1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain Communication ( Bridges ) on: May 28, 2022, 04:43:31 PM
Indeed, we cannot deny the fact that there are several ways tyat hackers can take advantage of when it comes to block-chain bridges but it isn't that easy since people are being more aware and are being more cautious comoared to the past years. Not to mention the fact that most platforms or apps that acts as bridges are improving their security as time passes and even more so with every exploits found or experienced by other bridges. The potential of being hacked is reduced drastically depending on knowledge and cautiousness of the user. It may even not happen unless the hacking is executed on the platform itself that acts as a bridge.

Regardless of the risks, the truth remains; investors and traders in this industry will not cease to use these bridges or invest in them simply because we need them. A certain amount of risk is tolerable as long as there are better benefits or profits involved. Although I cannot say the same for everyone, it is the truth for me and for the people I know who are using these type of services.
2  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin continues to decline, what causes it? on: May 27, 2022, 04:34:18 PM
I think the biggest factor is inflation that occurs in many countries, when inflation occurs, many people need cash and the first alternative is to sell cryptocurrencies, in fact I often see many members complaining because the economic situation is still difficult due to the pandemic.

I agree. The thing about this though is that the very fear of inflation can also be seen as one of the triggers for people to jump into crypto currencies in order to save themselves or their money from the on going inflation. And the fact that covid has also restricted most of the businessess and services that were usually the source of profits from investments or jobs just increases the urge to get into crypto. Oh well, at least the lockdowns are stopping and some places are already covid free. I just hope that everything recovers faster which can also let new money flow into this market.
3  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Monkeypox, are you vaccinated ? on: May 27, 2022, 03:35:40 PM
This may seem as a joke to most of the people but damn, with how the covid virus affected the world, the majority of people are gery sensitive to just about anything that is contagious and makes people sick. And if by some chance, a contagious one surfaces again and the governments or media decides to hype the issue, the majority are most likely to panic again and easily take just about any type of drug out there that could "potentially" keep them safe. This may he a conspiracy but I think fear can be easily used to manipulate the masses.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think we should do with our investments in times of uncertainty? on: May 27, 2022, 03:05:17 PM
It is indeed true that predicting the exact price of bitcoin at exact times is difficult if not impossible. But even so, predicting a range becomes possible and more easier depending on the ways you go about it like how you use tools or indicators to help read price movements and such. Which, gives way for better educated guesses/predictions to help create better plans/strategies that can lead to big or small profits. Of course, it does not apply for signal subscribers or gamble traders. Oh well, at the end of the day, finding ways that suits you most by experience is what veterans bank on while some, specially on bitcoin rely on long term holding while buying whenever they have extra funds to spare or on good dips.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bear Market Can Be A Waste Of Time or Useful Depending on How We Approach It on: May 26, 2022, 04:25:33 PM
I agree, it does depend on how we approach it. Also, it also depends on one's personal capabilities and knowledge. There are always profits to be gained in every phase of the market(bearish/bullish). That is, if you know what you are doing. Now, talking about new projects, most of the developers that really know what they are doing will not launch or postpone as much as they can when the market is bearish. Which is why it is pretty hard to find good projects in a bearish market. And if you manage to find one, it is either you are lucky enough or you have put extensive amounts of effort in searching for gems in a bearish cycle. Which I personally think isn't worth it. So what I often do at bearish seasons is keep the number of assets I hold to a minimum and just slowly accumulate or DCA. not just because it proves to he quite rewarding but mainly because it saves me a lot of trouble and gives less stress.
6  Other / Politics & Society / Re: China is a declining Power on: May 26, 2022, 03:04:45 PM
Nothing lasts forever as what people say, and this is true in every sense on just about anything. China has grown well over the past years but as we see, it is gradually slowing down. As to how much it would slow down or decrease the pace of its growth I can't say since I am not good with statistics. But common sense does help me see this. Still though, I believe that China won't lose out to other countries in terms of growth in the short term. Regardless, in the long run, it may he over taken since some countries show great potential in growth. Just my simple view.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador will be the richest country in the world in 8 years? on: May 26, 2022, 02:16:12 PM
I saw this post and what do you think? Is it possible for him to become that rich in such a short time?

look at the post here https://boletimbitcoin.com/2022/05/19/com-o-bitcoin-el-salvador-sera-o-pais-mais-rico-do-mundo-em-8-anos/

