I looked at my pc screen 247, 20 hours out of the 24 hours in a day. I am familiar with all the trading signs like hammer,  inverted hammer, doji. But even with these I still lost while trading. Most times, I decided not to trade without news from a particular project but even with a huge news like partnership, burning folks, I end up still losing.
What's really the cause? And how can I trade without losing much?

if you're a begginer this is normal , you have to gain experience through losing .. to improve your strategy , don't overtrade, follow the trend and have patience

Even the pros can lose on a trade, but they make it a point not too lose so much by strictly following stop loss plans.

Despite your knowledge on trading, have you been applying techniques of testing on better coins to trade in at that particular point in time? You may endeavor using the coin market cap, this avail you that opportunity to check where the particular coin is been ranked. Is it among the first 20? And stuff like that. I had similar fate my friend, I was constantly losing money with my trades. So I stopped and I applied different strategy, mid or long term trading. I am very successful if I can say, and I could do better too. Take a look on my posts, I bought a lot of iotas under 50¢, then I sold it at 1.7$, what a mistake that was, it went over 4$, I waited 4 months for that rise, and I couldn't be patient for a day or to and sell at 4$. Then ripple, I was buying at 25¢ and sold over 3$. My biggest mistake was litecoin, I sold long ago before 100$ and later 300$. I was talking a lot here that this coin will rise in price and they did. Now I bought ripples again under a dollar, iota I'm thinking to buy again, litecoin definitely yes under 200$. Stellar, cardano under 1$ great buy, and many more coins and tokens.
Don't hurry to make money, take it easy, pick a good, undervalued coin buy when ever you have a chance, if it drops buy more and wait your golden chance.

Just in one statement is to trade with caution and or with extra ordinary patience.. It is on this forum that I actualize that fact saying It is only a patient but wise man that can break the rock and get to eat the golden egg laid on it. From experience equally, I have for once sold my dodge coins just a bit higher than the purchased value during its bear market, not to later discovered it had raised up to 400% of that value just in two years later, where I recorded regret .  So, my simple submission is that after due Market watch and research, trade and be Patience.

The market cap is it really important? Because a friend of mine were saying I should always consider the usecase of any project before buying a particular coin.   But even with that  after much research about the project and I decided to buy, at last still sold at lost.

I think I will be using this method. Day trading is not really working out for me as I lost much than I invested.

DYOR is the best method to crypto world.Don't trust news anytime. Select a few low supply coins and research.It will give you good benefit :)

it is impossible to trade without losing anything. trading has a certain level of unpredictability that makes it hard to always make profit. even big players lose at some point. the important thing is that your total is not loss meaning at the end of the day you should have made profit.

also all these "trading signs" you mentioned are good but when it comes to altcoins and somewhat even bitcoin, they are not as useful as you may think because the market is small and that makes it more unpredictable. and in altcoins there is mostly pump and dump instead of real rise and falls.

Trading is just like gambling someone loose and someone win. If no one loose than how someone will win?. Always check all charts and buy on best entry level.
Check both fundamentals and technical analysis. Sell in profit don't be too much greedy. 

You need to learn more from your mistake, try to figure how you trade in the past and what makes you get loss. Don't trust to anyone else, they only trying to pom pom, to make the price pumped. Believe in your self, see the market cap, market depth, chart, trends and volume. It all related and you have to know them clearly.

Anyway losing as a beginner is not a sin, you have to loss to learn more. I have one tips for you, buy when the price go very deep then wait after the price goes up then sell, don't be greedy, pick your daily target.

To trade without loosing, you have to,1. Gather the knowledge and skills needed for the business probably from  books,seminars and training of those who have been successful about it.
2. Start little - with that you will be able to study it yourself before expanding.
3. You have to study the environment, be sure the trade meets up the need of the people around , also know that calibar of people - be it rich, average or the poor. With the poor you trade more on credit.

Losing in trading is when you sell with cheaper price than when you bought. Means that trading without losing is when you are not selling with cheaper price, even though the price drop significantly but if you still holding it then it is not a lose.

