1  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto investment is exhausting for some ? on: May 22, 2024, 06:16:34 PM
I guess he is just lazy? Or he want something different all along?

Some might to lazy but to be sincere I dont blame those who believe cryptocurrency investment to be exhausting and it's true unless we want to lie to ourselves because 90% of all crypto investors had enough sleep ever since they joined the space while the remaining percent that dont know about the market opportunities had 6-8hours sleep.
if there's no creation of bots that ease the working of some traders and investors the exhausting level will be more than what we're seeing now.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do your parents invest in bitcoin ? on: May 22, 2024, 04:16:26 PM
Are your parents investing in bitcoin ? Has it impacted your journey with crypto ?
My parent is not into tech or any online activities due to their age they both dont see anything special about Bitcoin but that may change in the future though and if the change happens the only person I strongly believe will invest in Bitcoin is my Dad based on his curiosity about new opportunities which I believe is the gene I get from him.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [AIRDROP] DEFIWAY launches AIRDROP CONTEST on Zealy/Tide on: May 21, 2024, 02:43:39 PM
I like the aspect of the Defiway decentralized data and protocols services which redefined data ownership, trustless and permission-less environments, and controls, utilization of blockchain and smart contract technologies, etc.
Is there an airdrop for the users of your bridge service just like Uniswap once did?
4  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If all your wages were paid in USDT, would you accept it? on: May 13, 2024, 01:14:18 PM
If your salary was not US dollars, but USDT, would you dare to ask for it? Although USDT can facilitate transfers and cross-border payments, thinking about the fluctuations and risks makes me feel a little panicked! It can’t be used everywhere in daily life, What do you think? Come and chat!
USDT is a stablecoin mostly backed with fiat currency and it also somehow operates in the fiat system because the government has the power to tell the Tether team to freeze your USDT. This is something that has happened several time when the government is hunting for suspects that use USDT, so accepting a wage in USDT is just like accepting wages in USD. However, USDT may experience de-peg if not managed properly or inflation occurs.
5  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cautious of the Web on open source on: May 13, 2024, 11:19:24 AM
So I found out today that Bitget wasn't open source but searching online it usually shows that they open source
Same as trust wallet which was but no longer open source.
Firstly, try to understand how things work with CEX and crypto wallets (which one of them is the Trust wallet you used as a sample). Bitget is a crypto exchange website (technically CEX) and mostly all CEX mobile apps/wallets (whatever you believe them to be) can't be open-source since they work closely with the government rules and regulations making their app open-source like them showing you how the government treats your personal data.

This is evidence that not everything read online is correct. Some sites even consider Ethereum as the most decentralized cryptocurrency.
I believe many had experienced cases similar to this before
Ethereum is no longer a decentralized crypto ever since they changed their crypto consensus mechanisms

Back to the topic
To find out if a platform is really open source
Search for them on github and check their repository or code to see if it's public or private
Public means is open sourced while private means closed.
Take notice of the date too
Some that were open source like Trustwallet might still leave their previous code online
Despite it already been changed.
There you can find yourself rather than relying on answers from the web.

DYOR is underrated.
Thats but a wallet being an open-source does not mean it is also safe to use either.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Please, I urge you to buy bitcoin! on: April 25, 2024, 01:39:03 AM
Bitcoin is freedom guys!

Twenty One Million whole parts to freedom, with billions of people on this One planet...

What are you waiting for  Huh

Fun fact: That piece of paper is up for auction I think!
With what is happening in the government monetary system and how the fiat currency is automatically losing its value every year I don't think it's even nice to urge anyone to buy Bitcoin cause only the dumb person won't buy Bitcoin in the first place. If the Banking institutions and giant investment organizations are not buying Bitcoin through ETF anyone in his right mind will know there's something about BTC that makes Banks, BlackRock, and Fidelity invest in it.

7  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be careful about some messages to your DM on: April 09, 2024, 04:50:35 PM
Based on the message posted by the user accused, CryptoPotato is indeed a well-known crypto news platform but there's a chance that you're right about your accusation toward the user in the subject since he/she never comes out to clear the air.

I'm sure if you use and make some changes to beginner DMs, you won't receive messages from beginners anymore, I'm sure this feature is useful for you and anyone who is annoyed by unknown messages.
Yes, you're right but the accused user is a full member user and the only he won't receive a message from the user is probably by adding him to his ignore list.
8  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I own Bitcoin from 2009/2010 I know my seed phrase I need help loging in pls hlp on: April 09, 2024, 04:27:20 PM
In 2009/2010 was it possible to create your own seed phrase ?

The seed phrase you said you have from your 2009/2010 is enough for you to access the old wallet. Do you by any chance know the wallet you used back then maybe it is old blockchain.info?
Check https://github.com/blockchain/unused-My-Wallet/blob/master/mnemonic_words_v3.html to see if those seed phrase words belong to it.
I don't know how developed the system was then but it's possible to create your seed phrase if you follow the right procedure.

