101  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Israel committing Genocide on: April 07, 2024, 12:37:55 PM
What’s really devastating is that the whole world is watching and buying their lies.

It’s sad that I personally can’t do anything about what is going on. I can not imagine what kind of situation they are in right now. All I can do is pray for their safety and for God to touch the hearts of Israeli.

This dispute has been going on for years and they finally took advantage of the Hamas group to push the narrative that they are being bombarded and thus needs to fight back. But in reality Palestine civilians are the one being most affected and being driven away from their homeland.
102  Economy / Economics / Re: eNaira launched in Nigeria as a digital currency on: April 06, 2024, 03:40:26 PM
So basically fiat money but digital?

A lot of concerns might be brought up because if the government is technically still controlling the said coin then is it still really an altcoin? Coins are mostly decentralized and that core feature I believe must be upheld even by developers.
103  Other / Off-topic / Re: In school they taught us everything except how to make money why on: April 06, 2024, 03:15:18 PM
School is based off of theoretical principles and science. Everything is hypothetical and still needs to be tested in the real world and let me tell you right now. What you have learned from school is completely different from how you would experience world beyond that. I think schools never prepare their students for that. One reason I can think of is a lot of students now focus on having good grades and universities focus on having credibility.

They don’t care if you actually learned something, they just want you to do excellent no matter how you do it.
104  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Population on: April 05, 2024, 11:09:18 PM
China has been trying to regulate their population for as long as I know.

The infamous one child policy has been implemented by China back then in order to maintain a specific amount of people living in the country. Too much population is definitely not a good thing and can hinder economic growth.
105  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $100,000 and $1,000,000 Bitcoin on: April 05, 2024, 10:54:04 PM
100k USD is almost tangible.

It is almost within our reach. We might see it happen this year, in fact. I even expect it to go beyond 100k USD just for a few thousand dollars. Before bitcoin reach 1M of course it would have to go at 500k usd first which I think would still take quite a long time. So no need to get your hopes up too much by thinking about 1M when it has not even reached 100k yet.
106  Economy / Economics / Re: Farming and it importance to the economy on: April 05, 2024, 10:36:46 PM

Government should do everything to make sure that people go back to the farm and create the right environment for farming activities
In my country, there is a negative stereotype about farming. People look at farming as a poor man’s trade because most of the farmers live in the rural areas where there isn’t a lot of social amenities available. And in the cities, there aren’t lots of land available for farming. The cost of leasing a land is expensive, I think that’s the major problem why people aren’t motivated to go into farming. Even those with degrees in agriculture are venturing into other businesses.

My country also views farmers as poor however I know some of the richest people who became rich due to agriculture. Like you said owning a piece of land is expensive and if you could buy acres of land you can turn that into whatever you would like.

You can farm there different kinds of fruits and vegetables. Now you just don’t have a business but you also have basically a supermarket near your house. If I had the capital, I would buy land and farm in there.
107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to invest 1k in altcoins on: April 05, 2024, 10:11:02 PM
Personally, I would have invested 50% of that 1k to bitcoin and then I’ll distribute the rest to altcoins.

It honestly depends on which altcoins you want to invest in. I wouldn’t advise investing 10% each. That’s too much altcoins. You can do 25% and 25% or 35% and 15%. You can also split it in three ways if you would like. 20%, 15% and 15%.

You decide depending on how well you think a specific altcoin would perform. Diversification is okay but too much can make you lose focus. I find that just focusing on a few coins at a time works well.
108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A few crypto questions. on: April 05, 2024, 03:18:56 PM
Think about cryptocurrencies as an asset.

Basically a good or a product you can either buy or sell on a marketplace. Now imagine the most valuable asset you have. Most likely if it is pricey, there’s only one reason for that: less supply and more demand.

If it is rare and say there is only 1 product everywhere yet almost half of the people in the world wants the product for themselves don’t you think they’ll want to take it out of your hands? Yes, many would be willing to pay just to own that product.

Now it is up to you whether you want to sell it now wherein lots are wanting and offering money or you can wait until its value goes up.
109  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did Anyone here saw the Coingecko Narrative Tweet for Q1 of 2024? on: April 05, 2024, 02:55:00 PM
mk4, dzungmobile, Zaguru12

I am pissed because the narrative was always Bitcoin and these altcoins are only capitalizing on the power of Bitcoin. We all have been lenient towards these mischievous mainstream media outlets and these two (CoinMarketCap (CMC) & CoinGecko) popular platforms that track cryptocurrency prices live. They have been always against Bitcoin and they have always kept their agenda of hiding the facts and degrading Bitcoin. A line if it was added to the tweet would have made the reason clear why these narratives are showing so many positive outcomes to their investors.

If they had written," Bitcoin bull run caused, Top 8 crypto narratives in 2024 by ROI" then it would have been the right thing. Whereas they neglected it feeling that everyone on X.com is aware of why the cryptocurrency market is doing so better than the stock market. Whereas a lot of not much intelligent users will now think that it is better to invest in these narratives rather than Bitcoin. This is what negative marketing looks like if we do a broader market research and it has been going on for more than a decade now.

Among our community, no one would probably argue about the impact and importance of bitcoin.

Maybe the tweet was a little misleading. Maybe it was talking about profit returns for a specific amount or period of time only. We all know that even though bitcoin will not be giving you 10x your money in a short amount of time, it is the best investment you can make right now. Although of course patience is the key.

Only people who aren’t that familiar with bitcoin will think that it might not be performing that good. Which they of course should make a much deeper research about.
110  Economy / Economics / Re: Marketing Strategies in the Digital Age on: April 05, 2024, 02:29:36 PM
It's easier than ever to start an online business or marketing campaign – all you need is an internet connection, a device, and some good ideas.

