During the new year of 2018, many of us Bitcoiners have resolutions to make our capital and Bitcoin holdings grow. Most will hodl onto their coins for the long-term until Bitcoin reaches an all-time high that would satisfy their goals. Other will sell their Bitcoin when they start to see prices falling below their targeted goal.

One thing for sure, is that 2017 has brought us many exciting things for crypto land. Bitcoin and rest of altcoins in existence have risen in value exponentially over the course of the year. Now that 2018 is in its very beginnings, I would like to know what will you do with your Bitcoin (either hodl, buy more, or sell) and will the pioneer cryptocurrency rise further in price?

Whenever you just hodl your coins over the course of 2018 or sell them, Bitcoin will make many more millionaires. What are your thoughts?  :)

indeed, the year 2017 is so interesting to me, bitcoin prices are down, the amount of altcoin prices also decreased, some hardfork also some are canceled.

maybe in the future I will continue to hold bitcoin, in this December, I was the first time doing bitcoin trading, because of the many issues that bitcoin prices will go down. thus making the year 2017 especially this December many sell their bitcoin.

so how in the future I will keep the bitcoin that I bought in the month of December, little profitable for me. but I will continue to see the development of bitcoin prices if the time of bitcoin prices declines again.

indeed in 2017 bitcoin has generated many millionaires. Maybe if I have some bitcoin I will sell it a bit and the rest I will save for the future.

I will hodl. I might buy some more bitcoin if the price ever drops below $10k. If bitcoin ever reaches $100k, I will start to think about selling it.

I am going to do the same, by next year i want to leave my country and start building some flats/houses on another country.

I have some investments here in my local country + the money from cryptos, i think that i can really start a new bussiness in a 1st world country.

Probably i will do that, i am still trying to get the VISAs in order to make it done.

Bitcoin has just started to grow on a large scale, it's much better to hold it as the profits that can be earned by selling it is very high. People like me who do hold bitcoin spend a part of savings in btc for trading and the other half foreign pure savings.

2017 is over, and it's time we make a change in the crypto world to get better. I have great expectations in 2018. have more bitcoin, and buy what I need. in 2018, I will hold more bitcoin for the future.

The same as in 2017. Hold the most of them. Taking a small part to invest in other altcoins and in some Initial Coin Offerings. I would just payout when it rises many times, so which means for me when its worth more than hunterthousand bucks!

Many are realizing bitcoin shortcomings. Slow transactions and high feel should be soon fixed by the Lightening network. However, bitcoin is missing crucial functions that are starting to get the public attention such as privacy and anonymity. Lately, bitcoin lost a huge market share to altcoins, this indicates that within the next 2 years, a new star will shine.
As the main trading currency for other altcoins, bitcoin will remain the leader for a while longer until another coin becomes widely accepted, will take over bitcoin. It'll slow down but I don't think bitcoin will be totally abandoned.

I suggest to look into altcoins for long term investment, especially the ones that provide true anonymity. As governments want to have a piece of the bitcoin pie, by inspecting public bitcoin transactions, to tax traders, anonymity will be a must have feature. New cryptos are added that support anonymity and this is the right time to invest when the price is still low.

Indeed 2018 will be more exciting. For me I will hold my bitcoin and save more as investment I know that this year will be a opportunity for the bitcoin to increase again its price. And many more investors will come

as usual, i will collect some altcoin, then i will convert to bitcoin, and hold until i get bigger profit. and that is the easy way.

I do believe that its market value will be more expensive this year so the only thing that I am planning is to just hold and not to sell. So basically I don't have any ppans of selling it within this year. The reason is that, since the market value of Bitcoin for a long run is growing, so surely,benefit will be earned once its market value becomes more expensive in the future for holders.

I think a price correction is to happen in 2018 and we won't see the current price until either late in the year or early 2019. I'm just going to continue watching the price and waiting for the correction to invest more into Bitcoin and then hold for it too rise again.

There is a prediction that the price of bitcoin this coming 2018 will be a huge rise. Well, people will gonna invest and save for sure until the climax reached and for sure that time will be the exchange time to the their prefer currency. Yes it will become more valuable since they will tend to buy for sure or save it for the future events or upcoming update for the price of it. Another reason might be countries that will open their system to allow bitcoin to be used as payment in transactions.

