101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO]HoweyCoins: the only BitcoinTalk-endorsed ICO - GUARANTEED PROFIT on: August 26, 2020, 11:48:04 AM
Yeah GUARANTEED PROFIT indeed. That is a huge red flag in my opinion. There is no free lunch to be had, and tells me this is most likely an attempt to get as much money as possible and sooner or later the investors are left holding the bag. Maybe they mean GUARANTEED PROFIT for themselves and  GUARANTEED losses for you??

If only there was a website or a forum thread where you could read how it works. But I guess you'll never find out and will miss the opportunity of your lifetime. Sorry about that.

Oh I know how a scam works, no need for a website to tell me how a scam like this works, seen it too many times before and know very well how these scams operate. They usually put out a lot of smoke and mirrors, say they'll guaranty you a profit, call it an opportunity of a lifetime and so on. So how many fools did this "project" scam?

103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PoW] [PoS] VEIL - Privacy without compromise on: August 25, 2020, 08:22:53 AM
Seems like this thread is more or less being kept alive only by the people behind the project right now. Is there any interest from anybody else? Not been checking out this project for a while. What are the plans going forward for Veil? Is it simply the fact that Bitcoin and alts have been on a steady rise for the last 6 months, and whoever is behind Veil atm wants to milk whoever they can get some funds out off??
104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Im planning to invest in Ethereum. Is this a good plan? on: August 22, 2020, 07:08:44 AM

-snip

Although the price of Ethereum has been somewhat dropping from the recent highs, it is still quite close to the highs of the last 12 months. Is this a classic buy the dip scenario, or is more pain and downward momentum to follow. A small tip from me, watch the priceaction of gold, there might be a correlation gold-crypto.

There is zero correlation between gold and crypto...
Most difficult thing when investing, is to know when is the time to buy (or to sell). Everyone needs to make his own strategy and do his own research; personally, I would wait to buy ethereum right now.

I think there is some correlation between gold and crypto, at least somewhat more than it used to in the past. For non US investors, Bitcoin becomes cheaper in their local currencies when the dollar drops. Both gold and crypto tend to rally together when the dollar drops.

So tell me, are you in the paranoid or the drug camp - or both, guess being a drug dealer/user would make you somewhat paranoid. I never stated I think a Legendary's words matter more than a n00bs. I'm sure you have been spewing BS here for a very long time by the looks of your juvenile comments.

I'm in the Individual Freedom camp. Go shill trusted institutional control somewhere else, we don't need you here.

Its funny all people have to do to see you are a complete liar is to backtrack this conversation. You specifically called that other person a newb and dismissed his post because of that.

So yeah Fuck off Retard.

You win the Ignore reward.

Hey, what is your problem dude, you seem unable to keep a civilized conversation without turning to unsavory namecalling and swearing, time to grow up dude and stop acting like a 14 y o. You come off as a somewhat rude narcissistic psychopath though, stop smoking all that pot and maybe your brain will clear up and be more empathetic towards whoever your talking to. I recommend you go talk to a shrink, if you don't do this I feel sorry for your family and people around you.

Get help while you still can dude, you can thank me later.
106  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Good news on: August 21, 2020, 07:28:02 AM
Comes off as a very risky strategy if you ask me. Trading between 3500 and some 12000 last 12 months. Trading right now near it's highs for the year, hard to tell the price direction going forward. Only thing we can tell for sure is that it is quite expensive right now compared to the rest of the year.
It is not impossible to touch the next high price, and if we take a look at the market now, it seems, the price now is at sideways conditions until the end of this week. Maybe there is a sign for the price to move up and start another rally. We can hope that the price will touch another new ATH in the next week, so we can back to make another profit.

Looking at the chart going back to the month of March, we basically had a rally and whoever bought in cheap might be tempted to secure some (or all) of their profits since price has been stalling lately. Tough to tell the direction short term, but I would tend to think risk is much higher now at sub 12k than sub 4k. Here is a question for you guys out there, if one did not buy at 4K, why on earth would someone buy at 12k, that would be plain idiocy.

