.)
- What is the agreed price? (total BTC amount needed to be escrowed)
- Under what circumstances can escrow be released?
- Reference thread URL of the transaction if available.

I would appreciate it if both parties confirm the terms of the trade via PM - one party can start the PM then the other party can reply to all confirming that s/he agrees to the terms. Be sure to use the "Reply to All" function to make sure all parties involved receive the messages.

I have completed numerous transactions here on bitcointalk alone. In addition, I frequently use Bitcoin to purchase goods and services around the internet. Due to some personal/family related issues I will not be active for the next week or so, or until further notice.

I will be able to help escrow again starting tomorrow. Just got back home, my apologies for not being able to respond to all PMs this past week as my internet access was very choppy and unreliable when I was out of town.

Unfortunately due to time constraints and high demand on bitcointalk forum account trade escrows, I will now be charging a flat 0.005 BTC fee per bitcointalk forum account trade transaction escrowed. This is due to the amount of extra time needed for me to escrow these transactions as I need to verify each account being sold and to make sure that the sale is safe for all parties involved.

Master-P is delaying a Payment of 1 BTC. I have PMs validating his identity, and a signed PGP message with his current PGP key.

I am accusing him of trying to double-spend, until I am proven wrong.

He is making up excuses on "wallet needing to sync", and delaying the transaction from 30 minutes, to 1 hour, to 2 hours, 12 hours with no PM replies, and making up new excuses.

I am making this post to warn anyone trying to escrow with this user, please refrain from doing so.

He is currently labelled as a scammer, until proven innocent.

If he does scam it's a big surprise to me.

[1] Man if his account is compromised he could have made another account and tell about his problem damn it but he donot do so.

Why don't you ALL post the TX's of the escrows and see if the funds are still in the wallet address. This will be another indicator as to what is going on.

He is holding my coins in escrow... No communication from him for a day but he's been on multiple times today... Let's wait to see what happens...

People please. Stop believing in trust blindly. Trust only helps as a history of previous payments. If he delays your payments by the slightest amount of time, Pm him a lot. On the first sign of him being seen, and not replying to you, paint him red. Accusing someone of scam, is very easy, and if your problem is solved, you can remove it easily.

If anyone here did this, this morning, I wouldn't have lost my 1BTC, and many other more wouldn't have gotten scammed, so please, stop blindly believing people with trust. I actually agree with that, going forward it should be mandatory that Escrow post on THEIR ESCROW ANN THREAD if any payments are delayed OR are going to be delayed due to holidays, technical issues, etc. This way a person like you would be at ease also with the fact he is publicly acknowledging to everyone he is delaying your payment or the payment of others. BUT the downside to that is you can definitely expect a higher % escrow fee for the extra time it's going to take them to accommodate those extra pm's, post etc... Me personally? I wouldn't be touching this escrow stuff for less then a 5% fee on every transaction. Dealing with disputes, answering pm's, checking accounts, no way I would do that for FREE or 1% or whatever these guys here are charging now.

I mean you do realize when you send funds to an escrow you are literally sending money to a person you have never met before, a complete stranger... You don't know his health condition, what if he had a heart attack or a stroke or something, or his plane crashed or he got in a fatal car accident, the risks are MASSIVE when dealing with a complete stranger who you have never met before, even if he is "Trusted" what happens if something happens to him whose going to release the coins then ? These things needed to be sorted out before hand.  I would have gotten his personal cell number and at least talked to the guy for a couple minutes before sending him any decent amount of money.  Its just a normal thing to do honestly lol

I can trade and build up rep for 2 years. And then suddenly today, after losing 60 consecutive bets on dice, I realize I don't have a lot of funds.

I keep escrowing for people, and make up small excuses to make you believe me, I do have xxxx+ trust after all.

You have to wonder how long was it going to take for that to keep up, if everyone believes him for at least 3 days.

3 days is a fucking goldmine with an account like master-p's, simply for this exact reason. Trust.

If everyone would consider trust as a simple system for you to pick the people that are MOST LIKELY  not going to scam you, instead of actually trusting what they say, and letting them get away with "small delays", then each user, no matter how fucking legendary he might be on the forums, won't be able to stack scams and coins like this before getting busted on the 2nd user scammed.

I think its better for a reputable website for escrow service...like localbitcoins which is very simple to use...

If he can reply to my PM, saying that the payment will take a while, then go off the grid for 10 hours, then again have the nerve to ask me to wait 30 more minutes, he could have used 1/100th of that time to send a tx and release my btc.

