Edit: just checked rame usage in task manager, Bitcoin Core using only 500 MB. while Google Chrome using a whooping 2 GB ram. lol
Chrome is an awful browser for many reasons, and resource usage is one of them.

In Bitcoin Core, go to Settings -> Options and check the size of the database cache you have set. Increase this if you want Core to use more RAM (you'll need to restart Core after you change this setting).
Just changed my cache to 2 GB lets see if the progress will improve. sorry I missed your post before.

102  Economy / Gambling / Re: No KYC Crypto Casinos & Sites | NoToKYC.com | Exclusive Bonuses on: January 13, 2024, 06:23:31 PM
Nice Website Op. but why the Exchange list is too short. there are only 3 exchange listed. i see you listed 2 Swap exchanges also. I checked the swaps you added. looks like they are Centralized Swaps.
then shouldn't you add all the DEX Swap platforms? none of them require kyc as far as I know.  they are also more safer compared to these Centralized manuall exchanges.
or you just add those sites which exclusivly do partnership with you?
103  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cryptocurrency Scams: How to Stay Safe on: January 12, 2024, 07:15:51 PM
Hey Bitcointalk buddies!  Let's talk survival in the crypto jungle.  Scams are like mosquitoes at a summer BBQ - annoying as heck! Here's your anti-scam hack: Double-check everything! 🕵️‍♂️ Suspicious emails? Swipe left. Shady websites? Close that tab faster than you close the fridge when you're on a diet. 🏃‍♂️ Keep your private keys private, \And if someone promises you a Lambo for sending them crypto, they're probably just window-shopping for dreams. 🚗💨 Share your survival tips below - let's build a fortress of crypto wisdom!
Here are some tips I've learned in my crypto life
1: Keep your funds in self custody wallet, Even better if use a hardware wallet.
2: minimize your use of Centrlized platforms. specially those that ask for KYC. if necessary then stick to one.
3: Don't reply to any DMs sent by anyone pretending to be someone you know/trust (never click any links he send. never send him any money)
4: Always use escrow if trading directly with someone. never pay anyone in advance.

BTW I am limited by internet. RAM (8gb) should not be an issue because Bitcoin core is the only thing that is running on my device. Nothing else on the foreground or background as you can see on the screenshot (only 50% ram occupied).

Just checked your graph. It seems progress decreased as you got closer to sync. Another user said the same thing.
Keep an eye on the size of your chainstate directory. Once that grows, your RAM won't be sufficient anymore.
My Chainstate folder exceeded 800 MB.  but I have 16 GB Rams. so I guess I should be all set. right?
Edit: just checked rame usage in task manager, Bitcoin Core using only 500 MB. while Google Chrome using a whooping 2 GB ram. lol

Sorry to bother the community, but it is a hard time for me now. I am really appreciated to your suggestions, help, instructions of How to earn from Bitcoin, including a job related to Bitcoin, mine, trading, or anything else.
you sound like you are broke so there is no point in suggesting you to start earning by trading and other investments. Other than that Earning bitcoin is pretty much the same as earning money in all online forms. for example, you can freelance, and offer your services.. Search for jobs in crypto that pay in Bitcoin (you need to have some skills for that). and join Bounty programs and other contests etc (almost all bounty programs pay in altcoins/tokens, but you can convert them into bitcoin)

You can offer Services here:  Services In this board you can also join Bitcoin Paying Campaigns and Rewards Programs (if you met their requirements of course)
You can join Bounties here: Bounties

here are some job sites you can search for crypto jobs:

https://rethinkable.xyz/
https://cryptocurrencyjobs.co/
https://crypto.jobs/
https://cryptojobslist.com/

As Well As:
Reddit Community for Bitcoin Jobs:  Jobs4Bitcoin
A Discord Community for Crypto-Related Jobs: MetaIntro

Now if you are dedicated and willing to spend some time and effort to find the right opportunity for yourself. then these should be everything you need to start.
113  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Has Changed My Life 👨‍💻 on: October 03, 2023, 07:13:28 AM
Two days ago today I had $100 I traded $100 in bitcoin and made $10 profit now I traded $110 in bitcoin now I have $180 I mean I made $70 in two days Best earnings of my life And I want to make bigger profits trading bitcoin in the future and I want to light my future by trading bitcoin and I will trade and I will not train too much by greed I will not be addicted to training I will always watch the market and invest on bitcoin will try it looks great to me i started with $100 now i have bitcoins $180 i earned $80  between the two it is never possible by any job and it is not possible by any government government what is possible with bitcoin i am bitcoin Much respect and salute.

I have seen here many people comparing gambling game with bitcoin gambling game is a test of luck a game should never be compared to it and if you have experience on gambling then you can play gambling but you can't get addicted and get addicted to anything. It is neither good nor harmful for a person.

$70 in two days just trading $100 is pretty impressive. Congratulations on the first profit you earned from Bitcoin. it was very lucky indeed because it is very rare to earn that much money with trading just $100. which exchange were you using? and what were your strategies? would be great if you could share some insights of your trading with us.
I am also saving to start trading so I could make some extra bucks daily. but I thought I would need more than $100 to begin with.

Utopia P2P Ecosystem Review

Installation and Sign-Up:
With Around 250MB File Size. Utopia P2P client was pretty to Download. Installation was also easy and done in few steps smoothly.
Then I signed up witch was done by just with Nickname and Password (other feilds were optional) The sign up is one of my most favorite feature in Utopia because of the obvious reason. (I always liked the Idea of not collecting people's personal Data)

How I spent the 5 CRP Coin
1: Tried Swapping Between CRP To USSD and vice versa. Transactions went smoothly with low transaction fee (0.00019 max)
2: Then I used the CRP to Create a New Crypto Card. 3 CRP Card Fee and Topped It Up with the Remaining 1.3+ CRP.