I think I lose maybe 1% of trades now. The key is to being safe is find opportunities that you can almost hardly believe are true deals. Scoop them up. In crypto world we see crazy price swings daily that dont reflect value I think.

That said, my day trading skills vs. hodling skills are two different things.

When I day trade I know 0 about a project, I'm just looking at the chart. Hodling coins for profits is more of an investment strategy which requires studying the market/project/market caps all that .

That said, for daytrading you just need to practice. Don't go in huge and only buy when you think coins are at a discount or too good to be true I suppose.

Initially there will always be loses. Keep trying different trading strategies and take it slow. You learn from the loses various ways of setting the price and reading the market movement. Take opportunity in good dips and take help from coinmarketcap to study the coin price history of atleast 1 week . It will help.

Yes i agreed with you that always updating the news or events regarding the crypto currencies to reduced you possible loss, focus on the high quality coins just like bitcoin other top 5 altcoins those already trusted and well known coins from the market and hold it for a long term. Long term holding is lower risk compared to short term, if you see that you have already your profit then that's the time you sell of it.

In trading losing is always present when trading an altcoin. Strategies can contributes to enhance your performance in trading the way on how you do trading. Always learned from mistakes because it will definitely help you to be successful in trading.

Two basic things are against you, OP. Even the best of traders would lose under the same conditions. The first is Your Emotion should be out under check. Devoid yourself of emotions whenever you are trading. Second, learn to read and follow The News. It isn't enough just to base your trades on TA (Technical Analysis). Always add news to your TA. It aids trades.

Maybe you have been putting too much time into this (you said 24-7) and thus your brain is not functioning correctly. Maybe you need to give it a rest and then come back to crypto with a fresh mind a few days later.

This can sometimes help newbies who are losing too much in trading. Also depending on what type of crypto you are trading you have to decide whether you are going to hodl it or you are going to day-trade it. For day trading I cant tell you anything because I am more of a Hodler. From what you say you seem to be a day-trader and I suggest you to try hodling for a change.

To become a hodler you should stockpile coins worth hodling everytime they drop and sell some at times to cut losses.

Trading without losing is like a perfection in trading history. It is impossible you do trading without losing I don't know anyone trading had a perfect goals. The market is very volatile we might tend to lose and we might win the game. In order for us to win without losing we should always learned the market struggles because this way we can cope up to be a good trader.

I do not think that anyone able to trade without loses. If your profits are more that your loses, than accept it and research if you can minimize your loses.

I think it's really hard to trade without loss and that's impossible. No matter how good you are, you can not guarantee 100% winning percentage. So we can only minimize the risk, not risk. To minimize the risk, you need to practice good charting skills and always observe the market movements so that you can synthesize and have specific plans for each project.

Neither candle analysis, nor Fibonacci will tell where the price will be in an hour.

If you want to trade, better surround your self with people who trade as well if you can do it literally much better but following another trader who makes a lot of money in trading will not hurt you. I follow a lot of traders in twitter, traders that posts technical analysis, graphs, charts with explanation. However, it doesn't give you a guarantee that when you trade you will not lose. It gives you insight of how they think. At the end of the day, its still you who will decide when to buy and sell.

Actually in life it's not always a Win-Win game. It is the same with bitcoin - sometimes you loose some but make sure that you have to win more and bigger to cover the losses you encounter. However, as we practice more, losses will be minimize and profit will be a lot greater because you will be able to identify situation and will be more cautious in decision making.

You need to have at least two accounts one is for trading and one for investing. The rationale of this is in day trading, lost is unavoidable even a seasoned trader experience losing a trade. Your account in trading will give you a room for improvement as times go by, experience is the best teachers in trading. The more losing experience the more you learn. Your one account which are dedicated for long term investing are your hedge account if your trading account is losing. This will help you recover if you are at lost position at your trading account.