I am expecting decrease on BTC value on January. After mid of February it will start increase again and it might be reach up max 20K again before summer. I transfered some of my Bitcoins to USDT an Etherium.

Bitcoin saw a rise of 1205% just through 2017, things are look more promising than ever, one thing that i've learned and which i will keep doing is to HODL. And i hope things keep getting better for all the cryptocurrencies especially the bitcoin.

I hope in 2018, we can reach our goals and I think it will be more valuable so we can work to reach more profits and we can have much of earnings. I think many people right now working hard to reach their goals and they are sure that in 2018, they can see their bitcoin grow because the price will increase more. and now, we are in 2018 with a new hope that we could do better than last year and we can fill our goals.

Well, I am pretty much inclined with bitcoin so I guess I would not resign from using it. I will invest and buy more bitcoins because I know it will skyrocket again after the holidays. In my opinion, bitcoin will become more valuable this year but I think it will be on mid-year. It will regain its 20000-dollar price first and I hope it would rise.

The year 2017 is the beginning, I am sure that the years that follow from 2019 to 2022 will see a rise in the price to levels of more than 30,000 dollars, then we will say that the price at the year 2017 was very cheap.

I will definitely hold them for atleast one more year because most probably its value will increase in future as its use and popularity is increasing.

Whether I will keep my bitcoins or not, depends on how successfully bitcoin will cope in the near future with its problems. I, in principle, do not like the fact that bitcoin has more than one hundred and fifty thousand hung transactions, the commission fees for transactions grow, and the bitcoin development team remains silent for a long time and is idle. Now all the hope for a payment provider is Bitrefill, which can introduce a lightning network into bitcoin to solve all its problems. Bitcoin price going slow down in the end of 2017, I think bitcoin will back to its price what we want. I will hold bitcoin for bitcoin higher price because we know that bitcoin have huge value. Bitcoiner should hold their bitcoin in January because now its price is low.

Holding some coins and selling the rest as per need is the route many would take. But if you are not in need, it is wiser to hold longer given the current trend. Bitcoin is only looking up and that will be the trend for the time being.

For bitcoin, 2018 will be decisive in the sense that already this year the states should decide how to treat it and because it has grown in its value to record heights, what to do with it. Since the cost of bitcoin will continue to grow, and to grow very actively, some states may even attempt to limit its circulation in the country in order to reduce its destabilizing influence on its economy.

The chart price of Bitcoin from jan to dec 2017 is increased by $700 to $13000 , so it is clear that in 2018 new magic price is waiting for investors.

I've been keeping some of my bitcoin since December 2017 and since then the price of bitcoin continue to drop so now I am planning to sell all my bitcoin and probably won't hold anything because of too much losses I incurred for holding. Maybe bitcoin investment same as holding is not a way for me to earn rather I should convert every coin I earn and put them in my bank account or invest to other kind of business something out of cryptos

Agree. Bitcoin's growth during the past year is only the beginning. I believe that it may continue to rise in value over time as more people join it. This year, Bitcoin has started to slowly gain momentum, but it may speed up as more improvements come into the Bitcoin protocol such as The Lightning Network. Given the fact that Bitcoin is viewed among many people as a digital store of value, I’d say it's best to hodl onto our Bitcoins for the long-term.

The volatility in Bitcoin's price, make it a great way to make huge profits if you know how devise a strategy to gain advantage over the situation. Thus, the more valuable Bitcoin becomes, the more spending power it will leave us to buy virtually anything in the world. Just my opinion. :)


Yes. Many Bitcoiners prefer to hodl onto their coins into the long-term instead of selling them. It would be a wise choice to hodl most of your coins into paper wallets or hardware wallets, while you only spend a very minimal amount of coins to contribute to the Bitcoin economy. The pioneer cryptocurrency has a bright future ahead of it and I believe that 2018 will bring many surprises towards its growth and long-term stability. Just my thoughts ;D

I havent maximized my time investing btc last 2017. So this year i will spend more time to study and maybe if the price continue to increse. I should hold and buy some more if it falls.

Definitely I will buy-long since the price of bitcoin will definitely increase after the big dump last December 2017 due to the holidays and festivities.

