Yifu's speaking at bitcoin 2013 in a week. We could lay out the welcome mat for him...
102  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon batch [2] countdown! on: May 07, 2013, 03:10:41 PM
any news on those 20 units tracking? are they chinese or non-chinese orders?

they are in the same place same as the first 53 from batch 1.
103  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon batch [2] countdown! on: May 06, 2013, 10:21:39 PM
Can you really blame him?
http://bitcoin.sipa.be/speed-lin-ever.png

I still don't think that avalon batch 2/3 will have a negative roi, and i'm most worried about the production capacity of avalon itself, not of bfl.

they have plenty of capacity. They are in china. They just don't have the motivation to do it since they have the machines and your money/btc already.

They have 2 batches of avalons plus all the chip orders.

they can do whatever they want.

105  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: May 03, 2013, 08:03:26 PM
The fact that Mt.Gox keeps lagging up to 50 seconds just by a single person doing fake mini trades is sort of hilarious in a very very sad way. Big investors must question themselves why they trust that website with anything...I can actually understand the dropping prices with all the shitty news these past 4 days. Sad

which is why seeing coinlab sue such a trainwreck of an exchange is so laughable.
106  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Official Gox / CoinLab Integration and Transition FAQ on: May 03, 2013, 07:55:11 PM
I just don't know why coinlab is bothering with mtgox. If they COULD make a decent exchange, they could bury gox easily. Just put the damn thing up and go. Mtgox is such a boatload of fail people would dump them in a heartbeat if something better and reliable were available.

they don't need customer account and passwords. That's BS no one should be handing that over anyways.
107  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL Downgraded my shipping?! on: May 03, 2013, 07:50:09 PM
When people were imported into the new system, everyone was put in express shipping.  Express shipping wasn't available prior to February, so everyone has been moved back to where they should have been.  No ones shipping was downgraded.

are you feeling ok? I mean this post was helpful.

you should go get checked out.

maybe bfl needs more free pot fridays or free beer fridays or something? I dunno
108  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL Downgraded my shipping?! on: May 02, 2013, 06:31:06 PM
Who needs facts when you have the FTC
109  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: May 02, 2013, 06:21:51 PM
1 minute lag, and almost no trades Roll Eyes

thats mtlag for you.

why use a pen and paper when you have a start of the art price matching engine that works by counting apples and oranges pushed around by hamsters, that apparently are unionized.
110  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: May 02, 2013, 05:50:38 PM
Ok guys, I have $25k. So somebody's got to be willing to SELL me some bitcoins @100, right?  Roll Eyes

If not, this only proves to me about the tape-painting capabilities of the PTB, and underlines the importance of developing the things in the conference: dealer network, supernode and real bills.

You know my number. I'll go to have some snails and chardonnay.

Btw, this is the last day when we see $95 EVER, you can quote me on that.  Cool

I'll sell you $25K @105/BTC
111  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon users: bitcoind + eloipool configuration on: May 02, 2013, 03:13:14 PM
the only way you would get that if if you compiled on 2 different systems. Or you are using prebuilt binaries.
112  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New Email Update from Avalon Just In on: May 02, 2013, 02:19:39 PM

Still watching. I got a bid via PM. I should have asked that all bids be posted here.
114  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Fast-Hash-400's 400 GH/s each on: May 02, 2013, 02:09:45 PM
I paid slightly less than 30K for my [upgrade] order of two BFL SC miniRigs, with an aggregate hash rate of 3 TH/s - so why would I want to pay 30K for a measly 400 GH/s?

An absurd proposition.

So is the minirig, at jally power draws, a minirig needs 9KW of power each. It's a portable fire starter and neighborhood light dimmer, and the power bill will each up a vast amount of profit.

the average household only can pull 3kw tops if you run everything you have all at once.
115  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: May 01, 2013, 07:41:14 PM
The lag at Mt.Gox is unacceptable, although i think it saves us from a total fire sale.

I just dont see how they can lag. The volume of orders could be done faster if it were written by hand in a ledger by a single person who then copied it all online to a spreadsheet. Even then it wouldn't be lag.

8 btcs.
I can't understand why you don't sell them in parts at vircurex.

I considered it, but I thought someone might want to own the virgin wallet. 0 transactions other than the mined ixcoins.
118  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon batch [2] countdown! on: April 30, 2013, 08:46:40 PM
he's in china and has > 20 trade-in icarus boards.

Avalon is too busy mining the avalons right now to ship them. but of course since they are all built and working when they have made ROI for miners low enough they will be able to ship them super quick like they said.

I just don't see why someone (let alone Avalon, who already have millions of our $$$) would do that. Plus we can see the network hashrate from our end, anyone noticed 600 Avalons come online?  Roll Eyes

Greed, the same reason why the fools who bought batch3 at 100BTC are boned.

Do you really think they took a break with so much money on the line? Do you really think they are just storing them in a warehouse doing nothing until they ship? If it were me, I'd be mining too. I just would say so and not keep making up BS excuses to the "dumb client base fighting for table scraps".

here it is https://blockchain.info/charts/hash-rate

The real question then will be when batch 2 and 3 "ship" will we see the hash rate jump, or drop for a bit?

Will they try to slow it, so it's not noticeable?

They have a monopoly, they can pretty much do whatever the hell they want. Including not shipping at all and walking with all the BTC and the hardware and orders.

bad news: at least two more weeks(or one more diff adjustment if you prefer), you heard it here first. Sad
