1  Economy / Exchanges / Re: WEX.NZ on: December 03, 2018, 03:40:03 PM
If you haven't had enough of a clue that this is a site to forget about and move on with your life, the hosts file tweak that worked for wex.nz works for wex.link as well.  You simply use wex.link instead of wex.nz with the same instructions.   However the site will probably lose its SSL padlock soon, and 2fa, if it has no working domain name.

We can not log in and strange thing is, there are users who are chatting. I wonder who are those logged in users. USDT is valued at 10.. This site has some serious agenda.

What good is it when no one can log in or withdraw. Its trying to evade an investigation by keeping itself upfront.
But its time is depleting.

Those logged in users are able to chat because their session cookies were still valid when the wex.link domain was pulled from the site.  If you already have the HOSTS file tweaks in place then your session cookie should still work, if it has not yet expired.   Eventually it will expire if WEX doesn't fix this domain situation soon.  Why not put it on an .onion address and tweet on the official WEX account...

I doubt that keeping the appearance of a running site will prevent any investigation at this point.  I suspect their actions and principal owners are well known to investigators for a long time, but it takes years and years for all the pieces of a case to come together in a solid and robust form that can't easily shot down by legal defense, particularly in a case involving the cooperation of multiple unrelated jurisdictions. Wouldn't be surprised if they bought a few investigators off (or the investigators got their fingers dirty on their own) too, Carl Mark Force IV style.  oooohhh  drama   lol.

3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sia - Decentralized Storage on: December 02, 2016, 03:13:23 AM
Doesn't this coin need to be extremely cheap to compete with established tech like DROPBOX and others ... which basically offer GBs of cloud space for FREE?!

won't have to wait long to find out,  this coin went from a slow fade to full tilt REKToberfest in just a week, maybe Vorick needs christmas money.  5 sats might not be a crazy target to put orders in.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] VOXELS (VOX) | The Official Coin of Virtual Reality and Voxelus Platform on: December 01, 2016, 06:46:36 PM
You can currently buy a one percent share in Voxelus corporation for about $1000. When they go public a one percent share could be worth over one million bucks based on a $100 million market cap. I am in on this.

LMAO.... this is the EXACT same exit scam trick Blasko pulled with his dead "UNB"  auction site.    Almost word for word.

Micheal Terpin, I see you standing back there hunched over Blasko's shoulder, snickering as you massage your latest puppet from well meaning (but doofy and unqualified) nice guy to outright scammer, keeping the slime from sticking to yourself.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sia - Decentralized Storage on: November 30, 2016, 02:53:35 AM

36 sats. Not under performing? I think you maybe looking at another chart or not a TA person.

31 sats now... thanksgiving day sale looking like a bust, perhaps Sia has a christmas layaway plan?  SC should be 15 sats by then at this rate lol

Just trade it

mine it, dumpt it,  repeat until rich
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Expanse (EXP) - Blockchain powered immutable cloud computer on: November 28, 2016, 08:53:43 PM
What EXP needs is a nice fat DAO scam to drama things up a little.

Those are some really cool looking graphics. Sounds like Voxelus has a plan. Some big names involved also. I am not a fan of IPO's. But I now own 1000 VOX  Cheesy

Hey, if my name were Tom King and was partnered with Jim Blasko, I, too, would be a fan of his Voxelus and tell folks how cool the graphics look and that Voxelus has a plan.

Question: Did you suck Jim's dick first or was your dick sucked first by Jim?

To be clear, I've only begun to expose all you scammy fucks associated with Jim Blasko. My dick's stiff as a board just thinkin' 'bout it.

The image above is to let you know the current tabs I have opened in investigating you scammy fucks.

Bruno

PS: Have a nice day, for them nice days are now numbered. HAHAHA & Chuckles

Damn been a long time since my last trip to BCT forums and this is what shows up at the top of the altcoin board.

Jim Blasko is a generic nobody who used to hang out in the Cryptsy trollbox day and night, hawking his coingen-created "unbreakablecoin" garbage to the rest of the cryptsy trollbox idiots including scam enabler #2, Horus (#1 enabler being paul vernon ... obviously).  For you new kids out there, CoinGen was a joke site (created IIRC by BlueMatt a bitcoin core dev) which let anyone make an altcoin, using a template based on LiteCoin (or was it Doge, I forget now).  You could pick a new name, new logo, tweak a couple basic coin settings and presto, you're an instant "altcoin dev".

Blasko cannot code and is not a developer.  He's just a typical mediocre cryptocoin gambler who has to pay (or scam) actual developers to do work he claims to do himself, even the simplest shit like setting up an IDE is barely within his extremely basic skillset. His last "project"  was just a coingen template which failed miserably.

FFS the guy installs home security alarms and lighting systems for a living. Or that's what he used to do, before he pivoted to becoming an altcoin 'dev' in order to recover his crypto gambling losses and expenses such as the outrageous "consulting" fees charged to him by master scammer michael terpin to promote an extremely lame UNB auction site. A project which was yet another template with a logo slapped on, and which went absolutely nowhere --- but cost Blasko upwards of ~$20k when he got scammed by Terpin who billed him to pretend to pimp UNB and the auction site around to "investors".   I actually felt bad for Blasko when Terpin rekt him like that, but I see he learned no lessons here and has instead decided to fully embrace the role of a crypto parasite.

None of this Vox stuff should surprise anyone in the least, people calling for it to hit sub 500 sats are on the money here.   For sure Polo will delist this on the next round of shitcoin housecleaning.

what's going on with VTC?  Is there any news or is this just another random pump thanks to polotrololo?   Does VTC even have an active dev at this point?

