81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SuperCoin Takeover by Trusted-Cryptos Team [Griffith] on: January 09, 2015, 02:24:31 PM
we have filed a complaint. if this doesnt get resolved within 3 business days. we will be changing hosting providers

I have no relationship with  www.asmallorange.com other than to say that i have used them for about a dozen projects both personally and as part of packages for clients, and i have had zero issues with them.  Great performance (I think their servers are 100% SSD-based now, among other perks), no downtime in all the time i have been using them (over 2 years).

Support is very responsive, and price is fairly reasonable, though not the cheapest out there.

The site works for me, posting from a client's office overlooking the national mall in Washington DC...
83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SuperCoin Takeover by Trusted-Cryptos Team [Griffith] on: December 19, 2014, 01:47:58 AM

Hey man this is somewhat off topic here, but I noticed you approached the  "dev"  of another coin to help it out,  and got a nice warm welcome from that colossally arrogant and clueless dickface in return.

For the love of alll that is SUPER please stay far away from that turd and the worthless shitcoin he is in charge of.   It will take resources off SUPER and as a former holder of the other coin, who moved their support to SUPER precisely because I was disgusted with that other coin's boneheaded management, I would be very disappointed to see that coin waste the TC team's efforts even with a casual glance let alone serious time commitment.

Trust me (if you haven't seen enough already),  that guy needs to be left to rot in the forgotten back pages of the ANN board.   Do not help him for your own sanity's sake.

now im curious on what coin you are referring to?

bump

Did you see DickVelcro's latest spectacular cock-up?  MDTSpain from the trustedcrypto team approached him to help fix LTCD's codebase and got the usual Vic "I will ban you go awayyyy" welcome in return.

I can't believe how badly this guy can crap in his own bed, even when a coder from a well known and generally admired dev crew (MWC, SUPERcoin, a couple others) offers to help out,  vic managed to ruin that opportunity with his winning personality once again.
85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SuperCoin Takeover by Trusted-Cryptos Team [Griffith] on: December 18, 2014, 08:54:47 AM

Hi Griffith,

Great that you have updated the wallet, but the link to download Windows wallet is not working. Could you check this on your website.
This is also the case for the other coins (MWC, and ECC).

Sincerely,

Wiskunde

Hallo Student Wiskunde....Nederlands?

I have just checked the link http://trustedcryptos.com/Downloads/Supercoin/Windows/SuperCoin-qt.zip but for me it's working fine.

The other coins you are correct, we didn't populate them yet, except the mac wallets

86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Issue with Litecoindark dev (vicvelcro) on: December 14, 2014, 05:13:53 AM
I think it might be the best for the vicerlcro to resign as litecoindark dev. As long as he is at charge, this coin will not survive. He pissed off too many people already and we are seeing an effect on price. I really don't care who is in charge but vicerlcro is not the right fit for the community.

Like any dev. the dev must be mature and be able handle people in proper way. By name calling and deleting post will not prevent the FUD but in fact it will create them. Apparently, he doesn't understand that.

87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Archaeology time: Was there even an [ANN] thread for NBL (Nibble)? on: December 13, 2014, 08:30:35 AM

Found it, thanks!  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=209035.1380

Looks like the name was spelled differently (Nybble) in some previous incarnation.  Apparently a switch from Scrypt to Salsa or Habanero or whatever.

This forum's built-in search is almost as useless as Reddit's.
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Archaeology time: Was there ever an [ANN] thread for NBL (Nibble)? on: December 13, 2014, 08:19:54 AM
The forum search brings up nothing.  I am trying to find the original ANN threads for some really old shitcoins that are miraculously still traded for some research on coin proliferation and i get bupkis on Nibble.  Anyone know where the original post was ..uhh.. posted?
89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] VidioShare| ViDioshare.me Platform | Stage 2 platform | content Rewards on: December 11, 2014, 11:26:26 AM
......

Lol. My shitcoin received 100k visits in the first month.. I will send over the screen shot of a lame excel in a while.. The coin is at 300 sats. Nerio hasn't done shit, and trade2winn will keep asking for donations..

LOL, Yeah its been a while since you been trolling here. Why do you bother coming back? Didn't you unload weeks ago? It's hard to believe someone that is NOT interested in Vidioshare and "sold" weeks back is still here chatting about nonsense.

