-snip-
Too much data needed to be stored.

Thye don't have time for that, It's just a common issue nothing big at all. Rather than put the effort on these one, better putting the effort on every important case relating to casino rather than handle report for begging.

It's really simple to avoid these, don't open chat, not sharing betting activity with big win, private your profile to avoid your name getting highlight (mostly people in high roller tabs).

No, people cannot simply avoid using the chat, because other people are not following the rules and spam begging the chat channel.

The chat channel is part of the fun and I have made several friends from different countries in that channel. (Gambling friends)

A community can police their own channel and many people like myself will do it for free, just to reduce the misuse of that communication channel.
2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you prefer the crypto online gambling or regular fiat casinos gambling? on: May 15, 2024, 06:36:33 AM
I think casinos quickly realized, if you can remove the physical senses of "touch" and "sight" from handling currencies, then people spend more.

Example : Many moons ago, people played slots with casino coins and they physically handled the coins. The player received a bucket to hold the coins and you inserted the coins into the slot, when you wanted to play.

Now, people simply add money to a card and they hardly notice the balance going down. There are a mental break between you and your money... a lot like swiping a credit card or you using digital Crypto currencies. (Numbers on a screen)
3  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - Drake, UFC, Everton, Stake F1 Team on: May 15, 2024, 06:20:21 AM
I have not visited the Stake chat for some time, because it got a bit too toxic, but on Saturday I decided to give it another try. I was shocked by the amount of beggars that were flooding the chat with money requests.

The chat mods must have a hard time dealing with this, but I think I might have a solution. Why can the developers not create a "community" police user and link that to a "auto" mute function?

The community police users can be verified by the mods to identify users that will not abuse this system and "auto mute" can only be done if say 10 community police members flag a user to be muted.

The "auto mutes" can be audited to see if someone are abusing their powers... and then they lose those rights. The mutes by the Community Police can also not exceed say 2 to 4 hours.

What do you think?
This is a great idea, but I feel it's pointless since the Stake team is lazy as hell and they might not even bother thinking about your idea. Am guessing that many people made similar suggestions in the past which fell on deaf ears.

They know damn well that there are many, many beggars in their chatroom, but they clearly don't care which is the harsh truth.
Well, his idea is a very good one but I feel his wordings made the idea a bit too complicated or confusing to understand.
In a more simple terms, I would say the Stake team introduce a bot, the same way it is done on telegram, they assign some words to the bot that the bot should detect as a ban word, when ever any user in the chat used any word that is in the list of the ban word, the bot can automatically warn that user to desist from using such word, and also list out all the words that are banned, this warning can be two or three times per user, and after the third time, if the user still makes use of any word that is a ban word, then the bit can automatically mute such for let's say, 3 hours, and if after 3 hours the user is unmuted, if the user uses a ban word again, the bot will again mute him or her for 6 hours, and if after that, the same user offend again, the bot will mute the user for 9 hours, next - 12 hours, next again - 15 hours and so on until the user can be muted for even 1 whole year if he or she continues to offend.

I think implementing such chat security feature will help the clean the stake community off every begger..
But on the other, Stake is really a big casino, and one thing about casinos that have become this big is that, it's always difficult for them to listen and implement ideas from their community, pretty hard and I don't think it has anything to do with laziness.

No bots are not 100% fool proof and simply flaging words, will not help. We are dealing with humans and they find innovative ways to evade bots. (Example : People can say things like, "Can someone t1p me or Please bl3$$ me... etc.. and bots will not pick that up)

If you give some validated community members the ability to spot beggars, they will be 100% fool proof, because you need 10 or 20 people to flag it and then to auto mute the beggar.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I returned my father's property to my father through Bitcoin investment. on: May 15, 2024, 06:08:02 AM
Can you explain to the rest of us, what a pond is in your country? Do you farm Gold fish in a pond and your father own two fish ponds?

