1. Pretty soon you should able to buy bigger amounts ( less than 1000 INR ), till than you can buy multiple vouchers.
2. We purchase from legit flipkart recommended channels only. Only bank payments are accepted there. Also we are very legit, one of the oldest and one of the most trusted business here :)
3. Not at the moment, hopefully one day :)

My father downloaded the app & wishes to use it soon to buy a phone from flipkart. I have a couple of questions though:
1. Can I buy vouchers worth Rs 15000 if I don't buy any coins from ZebPay but use my own bitcoins? Would this need ID verification since I don't need to buy bitcoins?
2. Is there an API for Zebpay price so that I can decide whether to buy from Zebpay or use my own coins to buy vouchers?

1. You do not need to verify anything or provide any ID verification and you can transfer your own coins to buy the vouchers.

2. You can only buy 500 INR worth from zebpay for first time after that you need to provide KYC for future buying, so it's better you use your coins to buy the vouchers.

1. At the moment you will not be able to buy more than ~10,000 INR vouchers. You can use your own coins, thats not an issue.
2. We do not have api at the moment, but surely we will try to give at least rate feed via api very soon.

Don't think the facility to purchase vouchers is on the ios app on zebpay as yet.

Latest iOs version do have vouchers buy feature. The only issue is sometimes it crashes on Pin or scroling, we have already submitted update to Apple but its long wait from Apple side.

Somehow I missed your comments. We do have some plans on launching a new publicity campaign, signature campaign on bitcointalk. Will surely PM you very soon :)

As far as merchant adoption concerns, we have our merchant app under development at the moment, but it may take some time as priority is consumer facing features like mobile recharge, utility bill pay, buy bitcoins.  We have marketplace architecture which means once we are in with our pilot offerings using inhouse company we can easily scale to more players, sellers and countries very soon. At the moment our concentration is more on maturing our product, finding best use cases of spend wallet, get as much feedback as possible with small set of users.

We will charge one day on transactions, but at the moment we want to show people that using bitcoins for your day to day needs is rewarding. You do not have to access your bank accounts, give your personal information to whole chain of payment processors and intermediate processors.

Your approach is really nice and actionable. I don't think a signature campaign will be helpful. However, you should consider buying up users signatures who actively post in the Indian niche boards, that way you'd probably get more Indians to register and actually utilise your desired of coupons.

We are really sorry for the inconvenience. Some of the apple devices used to get stuck at scrolling when they had lot of contacts and on pin screen when the network is slow or app doing stuff at background. We were not able to reproduce this issues in our test suits and had to do guess work which did not solve the issue in last update.

We have identified this issues now and  submitted an update to Apple but its taking almost ages nowdays to get approval from Apple.

Also we were using Fabric for our test program/ beta list and now we are also including testflight as suggested by Muhammed Zakir . Please send me your email address if you want to be on beta list which will allow you to access Zebpay iPhone app before general release.

If you are registered with Indian mobile number you will see only Amazon.in vouchers denominated in INR ( like 500 INR and 1000 INR ), you can use these vouchers only on Amazon.in

Users who has USD as their registered currency ( from country like USA ) will see Amazon.com vouchers which can be redeemed only on amazon.com

Just uninstalled the app because it somehow logged me out while i was browsing the vouchers and asked for a pin which i dont remember. The forgot pin option also didnt work.

Please accept our sincere apologies for inconvenience. It should ask you PIN only if you are trying to purchase it. In case your session is expired ( various reasons ) it should ask for mobile number verification.

Forgot pin is simple email request to support to reset your PIN. We do not allow instant reset as we dont know if you are requesting rest pin or someone else. Reset PIN sms is sent directly to your mobile and you will be able to use it.

I will request you to install app one more time and give it a try again. If you face any issue please call us or mail us and we will be happy to help.

Vouchers are always non refundable, but in case you face any issue please contact us immediately and we will take this up with voucher provider. Flipkart and Amazon are safest vouchers in India and they do not have any issues normally. These two vouchers constitute most of our sales.

What we recommend is you should use flipkart gift voucher ( does not matter from where you have received it ) immediately and redeem amazon gift voucher in your amazon balance as soon as you get it.

There are lots of points you have raised and I will try to answer them one by one
1) On ground marketing in banglore.
- We really want to do it and I really appreciate your efforts on the same. The only thing that is holding us back from it is our current focus. We are startup and we do not have lot of resources. Our current focus is to mature our product, get as much feedback as possible, learn how our users use this product and get at lest few users who loves this product. At this moment in terms of marketing we can afford is gorilla digital marketing and get word of mouth from customers like you.

It does not mean your suggestion is not in our road map, the only issue is we do not have enough resources at the moment. But we will surely brain storm how we can involve customers like you in on ground marketing. Your suggestions gave us food for thought and we will surely work on it.

2) Focus market for Benson and Coinsecure
- Well, they are again startup and as a startup owner you wear 56 different hats in a day, I can assure you that a CTO who is taking care of product tech and execution on early startup days wishes he may get 30 hour a day. There is so much to do and we have to make sure we plan and use our existing resources most efficiently.

Also Coinsecure is an exchange and on ground campus marketing will not help them a lot. Think like how many ads you will see of BSE or Nifty in colleges ? They are doing a lot of marketing and awareness campaign but the audience and market segment is different.

That audience is our target audience and let me assure you we do have plan to tap that area via marketing.

3) Law and regulation regarding bitcoin marketing

The guys at Zabpay have been amazing.

Getting different prices for buying bitcoin on the main page and then when i click on buy bitcoins, the price is 200 rupees more. coming back to the main page, it is 200 rupees less.