Things/Features I Could Not Try (Yet):
  • uMail: couldn't try that yet because I don't have anyone's public key yet. ( I did request a couple of users for that but didn't got any) will try that at some point.
  • Games: For the same Reason above, I really wanted to give Chess a Try but don't have any Contacts yet. (But definitely gonna play that sometime)
  • Mining: this is one of the key features of Utopia I could not try due to lack of Balance to Start Mining.
  • Crypton Card: I would really like to give it a try in some actual place (buying things and stuffs) but not possible now. so I'll keep that for future as well

Features I really Liked Or I think have Great Potential:
1: Signing Up (As I stated Above Signing up was one of the best part for not requiring too much details and being so easy to complete)
2: Channels and Chats: These kept me Engaged most of the time. and they are very fun to use. there is not a lot of people (yet) but I think in future they could be a great alternative of any big messeging application.
3: Request Cryptons: I've seen this feature in Payment processing apps such as Payoneer and that is very important there. I believe it could be very useful between Service Providers/Merchants and Clients in future.

Any New Feature or Any Changes I want to See?
One thing I would really like to see is the Utopia Browser App. I am pretty much ok with the Software version (it didn't bother me yet) but I prefer Web Applications More Instead of Downloading Software in My system.
Another Good thing to add would be that if we could Play the Games with Random users. an Automatic match-making system or play with a Computer. (that would be super lit)

My Last Words About Utopia P2P Ecosystem:
Overall It is a Great Application, with it's multiple features it could be a great resource alternative for so many things. I am gonna hang in there for some more time and use it more (try games etc) it is fun to use and chat with users and I also want to see if I can  get some more CRP tokens from Airdrop or Not.

118  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I think we need to start asking people if...... on: August 26, 2023, 05:16:50 AM
The water system in my house got some blocking issues and I needed to call a plumber, the plumber guy I was used to was not available, I called and he said he is far away, so I looked for someone else.

After he went through the problem and fixed the pipes for me, out of joke I gave him payment options that are available, if he will like any.

I asked him if he will want cash, bank transfer or Bitcoin, to my surprise he answered Bitcoin, I don't take this very seriously because, you know, most people don't care about Bitcoin here, but he brought out his smartphone and told me to scan the QR CODE.

I asked if he really his serious and he said yes, I had to pay him in Bitcoin and he said something that caught my attention.

He said people don't ask that's why he believed no one is using Bitcoin as payment.

He also said collecting cash will make him spend the money faster but he chose Bitcoin because he planned to start buying the following week.

While I was trying to question him about how he know about Bitcoin he revealed that he is a student, and that being a plumber is his side hustle, this answered my curiosity about how he knew about Bitcoin.

Have you guys been promoting Bitcoin by asking workers if they will receive Bitcoin as payment? How was it? This is actually the first time I will do such, all my mind was focused on, if I didn't see Bitcoin Payment Receive here I wouldn't bother.

Thats a great idea. I have never done that in IRL to be honest I never thought there could be anyone IRL who could accept Bitcoins. because bitcoin is not really is being used here just like you said you that. but I had asked anyone who I worked with online for bitcoin payments. some accepted bitcoins and most of them refused.
I think we should do that more often and ask IRL vendors and workers if they accept bitcoin. maybe that's how we can find bitcoin users in our area/city.

119  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What should we see bitcoin as? on: August 23, 2023, 04:57:49 AM
Bitcoin the only decentralised cryptocurrency that is dependable and guaranteed return on investment which is undeniably the truth about it.

Bitcoin as a source of income or as an investment plan, which is better?
(It has many advantages and disadvantages, but advantages superceeds the disadvantages). Putting the disadvantages into consideration and as a person that want to lower their risk of loss, will bitcoin be suitable as a source of income (not fully, like part-time job), or investing fully in them and wait for a large profit since many users here in the forum foresee it that, at halving the price always go up above the current All time high.
I personally prefer bitcoin as a source of income and payment solution. but I think generally bitcoin have more use as an investment for obvious reasons. finding a income with bitcoin can be tuff. but if you have good skills and know how bitcoin works you  can make pretty good income. for example you can find jobs with bitcoin payments of you can start something by your own like a blog then use bitcoin related ads platforms to earn bitcoin by showing ads on your blogs. (this is my favorite method among all)
120  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: MEXC, insanely low trading fees. How are these guys making money? on: August 22, 2023, 09:33:06 AM
I have used MEXC sometimes because they seem to be so quick on listing derivatives of shitcoins which are so sweet to short at times after the pump, but to be honest I even fear depositing money on that exchange. I just deposit what I can afford to lose.

Now, the exchange has insanely low trading fees compared to other players on the market, which makes me wonder how they manage to stay afloat

Spot
Maker: 0.000%   Taker: 0.000%

Futures
Maker: 0.000%   Taker: 0.010%

This is way below even what the likes of bitmex and Bybit used to offer back in the day before they also changed their fee structures, probably due to little  profits

For example, Bitmex used to offer in futures trading; Maker: -0.025% (they would actually pay you -0.025%) and Taker 0.075%. Despite the maker rebate, the taker fee was so high, so it would cover for the maker rebates. Same with bybit, but they ended up scrapping off the rebates.

I don't know why, but I smell something fishy. Could the exchange also be chipping in to trade against their traders in order to make money? After all, they have all the data of the long and short positions especially with the shitcoin futures that are not listed anywhere else... right?
I don't think they would keep these trading fees for so long. they are probably doing that to attract more uses and growing their traders base. they'll eventually apply proper trading fee just like other friends mentioned above. also these exchanges charge good amount of money from projects for listing their token/coins in their platform. and they make some money for doing IDOs and Airdrops (commission wise) so they have many options if you ask.
