101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: To bounty hunters & investors on: October 20, 2019, 08:26:52 PM
Today, the activity of hunters and investors has really decreased very much, since there are still quite a lot of bad projects on the cryptocurrency market, and in some cases fraud.  At bitcointalk, there has been a decrease in the number of hunters who participate in bounty companies compared to previous years.  And investors do not want to invest because of the big risks.  Only those projects that really show good results without a doubt win, but it is very difficult to find something promising, since even a good analysis may not give the desired result.

Yes, you are right and that is why the more bad projects we have than good projects, the more people loose funds and interests in making any investment. I think the onus lies on every cryptocurrency enthusiast and evangelist to always engage in positive publicity of crypto and chide scam. Also we should always learn and relearn and better the crypto knowledge of others as well.
102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think 40% bonus is too much for early Investors? on: October 14, 2019, 11:20:44 PM
Somehow yes
But this is how early investors get rewarded

Else they would just wait and invest late
There's pros and cons of it

However, most of these token would likely being lock-up unlike the late investors which they can trade freely
It really depends

40 percent to early investors is way too reckless and discouraging for investors like me. Infact, once I see that in token economics, it turns off my investment drive and I look elsewhere unless in cases where there will be lock up periods for the token release. Only then can I have a rethink. Also most developers that offer such high and ridiculous bonuses are just thirsty money mongers looking to trap some unsuspecting investors
103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scammers, the biggest crypto problem on: October 14, 2019, 11:17:38 PM
Just like i used to include in my points that scammers is the main problem crypto is facing presently i come across this news on the internet today about how scammers keep on contrarily influence the digital currencies. As indicated by Changpeng Zhao, the CEO and originator of Binance, there are in excess of 1,500 Binance con artists on the expert informal community LinkedIn. The quantity of Binance scammers on LinkedIn can in the end arrive at 1,605. Now imagine how big scammers are damaging crypto

I can't agree less. I believe a lot of people have either tested the cryptocurrency space of have good knowledge about It but not interested due to the incessant rippled effects of bad players withing the industry. Its either exchange or coin hack this week, or a project developer has eloped with community funds. The stakeholders that be, needs to find a way to checkmate these scams to have a better and safer business environment
104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Privacy Scandal at its peak. on: October 14, 2019, 10:38:52 PM
While searching, I bumped on this article https://medium.com/vid-foundation/the-great-hack-e8a2795d9da0 written by and posted on @Vid-foundation on medium. At first, I skipped but I couldn't skip on ignoring the word "hack". So, I head on to watch #TheGreatHack on @Netflix. There I drew my conclusion on the fact that social media are just sort of privacy-mongers.

To understand better, please take a watch following the link I posted above. The attention of the VID itself -being a video-centric media restraining itself from having users' information in custody is a topic for another day. But for now, I'm taking two days off filtering all of my personal infos on traditional social media. I'm disheartened.

I am a fan of VID and what they are doing to bring a decentralised and privacy focused social media to 7 billion World population using the zero-knowledge encryption technology. Zuckerberg's Facebook really messed up in his handling with 2billion personal datas committed into his care and that is probably the reason why the United State Senators and not keen to trust him with Blockchain banking through Libra
105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will crypto really go to zero? on: October 14, 2019, 10:33:00 PM
Crypto has a large community and enthusiasts, it is not impossible that crypto will be going to zero but the possibility is very small considering there have been many adoptions
and there are always lots of new projects every day that make crypto more familiar

I am so certain that cryptocurrency will not go to zero but rather remain stable or evolve. The world's technology advancement is moving too fast already. Quantum technologies, virtual realities etc and only a digital asset can match this pace which is what crypto will bring. We should actually look forward to crypto adoption rather than crypto annihilation
106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Ethereum 2.0 Pulls Up Ether? on: October 14, 2019, 08:35:57 PM
it depends whether the upgraded version will really resolve scalability problem or not. If the new version become successful then there is a high chance that the price will skyrocket since it will make transaction faster and cheaper that will result to mass adoption. there is also FOMO in crypto space so it will really give impact on the price.

I believe so too. The FOMO will be sustainable and hugely dependent on user satisfaction. If it solves no lingering scalability issue facing Ethereum, the community will be disappointed and not too keen to buy in. So it basically depends on Ethereum 2.0 delivering the promised functionality we crave for
107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why we buy new token or coin? on: October 14, 2019, 08:30:40 PM
What is the most reason to buy new token or new coin, to trade it in the market or to spend it if there something to spend it?
I am talking here that token or coin already listing in exchanges.
And not tokens exchanges such as BNB.
What you think?