Hey, i'm sure this project is great for the paranoid and drug dealers and the like. Drug dealers need some love too. Just wondering what the appeal is to the larger crowds out there that are not selling stuff on the "darkweb". Give me some solid reasons why anyone should invest in GRIN, I don't really see it for most real life crypto case users.

You talk as if ordinary users don't need anonymity functions. For example, I don't want someone to know how much cryptocurrency I have and to whom I make payments. I actively use ETH and it is not possible to hide it there. It is not comfortable.

Fair enough  Smiley Hardly see anyone complain about this with most Bitcoin or Ethereum users.

Thats because you don't know anyone that holds a large amount.

Its obvious from your comments to your shitcoin shilling sig that you have no clue whats going on.

Not to mention the fact you think a Legendary's words matter more than a n00bs, that just shows how clueless you really are.

Fair enough  Smiley Hardly see anyone complain about this with most Bitcoin or Ethereum users. Could be an issue if one holds huge amounts of funds. For most users thats hardly something they give a second thought. My impression is that most people aren't bothered by this and that the use case is quite limited to very few people. Hence price and interest in GRIN will probably never be all that high.
109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: August 20, 2020, 07:31:13 AM
The ETH 2.0 testnet ‘Medalla’ came to a grinding halt due to a time-bug that took a majority of testnet validators offline. This is the first instance of the network coming to a stop.

https://coingeek.com/ethereum-2-0-testnet-goes-offline/

If this Ethereum 2.0 tanks hard, what will happen to the prospects of the Ethereum project, will it start to dwindle or will it have no to little effect? Will it simply just go on in it's current state? Can anyone tell me if there is a plan B if the problems we have seen with the 2.0 testnet continues,

Every project will have a bug or two in their codes it's a good thing that it was caught in the testnet version of the network and, they quickly fixed it. No need to worry for now, I guess finding bugs is normal procedure in testnet.

Sure, I get what you are saying. As long as they can fix the problems that pop up the project will be better off. That being said if they end up finding a lot more bugs and problems, Ethereum 2.0 might possibly be delayed or somehow altered compared to original plans???
110  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Good news on: August 20, 2020, 07:17:20 AM
$ 15k for this year I think is a very reasonable price, at least make the small miners switch sides to mine other altcoins and be replaced by the big companies that will mine this bitcoin, it's definitely safer and better, hash power increases because the difficulty level is very high too , after yesterday's bitcoin halving made a little block reward and of course it will be difficult to get big profits
What I think is bitcoin price can pass more than just $15k this year because we already touch $12k, and it's on the way to reach $13k. So I think we will have more possibilities to break more than $15k this year. But unfortunately, we can only predict without knowing if that will happen or not, and we can wait for the time to comes. If the price can break $15k this year, that means, our recovery process will be over, and we will make a big profit again when the bull run comes.

Comes off as a very risky strategy if you ask me. Trading between 3500 and some 12000 last 12 months. Trading right now near it's highs for the year, hard to tell the price direction going forward. Let me try again, why does this project even exist, not sure the crypto world really need it...

Why do alts - in general - exist?
Because by your reasoning, they shouldn't.

This makes me believe this project is doomed to mediocracy at best.

Tell that to the miners. Zero reasoning indeed.
[insert sparkpool.ditching.shitcoins.for.grin meme here]

don't waste your funds on this project, it probably won't be going anywhere but down in price long term.

Thanks for the advise. Was it financial? Tongue

It seems to me that the hype surrounding the implementation of these anonymous functions in Litecoin will be very cool. Consequently, GRIN loses its uniqueness and investment attractiveness.
While I think it's a good idea for Litecoin to add this to distinguish itself, it doesn't make Grin lose any value because they're completely different. I don't know about investment, but Grin still has a very unique position in the space which can in my opinion only be stopped by a new technology emerging that is far superior - which we have yet to see.

Grin did not have all that much going for it in the first place. Ooh so it's a privacy coin, wow, will it ever have a large potential userbase besides the paranoid and drug users and pushers. If I am way off here, please tell me why Grin is going to be a huge winner going forward  Wink
You're way off here, but you should do your own research to find out why Wink

Seriously, A newb with like 7 posts telling me I'm way off. I had expected somewhat more than that. As for your reasoning, you basically have none, guess your maybe thinking I should simply just take your word for it. I'm gonna need a bit more than that. Let me try again, why does this project even exist, not sure the crypto world really need it...

