Do you guys think the results of the upcoming Nov 18th conference in DC will affect the price?
What if word gets out that the authorities are openly anti-Bitcoin?

Using these theories to predict the Bitcoin market is like asking Galileo to predict the rise of Gangnam Style. It's all bullshit.

We're the new wealthy elites. In 5 years everyone on this board will have a fleet of yachts!

Only 10k? It's gotta be worth more than that if it's widely used.

In 3 years:
1 BTC = at least $5K USD worth of purchasing power.
In 5 years:
1 BTC = $50K USD worth of purchasing power.

This is a good line: Sending Bitcoin to DC is like sending My Little Pony to the veterinarian
LOL!

https://bitcoinstar.wordpress.com/bitcoin-features/Penthouse writer Robin Postell highlights Bitcoin and its star players in a narrative with a humorous twist. Very creative writing! In a cathartic gush I unload on the deputy, telling him that I’m under deadline and my best friend just had a baby and my boyfriend was tired of kitty-sitting because he’d been unable to sleep for the past two nights because of it playing with his feet and I’m writing a piece about bitcoins for Penthouse, due in the morning.
“Bitcoins?” he says. “Lemme me pull over.”
For the first time in my Penthouse history, the topic I’m writing about gets more attention than the magazine I’m writing for. It’s a sign.

Great to hear SFU presenting bitcoin to future technical architects and Canadian business people. Is the presentation available on-line?
This one was not recorded. But the next one (sometime near the end of Oct) should be recorded.

Good work! What was the agenda like?
3 guest speakers. Each spoke 15 minutes on where Bitcoin is today, how it functions, and why we need it. With rounds of Q&A and quizzes where people can win shirts. Afterwards, we had a random draw. One lucky person won $50CAD worth of BTC. People then filled out surveys about their experience, then everyone went off to network and eat! All that in the span of 2 hours. That sounds sweet man, wish I were there! Did a lot of people in the audience know about Bitcoin already or did it start from a 'what the hell is a Bitcoin' stage? Any entrepreneurs in the audience/speakers? Seems like a good promising start though. Hope others take a cue Most people in the audience have only heard about Bitcoin in passing. They knew very little about it. Yes, all 3 guest speakers could be considered entrepreneurs (one of them co-founded Free Geek). About 1/3 of the audience were entrepreneurs (we had the founder of CarSurfing in attendance). I hope there will be more events like this throughout different cities in the world. It's social events like these that makes Bitcoin really pop.

don't mean to be a downer but the beginning of Bitcoin hardly began with SFU.
who is Simon Fraser Univ anyways?
It's just a catchy slogan. Don't read into it too much

And what are people going to spend their coins on?
You say people should spend their coins, not hoard them.
But why not do both? Spend a little, save a little more.

Almost anything having to do with food.

Yeah... someone's gonna give away 10 BTC's (over 1000 USD) for no gains at all...