Now in this time, every coins are facing some dump included bitcoin. You could see now bitcoin has down too much and now only 2 days bitcoin come back its price value, but still it has low price. Even i see my few friends who bought bitcoin at $15000 and now you could see they have biggest lose, but still they hold bitcoin. So i also suggest you that if you have your coins then better to hold for a time, it is not a right thing as a trader that you end up with losing. 

Right! As far as I am concerned, his emotions are still in play. Losing in trading is normal in beginners just try and try until you succeed in trading just use a small amount of capital first when practicing trading you don't need to be worry when losing every loses there's a win but if you want to trade with a high chance of winning look for a very legitimate coins with good projects and go for long term, Long term means "Enter in a good entry and hold it for long month" this way of trading is lower risk.

Trading with out loss impossible. you can try but loss will still happen ( trust me ). Have you ever know about stop loss? one of tools created to minimalism loss, it's good to try. Loss is good to learn that reality not always same with dream and also give our time to fix strategy because market always grow up and unpredictable. Take a closer look on the coin that you are trading in. Instead of wasting time looking those candlesticks, better to take a look with their whitepapers and roadmaps. Check on their achievements whether they got some promise. Whenever you see the good news, some times it is too late because the coin's price already pumped up and by the time you buy some are already dumping and taking their profits. Better to buy when there is no activity so by the time the news spread you will gain profit.

Patterns indeed can help you, but it is not that accurate mate. Why would you sell your assets for a low price? You must ask that to yourself. In trading sometimes you loss sometimes you earn. Day trading is very risky don't ever try to lose your money. It's all risky at the first place. I'm a fundamenlist guy and wants to check every marketcap who's gaining big from 24 hrs volume. Holding more is much better than doing day trading, if you're into saving then it's much better to do hold, wait till it pumps and know the coin graphs, there will come a coin, this coin should be really useful and not those just made out of nothing to ensure that it'll never lose it value hence have chance for more development.

When we are in this crypto trading, the risk is always exist, we can never avoid losses, a trader without any knowledge about losing will never become a good trader, losing in trading bring us informations and help us understand why we lost.

Maybe you always hear or read this one but you will only lose if you sell. This is the only way for you to not lose. As long as you do not push the sell button then you do not lose anything. We know that crypto market is volatile and pump and dump is happening all the time so even if you lose hope that the coin you bought may not go up, there is always a chance that it will be pump or if any news from the team about the developments of the projects related to the coin will appear then it would get the attention of traders and investors and the coin you hold will go up because of the demand. What you can see is paper loss if you don't sell. You can either buy more of the coin so that you can average down. As long as you bought a coin that has an active team and project then you are safe.

Only way to get some free bitcoins is to either use some faucet which is a waste of time or if you already own some Bitcoin you can lend it out on some exchange like Poloniex or Bitfinex and get a decent percentage.

However that comes with risks incase the sites end up getting hacked or you get yourself hacked

then you should be better at reading a rumor mate, which rumors may occur and which ones are hoaxes. many rumors say that bitcoin prices go up for no apparent reason, maybe it's just a hoax and I would not gamble with buying coin at that price, then there are rumors about bitcoin prices going up because in the near future many companies X started to adopt bitcoin, it maybe true rumor you should validate that rumors, if that's a possible rumor to be true, maybe I'll buy bitcoin, and when the news comes then bitcoin price goes up because it's in the push, and you get profit

Loosing and gaining part of trade if you didn't lose it means you dint tried. Loosing can be minimize by diversifying the investment and do not panic sell if market going to fall just hold and patience.

Trading is such a very hard job.You can't predict what will happen to every coins in a second. Even veterans trader can also lost money in trading,i would suggest, it's much better to do scalping.Less chance of biggest loss is scalping in my idea.

and you better not try that , instead of that try to maximize your profits and minimize your losses.