I'm still holding some of then maybe around 30% as a sort of investment then the rest will be consumed for my personal expenses. I am positive that bitcoin will continue to grow and appreciate and I think it can really double in value this year. I am excited for 2018 and hoping for the best for crypto currency market

recently, there is some good news in the market which supports to the development of Bitcoin. Founder fund of Peter Thiel has received a big profit when investing about $20 million in Bitcoin. The investors have come back and bought Bitcoin again.

Now i have not much bitcoin in my wallet. It is just small amount of money there.
But i will just hold it and waiting the price double till the end of 2018.

This new year and for the rest of the coming months, i will hold

I'll sell some of it, because the market can't go up forever. In addition, I think bitcoin is not the whole of life, investing it is just a hobby of mine. I will use the profit to do what I like to do.

For me, BTC will recover all its losses and reach its ATH in 2018 again. And once you solve its network problems, it will become unstoppable

im gonna hold my bitcoin untill i need money but i will not sell all of it because i'm pretty the price of bitcoin will increase again the future.

In 2018 i think is good to hold in long term so i will buy more..cause there's a possibility that the valued will exceed than 2017. As usual to avoid loses, if bitcoin drop below my target i will sell then if bitcoin continue to grow i will hold thats it. Cause even though we know that this 2018 will be more valuable than 2017 there will always a volatility after all.  Maybe we need to monitor the price everytime in this year.

Same as 2017, I’m on holding bitcoin and buying some in times with extra money for that. Selling only 15% if necessary for some trading and new alternative coins investment that are promising and have the best vision on having sucess. The price of bitcoin is totally fine for me at 15000$ at this moment because I’m not fun of daily trading but long time holding.

Yes Bitcoin will be more valuable in 2018 as its price will shoot up but some great surges will also keep some serious investor in tension but overall Bitcoin will never stop its journey towards moon.In 2017 Bitcoin made thousands of millionaires and now those will billionaires in 2018-2019 if they hold the Bitcoin.

I have been planning to store my bitcoins for a few years because i am looking at it as a long term investment. Though lately, bitcoin value have been experiencing some dip but i am looking forward to the time that it will rise up soon. Since day one, bitcoin has always been valuable and now that it had become the foundation of digital currency, it has become more valuebale despite the current dip it is experiencing.

Well bitcoin prices should stabilize for some time as it has definitely scared a lot of people as it was on news a lot! But eventually I think it will start rising again just like in 2017 and end on  strong holiday note at the end of the year. This should continue for another couple of years before it is either too powerful to kill or too firnedly to ignore! Either way it is going to stabilize eventually by 2020 or 2021 and then it will be opportunity for someone else to rise to the occasion to eventually replace bitcoin in the future :P

Yes its more valuable for me in this 2018..Buying some alternative coins and invest in any investments...And hold some bitcoins until the price reached higher price in 2018 then sell..

I'd probably still hold my bitcoin until it grows more. Unless of course if I would need to use it for something more valuable then I'd probably would or even withdraw it to cash. It is a good thing that we have our bitcoin in our respective wallets. Now, if we don't have anything useful to spend it with, then I would suggest to leave it be.

This is the one of best idea of holding your bitcoins because it will give you more profit if you hold your coins for the long time period, in this way you can earn more profit on your invested money because bitcoin’s price will increase itself and in this way, a bitcoin holder gets benefit from it and earns profit on his/her invested money. I have come across few articles in the last few days which said that bitcoin is going to reach thirty thousand dollars by the end of this year. By keeping the volatile nature of bitcoin in mind and the way it is grabbing attention of investors from all over the world, it is not impossible to happen. I think that time proved me right when I decided to sell part of my bitcoins between $16,000 and $19,000. Now that the price is close to $10,000, I can buy again, and for now my plans are to hold half of my bitcoins, and use the other half for trading, taking advantage of the fact that the price has remained in a fairly regular range.

Wise decision, mate. This year has been quite slow for Bitcoin in terms of price movement, but now that it has become much cheaper than last year's all-time high, we can take advantage of this to stack up more Bitcoins for the future. As 2018 is just beginning, I have the feeling that something exciting will happen for Bitcoin in the following months.

