401  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Early Profit can be misleading. on: April 12, 2023, 11:15:25 PM
What I consider to be misleading is a newbie trader not having the required knowledge to conduct thorough research using the fundamental and technical analysis before trading and also choosing altcoin instead of Bitcoin at the early stage of their trading journey.
Another mistake that I believe is misleading for newbie traders is not choosing a reputable and secure trading platform.
402  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Any website to compare 2 different currency prices over time vs USD? on: April 12, 2023, 10:29:37 PM
I can see that you have been provided with the needed answer and Coinmarketcap is the only site I can recommend.
With that being said. Why would you compare Bitcoin with other altcoins when you can invest mainly in Bitcoin to secure your investment since the current market trend is determined by the price momentum Bitcoin displays in the market?
403  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Shiba Inu still worth it? on: April 12, 2023, 10:03:33 PM
It depends on the market situation if the bulls returns then meme coins has a high chance of doubling their price or more but on the other hand if the bears kicks in then there are not worth investing in.I personally don't invest in meme coins but I know people who have made crazy profits investing in such projects.

Yeah, also there is a big chance that it will pump 10x or so, and the go back and will never come back. We've seen it with DOGE already, I don't think you should wait for something good from a memecoin.
Investing in Memecoin carries significant risks, and you should consider going for Bitcoin, ETH, BNB, and other altcoins with utility that's strong than meme coin which is almost hype base and barely makes a $1 price. Besides, I consider meme coin as a joke coin because there foundation was built on something tricky.
404  Economy / Gambling / Re: A way to attract new users or a misunderstanding? on: April 12, 2023, 09:31:10 PM

You are absolutely correct. I believe 80% of all newbies are not interested in doing some research about the fundamental concept of Web 2.0, 2.5, and 3.0. There's no one to be blamed for the naive and this is the exact reason a shady casino that was tagged on this forum still manages to lure the new victim that didn't do some research about the casino before using it.
Yeah, we may blame it on the laziness on the part of the players to do some extra findings about the casino they're about to make deposits and play on, but that is also a small segment of what really drags people into falling victim to scams most especially newbies, this is because most newbies just go ahead to click any signature with more visibility or higher rank promoting it so this lead me to ask you this question.

If you blame the newbies for not doing and extra research, what about the members but high and low ranks who knownly promote thos scam casinos?
You're right and that's another thing the newbie needs to take into consideration before playing on any casino that's advertised on this forum since the forum doesn't moderate scams and I believe this is to maintain the decentralized and privacy in this forum. However, it's not hard to know about scam casinos on this forum judging by the forum's powerful backlink.

406  Economy / Gambling / Re: A way to attract new users or a misunderstanding? on: April 11, 2023, 10:30:55 PM
I don't think the gambling site that claimed to be a web 3.0 gambling website misunderstands the concept of Web 3.0. I believe they only apply web 3.0 just to gain more traffic while they only focus on the cryptocurrency and individual non-custodial wallet use on their platform while they ignore the control of personal data and decentralization.
Any company tries to show a little more about their company in their marketing to get traffic. Use the trending news to attract gamblers to what is currently trending in the market. Nowadays, many casinos claim that their websites are Web 3:0, but in reality they are not completely sure of their claims. So it falls into misrepresentation to register gamblers in any casino by marketing with false claims.
I don't think it was actually that they are not sure about their claims. Web 3.0 is something a cryptocurrency newbie can understand just by doing something research, the goal of the casino that guilt of fake claims is to drive more traffic in a shady way.
Newbies are not interested in researching something new, so they get interested in something when they see it even without knowing details about it. As a result, the various projects believe that what they claim is true, they get the traffic they expect. So marketing with such fake claims will continue and they will also bring traffic to their website.

407  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Centralized Exchange and Decentralized Exchange on: April 11, 2023, 10:05:43 PM
Some of them are been deceived by the words. Most centralized exchange confused their customers to make them believe that they are running a decentralized exchange.
There's nothing like deception there because the modes of operation of Centralized and decentralized exchange are totally different and it is only the newbies that don't do their homework that can be deceived.

Centralized Exchange is an exchange that is own by someone and it is used for the purchase of crpytocurrency and also for the selling of crpytocurrency. In this exchange,a third party is needed to help customers keep their funds, for easy transactions between one another. That is,someone is in charge of every transaction made by conducting the transaction. Examples of centralized exchanges are Binance, Remittano e.t.c.
Both DEX and CEX are owned by someone and both exchange somehow link the buyer and seller. However, all the fund in CEX is controlled by the exchange while DEX operates with a self-custodial wallet.

You're contradicts yourself, Web 3.0 casino isn't only let anyone to gamble through their non custodial wallet, but they also must not ask anyone KYC, not restrict someone due to blacklisted countries, multiple accounts, VPN usage, and they should be transparent with their total holdings etc.

If the casino only let anyone to gamble through their non custodial wallet and ignore the rest thing, it's just a centralized casino with little improvement.
I am not contradicting myself, is either you don't read to understand what i wrote well because I used the statement "while they ignore the control of personal data and decentralization." to point out the KYC you're talking about.
409  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Resource Control in Africa on: April 09, 2023, 11:23:11 PM
I think the major problem of most African countries is the political thief and the corruption system of their political leader. An example is countries like Botswana which is richly blessed with diamonds but the people especially those working on the diamond farm are still suffering.
A political system imported from foreign lands.

