61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why I think Defi and NFTs will be the most important elements in the cryptospace on: April 21, 2022, 11:42:44 AM

The way I see it, asking for this type of decentralisation is like asking for absolute freedom which is wrong in so many levels no matter where you look at it. There needs to be some limitations and I am thinking you probably already know why. That is the main reason though as to why we may not see a platform that can offer an absolute anonymity towards it's users. All we can do now is choose the better ones that have lots of benefits and can also offer at least good enough decentralisation to it's users.
62  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Anti-vaxxers now drinking their own urine on: April 21, 2022, 10:52:54 AM
Lol, I don't even know if I should be laughing or be worried about where the human evolution is heading now. Instead of going forward we seem to ba going backwards. This is madness and very misleading although might be quite hilarious, if it happens to someone I know or care about specially close friends and family, it'll be a nightmare trying to change their views.

That's how the medical establishment felt about some goofy so-called 'doctor' who had this crazy idea that unsanitary conditions in a hospital contributed to infection.

After reducing the rate of sepsis down to near zero in his ward by asking the medical staff to wash their hands, Ignaz Semmelweis was lauded by his peers as a great hero of medical science.  Just kidding; they had him committed to a mental institution where he was beaten by the guards and died from an infection of a wound he received during the assault.

Dude, you are literally comparing sanitation and cleanliness to urine consumption. Are you sure you're convinced with your own comparison? Try puting yourself at my end and I tell you such argument. What would you think? Everyone has their own view and mine is not in favor of urine consumption and by your response I believe you agree to urine consumption. That's your decision and I respect that. Hope you'd respect mine as well.

The problem is that several tests are needed to deem some remedy to be effective to the majority. That doctor's case is sad and unfortunate it is what it is. If people accept just about any remedy made out there the consequences would be fatal. Don't hate on skeptisism, if not for it human medecine nevee would've advanced to this point.
63  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Quarantine measures in China, Shanghai on: April 21, 2022, 10:21:03 AM
I for one never really heard about this anywhere here in my country be it on local social media or news on the television. I never would've been informed about this if not for a friend who teaches english as second language online to chinese children. She told me about lockdowns happening there a couple weeks back which she heard from her own students themselves. I'm guessing that China is trying to not let this news spread or maybe it's because of the coming elections in my country. Maybe the media are too focused on the elections right now so they didn't tackle about this? Anyway, the way op expressed this js pretty scary.
64  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dormant Address Containing 100 BTC Activated After 12.4 Years When BTC Was $0.08 on: April 20, 2022, 05:43:31 PM
Man, it never bores me to see such events happening. It really amazes me how people have such great self control in holding onto these coins. There can also be other variables as well like the owner must already be super rich or at least to a point where he doesn't need to compromise his holdings. Another would be losing access and just regaining it. Then there's the possibility of forgetting about it and just remembering recently which is somehow pretty rare of hard to believe. Lastly, the high belief for BTC's potential.

Whichever the case, I just can't imagine the feeling though, buying bitcoins back then at auch a cheap price on a whim just for the sake of trying out a new thing and ending up being a millionaire a couple of years later. Talk about real luck.
65  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress] on: April 20, 2022, 03:19:16 PM
I have been reading the responses of the people here and I have gained better insight about the situation in Ukraine and Russia, how people are coping or reacting to these incidents. But the conversation is somehow progressing in an ugly manner. It is slowly becoming personal attacks now instead of being informative. It would be nice if we keep on the topic itself for the sake of spreading authentic and good information which is pretty rare to find on local news nowadays. Thanks and have a great day everyone.
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there any Bounty who is giving Big Reward. on: April 20, 2022, 01:00:13 PM

This one surely does. The problem about this is that this is the type of job which isn't accomplishable or nearly impossible for just some average joe out there which is what the majority of people here are, including me. People who have such skillsets wpuld be better off looking for some better alternative rathen than squandering time here unless for the purpose of fulfilling self interests or to learn more from like minded people from different fields of expertise.
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitgert is all set to surpass Solana on: April 16, 2022, 06:23:19 PM
Such big claims you got there brother, mind expanding more about this or at least placing some good comparisons between the two for people like me who never even hear of bitgert before? That would be very much appreciated. Not to mention how it would help improve your argument. Solana right now has already accomplished lots of things and have overcome quite a few roadblocks that came it's way. It ain't that easy to say that some new altcoin just popped out of nowhere and surpassed solana just like that.
68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there any Bounty who is giving Big Reward. on: April 16, 2022, 05:08:37 PM
The only advice I can give you is that you ahould take your time socializing and considering what you can contribute first to this community since your rank is still pretty low. By doing this, not only will you be familiar with this forum but you will also be able to raise your rank. This will make it easier for you to then relate to most of the people here while adjusting to the rules and environment here. It will also help you know where to navigate when finding good bounties and which type of bounties suit your personality or posting style and schedule. Hope this helps brother.
69  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Fiat Will Always Be The Norm on: April 16, 2022, 04:30:11 PM
The fiat currency that the majority of the people in the world has already gotten well accustomed to isn't that easy to remove from the equation. Other alternatives may offer great convenience but it will mot replace the ease of exchanging goods when fiat is used. And so, we can only be satisfied that bitcoin or any crypto currency is already being massly adopted and not being rejected by the world of being labelled as fully illegal by the governments. With this, I can only see fiat still being the primary choice for the majority in the near future.
70  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are your coins really safe stored in your wallet? on: April 15, 2022, 12:31:03 PM
I had recently been thinking about how really safe bitcoins or/and other alt coins are when stored in your wallet.
With fiat currency, financial institutions; mostly banks go all out with the notion that their institutions are safe and their vaults are top notch yet they still fall prey to bank robbers who would cart away valuables from the vault.
How safe then are the wallets used in storing coins? And if they could at any time and in any way be compromised hence losing your bitcoins

