361  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Is it really possible to raise a venture capital? on: July 26, 2018, 10:51:19 AM
You're not going to raise venture capital without a very strong product, at least an MVP, and preferably a demonstrable revenue stream. Also, they won't come to you, you'll have to have a presence at conferences and events. Odds are low, but it can be done. Only the strongest projects are being venture funded in 2018.
362  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bull Market has come? on: July 26, 2018, 10:47:07 AM
I would say a 40% increase from a couple of weeks ago, until now is a very respectable increase. However, I wouldn't expect it to go much further than this as 40% in a couple of weeks is already incredible. Sure, we might not be anywhere close to the all-time high, but if you look at the graphs, at this time last year, Bitcoin was worth around $2,400. Now it is worth around 3.5x more. That means if we see the same growth as we saw between July 2017-Dec 2017, we can potentially see Bitcoin being worth around $64,000 each.
363  Other / Meta / Re: Copper Accounts on: July 26, 2018, 10:39:20 AM
Can we please have a rank after Legendary or some membership available only to Legendary Members for purchase. Its fucking boring, as there is no real perk. And keep the membership ranks at a lower price, people don't want to get broke. 10$ will make do.  Grin

I agree, I'd love to see something beyond Legendary. Though I don't it should be purchasable as that would undermine the entire merit system, as you could simply buy your way to the top. That being said, there should be something beyond Legendary, or something to recognise exemplary users. As right now there are some legendary members who are anything but respectable, or knowledge.
364  Other / Meta / Re: Default Ranking-Up System as a Compliment to the current Merit System on: July 26, 2018, 10:23:05 AM
If a person cannot obtain 1,000 merit within around 11 years, why do you think they should be upgraded to a Legendary member?

I personally think this is a terrible idea. I understand that the duration of time is extremely long, but it serves absolutely no benefit whatsoever, I'm not even sure why you could possibly think this was a good idea.

Name 3 benefits of your system over the current one? You're going to struggle to name even 1 really, other than giving the shitposters a chance to rank up after a decade.
365  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much bankroll do I need to start a dice site? on: July 25, 2018, 09:33:58 PM
The amount of bank roll you start with is less relevant than you might think. What is more relevant is the maximum bet size and win amount. This can be scaled up or down depending on your bank roll. However, in order to look professional so as not to appear to be a scam, I'd say a respectable amount would be 10 BTC. Of course this could be lower, but would you really trust a dice site with $500 bank roll?
366  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can anyone teach me? on: July 25, 2018, 09:31:56 PM
is there anyone here who can teach me to play poker with BTC and ETH bets?  Huh
Actually Poker game is easy, just combine the numbers on the table and the card in the player's hand to determine who will be the winner. Only here you have to know which combination of cards is the highest order, after that you can decide whether you will bet or not, prepare some btc you, you are targeting what percentage to invest because of the excess poker bitcoin you can while investing.

He's clearly not asking how to play the game, he's asking how to play poker using cryptocurrency. I wonder how you did not realise this when it is completely obvious.

In any case @OP, there simply aren't many good sites for cryptocurrency poker playing against liver players.
367  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: ✴Limit of IPFS? on: July 25, 2018, 09:29:16 PM
On IPFS files will be gradually lost from the network as fewer and fewer nodes store the content of those files. Most protocols have an incentivization system in place to ensure that old files are retained, usually by giving these master nodes a greater cut from the block reward for ensuring they don't delete their files. But it's definitely something that needs to be resolved before IPFS can take off.
368  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is TRF DAG? on: July 25, 2018, 09:27:29 PM
Glad that DAG is getting the recognition it deserves. A lot more projects are sprinting up using DAG in their core protocol, in fact, many even use it as one of their selling points. Just goes to show how quick innovation spreads in the crypto world.
369  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Awareness is the biggest influence. on: July 25, 2018, 09:25:16 PM
Day by day  number of people who are using bitcoin is increasing despite of so many negatives news about it.   Theres a lot of way how to spread awareness to the public about btc but how can it happened if someone is still not open minded about the growing population of cryptocurrency.
Knowledge and information about btc is needed to become successful and earn more profit.

At this point it's getting closer to the saturation point. We can even see here on this forum how flooded it is with people from all over the world. Doesn't seem like many people have much knowledge or ideas further than how it's another get rich quick scheme or something like that. It's not really a good situation.

