1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Day streaming as gambler experience on: May 25, 2024, 05:43:24 PM
Do you think it is a bad thing to do, promoting gambling?

Is not a bad thing to do because you're making this in the best of your interest and also to promote your service, we can make promotions of either ways in favour of what we do and the channels we have in considerations, so i don't think its a bad thing to do neither was it something you cannot do at all cost in other to be able to meet up with your targets, this will help you achieve the best result and meet up to expectations.
2  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why trading and not something else? on: May 25, 2024, 04:33:03 PM
People are trading because they wanted to earn and make money from doing so, but some have forgotten on how they can start a successful trade without having to risk loosing their entire capital investment on it when they are quite aware of the challenges in volve in doing trades plus the way they are going to trade safe, which all make it more important that we start trading with the amount we can afford to lose after which learning has been experienced.
3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can soccer players collaborate with gamblers to help them win there bet? on: May 24, 2024, 03:05:27 PM
Lucas paqueta just got charged by the FA for allegedly bridging betting rules. According to report, it's believed that he intentionally took yellow cards in some key matches just so some gamblers can profit from there betting.

This is just a simple illustration on working under assumption because there is no base on which the fact about the player action could be established, they may thought about the reason for his action whereas that is not the actual condition of what led to the action he made, we cannot fully predict on the real situation except that we heard it from the player himself, and i dot think what they receives as player is that small compared to the action they may acted leading to such penalty.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DeFi, AI, NFT & Gaming on Bitcoin is a scam? on: May 24, 2024, 01:47:18 PM
I'm doubt that DeFi, AI, NFT & Gaming on Bitcoin will be success .. What do you really think about these narratives called Layer 2 And Defi on Bitcoin?

I will only have to say this that you should trust the bitcoin network, bitcoin itself and any other thing concerning defi and third parties offers should be on your own risk, though i want to believe that the use of bitcoin layer two is another entire thing different from what you're comparing it with other networks, especially, you need to be careful in dealing with tokens, they are not all bad, but many were scam.

I have a younger brother who lives in the US and yesterday he told me about a call he received saying that he can get his lost coins back and all he needs to do is submit his wallet address.

This may not actually be about you this time around, but you can agree that so many have been attacked through related means by many of these fraudsters, we just need to be careful and being observant as well as not to be greedy, also know that we cant have our transaction reversed once it was made, and no recovery service for such.

I need to ask about what could possibly go wrong if he submit a wallet address? I did told him to submit a random wallet address that is empty with no single transactions in the past though but I can't stop thinking what this could lead to.

They cannot do anything only with the use of the wallet address, unless they have the private keys with them, another thing they may try to do is in attacking using a dust transaction method, whereby they will make a deposit later to that same address from a similar one and then wait for such perfect timing that will make them strike an attack the moment he made a mistake of sending through the transaction history wallet address to a wrong identical one from them.
6  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Tradding Vs Saving, which is the safest way to build crypto holdings on: May 23, 2024, 01:57:21 PM
If you're a newbie, then i will advise you not to trade, instead hold first and learn how to do so, get familiar with the crypto industry and take your time till you're being able to afford for making trade and taking risk in doing that, instead i do advise some to only invest in bitcoin and wait for some time while their asset increases in value since its on a volatile market, then later when they have gathered enough information and resource that can make afford to go for trade, they may start with as little to avoid high cost on loss.

To me, they can utilize these so called free money by adding it up to their Bitcoin portfolio or even used it to spend on necessary things instead of dedicating to lavish it on gambling.

Of course any of those coins or tokens including airdrop earned could be turned to an investment by exchanging them into bitcoin, why many don't bother their self much on these is because of the reward being received to be too small in other for them to be able to convert into bitcoin knowing well that there are considered amount is not worth the minimum exchange rate.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is more than a currency or security, it's scarcity. on: May 22, 2024, 07:49:25 AM
What you just mentioned is part of the things we have in consideration for the adoption of bitcoin over the fiat traditional system and currencies because the monetary policies with governments are what permits for the continuous printing of fiat currency and that is why you could discover the unending increase on inflation rate over the economy and this is really affecting local currencies and economic growth, while the masses are most affected, but innother to evade this effect, people were adopting for the use of cryptocurrency for thier own personal advantage after they discovered it's benefits.

11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino Gambling vs Sport Betting, Lets Discuss on: May 21, 2024, 03:13:10 PM
Betting is still Gambling if this is what you imply. There are cases where some people still argue that sports betting is just like rooting for their favorite team but obviously when there is money involved and you agree to a contract that you win or lose money in a bet means it's gambling.

