101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: New web Wallet Staking system OPEN FOR TESTERS JustStake.Online on: February 20, 2016, 08:18:02 PM
Hi guys
Ok then
We know what we would like to charge for this service lol

But

What would you pay?

Don't think it going to be per coin but as a total service with every user having access to every coin
So what's your thoughts ?

$25 $45 $55 per year?
Or your thoughts

I'd prefer to pay a percentage of my stake. Personally I'd have a tiered percentage... the more coins a person stakes the less percentage charged. You'd attract more people that are new to crypto or just new to stake coins even if your entry percentage was a bit high. People with a lot of coins would stick around for the convenience of not having to deal with multiple wallets and the electricity costs.

This is exactly how our team did our pricing, but we are not a pos POOL, but an individual service based on each clients need.

We talking monthly?
We can do it like that but I think yearly is better
My opinion is that the payment should be based on your actual "production" and in the produced currency, this is the only way for end user to know he will get some profits no matter what.
Then provide the option on a monthly fee, in BTC or USD.
Pegging the price to BTC/USD gives the user more troubles calculating what he would end up with in the end.

This is more complex solution, but most fair from what i can see.
You only pay for what you produce/stake independent on BTC/USD fluctations.

IW

I think you havnt been reading the posts on here or the little information on there site, there objective is to drive down the cost we pay to stake down our coins, if they can do it for less energy than we consume, were fundamentally better off regardless of a stakes "proffitability" driving down costs can go along way into driving up profitability.

price wise, i calculated my computer costs me about $65 a year in electric, remaining on almost 24/7 for staking, id prolly be willing to pay half that and switch my computer of for 18hours a day....... gonna be each to there own i guess, how much are there investments worth and can they justify the cost, well if yoru computers on 24/7 i can justify it. Its called a no brainer.
I did read everything here and on their page, and also about their masternode services and exchange.
I think it is you that did not understand what i was writing.

I like how they want to push down the price for the end user, keep going that route.

104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Offers to help communities of failing coins on: February 20, 2016, 07:28:35 PM
Of all the devs of any coins you are the one that have thought this innovation,there are advantages and disadvantages with this plan but would like you to proceed to see if this is a good plan,many holders of dead coins will definitely like this plan and maybe involve in Rimbit as well

We did test this idea out last year and found some issues, that this time around, we will avoid them.

We know Rimbit will take a drop, when we do an exchange, but it will be based on the community of both Rimbit and the coin in question, before we offer a changeover.

How this will play out over the long term is speculative... But we use our forum effectively, so everyone concerned will know if the project will succeed or fail.

Interesting, we are almost ready to launch our version of this model, cooperation?

Time to checkout there rivals then, juststake.online there BRAND New, but worth a shot right? OK coin is listed there and showing as active / staking
Checked them out, and must say i wonder how they are able to offer the prices they do.
From what i see, you practicaly get your own VPS, separate IPs and more for less than a normal VPS costs??
Since our project is also offering similar services and am aware of the costs involved with this, i dont see how this will be long term sustainable.
Having said this, i did no further research than comparing their prices with others.

Competition is nice, spreading the stakes on multiple providers would be best for all.

IW

Staisybit will for sure not only a cloudstaker...the reason, why they are hard developing awesome stuff...
Be ready for the big updates soon...

Enough said

What i was trying to say, dont only judge from the initial cost of a product, but look at their infrastructure.
XQN is staying with Staisybit, very happy on how it works so far, and looking forward to your new improvments.

Happy cloud staking!

Interesting, XQN is watching your service.
We would also like to be represented with you, as we already are on most or all other cloud platforms Smiley
HOW can you afford these prices?
Since we are running a similar, but more individual option your  pricing model is similar to our Enterprise option, i do not understand how you can turn a profit on this.
Do you plan to run with negative income in the startup time, and calculate your fees after a "grace" period?

Anyhow, nice addition to the cloud staking eviroment, staking is a BIG and growing buisiniss.

Whats the typical price of a hodl at the moment ? I might be looking to buy some but how do you know what they sell for ?
Seems the going rate is 20-25k sat each HODL in OTC markets.
I put out 5000 for sale in our OTC thread, and you can place your bids there.
There are all coins we have available for sale.

110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / WTS 5000 HODL on: February 19, 2016, 04:53:15 PM
Since there is no exchange for HOdlcoin and demand is growing i would like to distribute 5000HOdlcoins.
Please note mining cost atm with current diff on running AWS server instance with 34CPUs varies between $0.08 and 0.1$ for each HOdl coin mined.

