> should I show my family my seed phrase ?
> If I die who will take over my bitcoin since nobody knows my seed phrase?

Just as from the threads that have already been suggested, where this matter had already been discussed, i expect you to go through them and choose the one that best suit for your decision on how to pass your bitcoin inheritance, but before then, you need to be true to yourself first if you want your family have access to such in the future or not, this depends on the kind of present relationship you both have together now that will determine which step or decision you will make or plan ahead for future sake.
782  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Still A P2P Electronic Cash System ?. on: October 14, 2023, 03:01:26 PM
HODL, bull market, etc isn't bad, but how many of us still talk about using bitcoin as a regular medium of transaction ?.

Understand this one fact about bitcoin that it can serve you on many purpose being a digital currency, an asset and a profitable investment we can hodl, but the idea behind this is that not everyone will be holding up at the same time, and not everyone will be buying at the same time as well, the demand and supply causes the change in them both and determine when people will hodl or Invest and buy bitcoin, yet nothing stops it being a medium of transaction in making payments.
783  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambler avoiding friends after a big win. on: October 13, 2023, 03:43:32 PM
You one should make a big win and is not careful, everything will return back to the way it comes without having a tangible record of how the money was utilized effectively, people tend to celebrate with ones when things are rousy and when it became tough they all disappeared, but one will always be left with three set of people if the worst should happen, they are the family, wife or husband and yourself, so when spending the money also, we should have higher priority on this aforementioned personalities because they will always stand by us even at the peak of worst situation and stop making friends without benefits.
784  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gender in Gambling [differences between Women and Men in Gambling] on: October 13, 2023, 03:14:24 PM
It's not all countries where women are permitted to gamble or do something that such thing is viewed as manly. Again, in restricted countries, we can't expect women to display their betting lifestyle, even though some will still be gambling, but will have to be secretive about it and will only use those accounts that can't be traced to them, and thankfully, there is crypto and the option of VPN.

Aside the fact that women don't personally like gambling, there are other factors like religious or cultural believes that prohibits women participation in gambling or even some sporting activities as the cultural or political law of some countries may states, though we cannot count on this as denial on human rights but just a way to honour women with such a high prestige and esteem in the society.

The downside there is that such restriction would have dissuaded a lot from gambling and many will not know about it till they grow. So what you are not exposed to, you don't get to know or have cravings for it even if you later know.

That's true, you could find out that even in eome of these restricted countries, people still make use of VPN to gamble and some women also engage gambling in their closet, this is all about privacy and choice or decision to make.
785  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How I find it difficult to navigate in the forum on: October 13, 2023, 02:50:38 PM
I joined this forum a few months ago, but I don't know enough about computer-written skills to understand the purposes of most of the written equipment.

OP you need to be patient and give ears to learning and take note of every piece of informations given to you here, if you can know about how to post an image within your first month of joining this forum then if you are interested in learning more, you can get all you so wishes or desires but gradually, there's alot to discover and know about the forum itself not to talk of bitcoin, Rome is not built in a day, continue to explore the more to discover other aspects, make use of the search button as well to narrow your search properly.
786  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Israel -- Hamas War on: October 13, 2023, 02:24:44 PM
If you check this war well, Israel is an ally of USA so one way or the other USA must give aid and if that's is so then there will be massive drop in USA dollar rate at the financial markets due to investors pulling out their investments. During war like this, crypto currency like bitcoin, others paired with USDT and natural element like gold tend to be more valuable because most especially gold can't be affected by war and investors saved their money in gold.

Tips for financial market trade, look for more of buy when the USDT is the quote and look for more of sell when USDT is the base

I dislike coming across one common thing which almost everyone is sometimes involved in this kind of talk, why should we always think that whene there's an uproar of war or communal dispute the first thing rhat we relate to the cause is the US, they have always been the prime suspects of every economic challenges and war, though i understand that they have an international relations with many of these affected countries and also are the world giant when it comes to many economical challenges and political affairs.