Basically, it's to trade it for profit. There's not more practical applications of cryptocurrency at the moment in terms of spending it on physical items. Although alchemy has a usecase in that region and via its payment portal solution, btc, eth and bch can be used to purchase items in a physical store called Pricerite in Hong-Kong
108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If you could invest in a project with it's own hardware device, WOULD YOU? on: October 14, 2019, 06:44:05 PM
I will not invest in VIPER because it has its own hardware wallet like Ledger and Trezor but if I see potentials that may suggest VIPER may become the next biggest hardware wallet, then I will invest in its tokenised asset. But until then, I will rather stick to proven and assured investment options till I am convinced of the risks of investing into new hardware platforms
109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: !!! SO MANY PROJECTS !!! What 's going on ? on: October 14, 2019, 06:39:05 PM
New projects make good news of good things to happen
Are they all right ?
Or are they all just chanting slogans ?

REALLY!!!  What 's going on ?
If you know a good project ,NAME IT !!!

I believe that the creators of the projects just want to make quick money. Moreover, cryptocurrencies are now in trend and here you can create fraudulent projects with impunity. Of course there are good projects, but there really are only a few of them. I believe that further this trend will continue, and possibly even increase. Of course, this is bad and encourages the community to negatively participate in ICOs and IEOs.

The statistics may not be exactly correct but a large proportion of these developers are in it for personal gain not for a better society and humanity through blockchain. They create a fictitious IT, Ecommerce, health or Finance startup and solicit for funds which will be embezzled by them. We need to start doing researches enough to bust these bad players and keep the cryptocurrency and blockchain space clean
110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: telegram is coming to blockchain too on: October 13, 2019, 09:59:43 PM
This must be the biggest ico we have witness in a long time, raising up to $1.7 billion is no joke at especially in recent times where many projects are struggling to raise money, I can't wait to see this tokens trading in the market, I hope they can resolve the issue with sec and move on with lunching of the project, I want to buy some GRAM too.

of course it is, much much bigger than libra, all thanks to telegram ecosystem itself, which is liked by users,
i have heard and read some unconfirmed not_good news about the today, but i hope they are just rumeurs,
i wont share them as i dont like to share unconfirmed news, but lets wish theat they come up and show the crypto market how it should be managed, exactly like their messenger that is one of the best in business.

Telegram's TON ICO isn't really the biggest ICO till date though. I mean EOS raised over $4B. You can't raise that much money and not raise an eyebrow. I was certain the sec would be keeping an eye and would clap back. When EOS was taken to court by the sec, They were fined only $20M. If something similar as that happens to this Telegram's case, It shouldn't be much of a problem. The impact of this shouldn't be that serious because They're still on track to distribute tokens to investors and that they're working to resolve the sec filing according to a report they released today.

Telegram has really come a long way in cryptocurrency. I thinks it's among the first community crypto has asides Bitcointalk. But what amazes me most if how Telegram raised such huge amount from VCs and other private investors swiftly without even soliciting for funds openly. 1.7b us dollars Is really a lot of money and SEC couldn't look past it
111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Some IEOs could also turn out to be scam on: October 13, 2019, 09:49:26 PM
As an investor, i cannot participate in IEO conducted by small and new exchanges. The main reason why IEOs are preferred to ICOs is because they are more prone to scam than ICOs, and this is because the exchange validates its legality with their reputation. Imagine Binance or any top exchange conducting a scam project, it will jeopardize their integrity, and these exchanges do not want their integrity in question, so they only offer legit and promising projects IEO. New exchanges do not have the reputation to validate a project, they are just after the profit, SO they might promote a scam project either intentionally or unintentionally.

Maybe so! I remember some projects like CMA accusing IDAX of scam and then I remembered I have not really come accross a successful IEO from the exchange. While that may not be absolute, the purpose of IEOs was to eliminate scams from project developers during fund raising and I think that aim was achieved. So generally, IEOs went on fine

113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: the Ton, one of the biggest project ! on: October 03, 2019, 11:07:29 PM
well, recently we hear about TON, the telegram ico project.
many many controversion come from this ico
since from when exactly this ico started i dont know for sure, and then japan exchange offered TON with highly prices , almost 3.50 bucks/each .
however, the private sale from liquid is complete. i quite sure the project will be top by this year.
but now, according from some source ,TON blockchain will be launched in late october.
and also the good news , the telegram blockchain Will Support Ethereum dApps.
so, how u think guys about this one ?
for me, somehow i just speculate TON more promising than LIBRA.
from Any Side.

