761  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the need to be known a requirement to qualify for a loan(s)? on: October 18, 2023, 09:14:59 PM
Is there any truth to the fact that an individual needs to be known in any place before they can qualify to receive loans?
That is, is the need to be known or identified really required to qualify for a loan?

Two things must be put into consideration when taking a loan, you must be either have a qualateral to stand for you or a surety who us a reputable and trusted personality to stand for you, f these two conditions are not satisfied, you're likely not to be given a loan for any reason because you cannot be trusted with a reliable means for pay back, another one i think looks more common is for the government workers, they obtain loan base on their level of income as salary grade and they make deductions every month from their monthly payments.
762  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you find yourself doing unnecessary purchases when there is plenty.. on: October 18, 2023, 03:42:53 PM
I wouldn't say they're unnecessary since it's still something I could use. It's just not up there with the top 3 or 5 most important things to purchase at a certain time. If I have more leeway or allowance then I tend to buy these things that I've put in the back seat without emptying my savings.

We cannot judge that it's something we cannot use later because we are buying them because we have money with us and not because we needed to buy them at that particular time, under budget, we have wants and needs, if there's anything we are buying and we don't need them at the moment, its as if we are wasting time and money on them, a time is coming we will be having budget deficit whereby money at hand may not be sufficient enough to buy what we needed at that moment.
763  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Winning Wisely: Strategies to Protect Your Bankroll on: October 18, 2023, 02:36:32 PM
Being a responsible gambler, we should have our personal winning strategies thst will help protect our bankroll without having to always use our personal money in making deposit to the casino wallet for funding, I've seen some gamblers that maintain their winning earnings for their all time bankroll without them having to make further deposit, whenever they win, it pill up to the account balance on the casino wallet without them making withdrawal, this has always been used by them in gambling as time goes and they make more win before the balance is exhausted on gambling.
764  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why is blockchain important? on: October 18, 2023, 01:00:39 PM
For the sake of argument, I have some knowledge of bitcoin and blockchain but that I didn’t  use them due of my unstable financial situation. I'm about to begin investing and even trading. The name speaks for itself. What function does blockchain serve? Is it merely necessary for recording every transaction, making it essentially just a database? Please continue to be pertinent; I am aware of how blocks are produced.

Blockchain technology has many applications for it uses, not only bitcoin benefits from being served it purpose, someone like me and you could also make use of blockchain to perform many things as long as we could see them under it's potentials, just as you cannot only find the bitcoin network only on the blockchain, same also are the areas of it application varies in number, for anyone to be trending on this advanced era, one has to know about the blockchain technology and use it where necessarily applicable.

To be honest in this regard, most people do spend money any how they like whenever they are having it sufficiently or in abundance, that is when you will discover people using money on what they never planned for, i don't blame some people who always avoid holding down money with them unnecessarily than having them in investments instead, some will also tell you that they cannot hold cash at hand because it will always be used for things not planned for, which i agree that we most likely fall under this influence even though we are not being observant of such situation when it's happening.
766  Other / Meta / Re: "You are searching too quickly" on: October 18, 2023, 11:23:54 AM
Why is it that Btalk search bar is slow as molasses? I make one search and the whole system is down for 10 minutes lol

Maybe something is definitely wrong with your internet connectivity or the device you're using, have you also considered the availability of space on your device memory, search engine is not what should last than seconds to have your results with you, or maybe you probably make it more difficult to search through by what you typed in to be searched for, there's nothing wrong with the forum search here than from your end.
767  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Will Nigerians Marketers Accept Bitcoin if Legalized on: October 17, 2023, 10:33:11 PM
Why will the people not accept the use of bitcoin if the government should legalized it's use as legal tender officially, even now that the status is not yet approved, people make use of bitcoin for different purpose in the country's economy and make it adoption at their own benefits as well because they are the ones involved in the financial challenges encountered from government and the commercial banks through their financial regulations.

All forms of marketers will have no choice than to accept the use of bitcoin if granted as a legal tender because it's already a legal currency to be used in the country, only that the government and banks were banned from its use while the people still use bitcoin independently.
768  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Get a skill and make the best out of it. on: October 17, 2023, 10:15:00 PM
There's this important benefits we are sometimes missing out about developing a skill that could place us on future advantage, if we are working for a long period of time under White collar job, we will finally end up going back to being self employed and depends on our own work to make advanced sustainability at old age, we can also consider other benefits like being self employed, freedom, unlimited rate of earnings amd enough time for self discovery.
769  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Guide and Advice] New Here? How to Earn and Learn. on: October 17, 2023, 10:02:15 PM

771  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What Reward for a Trading Mentor on: October 17, 2023, 05:34:21 PM
If you often spend time with your mentor, you can buy him food or drinks and eat and drink them together. This will create a better relationship between you and your mentor. But first of all, a thank you for helping you understand the trading lessons he gave. As for the prize, it depends on you. Maybe he doesn't need any gifts from you and sees you can master what he teaches well.

This shouldn't be the reward a mentor should expect from his subjects, what example then is he giving when he's making demands on his follower or they are already paying him back, what they should be after is the replication of their self in this their subject, whereby their mantle will be passed to them and they will do exploit, the mentor will also be happy in seing a well performance from those learning from them, which is joy enough than receiving food or material items from them, it will implies a payback of what they are learning from their mentors if they keep giving them back in rewards.
772  Economy / Economics / Re: Energy Crisis 2.0 in the New World Order era on: October 17, 2023, 05:17:22 PM
We are aware that the main supplier of diesel fuel is Russia. Russia has been able to export diesel fuel on a daily average of about 1.1 million barrels, which indicates that Russia accounts for 10% of the global export of diesel fuel.