If he has not spent your coins then the chances are lower that he is pulling a runner. It was not long ago that he was having problems with armory and needed to download the blockchain again. If that is still the case then I would not worry, although I would not engage in additional escrows until he can get the blockchain downloaded and release the escrows that he needs to release.

His tipping/fees address listed in the OP has all funds unspent... So thats a positive sign.

A lot of people are saying that he is very busy. He is escrowing multiple sig camps and also escrowing for individual people. Just wait and you will get your Bitcoin.

He also PM'd several times to wait another 20 mins, 30 mins and so on and went of the grid for hours not answering PM's while going off and online... if you hold somebody's money the least he could do was answer all PM's.

Do you have any idea of what's even happening over here? He's a escrow service provider. He had a hell lot of green trust. He did have many escrow trades earlier. So, it was fucking obvious to trust him as the escrow agent.

Probably he don't want to use his account to scam others to ruin his reputation rather than selling his accounts and think it was non of his business after the sales. He should have known that consequence.

Making an announcement that he (master-p) sold his account will lower the value of the account which will make it useless.

He is pretty clearly just trolling. Take a look at his trust -- he was trying to scam pennies from a giveaway and I would find it highly unlikely that he would have 10BTC to send to escrow

I think he was already planned it all before its happen. Honestly i trusted him before 100% as an escrow because of lots of positive trusted.
But now i hate him very much by doing this scam to all of us mostly for affected campaigns and members of campaign.

I keep seeing people saying how much they trusted master-p.  I have to ask...  Why?  What is it you found when doing due diligence on him that made you think he could be trusted?  Has he created anything?  Is there some project he's been running for the community?  Has he paid back owed debts before when things have gone bad?  Has he displayed a higher level of knowledge about Bitcoin?  Looking at his trust history, prior to becoming an escrow the trust he received was for very small deals involving digital products.  Even by member rank which is the most crude of trust tools the guy is only a hero.  What did he do to earn your trust?

Once again, the problem here isn't escrows or the trust system.  It's users blindly following others off a cliff.  The same thing that has decimated the Bitcoin securities market.  Please people, at least make an effort to determine if someone is trustworthy before sending them your BTC.

I see as a result of this scam, some users are now trying to push a mult-sig escrow network.  While at first this appears to resemble a good idea, I believe this guise of security is only another trap that will lure users into escrows with trusted names, only to have 2 of the "trusted escrows" steal everyone's funds.  Please do not fall for this.  All you need to do is look at my escrow thread, or the dozens of PMs from random alts that I've gotten on the subject over the last couple months to see that there is a real push for multi-sig escrows by users who are trying to bait trusted escrows into providing a more secure service only to rip everyone off.  Let this be the warning.

I don't want to point any fingers or be rude, but I personally blame a few people's gullibleness. That's where the problem is coming from, not who's trusted or not. A few of them had their payments delayed for over 24, and 48hours and they didn't speak up, post anywhere, or say something on his trust rating. Which gave him a long interval to stay uncovered and lure in a large amount of users. Otherwise, if people learn to raise a racket at a very strict timelapse, snowballs like this can be prevented, I myself shouldn't have gave him 12 hours to be honest.

I think this thread should be deleted now and escrow members personal information should be made compulsory to be shared eith thymos before they are allowed to act as escrow.This will prevent escrow member from running away with escrow money

IMO They wouldn't offer escrow service. The admins could implement some strict practice to ensure the escrow process to be secure, like ID check, transaction history check etc and recommend the escrow for us.

I aint doing any trade here till the admins really start implementing some vigrous rules.

it wont happen. if the admins were to verify an escrow providers identity and let officially let them offer services on the forum, thats more or less equivalent to the forum vouching or staking their rep or whatever on that escrow provider. should something go wrong, the blame for whatever damage is caused can come back to the forum and its admins for more or less backing the escrow provider by recommending that user as a trustable figure.

In short it is also not the forum responsibility to prevent escrow scams like this in the future again so there is no point in verifying all of this verification because afterall we are all just strangers in the internet so as the old saying goes ' never trust a stranger '

Cant really say he scammed me but he did escrow for 2.3BTC for a cloud mining account that was stolen back 3 days later by the owner saying it was stolen.I asked him to vouch I bought it to the company but he never answered

It is true that he stole 24btc and plus if theymos posts is correct he have other alts that were able to steal more dollars before.