It is just a matter of patience, to be able to achieve great results with our investments in Bitcoin. While most users have been hodling Bitcoin, it is often nice to spend some coins to help contribute to the crypto economy. I still have some Bitcoin but it is not 1 whole Bitcoin, I will just keep it to grow because i know it will become more valuable. Last year Bitcoin made history and i hope within q3 or q4 this year Bitcoin will rise back and grow more exceeding the 20kUSD and while waiting for my Bitcoin to grow i will focus in my work and trading alt coins so that i will not be bothered in Bitcoins price up and down movement.

how do you know that it will still be valuable? keep in mind that last year is totally the same as this year and  bitcoin is not yet expected to grow or increase just because we are now on the year 2018. i also have a bitcoin but im not reallly depending on it as i also have a real job offline and if ever bitcoin cannot recover anymore i still have a chance to earn an income to support my family and needs but overall i still continue to hold my bitcoins no matter what will happen next.

      good for you then. because you are doing both online and offline jobs. and do not rely only on cryptos. most of the people i have seen decides to quit their jobs just because they saw great opportunities on bitcoins or on the whole crypto world as a whole. it is good that people are getting more involved with crypto currencies, but that bad thing about doing cryptos alone is that unlike a real job, cryptos are something you can never predict. you may be counting thousands or even millions for now on your portfolio but when the time comes that the prices drop, you sure won't have that much to spend. and would waste a great coin just because you do not have a physical work that you can get funds from when emergencies in real life comes. i hope more people will see the way you do and not look at cryptos as just a source of income but something more.

This year I will continue to keep my bitcoin as I did before, and I will continue to increase the number of my bitcoins due to their regular purchase. I really think that you need to wait for a really good price, in order to sell it.

I plan to store my bitcoin regardless of the situation on the market. I do not prefer to trade coins on the exchange, because I consider this a very risky undertaking, threatening the loss of all funds or going into minus. My bitkoin will be in absolute calm kept in a purse until better times.

I originally invested bitcoin in a long time, and so far I'm not going to change my plan of action. This is the most lucrative option of action. Trading on the stock exchange is very risky, and this only makes sense if you really understand bitcoin and the market as a whole.

Well, I think that high amount will be reach but not in 2018, maybe in 2 years or 4 years. But if bitcoin will be more popular worldwide then there maybe a chance that btc will reach that high amount.

at least, in this year, we can see the bitcoin price will increase higher than the last year and I think maybe it could reach $25k but it is only my prediction. many people make their own prediction and without knowing what will happen later so I think we can wait and still to try to make a profit from bitcoin.

Thank you for your reply! What a shame I have lost access to my old wallet with few bitcoins in it. I had to start over and... the price of Bitcoin started to surge. I was surprised and decided to register on this forum. Can we really call ourselves early adopters? I don't neglect that we started to use Bitcoin before many people knew about it but what about people from 2009 to 2011? I wish I could go back in time and show myself Bitcoin (not only because of potential profit but also because I would have a lot of time to study how it works or even talk to satoshi).

But now, we're seeing that it's been recovering in price, adding the possibility of Bitcoin to become more valuable in the future. These factors would greatly contribute towards Bitcoin's value increase in the future as we become early adopters of the cryptocurrency.

Imagine when Bitcoin hits $25k or even $50k and beyond. actually, I don't do anything with my bitcoin except still doing trading to increase my bitcoin amount. sometimes I can make a profit but the other time, I get lost but it's fine for me. Well 2017 was not bad year for bitcoin as it made a lot of profit for people till the end of 2017. Even now people are really missing that time, the only thing we can do with the bitcoin is to trust it and save it for the long time. In 2018 price of bitcoin is going to become very high and will become more than double. Some people are saying bitcoin will reach more than 20k this month so yes price of bitcoin will be high with time, and I am going to hold my bitcoin in 2018.

My goal with BTC for this year 2018 is to sell at least 20-30% of what I earned on every uptrend in BTC price, and buy more than my usual purchase during dips. The rest of my BTC is for long term, and I will just keep it in cold storage for about 5-10 years or until BTC has been fully developed and adopted among the majority of people across countries.

I personally i strongly believe that the long-term prospect of bitcoin prices remains good and quite promising. My target in 2017 has been reached. Now I start buying back coins to invest in order to reach my goal by 2018. To be honest, though can't be a millionaire, but someone who invests their money into crypto at least they will not have any financial trouble. Whether it's for the long term or short term as long as we are able to be patient in waiting for the right price, I'm sure we'll get a huge profit. Establishing a set price can be a mistake, many people in the last year set a price of when they wanted to sell and then bitcoin surpassed all the expectations we all had for bitcoin for that year so the best bet is to follow the trend, if bitcoin goes up a lot more then keep holding and only sell when it seems the price may crash or when your skills in trading tells you bitcoin is overbought and that it could begin to crash at any moment.