I understand the token will go for 3.2usd per coin. I am yet to have more technical information on the usecases to see if there's anything exquisite maybe I will but from the tokensale which will continue on exmarket till 8th October
114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Do not be deceived by inexperienced bounty hunters on: October 03, 2019, 10:51:06 PM
Try not to be beguiled, there is cash to be make in promoting bounty projects ,the individuals who make colossal cash will never express an announcement about it, don't leave since individuals reveal to you they aren't paying because i still find out today that many bounty hunters still don't know what they are doing when choosing projects to promote, they are still choosing projects blindly and don't depend on a solitary tasks either but the most important is not to get deceived by inexperienced bounty hunters cos they will always have bad news to share about bounties

I don't know how long you have been in crypto but I am sure I am older and I command more experience Wink. Times have changed for bounty hunters and you must accept that. Earlier years, you have 7 good paying bounties out of 10 but nowadays, out of every 10 bounties, only 1 is good paying. And this one good paying bounty will be filled with crowded spreadsheet. Do you now see the difference now? The numbers of good bounties have reduced drastically and it hurts most hunters
115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will crypto really go to zero? on: October 02, 2019, 09:03:12 PM
In my opinion, no! Cryptocurrency is fast gaining adoption but alot of people who focus on the trading aspects don't know this much. I saw a video of bitcoin and Ethereum being used as a mode of payment in a supermarket (Price rite) Hong Kong. Cryptocurrency adoption is certain
116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No trading volume is same as dead coin on: October 02, 2019, 08:57:48 PM
I will say this, I have a lot of such coins. Such coins remain mainly with the bounty campaigns and there is little hope for them.
How long do you keep these coins in your wallet? How often and where do you check their price?

As long as his wallet functions. I have many of such coins too from airdrop and bounties. 90 percent of them are dead projects. It's like an eyesore in my wallet. Having over 80 tokens in your wallet but all of them are not worth up to $5. I have turned off the button of all these shitcoins in my imtoken wallet so that I won't have to see them again
117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sold my house for buying altcoins need your help on: October 01, 2019, 11:12:04 PM
First of all I don't believe OP has sold a house and bought altcoins with that money. I expect that people who can do such transactions will spend time on Bitcointalk.
Also in march 2018 he wrote that his life savings were 28k$, then later wrote that "I have now got 0".
That's much less than this alleged investment. So he's trolling.

Now, investing into altcoins may be good because they are low now and there's a chance (but not a guarantee) that they'll rise again in the near future. And altcoin investments, if done correctly, although much riskier than Bitcoin, can give much bigger results too. But since the risk is so big to lose (almost) everything, one should invest only what he affords to lose and clearly not sell a house for that.

I thought as much. Why would anyone sell his house to invest in altcoins (instead of bitcoins). I do agree that some altcoins have potential to return huge unprecedented ROIs but then looking at coinmarketcap with over 1000 altcoins, the probability of picking the gem altcoin becomes a difficult math with me. So I will rather stick with btc. But then if the Original poster truly meant it, all I can say is good luck
118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is this still possible today? on: October 01, 2019, 10:53:17 PM
If in 2017 it really happened and at that time the development of altcoin was very good and now a lot of old altcoins have gone ash and it is very difficult to follow the old footsteps, and we can see now that many investors no longer trust the ICO project because often fraud and scam projects occur, I hope that in the future everything will go well.

Here is what happened and why it's difficult to have such phenomenon pay out again. Back then in 2017, crypto was largely new to the greater percentage of the public and most coins witnessed organic growth prior to the bull. Nowadays, you don't wait for organic growth in coin volume, you rather pay for market markets and exchange bots to boost your coin trade volume to millions and yes you boom.
119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is happening to new projects? on: October 01, 2019, 10:48:11 PM
I do not see anything surprising or abnormal in this. How many startups started in 2017 - 2018? A great many! How many have been successful? Units.
Also in the crypto market most projects, as elsewhere, will not achieve their goals, due to the fact that they are not able to do this for a number of reasons, they will leave the race and leave the way for others. But how long it really takes to form cryptocurrencies in the form in which we want to see them is a big question.

I agree with your premise. The new projects are not recieving much attention nowadays because of what I call redundancies. Same thing(Whitepaper, usecase, Tokenomics, mainnet etc) over and over again. Traders and enthusiasts need something new or assuring to revive the interest in new projects. IEOs brought it early this year but it seems to be fading gradually.
120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If Bitcoin price increases suddenly. What will happen? on: September 29, 2019, 08:07:36 PM
If Bitcoin price increases suddenly.
Does this change encourage buyers to consider investing in Crypto solutions like ICO platform or Exchange Software Development for their Business?

Rising bitcoin prices is always positive for cryptocurrency market. The growth in market capitalization will portray general acceptance by the public and new people will be eager to ride the wave by investing more funds in cryptocurrency projects