But aren't we yet due for a wake up from our slumber, you can't be dependents on someone and anything happening to you not to be traced to your colonial master, we are having freedom but not living in it.
787  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: We don't like discussing bitcoin on: October 13, 2023, 01:58:19 PM
This skip my mind all this why, naija we dont like to discuss more bitcoin,

Not that they don't like bitcoin, you can't just developed interest in bitcoin without going through the learning process, how many people are willing to learn and go through these, despite that you have to understand that Nigeria is one of the countries most anticipated for bitcoin adoption, the level of it awareness to the public is still very low, alot of people were afraid of many things even though they wanted to use bitcoin and know about it, they lack the way or first step to how they can begin, have a reliable information and trust needed from those who have will sacrifice their time in teaching others about bitcoin

Do you know most of us is not into technical, and that is why it's hard before you see our people discussing in a technical board, its few of them that discuss in technical board, summary let concentrate generally in every discipline and make sure that we discuss more of bitcoin in our board.

People aren't used to the whole bitcoin and it's concept yet you're talking about the technical aspects, one needs to understand the basics first before going further to the advanced technical aspects, this is not about making a post alone, but we have to also consider giving the right and constructive information required and from experience.
788  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's a strategy to lose on: October 12, 2023, 05:04:29 PM
Trying to study the repositions in every game isn't just gonna totally increase your chances of winning either... It still relies on how lucky you are... Peeps ain't gonna wager on everything they see on the speculation sheet as you said...but, there's always a way for everything and that's the reasons why we've got different options in the game. It's believed that peeps Will definitely see them predictions differently.

We hqve different ways we see gambling and not to talk about the individual games we play, you're right mate, gambling is most about being lucky, when we place a bet and uses a small amount of money and wins, compared to someone who aleo gambles and uses a big amount to stake his bet, but eventually lost the game, there's no justification for either of the two conditions than how their luck works for them, but when we are gambling, we should focus on the area we are expertise on to increase our chances of winning.
789  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never gamble in front of your kids. on: October 12, 2023, 04:53:15 PM
A parent that does this should be ashamed of himself because he's not teaching the child or children something he's deliberate about, one thing about children and how they learn is that, they are more very attractive to some personal behavioural characters they see the parents do even without them being told to do thesame, they learn from those behaviors unconsciously and when we are gambling in front of the children, we are passing a message to them at our unaware foolishness and the children are receiving such, these are the same way bad environment do creates a negative influence over the children as they were being exposed to it.

791  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: October 12, 2023, 04:21:40 PM
Using the DCA approach is still okay because it helps to avoid the overthinking of not buying at a lower price than the current market price when there has been a price reduction at some point. Because of the volatility of the market and the price action that comes with it,
DCA is a safer approach so that you'll have points when you should buy and what will be the amount that you should purchase for those points.

the DCA approach is still the best way to accumulate bitcoin. When there is a drop, you can also use it to accumulate more bitcoin than before. The dip is not certain and cannot be predicted, but you can always accumulate gradually using the DCA approach.
Those that don't have an option but only to DCA can do a lot better unlike those that don't buy at all. But if you're blessed and you'll be able to buy with an entire amount on the spot, honestly I think that's better.