2017 was a very fruitful year for a lot of Bitcoiners. However given the stability of Bitcoin it is very hard to project plans that's too far ahead. For me I would check the trends every now and then to keep up with the rise and dips of the price. If it dips, I will try to get more and if it rises I will sell. I see no use in hoarding it anyway. Being too clingy might have negative impact suppose the price dips for good. Better safe than sorry.

It is always a mistake, and one thing that I have always done to be safe in the long term is to follow trend and sell out when a trend is obviously changing.

A trend can never change overnight, it is a gradual process as the market will try to hit resistances, try different support and all that as it keeps going down, but there are indicators to always help with that. I believe with this highly fluctuating market, traders with knowledge have the best advantage than holders, but it requires a lot.

Probably hold on to it until i see a continuous drop that might suggest it's downfall, then I might sell. Well, everyone have their own strategy and while some believe in just holding forever, some absolutely believe that it would always be good for them when they do the short term thingy or long term thingy depending on how they follow the trend. Well holding forever is not really an option for many of us, I think that at best some whales will be able to do something like that, the rest of us have a goal we want to achieve with bitcoin and once we get it then I will sell a good portion of my small holdings, I think that is natural I know that I could obtain more profits if I held for longer but I do not think I'm going to be able to hold for twenty or thirty years.

But as well as you do, I'm holding lots of Bitcoin as I believe that something huge will happen this year which will lead to a massive price increase for Bitcoin. Perhaps, this year might end at $25,000 per coin, but since Bitcoin is volatile we'll never know what it's value would be in the long term.

I'm planning on hodling it for long, but the profits I'd get whenever btc would pump, I'll use it for investing in some other potential altcoins. I'll hodl the altcoins for like a month and at least gain 5% profit on my initial investment in that altcoin and wait for btc to dump then invest in btc agian.

Biotcoin has always been valuable ever since it's creation until now it is more valuable and it will become more valuable as the years goes by and adoption goes fast pace, I will of course keep holding my Bitcoin and will only sell a small portion of it and buy profitable altcoins to keep up my portfolio.

I could have taken out my own initial investment a long time ago, but never felt I have to do so. And right now when I look back and see today's price, this was the right decision. But main reason was that it wasn't money I needed.

I have the feeling that this year would be better for Bitcoin as it starts adopting the Lightning Network for payments in the mainstream world.

Once Bitcoin becomes practical to use with its cheap fees and fast transaction settlements, it will increase in price for sure. If by the end of the year, Lightning Network becomes widely used in the Bitcoin network, then I expect for the price to rise within $25,000 and beyond. Guys, never use ATH as a potential benchmark for the coin - it is totally unreliable and faulty way to determine price, potential and worth of cryptocurrency.
It reminds me the time after that first mega ATH in 2013 when Bitcoin price spiked to ~$1200 - do you remember when bitcoin reached that stable price of $1200 after 2013 ATH?
All we need to know that price is higher that one year ago and most likely will continue to grow even higher. Don't let the FUD take over your mind.

I am not so sure that we are going to see higher prices by the end of this year, it's quite likely that we are going to remain something close to the current range in which bitcoin is trading, unless something really important happens, despite all of that you should still keep holding in order to avoid losses, remember you do not really lose money until you sell.

I think most of us would hodl onto our Bitcoin over the long term, since it has the potential to further increase in value by then. This year has been off to a slow start, but the path is open for greater growth once Bitcoin and the whole cryptocurrency ecosystem improves to handle large TPS. With Bitcoin's Lightning Network, transactions would be blazing fast and dirt cheap while altcoins which adopt the Lightning Network, would be able to perform cross-chain atomic swaps within Bitcoin.