I am happy to listen to stories, where Bitcoin made a significant positive impact in people's lives, there are many instances where people lost money on their Bitcoin investments.  Sad
5  Economy / Economics / Re: A lot wealthy people not smart they just use debt on: May 13, 2024, 06:09:01 AM
There are merit to using debt, if you can leverage it to make some very good profits.

Example : You get some good information that property prices will go up significantly in the near future in a specific area, because a developer told you about some huge project that will be done in the area and that it will create a shortage of housing in the area. So you want to buy properties in the area, before that happens.

Rich people move in circles with people that can share that kind of knowledge, so they get those opportunities a lot and they need debt to fund those bargain opportunities.

7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Attempting to turn 0.05 BTC into 1.7 BTC on: May 10, 2024, 06:59:03 AM
You can actually take another route and find some high risk investment option, where you can use the wonder of compound interest to your advantage.

You say you are working, so you can put down the $3000 into the investment and then add to it monthly and let the compound interest work it's wonders.

Try to make some arrangement with the institution where you are studying to pay off the study fees, after you completed your studies and signoff the investment to them.

There must be better options out there than dumping money into something that does not offer a guaranteed high percentage of return.  Huh
8  Economy / Gambling / Re: Building a unique Casino game from scratch. What features do you want? on: May 10, 2024, 06:16:58 AM
I guess this thread can be closed, because OP has not responded to any of the suggestions and he has also not posted any updates to the progress of this project.

It would have been fun to see a new spin on the boring old Plinko, but I guess this is not going to happen anymore.

9  Economy / Economics / Re: If you want to be wealthy you need action on: May 10, 2024, 05:51:49 AM
I always think about the saying.. "Studying it, is not a good preparation for dealing with it."

In my experience with students coming to work at our company, many cannot handle the work or they cannot do the work, because they cannot apply the book knowledge that they gained.

You have to get in there and gain the experience and learn to adapt to the challenges and also learn from the mistakes to be succesful.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CZ Sentenced, Your Bitcoin in their Custody on: May 10, 2024, 05:42:04 AM
<snip> same way they habe been clamping down of other privacy means in which bitcoiner can use to achieve thier goals, i don't wa t to mention the keyword bit we all know about the recent ban thst took effect since January 1st of this year 2024.
I'm struggling to understand your post. Firstly you put binance in the same bunch as privacy services and go on to talk about the privacy risks of using it. What's happening to Binance has nothing to do with reducing privacy of bitcoin users, it's a criminal investigation.

CZ pleaded guilty to the charges, aided be investigation and binance has greed to pay fines to the tune of $4 billion, hence the lighter sentence.

I think that jail time, even though it is only 4 months has significant implications. In my country, several restrictions are placed on people with a criminal record.

Seeing that it was a financial crime, he might not be able to get work in a company in a financial capacity or form part of the executive board on certain commitees etc.

There might also be restrictions when it comes to the ownership of a firearm and/or immigrating to certain countries.
11  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: 'The Bitcoin History Book' in Progress (RELEASE: September 2024) on: May 09, 2024, 07:17:06 AM
Where will the eBook be released, once it is finished? This is obviously not going to be a FREE book.. right?

I have read some of it and I am looking forward to seeing the end product. Good luck... hope everything goes well with the final release.

It will be released on Amazon in September 2024 as a paperback, hardcover and ebook.

Ah, thank you for the response. Do you have any estimation on how much it will cost to buy the book?

I have bought a lot of Bitcoin books in the past and I will gladly add this one to my collection.

Can you also give some background information in this thread about the process and challenges to get this published.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Attempting to turn 0.05 BTC into 1.7 BTC on: May 09, 2024, 07:05:57 AM
OP, at the rate you are going... you will be out of money within the next two bets. (Why are you risking all the money on one bet?) Will you top up the money if it runs out or will you stop betting when this money runs out?

I will rather make smaller bets with something that has much better odds.