If you're a potential investor, then know that DCA is one of the best and most flexible means you could use to acquire bitcoin because it has the ability to reduce the rate at which you could experience loss whenever the market goes unfavourably dip, then as everyone has already contributed, it is very important to know the process of how to observe this hodl, when we invested, we work towards a specific target and have to patiently wait till the target is being accomplished on our stead and if the market goes the other side, being unplanned for, we have a reduced rate to how we can incure or experience the losses that comes after through the DCA pattern already used.
792  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What encouraged your continuity in Bitcoin investment and Bitcointalk forum? on: October 12, 2023, 04:05:35 PM
You can agree with me that the forum alone is one of great asset that could help one to retain and maintain his stay with bitcoin because this is why the forum was created, to take along everyone who is into bitcoin on the same platform and discuss together which everyone knows that bitcointalk is serving the purpose, there are other opportunities one cannot mention all that we recieves from bitcoin adoption and from this forum, experienced users could tell more about this because they have witnessed some already at one point or the other.
793  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Not keeping records makes me a bad gambler? on: October 11, 2023, 09:39:22 PM
It depends on the type of record to keep when it comes to gambling discussions like this, what is the benefit of keeping a record that will always bring tears to one's eye if all you had was a perpectual records on losses, there's nothing to encourage one in this than add up to depression because the records aren't enticing to keep, share or see oftentimes, but when we have some outstanding moments with gambling experience, we couldn't wanted to afford loosing these moments with putting them into archive for remembrance, such are good for this purpose and not all we have are disheartening records of losses.
794  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are You Tax Efficient With Your Gambling Habbits? on: October 11, 2023, 09:17:21 PM
If governments do not spend tax money properly they have to take responsibility for it. But the point is that a gambler can pay more tax if he wins big but if he lost his money then my question will govt pay or help the gamblers? If they able to do this then gambler have no problem but it is not possible. The casino or gambling company deducts the appropriate amount for each bet. So government can only force casino or any gambling authority for taxation. But no individual gambler should have any liability in relation to tax.

You'd better asked they spend it judiciously because if they don't you have nothing to do about it, tax is everyone entitlement to pay for and also to receive the benefits of what the money received was being used for, but if we are to look into the gambling sector well, only the gambling organizations are keeping well to paying their tax unlike the gamblers on every successful bets they won, people take that as bonus opportunity to spend their entire winning on gambling forgetting to pay tax or refusing to pay because they think its not necessary on gambling.
795  Other / Off-topic / Re: Learn to be safe and secured online on: October 11, 2023, 08:49:00 PM
Security is everyone's responsibility and it has become very necessary and paramount to protect ourselves from cyber attacks as we engage ourselves online on a daily basis.

If we tirelessly work towards having the best security safety of our bitcoin asset then we are going to remain a difficult puzzle for the hackers to solve the means through which they can use to have access to us and penetrate in, we are in most cases responsible for allowing them to attack us because we unknowingly creates some loopholes that serves as entry point for them to launch an attack, henceforth we need to be very careful with how we appear online and things we do on various websites visited, these alone may reduce our chances of being scammed as well if we give attention to them
796  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Up Move Incoming on: October 11, 2023, 05:19:01 PM
Until now prices are still low and it's a good opportunity to buy more. If the halving day was before, there would be a price explosion in 4 or 5 months, so my estimate is that in December or January 2024 something big will happen, in fact many experts believe that in December this year it will happen. new ATH even though currently the price is still low.
The future of cryptocurrencies, like any other future, cannot be accurately predicted.  But that doesn’t stop crypto enthusiasts from speculating about where Bitcoin will go.
Large-scale growth must have a serious reason, or better yet several reasons at once, including mass popularity and market euphoria.

Every predictions we made were based on the present research taken on the current market status and the previous years performances, this is also what every cryptopreneurs leverage on because they understand the reality of what is invol in making an investment on digital currency and bitcoin in most cases than risking their asset on coins that have no much future plan to last long, this same digital currencies have brought in so many opportunities for the people globally and on the same way people targeted the market pump to make their return on investment whenever they buy the dip and hodl, we are expecting more of this bull market henceforth than the bear.
797  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WHAT WILL BE THE FINAL SITUATION OF BITCOIN? on: October 11, 2023, 03:49:10 PM
If I didn't believe it, I wouldn't buy and hold when Bitcoin drops in price. It doesn't matter if I buy Bitcoin at any price and intend to keep it and sell when Bitcoin reaches its latest ATH. So clearly, the final situation here is investing in Bitcoin long term. And here it is also clear that we will face a halving next year and according to history, 1 year after the halving BTC will reach ATH, that is the final situation where the value of BTC assets which fell at that time will return or even be worth more.