Therefore, I believe that by the end of this year, we would be able to experience a higher price for Bitcoin as well as altcoins in the cryptocurrency market. Since altcoins rise when Bitcoin's value rises, then you could reap in the rewards if you've manage to invest in them. Personally, I prefer Bitcoin over most altcoins, but there are good altcoins which have a lot of potential of increasing in value within the future. Both EOS and Ethereum are alts which have such potential. But, Bitcoin will keep going up until it's the most valuable asset in the world. :)

The price of bitcoin will surely increase but unfortunately no one knows exactly when that is going to happen, that is why it's important to remain consistent like what you are doing, I know that it can be very hard especially when the price crashed so rapidly at the beginning of the year, but if we want to avoid losing money and even better if we want to earn money we have no other option but to hold our coins no matter what.

Having a plan is way better than having no plan, even if at the moment you cannot create a very detailed strategy about what you are going to do with your bitcoin at least create something even if it's not more complicated than I'm going to hold my bitcoin for a few years, no one that becomes very successful does it by chance.

I might be using my bitcoin before 2018 ends. I have been saving up since then but this time is kinda harder to save but I still hope that eventually it rises back again because I have some problem regarding for health. I do not like to do some complex strategies to try to obtain more money from the market I prefer to keep it simple and this means that I'm holding my coins no matter what, I do not have enough bitcoin to become a millionaire anytime soon, but I have enough bitcoin that if it reaches a high price my life could be improved significantly and since I believe completely on bitcoin I have no doubt that is going to happen and I'm willing to wait whatever amount of time is necessary for that to happen.

That might happen for sure within a couple of months or even years from now. While this year has certainly been a hard one for Bitcoin and most cryptocurrencies out there, I believe that between the end of the year and the beginning of next year, we will see positive results in Bitcoin's price movement. Of course, there's no doubt that whales have been manipulating the market all this time, and that there are a lot of FUDs surrounding newcomers into crypto, but in the end, Bitcoin will shine no matter what happens in the mainstream world. One thing for sure, is that Bitcoin was designed as a deflationary currency, where it gets scarcer the more time passes by.

Therefore, at some point in the future, we could expect to see greater price levels than the ones we've experienced last year, making many hodlers wealthy. No matter what happens, I believe that there will always be demand for Bitcoin since its decentralized and immune to manipulation from external entities. Right now, Bitcoin is only beginning to make trends in the mainstream world, but it has a long way to go before it becomes a widely robust cryptocurrency for the masses. In a couple of years from now, Bitcoin would've increased in value, leaving it with a market cap of $1 Trillion and above. And many bitcoiners would agree with me here. ::)

Soon the bear market will end, and new investors will start flowing money into Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. While many thinks that the current downturn in Bitcoin's price is negative, I think that it's all the contrary since it brings a huge opportunity for investors to reserve their cheap coins for the future. And while this year has been quite slow in terms of positive price movement for Bitcoin, the next one will be the most exciting yet. This is, without mentioning the upcoming improvements for the cryptocurrency, which focuses specifically in scalability.

Therefore, will Bitcoin become more valuable? Yes, but maybe not during this year. We might have to wait until next year, or a couple of years ahead, to be able to see positive results in our Bitcoin investments. ;)

I think the better for this year is to sell it and do daily trading. the current price in my opinion is not so friendly with the increasingly compared to last year. and the current market situation I feel like a small wave, therefore it is better to trade daily for now. with daily trading, we can still earn revenue. by doing the right speculation and having a strategy that sells when the price goes up and buys again when the price falls. while waiting for the end of the year, it might be better we also do daily trading. because I believe by the end of the year bitcoin prices will get better like last year.

This year more than 60-65 percent of the highest price of the bitcoin decrease. Because today price is 6600 dollars from highest price which is 20k dollars to that price today. Im expecting before end of this year 2018 the price probably will reach again more than 20k dollars or upto 50k dollars and I hope that really happen to earn more money after few months only.

Yes. You're better off making money with Bitcoin by doing daily trades due to the extremely volatility it has been experiencing lately. Since Bitcoin's prices are going up and down, you could take advantage of such opportunity to make profit. That profit would be contained in a stable cryptocurrency pegged to fiat like Tether or by simply cashing out in the fiat currency of your choice to prevent risk of loss when Bitcoin's price falls to the bottom. Despite this, it's often good to buy Bitcoin while its cheap, and leave a small amount in your wallet to profit in the future when prices start to skyrocket.