You see op, Bitcoin itself and it's blockchain technology is well made and is pretty safe compared to banks nowadays. Now, the extent of this safety doesn't rely on wallets and bitcoin along with it's blockchain technology alone. If human error is involved, then even if bitcoin is safe, it wouldn't matter. For example if you accidentally pasted a private key instead of an address and it gets notifed by someonw, then it would likely be stolen. So it's safety really depends on the person holding the keys.
71  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Bitcoin network will soon become more centralized on: April 15, 2022, 10:59:28 AM

Which leaves simple people like us with too little to no choice about the matter. We are forced to accept centralisation for the sake of being able to make use of the profits we are gaining from all the investments and hard work we put into a wide variety of crypto and crypto related assets. I just hope that the governments and banks do not take it a bit too far because if they do, it'll be a huge war between people who have already been accustomed to decentralisation and the people who loves to impose limitations or rid us off of this little extent of anonymity we have when we use crypto.

73  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russia Sanctions Will Spur the Adoption of Crypto and Reduce USD Dominance - IMF on: April 14, 2022, 05:32:22 PM

Thanks for this, such good information. Now, looking at this, we can easily say that the tactics were dumb and the overconfident Russian military had suffered a massive consiquence due to their arrogance. The problem here is the execution of tactics. The tactician was to proud and did not consider all possibilities. This does not mean though that the overall plan was stupid. Just that the execution of some oarts of it was bad. In this case, military tactics.
74  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Finland is next on: April 14, 2022, 04:25:15 PM

Well, what can we expect though, pride and personal interests can make someone disregard and forget their own morals. Heck, the world being already as it is, it would be pretty odd to see leaders that should be serving the very people that put them into their positions actually doing what they are supposed to. At this day and age, it is very rare to find a leader that is both smart and compassionate and even if there are, people choose the wrong ones still or hate on the good leaders. People never gets satisfied and just looks for a rock to drop on their own heads.
75  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if she receives Bitcoin as gift on: April 14, 2022, 03:42:30 PM
The gifts that are given should be ones that a person likes or is something of interest at least. Bitcoin or any crypto currency put there is good and all but only if the person you are gifting it to is someone that is already immersed in this industry and has developed a liking to cryptos. But if the one you're gifting it to is someone that hasn't even heard of it before and you just want ro educate them about it before giving it(which may or may not make them like it but would not admit it to your face), then that is a big no no. Might as well gift them something you know they want or are fond of.
76  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Bitcoin network will soon become more centralized on: April 13, 2022, 03:53:48 PM
Well, what can you expect tho? The governments almost everywhere in the world are serious about money laundering and thus uses this excuse as well to suppress every crypto enthusiast as much as they can. But then most crypto enthusiasts are against this. And so after a few years several compromises have been made which is what we see nowadays. Centralization just cannot be avlided and along with other variables, we can expect bitcoin to be more centralised in the future specially after being fully mined.
77  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When and how did you discover Bitcoin? on: April 13, 2022, 03:21:38 PM
I have somewhat the same problem with the op by not being able to remember when or how I really did discover crypto currencies. One thing I do remember though is that I had strong negative thoughts about it because I heard it was being used by criminals and was in a way against the government. Which js what you would expect for someone who doesn't know anything about bitcoin yet specially techy stuff. But I also remember that what truly made me know of crypto currencies is my friend and that Is when I really started reading more and understanding more about bitcoin and other altcoins. An estimation I have for when I discovered bitcoin is within 2014-2015. While this about this forum late 2016 maybe.
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NIKE Metaverse on: April 13, 2022, 02:41:38 PM
This is pretty amazing but not something out of the ordinary considering the increasing amount of NFTs and NFT creators popping out of nowhere every now and then. Eventually, brilliant minds will be able to capitalize on this and thus the emergence of a wide variety of good quality NFTs that brands can make use of. And wirh the increasing numbers of people aiding the mass adoption of the crypto industry, we can expect even more of such collaborations and phenomenal works in the near future. We are entering a new age and we are the early birds.
79  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in early stage projects is the most rewarding way? on: April 09, 2022, 05:31:44 PM
After dozens of experiences in all these years of being in this industry, I would rather invest on the ones that have finished IDO - to wait for the price to go below IDO price. Specially nowadays that most projects are trash that even when it has great ideology and utility it can still fail. But hey, im not generalising. It's just that I've seen enough to make me believe that projects that go straight up from IDO price is very rare. Still though, it's a matter of reference, if one loves to gamble or thinks the benefits in the long run are better that the altcoin price itself, it's that person's choice. At the end of the day, everyone is responsible for their own actions. Fail or succeed, the onetaking the risk will be the one to profit or lose. So what can I say, each to his own.
80  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Finland is next on: April 09, 2022, 03:58:59 PM
Seems like a plausible plan to just go to war and reset everything for the sake of getting rid of problems easier. Might sound exaggerated but they might really be considering this decision. But hey, Putin already has his hands full with Ukraine and the well being of his own country due to sanctions and the invasion not ending as fast as he might've thought it would so I don't think Finland has a lot to worry about. Thing is, war or not, Finland may regret such plans if thing go way kut of plans. Considering how nato couldn't do much to help Ukraine. Just hope these leaders in general put the interest of the people first before themselves.