At first glance it would seem that it would be possible if bitcoin adoption really does increase more in El Salvador like people really using it with good understanding of it and not just for the hype or suggestions. But if you really think about it, there are many things that can happen within that span of time specially when we talk about bitcoin which is already as volatile as it is. Which means that El Salvador citizens adopting the use of bitcoin more alone would not be enough to make the country rich. Because even if the people do so, iif the rest of the world doesn't yet or major fud and dumps happen El Salvador would suffer more losses than gains. That is unless the volatility reduces or if the country itself finds a good back up plans for sudden drastic drops that bitcoin does every now and then.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: $1.6 billion dollars turned to $2,200 - The Luna effect on Binance Assets on: May 25, 2022, 05:00:42 PM
Well at least the guy still has the mood to be funny/humorous despite the losses. Although the guy is rich, losses still hurt if not for the pocket but for the emotional aspect of the investor. Still, I pity the small time investors that suffered the most. Specially the newvies that has gone into Terra Luna head first investing amounts they cannot afford to lose because of the hype or the several influencers that shilled Terra Luna non-stop regardless of their intentions (good/bad). At least though, Do Kwon is trying to fix things.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What you should do in this type of market on: May 25, 2022, 04:26:18 PM
Yup, read, learn, acquire knowledge and experiences to be able to create plans on how to apy the knowledge you have in creating investment or trading plans. This is what most newbies ignore a lot which lead to suffering tons of losses before learning the hard way. While others still strive, most just give up and talk crap about this industry just because they suffered losses. But hey, that's just how it is some people are just not applicable for this industry. Oh well, what it all comes down to in the end is a person's interest and how strong it is. If the interest is strong enough, one will either study more to gain a better edge or still persevere regardless of losses.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The bitcoin price drop is an excellent time to buy bitcoins on: May 25, 2022, 02:59:30 PM
Buying Bitcoin on every drop is always rewarding specially for the long term holders. What investors should be wary of specially beginners or newbies is that it is not wise to go all in on every dip because of greed. It should he a little percent specially on a bearish market. The purpose of this is to always have extra funds to spend in DCA strategies. You may miss out on profits but you won't suffer tons of losses. I used to he greedy at catching bottoms and I learned the hard way which I never wish to happen on anyone else. Oh well, at the end of the day, it is your funds this is just a humble advice Smiley)
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Luna CEO summoned by lawmakers on: May 21, 2022, 05:55:54 PM
Well, the speculation is indeed plausible but I'd rather not judge the guy and his team until proven guilty. Also, being summoned by law makers was inevitable and was bound to happen sooner or later the Terra Luna issue is in no way a small thing. This issue involves a huge amount of investments from lots of people which is something that cannot be easily ignored. I'm pretty skeptical about the fork that he and his team are pushing so hard though. Not that I am saying I am better than them but I just think that the investors should have the right to vote as to how they want this to proceed or what solutions should be used.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can some AltCoins pump during bear markets ? on: May 21, 2022, 04:31:48 PM
Pumps do happen sometimes to altcoins on bearish times but not that often and it barely even lasts long. I personally don't bank on such altcoin pumps on bearish times. Chasing pumps is already too tedious and draining on a bullish market. Just imagine how hard it would be on bearish times. I'd rather use my extra funds for buying good coins that I like or DCA on the ones I already have. Not only does this make my crypto life easier, it also saves me from all the stress and potential losses. Still though, if you have the time to keep track with the news and other updates about the pumping coin you wanna chase and are pretty confident with your capabilities, then it's worth the shot.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Terra USD, proved its not a stablecoin on: May 21, 2022, 03:37:44 PM
Honestly, I keep beating myself for not reading their whitepaper earlier. I never expected that one of most largest stablecoins in market cap could fail in such way. Even if I had read it though, I'm still positive that I'd still fallen for it, who would have expected such a turn.