Bitcoin could become a highly valuable cryptocurrency in the long term, as demand grows for it. Maybe, by the end of this year, we might see a boost in its price. I doubt whether Bitcoin will become valuable in 2018 and after that seeing the current market situation of Bitcoin price. I have planned something for this Christmas but I think I cannot fulfill that with Bitcoin price as of now, if the price increases before this year end like last year I may fulfill my dream. Despite the situation Bitcoin has been going on lately, I have learned one thing from all my years of experience in the cryptocurrency market. Such thing is patience, and it's required for you to become successful in your investment. A similar pattern in price movements was experienced with the downfall of Mt. Gox exchange, but a few years later, Bitcoin rose to unprecedented levels in price. Of course, many people would become desperate when they see their investments head down the drain, but with patience, they'll be able to experience great results in the long term.

I have no worries about Bitcoin's current price movements, as I'm confident that it'll become much more valuable in the future. There are several factors that helps this become a reality such as limited supply, halving of block reward, layer-two scaling such as Lightning Network, and more. Thus, the more Bitcoin improves in its technical aspect, and the more demand it experiences, it'll surely rise in values you've never thought possible. Plans with bitcoin for the ongoing year were planned upon the market situation. Right now the market has recovered slightly from the drastic price fall. I prefer holding it for a while as price is expected to grow much higher in the falling days of the year. Even now it is more valuable than many other assets. Exactly. The market has been slowly recovering these days, so it's just a matter of time before Bitcoin becomes valued at $10k and above. I've seen recent predictions which state that Bitcoin will be worth $25,000 by the end of the year. If the bear market ends soon, then it will certainly reach the indicated price levels above. However, if it doesn't, then it might take quite some time before it could rise beyond its latest ATH.

I believe that many Bitcoin holders are patiently waiting for the right moment to come, to sell their coins for profit. While it's certain that Bitcoin will become valuable over time due to its scarcity, we might never know when exactly that will take place as it's an unpredictable cryptocurrency. There's no doubt in that my good friend! Bitcoin is a volatile cryptocurrency, hence it's normal to see prices change in a matter of seconds. It could be worth a ton of money or become worthless due to such factor. But, given that Satoshi designed Bitcoin to be limited in supply, there's a huge probability for the cryptocurrency to rise in value over time. Maybe, we're not comfortable with Bitcoin's depreciation in value over the past months, but at least it's useful as a cryptocurrency for making worldwide payments without middleman.

All in all, scalability improvements will allow Bitcoin to expand its uses in the real world. Enabling micropayments and cheap transactions are the way of the future, allowing the cryptocurrency to reach a never before seen All-time-high as time goes by. In my case, I'm doing the same as you, buying as much Bitcoin as I can, and not selling it, since I'm very confident that it will become valuable within a couple of years from now. Well, $50K sounds quite optimistic, but considering how slow Bitcoin has been in rising back up to its recent ATH, such goal looks very distant to me. With just 5 months remaining for 2018 to end, I believe that Bitcoin may reach $25k by the end of the year. Prices can increase at a faster rate, if scalable solutions like the Lightning Network, come into effect soon. This would result in greater demand for Bitcoin as it becomes cheaper and faster than ever before.

With all the recent attention towards Bitcoin and blockchain technology, I believe that not only this year will become bright for Bitcoin, but the upcoming years too. In the future, it'll become much more valuable than what it is right now, so it would be wise for you to buy Bitcoin at current prices before it's too late. Actuall when the year of 2018 came bitcoin price decreased more than 50 percent as of now. But tgis week the market up again and possible the 50 percent dump will recover from the year 2017 and maybe it will be better in the year 2017 to thid year 2018.

If the rising price of bitcoin reached my target then I will sell some of them and I will hold the remaining for trading purposes. Bitcoin price have been going up and maybe due to some speculation that bitcoin ETF may get approval by SEC this coming August. Some minor corrections may happen but the trend is still going up.

I believe that the price of bitcoins this year will increase up to $20k dollars again or even surpass the price because there are new countries that are legalized to invest on bitcoins.

Come what may. I have a little portion of bitcoin only which is coming from the alt coins i trade. I just have the confidence to hold it no matter what will be the result of its status this coming end of the year. Me too. Whenever I see Bitcoin's price rise past my initial investment, I sell it for profit. Sometimes, waiting for Bitcoin to reach above $20,000 takes too long for us to profit. Which is why it is best to accumulate Bitcoin while its prices are cheap to sell at a higher price later. Maybe this year, we would see Bitcoin become worth $10,000 per coin, but not $20,000 or $25,000 because of the current market trend.

