@Jan Well done for getting onto Bittrex and it is nice to see you have carried your project forward since what happened with energy coin at the beginning. Our strategy, technology and number of coins have meant that we have had to do things differently - being trolled out of our attempts to raise some financial support on this forum at the beginning - and being reluctant to raise venture capital until the coins were properly distributed, have meant that progress has been slow and steady. The good thing about that is every decision has been thoroughly considered and properly executed.

It would be great to look at ways to work together as I said when you direct messaged me but, as far as anything official, our blockchains will be distinct and separate. There are 16 Billion Carboncoin.

I/we will continue to provide an environmentally friendly alternative to Bitcoin in the Carboncoin, virtually eliminating electricity wastage and funding the planting of as many trees as we can/have to, while providing the same functionality.

If you want to exchange your coins for our coins you can do so through Bitcoin. If you want to transfer coins into a wallet with no private key to burn them you can also do that - everyone is free to do what they want - I haven't had any capital controls over this from the beginning and people are free to do as they wish with their money.

Hi Pineapples, thank you for your interest.

Carboncoin is pure PoW with added security features and a very short halflife enabling it to run at a very low hashrate/energy usage ongoing while allowing the same features and functionality of Bitcoin.

PoS was debated at length at the start of the project and we concluded that our solution would be more effective over the long term in achieving our goals.

At this stage we ask people to lend some small hashrate to keeping the network going if they are able but other than that it is recommended that people buy coins - as it is much more efficient to do so than to mine.

The original photographed forest is still there, the offset is still devoted to us and more trees which we will fund will still be planted on the land. I never said I ditched it. It requires a lengthy round trip to go and take more photographs and then you'd simply deny that they were real. On further evidence you'd continue to deny that they were real, and if it was unequivocally proved to you that they existed you would still do nothing to support this project, which is for the benefit of everyone, tragically including yourself - but then you wouldn't even acknowledge that because you're a climate change denier.

I have spent over a year of my life so far on this because I believe it could work, and be good not just for everyone involved, but for everyone else as well - and you've been trying and failing to screw it up that whole time. Awesome! I bet lots of people are proud of you!

I made a direct attempt at communcation with you to clear up any issues you have - you haven't bothered to respond. The distribution of the coin is occuring as uniformly as is pragmatically possible. I have no interest is addressing inflammatory accusations, it's a waste of my time. Actions speak louder than words, so if you don't believe in this you will get to watch it happen anyway.

You'll notice that I've removed the forest from the media. This was done after having a conversation with an earth scientist who convinced me to focus on new saplings rather than those that had been put down anyway whether the carbon sequestered by them had been committed to what we are doing or not.

That is the focus of the Carboncoin Trust which controls the environmental wallet which can be seen on the Carboncoin blockchain as still having all of the coins in it donated over the past year. Proceeds from the coins in this wallet will be subject to complete transparency as I have maintained from the beginning.

It can be more energy efficient without being PoS - there is nothing wrong with the creation of Satoshi Nakamoto - it is an extrordinary piece of software.  It can be tweaked to virtually eliminate electricity wasteage as will be seen

It's being mined anyone can still mine it, in talks with miningpool op about keeping the carbon pool open but these have not been fruitful yet. It can also be solo mined as with any PoW coin.

I'm not mining it currently. Still more cost effective to buy at these levels.
