I've been away from my poloniex account for a while, but today I noticed that it says I must provide names and national locations in order to make deposits and withdrawals, why is this, and how do I opt out of that?
They made the changes a few weeks ago to comply with regulations as they are in the US. They did so with very little advance notice which pissed off many people. There are 3 levels of verification and the more info you give them the higher your daily withdrawal limits are. You described level 1, the lowest level, providing your name and country. There is no way of opting out AFAIK. So that means funds would be held hostage unless you divulge info you don't want to release? The opt out option should be if you don't want to comply you withdraw your funds and close the account. |

Locked out of NXT forum and validation email not received ... what do I do ?

If a forum is configured to require email activation before login, an email will be sent to the email address provided at registration. The username and activation link are displayed in this e-mail. Selecting the activation link activates the member's account and prompts them to login. If a problem occurs with the activation link, the email also provides an activation code that can be used to complete the process. Note that a link to reset the password may be included in this e-mail, depending on the activation method enabled on the forum.
If a member attempts to login before completing the activation process, an error will be displayed noting that their email address must be validated. A Need another activation email? link is also displayed in case the email has somehow been lost. Thanks for that, on that recommendation I went to check my spam folder as well as my trash folder but no message were there regarding NXT. Oh, and this is the second time that I requested the activation email, the first time was a couple days ago. |

Our website is being redesigned and updated. I don't know of a 'whitepaper' but if we find one it will be included as part of EMC2's history. I remember reading some whitepaperesq info in the github file. As for a 'promo pack' we sponsor various EMC2 faucets in different locations, beyond that the promos have been targeted, the latest promo was aimed at Experiment.com, we helped fund numerous science research crowdfunding campaigns to the extent of $1 each. If you have something in mind, please let us know we will consider it. The website will be comprehensive and interactive so it will likely address most issues about EMC2, however this thread will get you multiple more personable opinions faster than the site. Einsteinium will be hitching our horses heavily onto PICISI when it is launched because we actually proved the concept when we did our last crowdfunding campaign. About PICISI The Einsteinium Foundation awarded a grant to a scientist, the Einsteinium community conducted a crowdfunding campaign to benefit that project: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/science-study-memory-loss-dueto-sleep-deprivationI. There you will see how many CC communities came together to help reach the campaign's goal. From that inter and intra-coin community experience the idea of PICISI (pronounced 'pick-easy') was birthed. In the 30+ page plan it indicates how campaign organizers could raise funds in fiat and CC at the crowdfunding site. CC sponsors are an integral part of PICISI. The plan requires achievement of 7 goals in vital areas before the site and coin are launched: 1) Admins, 2) Campaigns, 3) Sponsors, 4) Promotion Contractors, 5) Campaign Contractors, 6) Referral Agents, and 7) Articles. As goal progress is made it is immediately reported. The first 5 articles written told readers about: PICISI, PICISI Administration, PICISI Sponsors, PICISI Assignments, and PICISI Issued Currency. The project determined that a minimum of 6 (Executive Director, Deputy Director, Assistant Director, Promotions Director, Content Director, and Communications Director,) admins are essential in order to launch the site, currently they have 2 — the Executive Director and the Assistant Director. As such — PICISI needs a few good admins to manage the site.

There are only two prerequisites delaying the launch: ‘Admins’ & ‘Campaigns’. ... " We need people who want to help manage the site. PICISI has many moving parts as implied by some of the admin positions, for example: the Communications Direction will be the face and voice of PICISI w/he will be responsible for making sure that PICISI is constantly in the news and mentioned somewhere in multiple languages around the world at all times. S/he will be doing radio, TV, and online interviews. S/he will also be supplying a steady stream of press releases, and articles to worldwide media. Most of those articles will be produced by Promotion Contractors who are self-employed people located all over the world who do assignments for PICISI and are paid with Pi (the PICISI issued currency). One of the very many assignments that could be done is an article on a specific PICISI campaign, once the article is completed the Compliance Director reviews it for quality, if satisfactory we pay the contractor immediately. We must make sure that the Pi we paid out are always in demand and easily transferable, so we want to have our currency available at exchanges, outside of exchanges (ie: shapeshift), and connected to resources that will enable debit card access. These are assignments for the Exec and Deputy Directors. The Promotion Contractors from all over the world must have a degree of training to know our standards, the Promotions Director is responsible for that. The Content Director has to make sure that the site is constantly filled with high quality content including campaigns so s/he must work find ways to attract campaign organizers to the site and set up protocols to makes sure we have high quality content. S/he must also work closely with tech to make sure that the site is user friendly. Keep in mind that mistakes, negativity, and challenges will come our way so we must considers these inevitabilities and try to prepare for them. This is work that isn't seen when things are going good. The Finance Director has to figure out how to pay for operational licenses around the world without damaging Pi's short term value.