I'm not in here begging for handouts so please don't disrespect me in that nature. I have been delivering what I said I would do and will continue to do just that. Just trying to help and donate my time for a good cause.

Sorry for whatever you have stuck where the sun don't shine.

It was 10K visits in the last month, not 100K...and Nerio hopes to double it to 20K with the Facebook Marketing Campaign by months end.

From this point on consider yourself ignored and with all due respect, which is little to none...I will no longer be replying to you and your BS.

-trade2winnn

I am not trolling here. I still own 5% of the total VDOs that are out there even though I have unloaded most of my investment. This has been my shittiest investment so far. Nerio hasnt done shit. The license never came, the FB campaign has been launching for ages, the announcement from that big porn star never came. Apart from doing some shitty things, which I think can be done in less than 1/10th of the time Nerio takes, and I say that coz I have been working in web development and analytics for the last 10 years. Every time I come back there is not one substantial development that has taken place.

The price has gone down to 300 sats and people still talk about price being stabilized now. After all that money given in the ICO, a community member still asks for donations and get things done that should have been done by Nerio in the first place. An excel snapshot of 10k visits is shown as a success metric. You dont need a FB campaign to increase the visits to 20k you idiot, you just need to update that silly excel. And if you bring it up, you are fudding or trolling. Because you assholes dont like to see whats obvious!!

Background lurker here,  been following Vidio for a few weeks because the 10,000 foot concept is not a bad one, but the execution is a lot less than I imagined it would be (I thought, from the general description, that it was going to be a decentralized video broadcasting content system that used  its own coin currency to pay its nodes to stream on-demand video - turns out it's just a website with a coin-based paywall.  yawn).   So I stayed away, though I made a suggestion a while back about working with RDD because they also have a video site and an enthusiastic content-creation community - but their site is not pay-based so i wondered if Vidio could fit in there somewhere. Probably a longshot.

Still, 300-400 sats seems like a cheap place to buy in and that's where I am now.  Just a toe dipped in, because I basically agree with what you are saying and don't want to risk much.  I do think the coin is somewhat undervalued at 300 sats, even with the snail pace of progress and the probably meaningless website hit counts being shown here.
90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Issue with Litecoindark dev (vicvelcro) on: December 11, 2014, 11:08:30 AM
vicvelcro must pissed off lots of people. I know today it past 200 sat. from bittrex but it sank again to 197 sat.

I, for one,  thank Vic for trying to buy up the price of the coin and clear out the low sells i had from 190 to 210.   Those are the easy 3 and 4 figure ones,  tho....   My 5-6 figure sells in mid 200's and up are not so cheap to get rid of Wink  Most bagholders stuck in this coin bought way, waaaaay above that so he's not going to make anyone happy any time soon.   I'm in profit on this coin for months (the kickstart bump 2 or 3 months back after the romanian gypsy drama, from 1100 to 1700+,  was also me) so I can sit on these sells forever, and I probably will.

91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [888] [SCRYPT] OctoCoin ◦ The Power of Eight ◦ Don't Blink on: December 09, 2014, 08:27:26 PM
... A small piece of the original dev team, all of the code that has been written, and a shred of 888 passion among us still exists. Most (if not all) of the original dev team would certainly get involved again if the situation improved considerably. Like most people, I have several other priorities right now but I will personally be putting the finishing touches on the new wallet as soon as possible and then ensuring that 888 it at least back and trading on Bittrex. Several developers, including myself and the developer of another (fairly prominent) altcoin, have gone through the code and there is nothing there that could specifically cause issues with OctoCoin payouts. Regardless, some issue apparently popped up exclusive to Bittrex (after months without incident despite the same code being used) and, as a result, the new wallet will be 100% from scratch.

Once a new wallet is released and things are stabilized, hopefully things will begin moving in the right direction again
...

Waiting for a new wallet and return of the fucking dev team!

What's happening, bholzer?
What is the situation?