About HOdl:

HOdlcoin earns you interest on every block for 30days Balance being Holded (HOdl) even if your wallet is offline. No POS, and you can earn extra bonuses by locking your Coins for some Time period, called "Term deposits"

1 week term deposit ~ 6.5% bonus on interest
1 month term deposit ~ 25% bonus on interest
3 month term deposit ~ 60% bonus on interest
6 month term deposit ~ 87% bonus on interest
1 year term deposit ~ 100% bonus on interest

+ APR %Bonuses up to 4000% (Check thread for more information).

So for example if you now buy 2000 Coins and make a max 1 year term deposit you will receive after 1 year around 80000 Coins!!!
More information about HOdlcoin: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1317918.0

Price is Fix: 0.25BTC for each 1000HOdl - About 25k Satoshis for each Coin.

CREDITS: Copy pasted from trader19 sales thread, 5% of sales will go to you, trader19 Smiley

We badly don't need an exchange at this early moment....

So then how is this open to those who want to invest in Hodl without mining and those who cannot possibly mine?
You can buy OTC, i am selling 5000 HODL if you want some.

Thank you to whoever listened to my wish and put up some coins for sale, this is a very good chance to get a bigger chunk for those interested in that.
Taking profits by putting up sell orders is a healthy way, and appreciated instead of directly dumping.
Pos fund will bite on it for sure, and if you get impatient you could always sell to us in our direct trade thread for other coins and spread out the sale pressure.
Thank you, happy trading!

114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: HoboNickels - HBN - High Fast Stake - Version 1.5. Come on in the water's fine! on: February 17, 2016, 05:42:51 PM
I want to buy HoboNickels. My price is 0.00001 BTC for one HBN (1000 Satoshis for one HBN, 100,000 HBN for one BTC). This is, because the only exchange cryptopia is not widely accepted at this time.

I wished Tranz to act as a trustee in between us. First send the HBN to Tranz' trust account, and send the transaction information in my PM and in Tranz' PM. (I suppose his wallet is backed up appropriately) (I would also trust a person, that Tranz has trust in)

Then I send the BTC to the sellers account, and list the transaction information
 in the sellers PM and in trustees PM.

After some days, if I finish my buys, Tranz sends 99% of the collected stake into my account. 1% is for him.

If interested, I will make a separate thread to keep this thread clean. (offer not yet opened, but in preparation) (and please, do not try to negotiate a higher price, I will not accept, but clean this in the moderated thread)
Hi,
XQNPOSFUND is interested in trading with you, we would like to sell our HBN for XQN and even with a discount.
We opened an Direct trade thread for such sales, and already done multiple trades on various Quality coins like HBN and others.
Our main link in my sig, and direct trade thread is linked in our ann.

Let us know...

116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [*] 8BIT [Dark Masternodes][Anon][Roadmap Stage 4] on: February 17, 2016, 04:09:46 PM
Hi,
Anyone running a "controller" wallet to start multiple masternodes?
Tried this guide from DNET, but 8bit client crashes for some reason.

Have tried this in controller wallet, and wallet gets Runtime error:
MN1 xxx.xx.xx.xx:9998 MASTERNODEPRIVKEY TRANSACTIONHASH 1(index)

MN1 xxx.xx.xx.xx:9998 MASTERNODEPRIVKEY
"TRANSACTIONHASH" : "1"

Where is my error/s?
Thank you,

IW

Step 1: From the very begining, on your laptop in the console enter "masternode genkey" twice, and enter
"getaccountaddress MN1" and "getaccountaddress MN2", the MN1 and MN2 could be substituted with any name
you would like to call the masternode addresses.

Step 2: Send 10k DNET to each of the addresses generated in step 1, making sure to send exactly 10k, in
one transaction to each. Now, execute "masternode outputs" in the console of your laptop wallets.

Step 3: Open the masternode.conf file in the data directory of your laptop's wallet and edit it. In one
line for each masternode follow this format: ALIAS IP:51472 MASTERNODEPRIVKEY TRANSACTIONHASH INDEX. The
ALIAS can be anything you want it to be, but for simplicities sake it may be best to use the name you used
for the wallet addresses, MN1 and MN2 in this example. The IP is the IP where the masternode wallet can be
found. the MASTERNODEPRIVKEY is the output from the command "masternode genkey" you entered earlier.
The TRANSACTIONHASH and INDEX are the output you received when you executed "masternode outputs" earlier.

Step 4: Open the darknet.conf file in the data directory of the controller wallet, again, on the laptop in
this example, Modify the contents to match this:
rpcuser=long random username
rpcpassword=longer random password
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
listen=0
server=1
daemon=1
logtimestamps=1
maxconnections=256

Step 5: Close the wallet and restart it.

