1141  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Bisq - Exchange, Decentralized. on: March 14, 2020, 12:52:16 PM
Read that this decentralized exchange supported national fiat currencies. Could you provide me the list and does the exchange support bank transfer (i mean if i sell my crypto for fiat on there will i be able to withdraw the fiat into my bank account)?

hi, not sure what country are you from?

you can first check on the Bisq website if your fiat currency is supported:
https://bisq.network/markets/

in general, you can sell your crypto for fiat, another person on Bisq is buying from you and pays for it into your bank account, and after the money arrived you send the bitcoins.
it all depends on your bank and your country/fiat currency. many countries and banks or payment services are supported. so you may be able to receive payments.
Ok but despite the exchange is said to be decentralized, i dont feel quite easy with the part of trading with another person which may somehow have my bank information or that not how it works?

Have a question about restoring old wallet. After gettng old wallet DAT file what is the next procedure cause I'm lost there and none of you guys said something about it.
Read post#4, you need to copy it to the data directory and rename the wallet file into "wallet.dat" (Bitcoin Core have to be shutdown before proceeding).
And Core should rescan when you launch it.

The default directories written there are simplified,
for Windows, %appdata% is in your hidden C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming folder;
or just type %appdata% in the run menu (Win+R), the open "bitcoin".
I guess i missunderstand the #4 post cause you said anything like restore the old wallet but i would like to know if the same process can be use for other BTC wallet (electrum).

1145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SCAM ICOs, what we can do? on: January 30, 2020, 08:28:49 PM
Unfortunately, there have no way to punish them. They use fake identity. Many newbies fall in scam. We can ignore there project and Who promote scam project we can report them.
You can punish them though by making theif effort be in vain if newbies choose to chase adequate knowledge and understand about crypto investment rather running after the effort and benefit.
1146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is it worth to invest in Dash coin? on: January 30, 2020, 07:50:10 PM
My belief and understanding, every long-existing decentralized cryptocurrency that still maintain to be among top 100 coins on capital market worth to invest in but we're in bitcoin season now and the best coin to invest in now is bitcoin.

I actually want to have a sport betting analysis site which will also list genuine crypto sport betting site and fiat but I need a guide about what I need to do in other not to get scam.
I will want the site to be good like sofascore site.

What do you mean "not order to get scam"? You want a paid service right away after you build the site and shares your analysis?

Create a site using a famous site builder with free hosting as a start. Making blogs will work too. From there build it up and add some useful contents on the site. Advertise your site on a sports section at any forum. That will take a long process before you can get a nice visitors and good impressions so you just need to continue.
Thanks for the information and merry Christmas 🎄

But I'm not a tech guy which is why I need advise from experience user of the forum what are the basic step I need to do to achieve my dream and to avoid being scam.
I believe you mean what methods to prevent "being scammed".

1. Make sure you use a proper hardware wallet. Ledger Nano, Keepkey are good options for that. Check it yourself what suits you. Store your coins there and you wont have to keep storing private keys anywhere else.
2. Never send coins to anyone whom you talk to in the internet. Scammers are everywhere trying to use confidence tricks to lure you into sending them money first. They may even tempt you to give them say 0.01 BTC and promise a return of 10 BTC. Seems tempting? Its actually a scam to steal your 0.01 BTC.
3. If you use Telegram make sure to keep your Settings with privacy setting to the maximum. Scammers are rampant in Telegram these days.
4. Do NOT trust anybody on the internet, not even in this forum. < Paranoid but its true if you want to keep your money safe.

Last but not the least good luck on you sports prediction aggregator site. Make sure you set up referral links to get traffic and some passive income!
If you have any other questions feel free to ask. I will try to answer as far as my knowledge goes.

1152  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: UNABLE TO UPDATE ELECTRUM WALLET on: May 16, 2019, 01:56:20 PM
You should be able to install the new version on top of the older one without having the wallet files being deleted so that's odd... especially that the files are there and it says the password is incorrect.

If you have the seed from your old wallet, try to use it to restore it and restore the wallet.
After I install the wallet I dont see any process I have to follow to restore the wallet with my private keys or seeds.
What do i have to do?

Open Electrum again, and type any random name in the wallet field, It should give you something like this:

Click next => Standard wallet => I already have a seed. Type it and you should be good to go.

It works! Thank you so much but I would like to know if this forum is save for newbie because you actually help me while user "racquemis" is trying to take advantage of me through PM by sending scam link to download electrum 3.3.6.

If 3.3.4 was working, why upgrade is the question.
What I know is that it better to use an update version of wallet to avoid any kind of error.
1155  Bitcoin / Electrum / UNABLE TO UPDATE ELECTRUM WALLET on: May 14, 2019, 03:31:09 PM
Hi Everyone,
I'm having problem in updating my electrum wallet 3.3.4 to 3.3.5, having downloaded the 3.3.5 version and installed it either but when I click on it to use the previous password of the 3.3.4 it says incorrect password.
Is there something i'm not doing right?

Thanks.