LOL.  same old same old.  I forgot this phony clown was still around, still doing the same "I'm just an innocent victim of FUD for trying to be a light in the darkness" song and dance since the last time I ran across one of his other scam projects back in like January.   Pretending to be above it all and then deleting even mildly uncomfortable or off-message posts left right and center, which is why the fool gets so many angry PMs in the first place.  There used to be a scam-identification post in one of these boards that listed 10 or so bullet points that marked the most obvious signs of a scam, and this bholzer's projects checked off half of them right out of the gate.  Constant promises, moving goalposts, calling valid criticism of broken promises and missed targets "FUD"  and "trolling",  coins with no technical merit that are just trying to latch on to some bandwagon of the week fad,  appropriating others property (celebrity fame)  for their own gains,  and offering a few laughable pennies in return as "thanks"  for signing the celeb on to a merch contract without their express permission.  You name it.
92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Issue with Litecoindark dev (vicvelcro) on: December 09, 2014, 12:25:19 PM
Its almost funny to see how happy he is about getting us away from the coin.

http://gyazo.com/3bccb0d42684caf74373dab7daf5862d

I was there from week one.. And he just flips like a fucking 15 year old that is being told not to play video games all night and go to bed instead.

Just ignore him.  Waaah cry to mommy forum admins to come tell everyone to leave who isn't coming back anyway.  I'll still post in there at opportune times when truth needs to be spoken to power, I know from experience that the admins get tired of enabling scammers and won't do anything about critical posts that are provably true, in fact abuse of the 'delete' button by a mod has led to threads getting locked on numerous occasions. There's no infinite right to scam here (though scumbags can get away with a *lot*).
But it's time to wait until things start getting stupid again and the lies are transparent enough that even the admins can't ignore them.  For now, the price is doing all the talking.

FYI don't dump everything you have,  take some profits if you can and then just leave most of it on the sell order books piled high and deep.  This hurts much more than a one-time dump and they have to buy you out to get rid of it, which is sweet, sweet justice.  And don't keep drawing attention to his thread,  let him sit there talking to himself and the other two unfortunate dolts left in that community who haven't figured out what's happening to them yet.
93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Issue with Litecoindark dev (vicvelcro) on: December 09, 2014, 08:12:25 AM
Something wrong with vicvelcro, I think he might be bipolor....For the sake for the coin, I think we need to start the process of replacing vicvelcro, I don't think he is mentally stable.

I sold out, and my friends are dumping slowly..

http://gyazo.com/2d24b200f25c550c77f9bfc5d0f3680f

The coin is dead.

What he started bitching about is that Litecoindark is getting PoS.

The PoW reward is going to rise, and PoS is going to be added to run along side.

That is why he went crazy on me.. Even though I said nothing to the people that I tried to get into the coin.

So yea.. Secret is out...

He thinks he can save it with PoS and higher PoW.

I have invested a lot in this coin Undecided

Sorry to hear that.   The dev is a typical liar and pretends to be mature until someone posts anything the least bit critical, or even curious, and blam,  instant stick in the ass mall cop.

In the future, when you see a self moderated thread that contains a mysterious lack of critical posts, and many zero-content "bump" posts  by the thread moderator and pals,  DUMP and then RUN AWAY.

I actually bought a few on the last trip down to 170's.  Like several hundred thousand few Smiley   Most (as in 70%+) of the bids on the Cryptsy sell book from 300 sats to 200 and even down to 180 are mine.
I will keep the pressure on this shithead until his coin is flattened to 10 sats and delisted,  or he will have to pay me off and buy me out to get through it.   Censoring my posts is free, but censoring my market position is gonna cost him.
94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Issue with Litecoindark dev (vicvelcro) on: December 09, 2014, 07:56:03 AM
He went full retard in private chat with me.

And he has deleted all my posts in the new LTCD DEV thread.

Ill find the links and show the chat log from him to me.

EDIT: Our convo log.

95  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Moderation of (possible) FUD and insults on: December 09, 2014, 06:01:07 AM

The moderation is basically a libertarian approach just as the whole BTC thing has a libertarian concept around it.
To the ill educated ones who cant quite grasp the sensible moderation approach please visit your local library and read everything.
Seriously?  Roll Eyes
Of all the places you would imagine the libertarian concept to be fully understood it would be here. But nah, we see
the same brainwashed hordes running around demanding their liberties be taken away from them.
Doesnt matter the reason, their always the same
Ultimately these people shoot themselves in the foot.

The mods approach is correct!

