341  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: As you dey compliant for the country you follow dey make am worse? on: January 15, 2024, 03:10:36 PM
Most of us are used to this kind of habit of complaining in everything around us, we complained about the people, government or the standard of living and other economic activities governed by human act, we don't know that the more we are getting used to this kind of life we will not be able to identify one single thing which is wrong and being able to take up the challenge in fixing it up, we neglect somethings we can do for our own little efforts to focus on other's, things like this is part of what makes life unfair to some other people.
342  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Our naija and cryptocurrency on: January 15, 2024, 12:33:01 PM
Mata carry am say even our C.B.N neva accept am as legal tender

CBN are not the one to approve bitcoin as a legal tender, the government will have to do that, but we are not much anticipated on that as before since the first step had been granted permission for, which is Bitcoin being recognized as a legal digital currency everyone can use.

Now despite this, the very educated literates and financial guru for obodo-naija know the impact of this cryptocurrency thing and how e fit transform lifes basically through investing in them

Not only the elites identified our that bitcoin is what they need, it's something that every person who identified something wrong with the fiat financial system wants to see happened, those that want change are indeed in need of bitcoin, this is what cryptocurrency has brought our ways, we have the freedom alternative of with bitcoin.
343  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Know when to stop on: January 13, 2024, 03:08:10 PM
its important to not gamble more than you can afford to lose

Many will have this wrong motive that the more they keep gambling the more likely their winning chances increases which is completely wrong mentality, we shouldn't have taken such action in the first place, if we do then we should conclude our minds on wether it works out as planned or not, so when we gamble and loose the bet, we shouldn't feels bad about that, it has always been the same thing we know to have happened repeatedly.
344  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: ⚠️ Freewallet: the scam project that threatens thousands of customers on: January 13, 2024, 02:34:39 PM
This is unthinkable! I sent the company a photo of my ID and a selfie with a piece of paper with my name written on it. But even this did not help to unlock access to the wallet

They wouldn't, the best thing is never to have their kind with our asset, there's no amount of what you have provided that can make them accept to give you access to your asset, we have to always take good observations on choosing a platform or wallet to use before we becauses their victim, alot of people have already fallen to this kind and couldn't recover from their first experience with them, this could be so annoying and disappointing.
345  Economy / Speculation / Re: BitcoinETF approval will possibly cause much bigger jump than most people expect on: January 13, 2024, 01:04:55 PM
Of course, a rejection could result in a very big dump due to insurmountable disappointment as well.
As always: no investement advice because trading is very risky.

With the current market bear we are having, the price is going dip and more than expected, I have a feeling already, which is giving me notion that haven't the bull market happened right before the approval of the bitcoin ETF we are all talking about, or this is just a way to get more adequate preparations before the start of the bullrun, should we actually expect more bull market to come before the halving or we might remains bearish till the halving is done.
346  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Why people dey fear to invest in Bitcoin and crypto? on: January 13, 2024, 10:11:43 AM
Many people just get this belief say since nah wetin concern internet them no fit do anything called investment, unknowing to them that is the best place to invest on.
Even my uncle's saw it as a scamming thing, but they never knew it's the best place you can save any amount of your income in life.
And still have access to your money at anytime you need  access to your investment. You all should invest online and see how your life will change for good.