I get your point from this and understand the perspective which you're taking it from, some believed that either of them all could also be called or referred to as gambling, whereas some have been saying, sport betting is not gambling, but what I see here is that we all should understand is the difference between "gambling" as in quote from "casino gambling" or gambling games, which should have the facts that differentiate them from each other, jist as I've explained and as others have termed each on different categories, they are not the same.
12  Other / Meta / Re: Why not temporary ban coinmapai199264? on: May 21, 2024, 02:21:47 PM
The moderators can dish out a temporary or permanent ban only when the offense committed by the user involved is satisfactory enough to meet up to that kind of decision, I think for now, he has been enjoying the grace of having deleted posts, I believe that one day, something will still push him to commit what will attract having a ban on his account, after all, everything he is posting could be accounted for using ninjastic thread, let's just keep reporting till he finally landed himself where he never expected, there are many other members like that yet to be discovered.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If this is doable what will you add or remove? on: May 21, 2024, 01:49:58 PM
Let's all pretend to be a developer for today, and I have a question for you all.

If you are to add 1 thing to Bitcoin what will it be? And also if you are to remove just one thing from Bitcoin what will it be?

I will like the issue of transaction inputs to be addressed and how such could be consolidated in such a way that everything will be the best interest of the bitcoin users, and also, the way whereby the transaction fee will not be a challenge anymore with or without the influence of inscribed ordinance, lastly, I will like the issue of mixers be addressed and seen ad not a means of harbouring financial fraudulencies, but a go after privacy for every bitcoin users, all these will make the bitcoin network more suitable for use wjen we are having less challenges onbthe network.

Casino Gambling vs Sport Betting, Lets Discuss

The intention of this thread is for interaction and discussion purpose, which i believe that most of us here were on this section because we have been gambling before or are intending to be a gambler, so for learning purpose, i will like us to give our genuine opinion on what we understand by the two comparison of what sport betting is and what casino gambling also, this will help familiarized our new gamblers in having more understanding on their differences or similarities for the purpose of knowledge.

Starting from my own end, here is my definition and understanding between the two.

Casino Gambling involves Playing games that are base on luck factor and sometimes our skills also work out in this, it does not involve live event.

Sport Betting simply means, playing on live matches which involves you and a particular player or team against each other.

And as according to research, you can also see the various opinions given on what the two stands for and their respective examples in which constitute each category.

16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The best Wager Strategy? on: May 20, 2024, 03:10:29 PM
It is totally different to place bets chasing profit than bet to level up your account, people want to get a better VIP status on the casinos because there is a prize for each level and some other benefits.

Its good that we build our profile with he casino gambling platforms, also we can decide to hold a VIP status because of how fervent and frequent we have been using the particular platform including the wager amount made consistently, however, concerning al these, that doesn't still change anything about the risk in gambling or the way they can treat us whenever we have issues with them on the same platform, they are there to make money and regard their protocols fist than any other thing.
17  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Seeing is no longer believing on: May 20, 2024, 02:14:58 PM
At first I don't believe this until later on, a guy from my local Crypto WhatsApp group lost close to 18k in dollars to scammers, this is a guy who have been a victim of some past scams and jave learned from it all, thinking he has passed been scammed until now.

Don't get easily convinced by people you meet and interact with, some of them were on a mission to know your vulnerability and use such in setting up their attack, i will also give this warning that we need to be careful on the kind of crypto groups which we belong, if we are not familiar with many of the members on that same group, then we should find a means of exit from the group except we are sure of being on the right and official group page of the intended platform, scammers are impersonating now.

19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My favorite loser on: May 18, 2024, 02:30:43 PM
Do you also have any favorite losers to bet against for profit?

We may try to see it from the aspect of making profits from it, but there is no one who would have been known for being a loser and you discover that such player is still being used continuously in a match, no one will like to go for a poor performance in gambling even though they know that such player would fail, then everyone will bet same and we already know the outcome to such game already, even the best professional players do make mistakes and fail to deliver up to expectations, yet we bet on either winning or loosing on them because of the certain level of confidence we have developed on them.
20  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: When will you start losing trust for an exchange? on: May 18, 2024, 01:37:55 PM
The idea for this discussion come up as I been dey read wetin one of us been write for another topic,
This can not happen but they can not lose trust from the public unless they mismanaged their users funds.
Asides having a legal issue and mismanagement of person money, what other reason fit make you lose trust in an exchange?

Exchanges cannot mismanage our funds, but they can be hacked or demand from us some kind of annoying KYC informations upon our account, also, they can reveal our private and personal information to a third party and they use such by themself against us a they may wish, lastly, if anything should happen to the exchange like bankruptcy, our money with them are gone.