Now, the shortage of diesel fuel is a significant issue that seriously affects every nation's economy worldwide. And as far as I'm aware, the current answer is both reducing dependency on diesel fuel and increasing diesel fuel output in other nations.

Reference: https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2023-09-21/russia-diesel-ban-threatens-to-roil-global-markets-if-it-lasts

Apart from the shortage of diesel fuel which can affect the global economic sector, there is another possibility for each country to use other fuels that are more environmentally friendly so that they can continue to carry out all the production of goods carried out so far. Because if production of goods has to stop due to a shortage of diesel fuel, this will actually be even worse for the country's economy, so several countries must try to deal with this better in order to continue producing goods as usual. Because when an energy that is often used has become very crisis and unstable, it will certainly cause other bad things to the economy and can even trigger wars to gain power in any case.

If we are having this consumption of energies in abundance doesn't mean they can't went down in low supply, the most effective utilization for energy is to create an alternative to it and also encourage for recycling of the same energy for the people's use, there are other natural means we can also develope and generate energies from, all these will make the dependent on diesel or premium motor spirit reduced, then we also need to work out means to reduce global warming through the inefficient energy waste to the atmosphere affecting the ecosystem.
773  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Proof of reserves? Insurance fund? Best I can do is a random number generator! on: October 17, 2023, 05:04:45 PM
I agree with you. Proof of reserves is a good step, but it's not enough to guarantee that a centralized exchange is safe. There are other things to consider, like the people who run the exchange, how they do business, and how much money they have.
People like CZ, who believe that 99% of funds in self custody would be lost, and that funds are only #SaFu when you store them with Binance. Take note that nothing should serve as a guarantee that any centralized exchange is safe, nothing at all. Centralized exchanges do business through fractional reserve scam, they take your money and try to use it to make more money for themselves, and how can you know how much they have, and if it is enough to cover liabilities, either way you have to trust what they say, and you shouldn't. Store your funds only in a self custodial wallet.
I'm also worried that many centralized exchanges keep their insurance funds in their own tokens. This is a conflict of interest, because it gives the exchange an incentive to manipulate the price of its token.
They can print their tokens just out of thin air, so they rather use your money to either trade or gamble in other investments and see how much profit they can make from it, and if they fail and become insolvent, they print out millions of their tokens out of thin air and try to use it to stay afloat. By the way, why should you be worried about what centralized exchanges do, when you can store your funds the right way.

No wonder exchanges will always accept any shitcoins to be enlisted on their platform once they were able to reach a greed business terms and fund the project for a while, this also call for more caution for potential investors seeking for highly fast growing currencies, most of them were nothing but a hype to attract for more investors, thanks that we have the use of altcoins to differentiate bitcoin from other currencies in cryptocurrency, so CZ is as good as any average businessman and understand the way to persuade people for a business patronage using his exchange even though he knows himself that non custodial wallet is the best means of having crypto assets.
774  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I was ripped off on: October 17, 2023, 04:47:05 PM
I sent a guy a down payment on a car. I use a program called Electrum. After I sent him the money I figured out I was being scammed. Do I have any recourse? Any way to recover my money?

Payment made with bitcoin are irreversible and you should just believe that has been dashed out through your mistake, if it were to be in fiat currency, they can make reversals if you have enough evidence to lodge this at the bank.

I do have the guys wallet ID and the transaction ID.

There's nothing that can be done than viewing the money from afar and having nothing the do about it, sure, it can be tracked and seen but when you don't have the access to the wallet keys, you can't have the coins back.
775  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Awareness - Welcoming New Bitcoiners with $1 Worth of Sat in Cameroon on: October 17, 2023, 04:25:40 PM
You're doing well, bitcoin education has a huge task to fulfill, it's something deserving an applaud seing that you're taking a bold step in traveling down to Cameroon all because if bitcoin education, this is to ensure that everyone heard about the good news of bitcoin, also, we can consider this that Cameroon is one of the countries underdeveloped and having a low numbers of people engage in bitcoin, because if i call recall well.

This will be the very first time am hearing something about Cameroon concerning bitcoin, which means the youths over there are getting along also to ignite fire just as other regions with bitcoin adoption fast increasing.
776  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cash out or keep playing? on: October 17, 2023, 02:07:59 PM
there's a crucial moment in every gambler's journey. the moment when you hit that big win. Do you cash out and savor your victory, or do you continue playing in hopes of even bigger winnings?

Wisdom will say, cash out and leave, to home and enjoy your winnings and invest, then plan how you will spend on the other part of the money left on you.

Foolishness will say, continue playing, the day is all yours, you will continue to win till your cup fulls and you are loaded, then you couldn't remember anymore that gambling has risk of winning and loosing until you landed on the verge of loosing everything gradually without still noticing.

778  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: You are also like them? on: October 17, 2023, 12:29:15 PM
But no, institutions see it as an all-you-can-eat buffet, spiking prices just to clean you out, and then conveniently start taking profits.

All this is pointing on nothing than you saying the Institutional investors are being responsible for manipulatio the market, holding the market down in their own favour to feast on the individual small scale investors, but we have to consider that these institutions are not the major target for why bitcoin was being created, the people are the target, institutions also take risk and make losses, they cannot exist alone in this, you can consider their numbers to the rate individuals were being involved in bitcoin trading and see how few they are.
779  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A fun way to learn "How bitcoin works" on: October 17, 2023, 11:39:02 AM
If you're learning or teaching someone about bitcoin, then you have the idea of something wrong already with the use of banks to have thought for an alternative, whenever you're opportuned to learn bitcoin, take it with all seriousness because not everyone can teach as expected, blockchain and bitcoin has brought in many of these awaited financial opportunities, now that they were being made accessible by everyone, it won't make sense if we are privileged to learn or teach others without doing so, doing eo is more than giving other's money because they have acquired tge path through a financial freedom advisory.