XST on the pump list !

Try to jump on the train !   Choochooo

"The" pump list?   There's just one official list?    XST also seems to be fumbling its chances of a super run here.

I mean, the technology is great. I just feel that the coin is not getting the support it deserves. The website is amazing but because of the expired certificate, it raises some concern. But definitely I am 100% with you on that. It is probably one of the best coins out there. I just lack faith.

Why did the certificate expire?  In the age of free/dirt cheap certs from places like letsEncrypt this should never happen any more....

Man, just when I sold my coins. It's all good. Good luck everyone.

I probably bought them, thanks for the luck wishes I am sure I'll need them!   What's going on with XST,  just nothing like FLDC and GRC recently?
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SWARM] Swarm - Cryptoequity Crowdfunding - Official Thread on: February 29, 2016, 05:56:47 PM
No clue.  Both the new and old Slack channels are also dead for the most part.

Well Gleb just showed up in the thread recently,  I didn't notice that before.   Something's up, but it must not have anything to do with the actual SWARM devs.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SWARM] Swarm - Cryptoequity Crowdfunding - Official Thread on: February 29, 2016, 05:38:03 PM
SWARM looks like it's finally getting a tiny rumble of activity on Polo,  trollbox keeps bringing it up for reasons nobody can explain.  So I came here to see what the community is up to and .... well....  tumbleweeds.

Is this not the place the main communication happens for SWARM or are insiders busy doing insider things?   In other words what's making SWARM start to wake up.. Anyone got a clue?

I don't understand: how the weak suffering has something to do with centralization?

Thank You and Best regards.

When you suppress the agency of the weakest members of a group, they either forfeit their ability to contribute to it (a.k.a. they leave) or else delegate it to those slightly stronger.

This next slightly stronger group is now the new "weakest" and the cycle continues.

The result is that strength of the entire group becomes increasingly concentrated toward a center (or centers, in a multimodal distribution) of mass.

17  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: New transaction malleability attack wave? Another stresstest? on: October 11, 2015, 11:11:13 PM
Can somebody explains in a simple sentence (subject + verb + object) what's the problem with this attack, besides that can be a possible duplicate for your transaction that never gets accepted by the Blockchain and gets deleted by the Blockchain after 1 week (estimated time)?

There are two problems:

1. Some wallets get confused should they send a transaction that gets changed by the attack, giving wrong status information to the user.

2.  The attacker can increase the size of the memory pool of unconfirmed transactions, which uses extra processing resources, memory resources and network bandwidth, potentially causing sluggish performance of the network and crashing weak nodes.

So: only the weak will suffer.

Thank You for your reply.

Best regards.

> only the weak will suffer.

18  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: New transaction malleability attack wave? Another stresstest? on: October 07, 2015, 05:59:59 PM
Clearly, the number of transactions per block must rise higher than 1000 in order for this to be viable with bitcoin at its current price.
This is not enough. Users should pay $6 per every tx. Only to remain current price  Grin

So you are saying Bitcoin has a P/E ratio of ~10,000:1  or so?

Quite high even for tech but not outside the limits of imagination for an asset that could be, in the eyes of it's supporters, the foundation for a new universal value regime.

Of course those who use language like that are quite often using it to refer to religious beliefs.  Zealotry has frequently paid much, much higher prices for its idealism.

Suppose the price per Tx rises by a factor of 10, and the price of BTC drops by 75% to come into line with the approximate cost of overpowering or capturing the network's security.  P/E of ~250 would not raise many eyebrows on Wall St.

> Who is the winner between two players in a game? When all other factors are the same?

How long is the game?

> In this game the winner will be the system, where the cost of resources per one transaction is less (if we talk about the same security)

The big catch is that bitcoiners do not recognize security that is based on maintaining a loop of sterile, mechanically rigid, clearly understood consensus rules that they can see in the open, as being something fundamentally comparable to security based on trusting other people to be, in the aggregate, slightly more honest than corrupt when working out of sight.

For bitcoiners, the fact that "decentralized" security costs more is worth it, because in their view it is a better quality product worth paying a premium for.   A decentralization premium.

A game:   cite of an example where the universe has evolved a natural system exhibiting coordination of behavior by a full decentralization of group consensus, and I will tell you why it is wrong.

The starfish.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Starfish

Quote
While a starfish lacks a centralized brain, it has a complex nervous system with a nerve ring around the mouth and a radial nerve running along the ambulacral region of each arm parallel to the radial canal. The peripheral nerve system consists of two nerve nets: a sensory system in the epidermis and a motor system in the lining of the coelomic cavity. Neurons passing through the dermis connect the two.[28] The ring nerves and radial nerves have sensory and motor components and coordinate the starfish's balance and directional systems.[5] The sensory component receives input from the sensory organs while the motor nerves control the tube feet and musculature. The starfish does not have the capacity to plan its actions. If one arm detects an attractive odour, it becomes dominant and temporarily over-rides the other arms to initiate movement towards the prey. The mechanism for this is not fully understood.

Good choice.  There are a couple like this, and some better ones, but they are still wrong.

For the starfish has no central nervous system, but it does have a radially centralized body plan - and more subtly, a solid body is an information signalling medium of its own. If one arm pulls, the rest of the creature comes with it.  A brain need not agree to this, or even a network of nerves. The entire physical unity of its mass does the job of "maintaining consensus" about a direction for the creature to move. To lose this consensus (such as arms pulling in opposite directions, or being pulled by outside forces) would be to physically fragment the creature. The nervous system described above is an overlay network which helps prevent this from happening.

Also, there are natural constraints to how big starfish can become before they cannot sustain physical integrity.