I think that in a few years from now, Bitcoin will become valuable that will make many early adopters rich. And since that's my goal, I want to buy and hold Bitcoin for a very long time. ;)

Not bad, my friend. I've seen Bitcoin prices become cheaper each day, which makes me want to "hodl" my coins more than anything else. Because, if I sell, then I'll miss a huge opportunity to become rich in the future. What I'll do would be to sell only a portion of my BTC when prices rise and keep the rest for the long term.

This year has been very bad for the overall performance of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies on the market. Everyone got excited last year and thought that BTC was going to keep rising to the moon. But, that was not the case, as governments quickly interfered to prevent Bitcoin from becoming a powerful cryptocurrency around the world. My hopes are still high, as I think that within a few more years, Bitcoin will rise in value once more if people become interested in it again. Then the cycle will repeat itself, since after all, Bitcoin is a very volatile cryptocurrency. :(

With prices on a downfall this year, I'm afraid that many Bitcoiners would simply "hodl" their coins no matter what. It's been a year full of disappointments for many, especially after a long bull market last year. What I've noticed, is that right after Bitcoin futures were brought to investors, prices have started to fall this year. Consequently, uncertainty and regulations imposed by governments around the world, had a negative effect on Bitcoin's price.

Therefore, unless something new and exciting comes to the crypto space that would attract serious investors into it, Bitcoin will continue in a downfall. I'm hoping that with the successful adoption of the Lightning Network, Bitcoin's fees would be reduced to a minimum, and transaction speeds would become instant, to bring back the attention from people in the mainstream world. Only this way, we might be able to see positive results over Bitcoin's price, as well as other altcoins in the market. This could be next year, or a couple of years from now, but the most important thing is that you "hodl" onto your coins until you see a higher price than what you've initially invested. ;)

Exactly what I am talking about that we should not sell on price lower than cost price that is a clear loss if we sell it. Selling should be made in high market on high price so that the selling price may greater than the cost price and when you reach out at higher market price then that can be maximum price. We should leave the mentality of getting little profit by selling in low market that is not letting the value of Bitcoin to go high.

It always depend on the contentment of the person who hold bitcoin. If its think that price is enough for them so they will sell it. If they think that its worthless to sell in this kind of bitcoin amount at this moment then will hold it. Its always depends how much or needed of a person. And I do not think that you can rich immediately when the price of bitcoin become more valuable.

Exactly. It will depend if the person has met with his/her price target, to either sell or buy more Bitcoins for the long term. People who got in last year when Bitcoin was in its ATH, have lost a lot of money and are waiting for the next surge in BTC's price. However, newcomers into Bitcoin will see this as an opportunity to make a lot of money in the future. Compared with last year's ATH, Bitcoin is much cheaper nowadays which could experience a lot of demand in the upcoming months.

If you compare the price of a Bitcoin against previous years, you'll notice that Bitcoin is still higher than what it was since its very beginnings. Therefore, Bitcoin is set to rise in value over time probably because of the scarcity in supply, and resiliency against hacks or attacks on the network. Just my opinion :)

Not a bad move, mate. I've been doing nearly the same with my Bitcoin and other altcoins, as I'm confident that everything will rise like skyrocket just like last year. Many people are depressed with the current downtrend in the cryptocurrency market, simply because they've invested when Bitcoin and other altcoins were in their ATH. However, if they had bought Bitcoin while it was low, and sold high, then they would've secured their profit to buy more coins when they become cheap (like what it's happening right now).

Given that Bitcoin has stalled within the $6,400 - $6,700 valuation, it'll be hard to say if it's going to rise in the remaining months of this year. Perhaps, this is the perfect opportunity to get into Bitcoin while its cheap, as we may never see the current prices ever again. Once Bitcoin ETFs are approved, the halving event occurs, and the Lightning Network goes full steam ahead, then Bitcoin would probably become much more valuable than what it is right now.

I'd say that within the next year or so, Bitcoin will rise again reaching $10k and beyond. However, it will all depend on the level of demand it’s going to receive from people in the mainstream world. Just my thoughts ;D
