7  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Turn-Key Etherium (ETH) GPU Mine - Hosted & Live Mining *Pictures Inside* on: June 13, 2018, 07:15:05 PM
Looks like power hog rigs probably because of age. 1600w for a 6 card rig:/ glws though

The GPUs are an older generation but still hash and produce ETH.   Thank you for the feedback.

Monthly income?

It varies depending on market conditions.  As of 06/11/2018 @ 2:55pm GMT-8 here is a ETH projection off a website that projects monthly income:

10  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTS] Turn-Key Etherium (ETH) GPU Mine - Hosted & Live Mining *Pictures Inside* on: June 08, 2018, 06:24:05 PM
Selling a fully functional GPU mining operation that is currently hosted.  This is an opportunity to purchase a mine that is currently mining for Etherium but would be used for any GPU crypto-currency.  Purchasing a turn-key operation will save you time in getting up an running.  The staff that supports this mine has intimate knowledge of this hardware and are diligent in supporting it.   All the miners are using high quality parts and once the sale is being finalized, we will provide an exact parts list.   Seller will get full title to the hardware once the sale it completed.

Basic Deal Terms:
The purchase would be in two parts.   First, would be purchasing the Mine itself.   Second is executing the hosting agreement.   Once that is closed we would point all the miners to your desired pool and set you up with our support staff for any future changes.

- Maximum Hashing Power: 28Gh/s or 28,000Mh/s

- GPU Mine Purchase Price: $172,700  ($1,100 per miner)

11  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: The State of Cryptocurrency Mining by David Vorick (Sia) on: June 08, 2018, 05:23:07 PM
Yes it's a good article and it's accurate. What's frustrating for those of us that lived through the conversion of bitcoin from CPU to ASIC is that the rules and issues have never changed, and we see the same mistakes being made over and over by both new manufacturers and newcomers into the game trying to capitalise on a market they think they understand. Bitmain have got the mining world by the balls and that is not going to change by anyone trying to take them on by the same rules they play by. I've been warning people since the first ASICs got announced but alas no one listened, and then I just gave up trying to warn them... No one seemed to want to believe me and for whatever reason very few every considered consulting me despite my obvious position in the mining world.

Me too ck.  When ASIC first hit I told people this is now an arms race that will lead to ultimate centralization in to a handful of large mining operations that will gather a majority of the coins and fees.   I remember reading your posts on this too and you were right.

This post represents the continuation of QG's "H/W Hosting Directory & Reputation" thread.  I want to personally thank him for doing that service for our community.  Just to give you a little background on myself, I have been Bitcoin mining since 2010.  My goal is to make sure we have a well curated directory going forward. With that said, I have taken all the previous hosting listings and now will provide simple rules for all hosting companies to get listed.  Please make sure to contact your hosting company if it is not listed and tell them to Get Listed!

Rules for Listings (How to get listed):

1. Post your listing on this thread for addition to the directory

2.  Use the following Listing Format

=====================

3. PM me that you have posted an addition

4. Once I have added you to the directory, I will delete your request and that will signal the addition to the directory.

5. Post Listing Updates on the thread and PM me (No more than once per month please)

6. Outside of that, people are free to communicate on this thread, please direct customer service requests, directly to the Hosting Company and not on this thread.

17  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-04-10]Bear Market 'Largely Over,' Crypto Hedge Fund Manager Claims on: April 11, 2018, 10:17:14 PM
The selling pressure was also being piled up by crypto exchanges. Many exchanges had net income of more than $1 Billion in 2017. They kept their income in BTC and ETH and not USD. Now in order to meet the tax liabilities, they are selling their ETH and BTC holdings which has resulted in huge sell off by the exchanges. Tax-related selling has certainly added to the tough start of the year for Bitcoin. After April 17th which is the tax day, we can expect a recovery due to the end of huge sell off which is the major reason that created a bear trap.

Now that is an interesting point on exchanges being part of the selling pressures for tax reasons.   I believe in the after-tax season recovery but I am going to ponder this some more.  I wonder.
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Update April 12 on: April 11, 2018, 10:09:30 PM
We are almost done with Tax Season in the United States.   It will be interested to see if that was part of the overhang outside of the China crackdown.

20  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 24 S9 units w/ PSU on: April 11, 2018, 05:56:10 PM
You might want to check the Bitmain site, Brand new 13.5 th with PSU delivered in April = $1146.00 Anyone who is mining has bucket loads of coupons. $100.00, $200.00 $250.00 $350.00 and $400.00. If I were wanting to buy an S9 today I could use my $350.00 coupons and get brand new with PSU for under $800.00. It's a brave new world.

Thanks for the heads up.  If people want to make reasonable offers, I am open to them.   It is for a client that is replacing the hardware with another type.     I can ship asap from the U.S.