12  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Early-stage fintech web3 neobank is looking for venture and angel investors. on: April 06, 2024, 04:24:19 PM
Discover a game-changing opportunity in neobanking. Check out our pitch deck now! And consider an exclusive limited-time offer inside.

http://tinyurl.com/yczk4kup

First, you said the fintech name was Web3 NeoBank but after looking at the PDF file you added what I see is Nostro Bank.
Second, this is the year 2024 and according to my research, Neo Bank is one of the old projects that was created to treat cryptocurrency the exact way the institutional banks operated. Why would anyone ignore the freedom and liberation they are getting through the decentralized project and choose centralized of course only newbie crypto investors will do that.
13  Other / Meta / Re: What is the policy regarding AI generated images on the forum? on: April 06, 2024, 03:57:45 PM
Lately I've been generating images with AI on a private level and for entertainment. It has occurred to me that at some point I might add some to a post but I would like to be clear that I am not breaking any rules. In any case it would be as an addition to what I write and making clear that it is an image generated with AI.
The last time I checked th forum didn't have a policy about AI-generated images while there's a policy for AI-generated content to prevent plagiarism and voxxing.
Therefore, if the AI-generated image is not used for a contest where it's forbidden to use I don't see you breaking any rules.
14  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for April on: April 05, 2024, 11:31:05 PM
Bitcoin should have easily closed above $75K before now but the auction and selling of the illegal BTC acquired by the government and some negative news are what is causing the current bearish we're seeing in the market lately.
Nevertheless, it is just creating the chance of buying the dip before the major market break out which will be caused by the BTC halving.
15  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What's happening to kucoin? on: April 02, 2024, 09:40:05 PM
Just searched about KuCoin, and I'm seeing some disturbing news about their founders being charged by the Justice Department for violating some laws.

Does anyone know more about this? What implications could this have on the CEX, especially now that they're targeted in the US?

https://www.justice.gov/usao-sdny/pr/prominent-global-cryptocurrency-exchange-kucoin-and-two-its-founders-criminally
Don't be surprised since KuCoin is the leading CEX that supported privacy and the plan of the government/BlackRock, ever since the Bitcoin spot ETF was approved is to take down the top cryptocurrency exchange in the market so that their exchange or institutional banks can take over.
I believe this is just the beginning, I hope KuCoin won't be guilty of the accusation.

16  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥🔥🔥 BC.GAME - CASINO AND SPORTSBOOK | $1,000 GIVEAWAY LIVE! 🔥🔥🔥 on: April 02, 2024, 04:08:50 PM
My deposit has been credited now. Thanks everyone for the help and reassurance that it would work out.
I just need to figure out how to get  the withdrawal done now
Happy to see that your deposit has been credited already and your issue has been fixed for now. Now, all you have to do is enjoy and hope you'll get some nice wins.
Despite the holidays, the fund issue case was treated within 5 days that's awesome, and hope the issue won't change the good impression he had about the casino cause I have never experienced such an issue in BC and the deposit is almost instant so is the withdrawal.
17  Other / Meta / Re: What do you think if Bitcointalk accepted videos? on: April 01, 2024, 08:34:09 PM
The idea of the forum supporting the addition of videos is a good one but there should be a certain restriction for newbies in using the features and the forum should prevent autoplay of the video and download which is so annoying whenever I use some online website.
Another one is to prevent the user from using the video features to send malicious attacks which could lead to lost of crypto.

19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Craig Wright Satoshi Claim Case Update on: March 31, 2024, 11:22:04 PM
Craig Wright was told to provide Wright with a clear explanation of all his assets as early as possible. The return date is Friday 12 April 2024, with the
provision of information due by 4 pm on Friday 5 April, and the Affidavit due by 4 pm on Wednesday 10 April.
by losing the case, he has to pay the lawyers costs of COPA, so they want to know his financial position (possibility of being paid £6.7m($8.5m))

12. Understandably, that gave rise to serious concerns on COPA’s part that Dr Wright was
implementing measures to seek to evade the costs consequences of his loss at trial.
I think he has already said he has millions because I saw in today's news headline that "U.K. court freezes £6M of Craig Wright’s assets amid Bitcoin creator claim"

Craig Wright was told to provide Wright with a clear explanation of all his assets as early as possible. The return date is Friday 12 April 2024, with the
provision of information due by 4 pm on Friday 5 April, and the Affidavit due by 4 pm on Wednesday 10 April.

Here is the full detailed pdf file.
I think in the end it will just be a waste of time with unnecessary talk.
From the beginning we already know that in the end Craig Wright is not Satoshi so why push too hard because in the end everything will remain the same where Satoshi cannot be claimed by anyone.
I'm actually not too interested in this kind of thing because I think it's just a way to get more sensation for some people including Craig Wright.

We don't need to waste time looking further into this because the result will still be the same where Craig Wright will not be able to become Satoshi no matter how hard he tries to force himself with his claim, it will just be nonsense.
Yes, we know Craig Wright is not Satoshi but what I don't understand is his real motive and the reason why he still has to lie under oath multiple times when he fully knows he can't win.
The question I always ask myself is that he's trying to be popular even though that's the fact there are ways to be popular rather than doing it dubiously.

20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Craig Wright Satoshi Claim Case Update on: March 29, 2024, 03:05:07 AM
In the High Court of Justice Business and Property of England and Wales yesterday COPA which is Crypto Open Patent Alliance the team formed by Square, Inc., Payward Ventures, Inc. (DBA Kraken), Microstrategy, Inc., and Coinbase, Inc.
Submitted a claim that Craig Wright lied and double-down on his lies, on a grand scale that he's Satoshi Nakamoto that he has given extensive and elaborate dishonest evidence under oath in multiple sets of proceedings, and also considers that he (Craig Wright) forged documents, plus changed his story several times.

Craig Wright was told to provide Wright with a clear explanation of all his assets as early as possible. The return date is Friday 12 April 2024, with the
provision of information due by 4 pm on Friday 5 April, and the Affidavit due by 4 pm on Wednesday 10 April.