Yes the buy has different price than zebpay ticker, appx 1%

zebpay ticker is used as reference price on all transactions. Buy price is decided by backend sellers, at the moment it is zebpay India. The 1% gap helps us to work with the volatility on prices.

Is there a problem with some versions of android ? I installed the app yesterday but it showed me an error that it is not offered for my OS.

We support everything above Android 4 but some devices may have issues. Can you please check below :

-  When we started Zebpay we decided we want to give the most convenient way to experience bitcoin to new users. We did a small user feedback survey and learned that mobile app is much preferred compared to desktop ( web ) version. We can have web version but Every platform you add requires resources to manage and support. At the moment all of our efforts are focused on getting you best experience of buying and selling bitcoins along with topnotch support experience. Honestly we do not have enough resources to add one more platform at the moment.

We understand that as we grow we must support user on all major platforms like Windows ( and may be web client ) and we do have these task in our long term road map.

2) If you can send me your registered mobile number on support@zebpay.com I will look into why it is failing. Normally the issue with Tata docomo most of the times is Topup and flexi plan confusion as some topup denominations are supported with topup plan and some are with flexi plan. You can choose them in operator dropdown. But sometimes it just blatantly do not accept recharge request ( Tata docomo and BSNL mainly ). I will look into it as I get your registered number.

I reaaly need one feature request added so that i can use zebpay as my regular bitcoin wallet too..
I want an option in zebpay app for signing a message from my bitcoin address..That feature would be awesome..Please conside this,if possible  :D

We received these and few more requests like providing txids for bitcoin transactions ( incoming and outgoing ) and more native stuff. We discussed these a lot internally but always hide complexities from user argument wins as soul and base of our product is hiding complexities from normal joe.

We do have advanced mode feature on our roadmap where once you turn it on from settings, you will be able to do lot of native Bitcoin stuff like this including having your own private wallet and not sharing keys with us ( Keys will be stored in you mobile only, encrypted using paraphrase and it is never shared with us ). I can not promise actual timeline as we our short term roadmap is focused on lot of consumer facing tasks, but I will surely push this internally.

Thanks for your response..I trust zebpay and even if the private key feature you are talking about not added then also i am satisfied..but Zebpay should really add signing a message feature because sometimes we need to prove that we own our address and that can be done by only signing a message..I hope future updates will include this feature,Otherwise zebpay is great and one of its kind ;)

Paytm does not allow voucher sell by third party re seller at the moment. We constantly ping them and we will get them on board as soon as they are ready.

Ok so 500 INR amazon vouchers are available in stock but i don't understand why there validity is 8 october 2016?
Amazon vouchers have 1 year validity and as 500 INR vouchers were out of stock so they must be in stock from new ones which should have complete 1 year validity but they are showing validity 8 october 2016.Why?

It might be a bug :) Will have to look into it. It should have exp date around end Nov or start Dec.

Also normally once you buy vouchers you should immediately add it to your Amazon wallet.

Please accept our sincere apologies on issue you have faced. The issue is we do not calculate fees and let underlying wallet do it with recommended fees settings. We deduct 100 bits fixed fees and it does not matter if we pay less or more. If you will check for lot of transactions we normally pay higher fees too, because we dont control it and simply set it to recommended settings.

Today overall we and lot of other people facing issues with pending transactions.

Once transaction is broadcast through network only miners have control over it and it really depends on lot of factors if its not confirming. In any case we have noted your feedback and will work hard to make our underlying platform more robust and responsive to avoid issues like this.

Thanks for satisfying Response :) but sometimes the transactions from zebpay are of (medium priority less then 0.0001 fees) so it would be much awesome if the fees is atleast 100 bits for every transaction in your wallet recommended settings,I agree to pay 200 bits fees too as long as it fills the purpose coz sometimes we need to have atleast 1 confirmation as fast as possible,I hope you understand :)

ZEBPAY STOP THIS YOUR NONSENSE WHY UPDATE THE APP EVERY FEW DAYS WHEN ALL UPDATE IS THE SAME WALLET NO ANY FEATURES  DO YOU THINK ITS FUN

There may be security fixes with the new app. Every update is done for a reason, don't update yours, then later on don't blame Zebpay for any losses incurred.

Disable auto updates if you have problems with regular updates and update manually when you want to.

@buysellbitcoin in app changelogs will be nice or a web page dedicated for that.

Myntra has some weird policy for generating PIN on their website for codes sold by third party vendors, which is not possible in our current workflow. We are still working with them to resolve this but as of now it looks like it will take some time.

Please accept my sincere apologies if those last few frequent updates are annoying. We are working hard to support low end devices and slow speed connections. Also there is constant bug/crash fixes that we have to roll on user reports. Android is really challenging platform when your user base is spread over heaps of devices and connection speeds. We are a startup and learning scaling and app updates and client scaling is one of the parts of our learning for sure. But I agree, we are not perfect. Let me assure you we are working very hard to resolve this.

We are working a lot on the background at the moment which will allow us to release some big features in coming months. This will keep us busy with rolling very frequent updates for at least next couple of months. We believe that if we have identified an issue, we must resolve it as soon as possible. Hopefully February updates will have some cool features which is visible on interface. :)

Bought Bitcoin for the first time on Zebpay.Everything went smooth and I got my coins within hour after sending payment but I have a suggestion.Zebpay gives only 4 hours to make payment through IMPS/NEFT etc after placing buy order.I am an SBI customer and it allows NEFT tranfer between 8:00 to 20:00 hours. This prevent me from buying bitcoin after 20:00.I suggest zebpay should give atleast 12 hours time to send payment instead of current 4 hours