People use alts for a reason N00b.

Well again, there is absolutely zero reasoning, this time from a Legendary no less. This makes me believe this project is doomed to mediocracy at best.
Right now Grin is ranked at place 295 at Coinmarketcap, don't waste your funds on this project, it probably won't be going anywhere but down in price long term.
113  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Good news on: August 20, 2020, 05:07:55 AM
Speculation is really something that will likely to happen.
What speculations do you have, another $20k, another ATH?
In a certain thing that it can be possible to happen but unlikely we can't predict it when.

Btc currently drop some percentage in terms of its market price. The btc market is very hard to predict. It is not mostly going to happen on what we have expected. If expect something great to happen but it did not and it will just cause a stress. So, if I were to invest or believe in something then that will be my own prediction.
In a thing that the market is unpredictable, it is still worthless to think high more than the thing that the market has. Because the market shows huge pumps, then we can say or think that we able to be at ATH gain? Not really is that and it never works that easily.

This time might be a good time to invest but I think it is better to invest when there is a market crash to happen.
No, I don't think this is a good time to invest Bitcoin, but it is for you to decide and accept the risk. Nothing is the perfect time for investment but much better to start when the market is still low than the situation we have now.

The month of March was a good time to invest in Bitcoin, there was panic in the streets and the price of Bitcoin touched some 3500 dollars. It's had a bull run for the last six months, and the easy profits are already gone. If you didn't invest (more) in March, why should you do so now at almost 12,000 dollars?

Eth price is now dropping, im just waiting for the price to go down 350$ for me to start buying again before the great bullrun happen, and lastly if you plan to invest in eth, then go for it its a good investment

The price of Ethereum is dropping, as many expected, after weeks of rising experienced people in crypto-market expect
the price to top out and to start falling down. Nobody can say where will be the bottom of this drop, you're buying orders are
at $350 and that's high bottom, Ethereum makes progress with setting up higher bottom after every rise.
Ethereum is great investment for long-term holding. It's grate for traders as well, the price fluctuate and who follow charts
can spot good opportunities for making profit.

Although the price of Ethereum has been somewhat dropping from the recent highs, it is still quite close to the highs of the last 12 months. Is this a classic buy the dip scenario, or is more pain and downward momentum to follow. A small tip from me, watch the priceaction of gold, there might be a correlation gold-crypto.

hello I'm waiting for a month for you to solve the problem I have 1471012 BTV coins stuck in the wallet. I have more than 80 withdrawals that are in conflict

Checking again this thread for updates but seems that this project is already dead? I have coins bought in erex before because I thought this one is a promising one. However, their site and explorer are already down. So that means, this project is dead and our coins are already useless?  Cry

Updates. The only update is that Bitvaluta is completely dead, website is down, Bitvaluta forum is down, discord is inactive. It wont be much deader than what it is right now. Still trading at Erex if that can even be considered an exchange  Cheesy Cheesy Volume is zero though. If you can get anything for your coins I advice you to sell.
117  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Good news on: August 19, 2020, 10:59:10 AM
Surely Bitcoin will increase its value rapidly because each time miners turn on their miners the market becomes stronger. I have faith that bitcoin will soon return on its way to the highest ATH. We're having some trouble getting into technical analysis and Bitcoin value manipulation situations. The rapid increase in the price of bitcoin will lead to a correction. I expect the next bull wave will be in October-December

Yeah Bitcoin is great, slow for real life usage, expensive if you actually use it to buy something. Bitcoin is simply screaming for something better, faster and cheaper to take its place. I will be very surprised if something much better hasn't taken Bitcoins place in 10 years from now.

What is happening to GRIN? One year ago that was a great hype that GRIN is a future of anonymous cryptocurrencies, but when I look at market capitalization then Verge is doing better  Cheesy Roll Eyes.
And what happened when Litecoin use MimbleWimble technology, does GRIN make a sense after that?  Huh

It seems to me that the hype surrounding the implementation of these anonymous functions in Litecoin will be very cool. Consequently, GRIN loses its uniqueness and investment attractiveness.