People have to exercise fear probably because they have been scammed before or they don't want to risk any chances of being scammed at all, once they hear anything that has to do with digital network, scam is the next thing that rang on their minds, I won't blame them because they don't want to loose the little they ha e while trying to earn more from it, but that's not an excuse to make for not being successful in life when we are not liable for taking risk.
347  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: What is your reason for not identifying in the Nigerian LB? on: January 13, 2024, 08:47:20 AM
Those that have taken it a consideration to appear here have nothing to loose neither those that didn't show up as long as they are active online and are making quality contributions, the reason for having a local board is just to have members who find it difficult to comprehend speaking or hearing English language have no language barrier for them to be able to express themselves on the forum in making their quality contributions, so if someone is fine and good with English language, there may be no need of expressing their interest on LB except they wish, moreover not everyone like that kind of personal interactions with other members, while some are just ok with English language.
348  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit gamble! Easy or Hard? Let's talk. on: January 12, 2024, 07:00:46 PM
there are still many who can't understand and play it correctly, because maybe they think they're right with the goal of winning, even though what is clear is that the results cannot be predicted, right? ?
Sometimes people play a lot for fun but have no control over the time and amount of bets, this is wrong and will lead them to experience bad things in their lives later. Therefore, in playing gambling well, you don't need to overdo your pursuit of victory, especially considering that gambling can make a lot of money, which is a wrong idea.
That's because they have a goal to win the gambling game, so they have difficulty stopping gambling, and their intention to stop gambling will just disappear. Moreover, if they can win, they will intend to continue gambling again to get another win. They don't realize that it will pose a greater risk, especially if they have already won, but instead want to go back to gambling again. People who have a lot of time and spend gambling will slowly experience problems that they might not have expected. They don't think they will get a problem like that, so they can't solve it. They just think that gambling can get rid of the problem even though it doesn't. We must prevent ourselves from gambling again, especially when we have won, to avoid greater risks.
And what it is even worse is that in their minds their actions make sense, which can be infuriating for those that may want to help them to stop, because if they were able to find a way to beat the casinos then the more they gamble the higher the chances of winning, but it turns out that the majority of the methods a gambler may develop to beat the casinos do not work, and they will only find out this is the case after they have lost a lot of money when using all of those methods.

As long as we are having a wrong mentality of what gambling is, we will certainly be doing the wrong things continually, the one that annoys seing are that of the addictive gamblers and those are always chasing after the losses with their mentality of beating against the hose edge, some are even gambling and know nothing much about what they are doing, all they wanted is fun and join the other fellow gamblers gambling.
349  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTC transactions unconfirmed for nearly 2 months. Can't find help. on: January 12, 2024, 06:33:04 PM
Unsure what to do. Sent BTC from external wallet to Cashapp, Cashapp refused them and made me reverse them to a different wallet (Coinbase).

The fees seems to be super low. Can't do RBF and don't know if Coinbase offers CPFP.

With what is happening now with transactions confirmation delay due to high fee rate, it's better to make confirmation on what the transaction fee is on the mempool before starting one, this will allow one of not being stucked along the way, the annoying part is that you cannot boost or pump the fee, I don't know what's actually going to happen, maybe we should expect that such could get confirmed the very moment the mempool has become stable again as before, having cheaper rates for performing transactions.
350  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why I get less batching unlike before on: January 12, 2024, 05:02:20 PM
When I first came into the forum I easily get criticized by my actions, though I still get some sticks now but on a less note, but I have learned.

Do you actually call that batching on you, maybe you feel like you're not been liked by many because of whom you're, but is wasn't so, they are rather correcting the mistakes and errors you made, the batching isn't directly on you but the wrong you might have done, so I don't want you to make it feels offensive on you how you were being corrected for doing wrong, we are here to learn and grow altogether.

I have observed that as a newbie it is more important to learn by reading people post and comment than engaging in it, and for the few months I have been here I have really find it beneficial to me as a person in terms of knowledge about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency at large.
My advice to my fellow newbies is learn to listen more than talking, so that you can learn something new.

There's no how an empty vessel will be able to unleashed a content it doesn't have anything on, when you're a newbie, you will take time to learn before engaging on postings or creating threads, this will help alot because you would have been positioned through your learning periods how to make a quality post, when you learn first, making post will be easy to do, you learn about bitcoin and also the forum altogether.
351  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Bitcoin ETF will make way for altcoins ETF on: January 12, 2024, 04:12:31 PM
The much talked about Bitcoin ETF has finally been approved by the united states' SEC, I know that the development will bring many people to invest in Bitcoin and it will increase the adoption of Bitcoin. Ethereum is also inline to get approval also for ETF, starting in May, this year, if there is no delay and they get it, big companies like blackrock and Invesco, are warming up for Ethereum ETF.