What is your timeframe to achieve your goal? (Long-term or Short-term)
13  Economy / Gambling / Re: Help me find sites or telegrams to track fixed matches on: May 09, 2024, 06:54:27 AM
Just to make sure..  OP, are you looking for resources on the Internet that provides information on match fixing prior to the match... OR reporting on matches that were fixed, after the match were played?

In essense, you seemingly want to collect information on how many matches are fixed... right? (Based on indicators that you gave as an example)
14  Economy / Economics / Re: Your aging and retirement plan is your responsibility. on: May 09, 2024, 06:45:36 AM
I think with the global economy in shambles, most people are only focussed on survival, not on saving for their own retirement. The increase in inflation also leave very little money for people to have disposeable funds to push into investments or savings.

Governments are also struggling, because people pay less taxes, because they were retrenched or the companies closed their doors ....so they cannot afford the increase in the social grants that they pay to the unemployed.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MemoryDealers aka Roger Ver Arrested! on: May 09, 2024, 06:37:34 AM
So should we now change his Bitcoin nickname from Bitcoin Jesus to Roger Tax Dodger? Seeing that he stopped supporting Bitcoin and also presumebly dodge taxes.

I can already see the meme changing from Roger Ver giving Bitcoin the finger to Ungle Sam giving Roger Ver the finger.  Grin
16  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2024-05-07] Bitcoin’s Long-Term Indicators Reach Record Highs on: May 08, 2024, 06:21:52 AM
I think this is based on the long-term demand potential that comes with more and more Bitcoin ETFs being funded and also by the decline in the supply with the "Halving" events that are scheduled to happen in the future.

The availlable Bitcoin stockpile are constantly being bought by large institutional investment firms and large companies and those coins are hoarded and taken out of circulation.

The shift from Bitcoin being used as a currency to the use as a commodity has definately happened now, with the introduction of the Bitcoin ETFs.
17  Economy / Economics / Re: Not your keys not your funds Banks on: May 08, 2024, 06:13:58 AM
I have experienced first hand how Banks have gone bankrupt and where only a small portion of the funds deposited in that Bank, have been paid back to the clients.

We have also seen how reckless Banks have operated in the last economic crisis and how governments had to step up to bail them out with tax payers money to rescue them.

Banks cannot be trusted with your wealth... be your own Bank and buy bitcoins. (You should always hold those coins in a wallet, where you have sole control over the Private key)
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you disguise on your real gambling lifestyle just to help a friend/relative? on: May 08, 2024, 06:03:27 AM
The question is this... If you have to hide your gambling habits from the friend you are trying to help, are you actually helping that person?

What does it say about you, when you have to lie to a friend? You should just open up to that person and be honest about your problem and then seek some proffesional help for both of you. This way, you can support eachother and find ways to control the urge to gamble.

The gambling problem start out with small increases in your gambling budget and it gathers momentum like a snow ball running down a hill.. so you should give attention to it, whilst it is still under your control.
19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it proper for younger ones to gamble? on: May 08, 2024, 05:51:55 AM
These types of things happen in countries where regulations and laws are not properly enforced.

This is where adults should step in and take responsible decisions to protect the younger generation. (You can report it to local law enforcement or social services, if you do not want to get directly involved.)

The community should stand together to protect their children, because some governments are corrupt and they might ignore this problem or those operators might pay them bribes to look the other way.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trust bitcoin holders? on: May 08, 2024, 05:46:38 AM
Since bitcoin promotes mostly anti-government, banks, etc.

I am wondering; Do you trust bitcoin holders?

You should ask another question...  "Why should you rather trust Bitcoin supporters?"

The average Bitcoin supporter do not have any issues with governments, they simply buy bitcoins because it has profit potential.

There are a group of Bitcoin supporter within the larger Bitcoin supporter group that has strong views against governments, because those governments have hurt them in the past. (Example : Hyper inflation / Corruption / Bank bailouts during the previous economic crisis and the failure of the Fiat system)