Still though, I am glad that I was able to gain quite a few profit by selling last year. Although, I really do feel bad for everyone that suffered losses. And to be honest, looking at how it was doing well not dumping too hard a few months into this year I was actually considering to buy back again and was just looking for better entries. I just got lucky that I haven't had any extra busd yet since I was busy DCA-ing on BTC and a few altcoins. Still though, I am observing luna and how it's v2 will turn out. I might consider jumping into it again if I see some good progress.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has no future as a payments network, says FTX chief on: May 20, 2022, 07:31:02 PM
We shouldn't hate on the guy though for expressing his views. Just like any other person out there, he is just stating what he currently sees in Bitcoin. Besides, the guy has a bit of a point too. But even if these issues that he mentioned get fixed, I still think that bitcoin would most likely be still widely utilized more as a store of value rather than a means of payment. Simply because people are greedy and its potential to increase in price over the years is the real culprit behind the issue of more people holding it rather than spending it.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Proposal for LUNA on: May 19, 2022, 06:00:09 PM
The difficult thing about this is that Do Kwon is already pretty set with his decisions about where he wants the project to go making him closed towards the opinions of the investors that got fcked/rekt by his previously awful decisions. Either this guy already has a follow up plan after this or he's just been ng selfish and wants to prove that he has the capability to turn the situation around for the better with his new plans. Either way I hope he'd really be able to turn things around for the sake of the investors and the supporters of the project that really liked its utility.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Luna CEO Taking Lone walk To Luna 2.0 on: May 19, 2022, 05:17:47 PM
It's nice to see that at least the CEO of Terra Luna is somehow trying to revive the project and didn't leave the investors and supporters. Not that he yas any choice but yeah, some still run because of being overwhelmed with the problem and the negativity of the people which is understandable being an investor. I just wish though that the CEO makes the best decisions from now on. His bravery is great but it would also be nice if he'd be able to support his decisions properly having countermeasures prepared if ever some things go wrong again.
17  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin continues to decline, what causes it? on: May 19, 2022, 04:33:55 PM
There are a lot of things going on with the world right now which could be the main reasons as to why bitcoin has been on the decline for a long time now. What's keeping my hopes up though is that there aren't massive crashes that reaches as low as the 33k area yet. And so I am hoping that the next drop will not go as low as 36k. My buy orders are at 37500 but sadly, wasn't triggered. A drop is still coming though, so I'll just have to adjust depending on how btc moves by then. Wishing it bounces up after a short dip.

I had a look at the Chart in Binance, Today the lowest price reached $37,700. I think it's strong support, if later it's destroyed then I think there's some price support in the $36k,$34k and $32k area. And furthermore, if it is destroyed then the words of the former Bitmex Chief Executive will become a reality bitcoin will reach a price of $ 30k in June. It seems that this is not in line with the new news of the purchase of 1.1k BTC by etf canada. Maybe if you have the remaining funds collecting BTC step by step at a low price, gradually is a good idea.

Sadly, the thing I was afraid of really happened and even worse than I primarily expected. Good thing I was able to cut losses early and was able to get back what I lost and more by shorting. Just feel a but dissatisfied since I took profits too early at 26k. But yeah, profit is profit. At least though, I was able to stack up more on spot and was also able to buy the alts that I missed out on when the sudden bullrun happened. I wish we go up from here now at least till 41k.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Terra USD, proved its not a stablecoin on: May 18, 2022, 04:54:32 PM
I don't believe that it was actually done on purpose (but certainly could have), but that plays little role in this case. Billions were lost, thousands of people lost a good chunk of their money (or even all), including myself. It sucked. On top of that, it damaged cryptocurrencies' reputation, because UST was the third stablecoin in market cap.

Indeed, I believe that no one really ever wanted this tragedy to happen. And if we try to think as a developer, it would be impossible for someone that is known by tons of people to actually scam his investors, that would be something like looking for a hammer to smash your own head. And even if that's not the case, as a developer you put hours and hours of time, money and effort on a project you developed which succeeded having tons of people investing on it and using its services, it would be stupid to throw it all away just for the money(although billions) which would be like hell to hide and liquidate and would likely get you imprisoned. It really doesn't make sense.

One thing that I see here is that the decisions made were wrong which has caused terrible and irreversible consequences that affected everyone connected to this project along with the entirety of this industry in the eyes of people that barely knows how things work here. Of course, the developers are to blame and should be held accountable for their mistakes but I don't think it would be proper to call them scammers just because of this.
19  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Nigeria and it's long ruling tribe( Nigerians are the problems of nigeria) on: May 18, 2022, 04:05:59 PM
What makes things more difficult in Nigeria right now is this division. If this division by tribes do not get fixed, forget about other problems, there will never be real progress. This is because each tribe would most likely strive to be better than the other rather than support the other even when ot becomes detrimental for everyone. Another problem would be culture and tradition. Yes, tradition and culture are important and should be preserved but people should also consider whether it is detrimental for everyone or not. Just because it is what everyone has gotten used to, doesn't mean it is right. Everyone must learn to adopt to the changing times if progress and survival is the goal. - a little thought I have.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Kwik Trip To Install 800 New Bitcoin ATM on: May 18, 2022, 03:31:03 PM
Wow, this is amazing! Although I have seen several news about bitcoin ATMs being placed anywhere, it doesn't fail to surprise me and pump me up every time I hear about it happening! Although the fees are quite high and would mostly turn off several crypto enthusiast, it's not that much of a problem anyway if you consider how convenient it would be for the ones who would be using it. And with the risk that the private owners are taking for investing on producing such ATMs, we can just think of the extra fees as helping them out and in a bigger picture; helping hasten the mass adoption of crypto.