If Ethereum ETF is approved by the US SEC, then it can open the door for other top rated altcoins like BNB, Litecoin, and Solana, to also want to get ETF approvals. Then people can have more to choose for investment. They might become competition for Bitcoin if they get plenty investors

Do you think that this will be a good development if Bitcoin and many altcoins have ETF?

This is not our decision to make, what we really want is about bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies can stand on their own because you can't be arest assured of any cryptocurrency when you can discover something nice about them today and find out another thing entirely different about them tomorrow, remember there are shitcoins, wouldn't they also want to get approval for ETF, there's no how Ethereum can begin and other prominent altcoins will not follow suite.
352  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: All professions are important on: January 12, 2024, 02:53:14 PM
The only thing that makes difference in every profession is our expertise, how experience are we in the area of our profession, are we doing more to learn and advance what we do or we maintain sitting on the same spot over a long period of time, we cannot expect something new without doing something different, we need to always think about making what we do advances to the next stage in life, this is one of the evidence to show how relevant it is and how determined we are in doing what we love doing best through our professions.
353  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think women will make better gamblers by their nature? on: January 11, 2024, 09:36:14 PM
Women by nature are more conservative than men. They are better manager of resources and know how to prioritise things. This is what is needed for successful gambling because with it, the chances of using funds meant for basic needs in gambling will be minimised.

So do you think women will make better gamblers than men?

Without compromise for anything, we all know how women appears in general and they are not that interested in gambling like me do, only few can go for gambling, this is all about their own kind of nature and not that they just wish not to, some of those gambling were doing it by the virtue of them being occupied with something in their hands because a seriously busy womanay not have time for gambling when she can be busy with house chores and the little money she has is better to be used on the family than gambling with what they have earned, this is a very common mentality out women had towards gambling and I can't blame them for it, so my answer is no.
354  Economy / Economics / Re: How to stay poor! on: January 11, 2024, 09:27:51 PM
The easiest way of staying poor are many, but this two are the very common ones, the first one is to remain idle without finding something doing that could help earn a living, instead be moving around like the radio waves without bearing, secondly, is when you think you've got the money but spending it on wasteful things that are not beneficial to you and yet no investment was made in reserve as backup for in case of any emergency.
355  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Hand work and skill or well paid government employee on: January 11, 2024, 09:23:10 PM
I use to advise as many people I have an encounter with about career in life, what I first tell is for the to look beyond the present and set more focus on the future, does the job they wanted to embark on has a future benefits or advantage or they just want to do such and ended up wasting their time to be served nothing at the end, maybe it was tldie to lack of some of these understandings that make some of the senior citizens we see today unable to make life affordable for themselves at old age because they've got nothing to fall back on.
356  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Scam and hack 4 9ja on: January 11, 2024, 09:17:28 PM
Scam happens and are real,if we are never been misfortune for any doesn't mean they don't exist, we should always make sure that we don't get hunted by one out of our careless mistake, also we have to monitor well things we do online, some of us have made ourselves more vulnerable to these scams through various dealings we go through online even without our conscious effort about knowing them to be scam.
357  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Is Investing into crypto really safe? on: January 11, 2024, 09:13:37 PM
When we are talking about cryptocurrency, it's a general term that constitutes all other digital currencies and am sure we may not want to recognize some as currency because they are just a piece of trash or shitcoins, but where to begin with is in the identification of bitcoin as the most recognized digital currency, which we can safely invest and have no fear about what may comes in after, if we don't make research about knowing what to do first, we may ended up wasting time on what is not necessary for us in cryptocurrency.
358  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Am a Beginner on: January 11, 2024, 09:08:48 PM
I thought about also giving you some piece of materials to go and read about bitcoin, but some had already been given to you by the members who already replied to your thread earlier than I, what I have for you is a piece of advice, try to be active on the forum, take out your time in learning about bitcoin both here and on the internet as you may wish to have it, do more of learning and findings than making posts for now and never forget not to plagiarize, follow all other instructions as given already by other members and read every recommended threads as well.
