And as promised, the details of the Nav Coin event: The first 50 Android users to enter the venue will be gifted 500 NAV each (~$25) to spend over the bar as we showcase the Nav Coin Point of Sale offering.
...
Followed by the live streamed announcement of Nav Coin's feature road map for 2017.
I would recommend you to record the streaming for people who are not physically present at the event or live in other timezone. It will also at benefit of 50 lucky winners and other clients present at bar... because since the donation of 25 NZD can only be spent there (in drinks), the next day that event could become for them the most forgotten presentation in the history of cryptocoins. I checked how much is the worth of 25 NZD at current exchange rates in euro, approximately 16.8. On Litebit it seems to me that instead, the 500 NAV can be sold at about 13:8 EUR. There I do not see many explanations on the cash withdrawal process, fee, limits or other requirements for the user identification. Someone knows something more? Hey Remy, I just checked litebit and 500 NAV can be sold for 16.8€ at litebit. So same same but different ;-)

There is a bounty http://navcoin.org/bounty if you can can successfully trace a transaction routed through the NAV anonymous network. To be eligible to receive the bounty, we have to be able to reproduce your findings. If you think you've cracked the code, email your results to navbounty@gmail.com. send NAV with anontech to faucet as an example Can't you trace a transaction by looking at its timestamp if volume of transactions isn't that high ? Show us how you do it.

Can any DEV shortly explain, why NAV is better choice than Monero and Dash, when it comes to anonymous transactions? We all know that anon is good for privacy. Even Edward Snowden recommend encryption and vpn use...
Hi, May I answer with a question? Have you taken a look at each technology and compared? I just asked because we had many discussions about this where I had the feeling people just throw around with keywords like masternodes and ring signatures and don't really know what behind this. Mixing service is proofen to lay a fork on the transaction. But with time and afford you can unmix. This is a good read about Monero http://www.trustnodes.com/is-monero-really-anonymousAnd here you can see the problems they are dealing with: https://lab.getmonero.org/pubs/MRL-0001.pdf Also a good read when you are interested. So far we can proudly say that nobody was able to brake nav anon and gain the bounty! And we had some real good people trying it last year. Regards Shahim

How hard would it be to develop a full node wallet that only needs to be downloaded and installed. That the user does not need to do anything with the config file but the program just automatically updates the file and takes care of everything else?
We had this kind of installer package! Where you load an exe and just click and play... also with blockchain download option. I will talk to soopy so we can update that! We had so much to do that this was put aside last days... Thanx for you input!

Why wants to go to starbucks and pay a coffee to go and wait 30 minutes until the payment is done? I don't follow your logic here mate.
https://coffee.foldapp.com/And to the shops using anonymity. What is the difference between getting anon and normal on the shops side? Nothing. Of course there is a difference. You can hide that you sold something. That's the only reason why anonymous coins are use in the dark markets. And if you can hide that you sold something, then of course you will not pay tax on it. But it does not matter if your wallet receives over anon or not. Your wallet received. so as a show owner you can not hide anything. And btw. I donÄt think any shop in these markets are paying taxes. lol I want to see the face of the financial office, when you tell them you sold 1kg of pot and a few weapons last month ;-) Lol. I am not saying the shop owner sells pot or weapons. I am just saying if criminals sell guns on dark markets using anon coins, investigators can't track them down. They must have a wallet too, right ? So by using the same mechanism I assume a shop owner can hide what he sold. He can use a second nonregistered wallet, I guess. And he doesn't need to sell online. Just like when you pay someone in cash so you can avoid paying 21 % VAT for example, I guess you can do something like that with anon coins too and a cellphone. I don't know. I am not an expert on this. But if criminals can hide it, why can't a shop owner hide it ? When you say that, you can also say that small diners don't registrate the money by putting it into the own pocket and not into the system. There is always a way, yes. but this is not the intention of using coins when buying : ) the intention is to pay not traceable to the authorities , worldwide!

Sorry, but fast transactions are very important for usage! NAV is actually one of the fastest coins. Why wants to go to starbucks and pay a coffee to go and wait 30 minutes until the payment is done? I don't follow your logic here mate.
And to the shops using anonymity. What is the difference between getting anon and normal on the shops side? Nothing. You have to tax your income, wether it came anon or not. It is an advantage for the buyer, that noone can track where and what you buy. Like today when you pay with credit card and are tracked completly. What when where....
Please vote at coinpayments for nav! Let's get into real world usage!
thanx shahim

It is nothing new. With enough effort the mixing technic is traceable. At least it just painting after numbers... When does the worl realise subchain is the way to go!

Best to do is remove sell orders!

I am using ekectrum nav wallet is this the same you have got.
No electrum wallet is a hd wallet. No need to download any chain data. It uses the chain data of the electrum server you setup. But with electrum you do not stake any couns.

Could you post your complete navcoin.conf file here? (make sure to remove username password) Hi guys, soopy is actually working at this problem. When you take the latest nodes from the blockexplorer network section, and start your wallet. usually you get connections after a short while. Just let it run and it will start syncing! And to speed up the process, download this fiole: www.navcoin.org/files/Nav-Blockchain.zip unzip it to the working directory %Appdata%/navcoin2 and start your wallet after that. regards shahim

Because of the last dump on the good news, I think someone try to keep NAV down and is now rebuying them. On bittrex is a 3.9 million buy order on 5k sat and 4k sat, since months (what this manipulator dont like). So dont get panic, the manipulator want that you sell and lost trust in NAV.
NAV team, thanks for the update!
ah he moved from polo to bittrex. it seems to be a trend back to bitttrex last weeks. There seems to be less bots trading in speed where you can't get as a human being.

NAV is better then ZEC no? but there aren't any big whales in NAV... volume is low... when was the last time with a volume over 2000BTC?
Of course NAV is better. NAV is tested. Zcash isn't. Since NAV is the first fully annon cryptocurrency and while other alt coins are touting to be the best, untraceable blah blah blah....it is high time that you release articles showcasing your supremacy over other coins....annonimity could be a life or death situation for people seriously dealing with such coins for annon purposes...NAV please start publishing articles comparing other coins... Thnx mate. There will definitely be more technical articles regarding the next steps to release the whole system open source. What we don't support are open fights or insulting ping pong discussions against other development teams / projects. This is not purposeful for anybody. Of course a direct impartial comparison between the most used anon tech would be interesting to see.

Hey guys, quick question - which version of Raspberry PI is the staking unit being designed for? Or I guess, which RBPI versions will be able to run the full node wallet? Thanks!
Hello, actually I have setup the system on a RPI3 together with a "fast" 60mbit 16GB SD card. We have had first tests and there need to be made some changes. My Testpi is staking actually! regards shahim

Nice job NAV community weathering this shit show sea of red on the markets today.
Yes we are nearly the only coin holding the sat price and even rised with the btc usd price! Who was the ine buying zec at rate of 3299btc? I hope he did not jump from a bridge yet.... You really think a real investor bought at that price ? I think this was just the team itself buying its own coin. I think they try to keep the coin as expensive as possible for as long as possible to make investors buy it at much higher price. I say this is just 1 big manipulation. I don't trust the team already. I prefer the NAV team big time. It also may be like a 0.0001 zec sell.. So perhaps manipulation but i guess some people lost a lot trying to jump on the train and earn thousands of btc... There is a lot of people that do not investigate in there own investment!