Africa or all any other colonized native lands and tribes were never ready for the so-called modern politics. I think they were doing so well with their kingdoms and monarchies. Everything kings and chiefs would do would be for the good of their native people or tribes

Not acting as corrupt puppets of foreign powers like the current politicians do so that they can make a cut in dollars or Euros.

When you said Africa was never ready for modern politics. Can you tell me why they choose to go for independence when they are not ready? At least a kid that went to school has to graduate before proceeding to the next level. Let's agree they are not ready but they still choose to do some corrections by learning more about the modern politics from people that colonized them if they want something good for their people not just to steal country money.
410  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: one mistake that crypto beginners should be aware of ? on: April 08, 2023, 10:31:04 PM
There are a lot of mistakes being made by crypto beginners. I think they made mistakes like choosing an inappropriate crypto exchange platform, thinking only about pricing instead of ROIS, lack of research and planning, and underestimating cyber security. If they were aware of such things, it will be more beneficial for them.

Elementary monitoring of exchanges will help you choose the best option, which is not the biggest mistake that a beginner should be worried about. A bigger mistake would be to store coins on the exchange after purchase, as well as choose an exchange that requires verification. Every mistake we make is an experience, as many of us learned from the very beginning.
Elementary monitoring of exchange is still never a good idea for the beginner that's going to invest in the altcoin market that's known for being high manipulated market. The altcoin use case its market capitalization, historical data, the team, and the community supporting the project still need to be put into concern.
411  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Resource Control in Africa on: April 08, 2023, 10:11:59 PM
The continent of Africa has many natural resources, ranging from crude oil to natural stones, but there are no leaders who can demand processing of the majority of the natural resources.
I think the major problem of most African countries is the political thief and the corruption system of their political leader. An example is countries like Botswana which is richly blessed with diamonds but the people especially those working on the diamond farm are still suffering.
412  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the government can really make a way to end poverty or it depends on us? on: April 08, 2023, 09:58:25 PM
The government is obliged to provide the means to eradicate poverty but its in the hands of the people if they will do their part as citizens of the government which will help them to be one step away from poverty. So I believe everything still relies from the decision of the citizens. Otherwise, if they chose not to move and not doing any job that will provide them source of income, they will never get rid of poverty and will never experience changes in their lives.
The government can only oblige to eradicate poverty but they can not do it alone, they still need the collaboration of international aid agencies and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to provide assistance that will eradicate poverty. Therefore people also need to create some that will increase job availability.

414  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the government can really make a way to end poverty or it depends on us? on: April 03, 2023, 10:53:47 PM
The government that the interest of the people at heart will provide the service that will make life easier for people through the provision of social amenities, economic growth, and empower people through job creation but no government can end poverty.
Ending poverty depends on us.
415  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you believe racism has come to stay!! ? on: April 03, 2023, 10:28:10 PM
racism should never be a choice for anyone one of us no matter what had happened in the past.
I know there are some countries that are very discriminating so with that, we don't need to worry much since the world in revolving and it will get to a time when people will have good reasons to love there brother no matter the colour.
You make the statement of people not worry about the people who are very discriminating about racism because you haven't experienced it before and when we're talking about racism it's not something that affects the black only it also affects Asian that live in the US and a lot of people have lost their lives to this course.
Racism has come to stay and we need to work on genuine solutions that will stop it so the world would be a better place for all of us.

417  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: +0.54056624 BTC Scam mail on: April 02, 2023, 09:29:33 PM
I don't know if any one have raised this alarm here.

Avoid such mails they are all scam

I have been receiving this mail lately and I don't always give a f*ck to it because I don't have account with any platform neither am I expecting any form of payment from any one to any platform, so I total discard the message and trash them at the end even as they keep on coming in.
You are getting the email because you have used your email to register on crypto-related platforms that verbatim sell their user email addresses or you participated in some airdrop.

Yesterday a friend of mine told me how he fell victim of the scam, he also got same email with a tempting amount 0.5+ BTC his greed could not let him let go off the mail he decided to open the link and undergo all their process, and the BTC moved from 0.5 to 1btc + which was worth about $38k according to the screenshots sent over to me  when it was ready for withdrawal, he was as asked to make a payment of $64+ seeing the huge amount of money on the fake platform and his eagger to withdrawal 30k plus  dollars he, made a move purchase Bitcoin from Binance and make deposit to their generated address.
You ought to spank your friend's butt really bad. How could he believe there's a chance for him to get 0.5BTC he didn't work for out of the thin air?
The strategy used to scam your friend is a Bitcoin bonus scam on another level.

418  Economy / Economics / Re: Should you save, when you are wealthy? on: April 01, 2023, 09:31:08 PM
Everyone who wants to create a fortune has a long way to go, first we need to learn how to earn, save and then learn how to make money work for us.
Everybody needs to learn how to earn but saving is a long-term ago scam strategy we are thought in school to believe saving is one of the ways to build wealth.
Saving is the mental thinking of poor people, the wealthy invest in assets instead of saving their fun and living on loans to be task free.

Looks like it's all spammers here.  Angry

Not everyone here is a spammer! Some of us are genuinely interested in cultivating a positive reputation and contributing to constructive discussions.  Wink

From what I notice I believe only users who are able to solve the "New Captcha game which is said to be required before posting are those that didn't have the "This user is a suspected spammer!" above their posts.
See Meser# as an example.