While there are a few libertarians on this board, they are in the minority - just like in real live.
As you stand on your pedestal castigating the "ill educated", keep in mind that

• [miners] are in complete control of Bitcoin's production in the absence of a central authority
• [miners] are remunerated proportionally for their effort
• The entire Bitcoin ecosystem is entirely dependent on a [consensus-based blockchain]

Now, replace
[miners] with [workers]
[central authority] with [factory owners, landowners, etc.]
[consensus-based blockchain] with [democratic blockchain]

What do you have? Limited socialism at play.

I also used to think the forum administrators were libertarians. Now I realize they are just apathetic.

It's almost as if Libertarian is a term for people who have Socialist views, but who refuse to recognize (or are just too self-centered to acknowledge) the economic input of a society larger than that which can be confined within the space of their own two footprints.  Anti-social Socialists, you might say.
96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Issue with Litecoindark dev (vicvelcro) on: December 09, 2014, 05:14:10 AM
The guy was nominated to be in charge of a coin that was a joke from day one,  by a handful of clueless bagholders who couldn't even get get pumpers to be interested in that stinker.  The blind electing the blind.

Now he's all alone in a dead thread, sinking permanently rapidly into the forgotten double digit pages of the ANN board, "managing" a coin that has no future and an embarrassing past, and his own self-moderation idiocy to thank for it.

Let him rot there until Cryptsy puts that turd on the short list for removal starting Dec 15th. Best punishment is to let him suck wind all by himself IMHO.
97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dogecoindark, Litecoindark, Shitcoindark on: December 09, 2014, 12:28:37 AM
litecoindark appears to be a scam

A "dev" who cannot code at all (and I mean not even HTML), who cannot solve conflict problems, who cannot deal with community heat from frustration with non-performance because he's a just useless sack of shit who took over management of a coin nobody with any sense will go near?  A coin that is a flat out lie right there in its name (it's got nothing to do with LiteCoin  nor Dark, no anon, etc.  100% generic vanilla scrypt schitcoin)?

How, pray tell,  could this be a scam?

98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SuperCoin Takeover by Trusted-Cryptos Team [Griffith] on: December 08, 2014, 05:12:28 AM
Stake is not interest.  It is a superficial mimicry of interest..  Coins cannot earn interest until one of them comes up with a way to lend them at a contract interest rate and have them still be spendable,  but revokable (or rate adjustable) if the terms are not met.  This would never work with anonymity unless it becomes possible to enforce the contract terms on an anonymous wallet or address through some kind of escrow mechanism.  Even then there's no way to estimate default risk and thus set an interest rate to lend them at.

i may be mistaken for this coin, as i didnt look it up before posting this. but for other pos coins i have worked with. interest is calculated based on how much you stake. so more stake means more interest.

@Griffith

lol i appreciate that gif

This is what i mean by it is a simulation of interest, not actual interest.  It's just mimicking the "last mile" part of how interest payments work, not the rest of the underlying economic mechanism that drives the market to set interest rates in the first place.

I'm not trying to criticise stake, as it has its own crypto-specific economic niche (securing the network), but it's not actually "interest" at all.  Crypto still needs a genuine lending mechanism in order to have a way to earn interest as the rest of the financial world would understand it, and it's a big missing piece in the ecosystem.
99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: RyanPumper is a scammer. on: December 07, 2014, 12:49:10 AM
1)Put 5$ on an exchange.
2)Buy 50different alts for an amount of 0.1$ each.
3)2 or 3 of them will eventually pump.
4)Take screenshots (do not forget to hide the amount you bought)
5)Create fake btctalk accoutns to make them post nice words about your group.
6)Post some tip taken from investopedia.
7)Make people pay you the fee.
8)Enjoy the profit

You missed step 0:  recognize the kind of in-the-dark, information-starved, gambling addicted audience you are dealing with
100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SuperCoin Takeover by Trusted-Cryptos Team [Griffith] on: December 06, 2014, 11:17:43 PM
I also am against increasing the coin supply & Supercoin already has a good incentive to stake due to its 100% interest currently.
But it's not that stupid considering all the banks around the world does the same with fiat. (More money in bank = higher interest)
Also, more people staking & trading less results in a stronger network. It actually could prevent pump & dumps IMO.