Step 6: Open the darknet.conf file in the data directory of one of your masternode wallets, on a RPi in this
example. modify the contents of the file to look like this:
rpcuser=long random username
rpcpassword=longer random password
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
listen=1
server=1
daemon=1
logtimestamps=1
maxconnections=256
masternode=1
masternodeprivkey=XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Replacing the username and password with your own, and replacing the Xs with the masternode private key that
corresponds to the masternode alias you would like for this masternode.

Step 7: Close and restart that wallet.

Step 8: repeat steps 5 and 6 for the other masternode wallet, the other RPi in this example.

Final step: Now, both of your masternodes are setup, you just need to start them, you will do this with the
controlling wallet on your laptop. Open the console of the controlling wallet and enter "masternode start-many"
you should get an output something like this:
{
    "overall" : "Successfully started 2 masternodes, failed to start 0, total 2",
    "detail" : {
        "status" : {
            "alias" : "mn1",
            "result" : "successful"
        },
        "status" : {
            "alias" : "mn2",
            "result" : "successful"

You need for every masternode a separte folder on your harddisk. You must the local IP share with bind=127.0.0.2
Thank you, i already know that and is running multiple nodes on same IP/machines and all that.
The question was regarding the feature of using a single wallet, to controll all your remote other nodes, and it seems that part was removed from source, to support that feature.
Anyhow, someone did find the needed code for it to work, and its running great now.

i thinking about to buy some XQNPOSFOUNDS shares too

1000? for same price? 400Sat? 0.04btc?
any one want to sell? ;-)
You might get lucky and someone sell, but i do think they would like higher prices.
@400 sat pr asset you are looking at ROI in less than 45-60 days...
Based on current performance.
I will make another calculation this week after revenues is distributed to show current performance.
Now we also have our Masternode hosting that also will bring extra revenue..

IW
What are you talking about here? 0.1/2500 = 0.00004000 so it is 4k sato per 1 XQNPOSFUND!!!
And I am waiting for somebody to say that want's to sell so maybe I can do a better offer.
I was refering to the mentioned price of 400sat, not your offer.
Apology if it came out wrong.
Thank you,

There is no lighter wallet available?

This looks like a great project, but I don't want to take up 20 gigs for the core wallet...unless there's no alternative, guess I have to delete some...research projects....

haha im confused, had to re-read last 2 pages see if i missed something ;p
you made a mistake friend, the entire appdata/ folder is about 25mb (with blockchain so far)
and the client is about the same i believe
about 50mb total (so far)

hope this helps! Wink

I think the client still has the Bitcoin requirement there (20GB), but's yeah, nothing like that is required.

Thank you guys!  Now I can install and retweet Smiley

Is that the only way to get my hands on some HODL?
Mine or buy Smiley
Selling for anyone interested.
Want XQN as payment for better prices, but can do BTC also.

FYI:

XQN Staking is down.

Could you look into it please
and let me know what you find.

Much thanks!
 Smiley
MM

I report it, but remember: staisybit is using coinscripts and isnt staking like a homewallet. but thanks for your report!

steve
Even if XQN is "down", we are still the TOP performer on site.
Patience, the SB team is doing all they can to ensure XQN will always be staking at optimal rates, no work to be done for users.

We want to thank Staisybit for staying with us also in difficult times when not everything worked as it should, and now everyone can see the stats on site.
Deposited XQN value: 3.5BTC aprox
XQN % of revenues: Almost 40% of ALL revenues created of the 109 btc deposited.

Happy (cloud) staking!

120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] DARKNET [DNET] QRK ALGO - PoW/PoS on: February 15, 2016, 03:18:29 PM
the issue stemmed from the Pool/blockexplorer was banned for some reason (We are researching the specific reason) but essentially had a misbehaving masternode at the same IP as the pool/blockexplorer. So the network banned his IP, so his wallet connected with a few other iP's that were also banned and created their own little temp network where the blocks were all 250 DNET because their little network did not have any masternodes on it to trigger the 20%/80% split that the reward does on the correct network. but those of use who were mining that pool, got orphans because when the pool handed out the 250 DNET blocks only to the miner, then Network enforced the Reward rules and Orphaned those blocks.

Until We figure out why his IP was banned other than a misbehaving Master node, it is important that people follow the rules of 1 public IP per masternode or the network will ban your IP and any wallet that is also attached to that banned IP which is what ended up happening.

So no, the Block Explorer is not up to date at the moment, it should be back online tomorrow sometime. Sorry Guys..

Theoritical question: if I know the IP address of a masternode that is not mine and start my own masternode with his address as my masternodeaddr, does it mean I can ban both him and myself?
I would say no, you would also need the masternode privkey to get it banned i think.
Masternodeadr is where to look for ip, while masternodeprivkey is the actual wallet?