There's a difference between being aware of the properties of something, and being aware of the mere existence of that thing. Right now, a good proportion of the world (probably at least 10% have heard about cryptocurrency. However, only a tiny fraction of those actually understand its utility and benefits. The latter is something that needs to change.
370  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are online gambling games fixed? on: July 25, 2018, 07:27:00 PM
The truth is..... Some of them are fixed. These are typically the newer sites that are looking to do either an exit scam, or slowly rig the games for as long as they can get away with (before then exit scamming). The older, more reputable casinos typically use the provably fair system to prove that the game is fair. If an online casino has been around for more than 2 years, you can be pretty sure it's not a scam.
371  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do bounty hunters become ICO investors? on: July 25, 2018, 07:18:08 PM
For the most part, bounty hunters and project investors are mutually exclusive. However, if the project is genuinely outstanding, then you may get a decent conversion rate simply from your bounty hunters. Though I would expect far less than 1% of bounty hunters are likely to invest in the project. They're there too earn tokens for free, not pay for them.
372  Economy / Speculation / Re: Again BTC going down? on: July 25, 2018, 07:15:31 PM
Yesterday we saw BTC was pumping. But again it is going down. Any news behind that? I thought it will break 10000$ around coming days. The BTC is the legend and can't think BTC will replace by other coins. What would be hope you guys the BTC price at the end of this year?

Why on Earth would BTC break $10,000 within a few days? That would be a more than 50% improvement in price compared to just 3 weeks ago when the price was hovering around $6,000. We should be happy that we managed to break $8,000 considering the market conditions we just climbed out of. It's likely we'll stabilise between 7-9,000 over the next few weeks until something pushes us over the boundaries.
373  Economy / Speculation / Re: Suprise rise in BTC. on: July 24, 2018, 10:59:17 PM
I don't think you woke up and saw it rise from $6k to $8k unless you were asleep for almost a week. The market trend is looking very similar to how it did in Mid 2017. Hopefully we can keep this bull run going strong, but the RSI is massively extended right now, so it's unlikely.
374  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why I am betting on the Mega Millions Lottery – Jackpot over 500$ Million ! on: July 24, 2018, 10:53:41 PM
I don't bother playing national lotteries, simply because they have one of the worst RTP rates around. I hear that you can actually negotiate bulk rates on lottery tickets if you join a lottery pool though, so I guess than increases your RTP slightly even if you don't get the full reward.
375  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin consumption energy is far from being a real problem on: July 24, 2018, 09:40:23 PM
It's definitely as much of a concern as they paint it out to be in the media. If you pay for your electricity, you should be free to use your KwH on the services you choose, whether that be Bitcoin mining or otherwise. So long as there is a global push towards renewable energy sources we'll eventually reach a time where energy consumption is not a concern. Regardless of the scale.
376  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Manny wins over Matthysse!! on: July 24, 2018, 09:36:47 PM

The fighting Senator and the Legend of Boxing Manny Pacquiao still have the guts to win a TKO, after 9 years he has still power punch. He now a World Champion again, I think he needs one big fight and win again by TKO and then he must retire after that. Ending a career depending his belt would be a better one.

He's not exactly old... I mean, yes, 39 is relatively old in the sport of boxing, but overall he's not even middle-aged yet. He's still got a few years left in him technically, perhaps even 5-6 years if he's careful. Look at Shannon Briggs, Klitschko etc, these are heavyweights that kept going into their 40s, it should be a lot easier for a welterweight.
377  Economy / Gambling / Re: Project Bravio on: July 19, 2018, 06:47:12 PM
Actually looks like a very decent concept for once. Glad to see a project that's not just grabbing as much money as possible, and is actually giving something back to its players. Hopefully you'll grow and get the support that projects like this deserve. How will you be marketing this by the way?
378  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing News: Crawford beats Loma for ESPY fighter of the year (2018) on: July 19, 2018, 06:38:01 PM
Crawford has had a great year true, but I think Lomachenko deserves the recognition for going up weight classes to fight, and then beat Linares with a liver shot. I mean, how many people really get KO'd by a liver shot? That just shows he's got precision and power too, not just "hi-tech" foot work.
379  Economy / Speculation / Re: The rise of bitcoin continues on: July 19, 2018, 06:12:17 PM
Well there was an SEC meeting yesterday, and of course the old, ignorant men spoke about all of Bitcoin's weaknesses, and none of its strengths. The fact that Bitcoin stayed stable throughout this important talk just shows that it still has plenty of strength left behind it. It's unlikely we'll see the all time high this year, but Bitcoin should at least remain stable.
380  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC price is back to surprise us on: July 19, 2018, 05:50:45 PM
Why do people always act surprised when Bitcoin gains 10% in a couple of days? Do you not realise it has dropped almost 70% since its all time high? -/+ 10% in the world of crypto isn't too much of any indicator these days, particularly we're so far from the top.