I believe that in order to be able to trade successfully and at the lowest risk, you should trade at BTC / USDT rates, as the price of USDT fluctuates not so much so we are easy to control our capital. Actually losing money is part of the business,  it depends to you how you prevent this.  Like trading you said you losing too much money brcause I think why the result is that because you cannot think wise like buying a coin without doing a research.  Because doing research can get a lot of information that you build if this project or this coin have potential to increase the price in the future for sure if you do that you can less losing money.

The real cause is your beliefs because of it you are over confidence candlestick has a use and in different time frames you can loss because of your emotions. Everyone can trade and its impossible to not lose in trading. You need to know more about it not only by using candlesticks.

there is a saying that the money in markets shifts from the inpatient traders to the patient traders. So even if you prepare everything and still lose most of the time than you should check your patience I guess .

The point is trading cryptocurrencies is not like forex trading where some patterns may be a too sure strategy,in fact I found out that most of the times reading candle sticks and anticipating the markets wasn't a sure way of trading to make profits.The real cause to me is that traders themselves are unpredictable and most of the times,those trading are actually not traders but people who just want to dump some coins they may have gotten freely leading to erratic price changes.

Choosing the investment from the major of coin like bitcoin and etherium can reduce the risk but you have to let the massive profit go away from your mind.
However, if invest in major coin, long term or short term is not problem because its safer then new coin, but ofcourse the profit is not big.

I think the best way to succeed is buy and HODL for the long run. Then it turns into investing. Research promising projects that look like winners, and get in early as possible. This has worked pretty well for me, and worked well with AntShares in particular. You just can't be lazy or play around too much with TA, you need to research the actual projects and make sure they are going to succeed.

Your answer is too far from the OP? I don't know what is the main point of yours and from that i assume to not use an exchange if it is for overall exchanges or a particular one. And for the post you can't trade without losing there is no perfect trader.

You will improve through experience and please avoid trading a coin without enough information about it. It is a recipe for disaster. Trading signal is not enough information, you have to combine it with news and trends.

If you beginner in trading and To avoid big loss firstly use small amount to start it, and learn about some technical and fundamental analysis. Sometimes really hard to understanding all technical analysis because there are many different indikator, but you dont need to learn it all, just learn 3 different indikator is enough. And other most important thing to reduce any risk is you should be use risk management in every trade like cut loss, buy minimum 2 different coin and dont trade with emotional.

Your way to keep track of crypto market movement is pretty good and of course by doing that you've gained an amazing experience. Defeat in trading is common in trading activities so do not make you feel discouraged because I think you have actually got the most valuable lesson from the defeat.

I think he ever experienced being cheated by the exchange, I also experienced the same thing, some time ago poloniex had many problems and I did withdraw but the coin was not sent, poloniex gives false tx and not giving respond and solve the problem until 1 month my coins back but the price has gone down very deep, I get very bug lose, sometimes losses occur due to technical matters mate,

if you want to trade with out loosing all you need is patience coz if the group will on the lower just wait the time that will go on the top coz if you have no patience you will be lost a money and that is just all you need is patience.

Most of the people failed to get the information about the coin and failed to make profit because they owner are strictly developing the coin and soon it loose the value in the market because many people are buying the coin only because owner promises.

It is in your hand if you only do traders with profits then you are not gonna lose anything,but it is impossible to do so.Because the price of crypto currencies are too volatile so you can't expect it to give only the profits.But if you are a skillful trader you can cover you loss of one trade from the profits of other trades.The important thing you have to remeber is buy low and sell high then there is no chance for lose,if you can follow this all time then you are not going to lose anything.

Honestly, I did not quickly take a look at that and you are right, maybe he is just taking the whole idea of trading the wrong way and that is affecting his ability to think and make quality decisions. 247 is a whole lot of time for someone to stay in front of a chart. What on earth is he monitoring ?

That is like trying to usher in headache, and ability of the brain not to function properly. Maybe he is overworking himself with the losses rather than looking for how to take more opportunity in his trade. Even if you do make 25/7 on a day on doing trading it wont really guarantee you out to be profitable if you are relying too much out of those technical aspects.