And those that are just observing and not investing, they will also be the same people to later write an epistle on how they missed the opportunity with bitcoin over the years, sometimes we just look on some other things from afar and not until we move closer we may not understand the reality in those things to how we are seing them afar, bitcoin is a currency that if those people not adopting it use and acceptance could see far beyond where they were actually viewing from, they would have understand it's something they also have been waiting for, we are going more better and bigger with bitcoin from now and so on.
798  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gender in Gambling [differences between Women and Men in Gambling] on: October 10, 2023, 05:04:40 PM
I'm also curious why some members think that women are less risk takers than men! Are there any reliable studies which support such claims?
It's as simple as ABC. Men have higher testosterone levels compared to women that makes them naturally more riskier. It's a known fact that when bodybuilders take steroids that increase their testosterone levels, are getting more aggressive, on another hand, that's known as steroid rage.
Btw if you want scientific proofs, here it is: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2677650/

All being said by you both have their respective points, but it's bot something funny to discover that someone could still be asking what makes men risk bearers than women, honestly asking this alone makee me speechless for which answer to give because one can begin with this kind of argument till eternity and unstoppable, but the little i may add is that women are soft and gentle minded people because they feels they don't need force or struggle to make an achievement in live and they take risk less, a good example is in taking into consideration the numbers of women gambling, the numbers of women on this forum and so on, men are just too strong to stand vigorous situations unlike women.
799  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Winning Wisely: Strategies to Protect Your Bankroll on: October 10, 2023, 04:49:37 PM
What is required for this strategy to succeed in the first place is utmost and unwavering discipline. That is something that most gamblers do not have, and do not really want. At least in my experience.
Logically, Martingale never works in the long-term just like any other gambling strategy out there thanks to the house edge. It does work only in the short-term though it's still not recommended since it's a negative progression strategy.

It's a classic strategy to help the house win again and again(Not the gamblers) frankly speaking.

We can agree with me that not every strategies work with all games we play while gambling, which also indicates that people make use of various means to ensure that they get their required result while gambling, also after everything said had been done, it takes them luck to also appears as the lucky gambler to win, however, being a gambler, we must not be too focused on one way view from how we gamble wether for winining or not, our level of discipline, knowledge and skills all work also together with the tendencies for winning when gambling.
800  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: You data is not safe on centralized exchanges on: October 10, 2023, 04:34:23 PM
How do hackers know who to send messages to?

Quote
Hong Kong police warned users of the scam in an Oct. 9 post to its Facebook page dubbed “CyberDefender.”

“Recently, fraudsters posing as Binance sent text messages claiming that users must click the link in the message to verify their identity details before a deadline, otherwise their account would be deactivated.”

Is the message randomly sent to people? I think the hackers target Hong Kong Binance users and that can only be from data breach or insider work.

Quote
According to the post, the phishing scheme has seen 11 Hong Kong-based Binance customers report combined losses of more than $446,000 (3.5 million Hong Kong dollars) in the last two weeks.

If it is someone like me, this is easily avoidable, but what if it gets to the hacker's selling peoples data to thieves and which can lead to physical robbery and attack.

Why KYC is extremely dangerous – and useless

Maybe newbies may be the ones to easily fall a victim of this kind of attack because when something is coming from Binance or any reputable exchage, one should be able to descern if they are actually from a verified source or not through the content on what they are sending, also, for every user of any of centralized exchanges, there's no privacy and security at it's highest order on such user that guaranteed the safety of one's asset, if you're using an exchange then know it that everything you do there is at your own risk, they can experience any challenges that will directly affect you as well being their user, what they give is not wallet but accounts, all user wallet keys are in their possession, remember not your keys not your coins.