Nowadays, the best kind of promotion would be being posted.

Content creators and social media influencers have never been so in demand. They literally are being paid just to mention a brand name and say a few good things about it. They now have almost as much endorsements as actual celebrities that appear on television.

However, with technological advancements, scammers are also becoming more sophisticated, particularly with the help of AI. This makes it increasingly difficult to distinguish between scams and legitimate offers.

This is why we should be very responsible and careful when interacting with any kind of information that we see on the internet. Always double check if it is real.
111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My trustwallet of $211,000 has been stolen, any help or advice is appreciated on: April 05, 2024, 11:55:31 AM
Sorry to hear this. I will not be too optimistic about reaching out to or being noticed by eXch themselves but I do hope you get your funds back one way or another.

If you are 100% sure that it was not your doing how your wallet got hacked, then I am afraid that the wallet itself might be the problem. It might have a very weak security mechanism which is probably how those scammers got to your wallet. I suggest you change into a different wallet and perhaps research about other possible and much safer ways to store your crypto.
112  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DO NOT BRAG ABOUT YOUR BITCOIN on: April 05, 2024, 11:18:36 AM
What's Bitcoin? Never heard of it

Lol honestly I am guilty of pretending to not know about bitcoin in fear for my safety.

I once heard people talking about bitcoin and I noticed that they too were also talking in hushed tones as if they did not want anyone to know what they were talking about and I honestly get it. I don’t have much bitcoin but it’s still my money and it would pretty suck if anyone had taken it from me. I can not imagine how paranoia those whales who own lots of bitcoin feel in terms of their safety.
113  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC Now Official Currency in Lugano: Another Milestone for Cryptocurrency on: April 04, 2024, 09:55:12 PM
This is good news for every bitcoin enthusiast in the world not just those from Lugano. This gives us hope that may be someday we would also be able to have our governments allow bitcoin to become a payment method or a legal tender. This proves how bitcoin will not be going anywhere else anytime soon since many governments seem to be interested in it. Let’s wish for our own country to do the same!  Grin
114  Other / Off-topic / Re: I will comeback on: April 04, 2024, 01:46:45 PM
Whatever it is your family had to go through, I am glad you sorted it out.

I know how hard it is to focus on cryptocurrency and this forum particularly whenever there are other things that require your immediate attention. You wish to be in a different situation but there’s nothing much you can do. It’s totally frustrating and I can somehow sympathize with you, OP.

anyway glad to see you back and may you enjoy your time in here!
115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which will be the best coin in 2024? on: April 04, 2024, 01:19:04 PM
Bitcoin might have been launched years ago but it doesn’t mean it isn’t on top of its game anymore. I still think that bitcoin is the coin not to miss the most this year especially with the upcoming halving event.

This event is something not to miss and something tells me that this halving won’t be the same as the previous ones. It will be a huge one and it will be a waste to not take advantage of it.
116  Economy / Economics / Re: Banking on people's ideas, visions, and talents. on: April 04, 2024, 12:57:51 PM
I meet a lot of knowledgeable people, those are Buddhist monks, it can be said that their knowledge spans many fields but they are no longer attached to making money or fame in life. Maybe the situation I interact with is different from everyone else, but I always show respect for anyone's choices, and I also find that they are always willing to share everything to help the search object themselves help to solve problems at work, family relationships, health,... Yep there are really many things, but still have to share that we don't discuss religion, just look at the way they live like the content mentioned by the topic.
Those who already have a lot of knowledge about this life, of course they will not think too much about how to get a pleasant life in this life because they have found pleasure in this life from things that can really make them feel pleasure that cannot be obtained in luxury. world so that they don't think too much about life in this world, the life they live will always give them enjoyment in living their life and very few people can do that.
I think knowledge comes with money. Maybe the reason why they don't think too much about it is due to the fact that they are already wealthy? It is possible to obtain other things even if you are already wealthy and in fact it will now be easier for you to do it because you have all the resources.

Let us all admit it that money can fix a lot of things or problems in our life and once we are done with them, we can now attain a more peaceful life and we won't question our life anymore about how cruel this world are to us. The numbers of rich people are I think still great, so the number that can do this are also greater than what you are expecting there.

I rarely find rich people who are not thinking about how to become even wealthier.

The thing is when you have reached a certain point in life where you have achieved something, it will make you want to achieve another level in life. We all know that humans are greedy and almost never content. Since rich people have gotten used to the nice things they have, they don’t think about how lucky they are to own or experience those things. Rather they hyperfixate on things they do not have. That’s what drives them to find ways to become richer than they already are.
117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buying Litecoin as a 17 year old on: April 04, 2024, 12:36:03 PM
Well the safest method would probably be to wait until you are legal age and you can finally register in other exchanges. Tax laws are different for each country and without knowing where you came from it will be hard to figure out how could you possibly avoid taxes from transactions of crypto.
118  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Richest Crypto And Bitcoin Billionaires In The World 2024 on: April 04, 2024, 12:16:46 PM

1. Changpeng Zhao
Net worth: $33 billion (vs. $10.5 billion) | Source of wealth: Binance"
__
4 billion in fines isn't a lot of money to him.

It isn’t just about money, though. It’s his credibility and his name that is also important and having this case tied to your image is not exactly the best thing to happen to a person. 4 billion is what he is being fined for but he might also be losing some money due to other partnerships losing trust in him. Rich people are complicated and it’s not just as simple as losing 4 billion.
119  Economy / Economics / Re: Neo-liberalism and the crisis of Capitalism on: April 04, 2024, 11:28:04 AM

Agree with you. Their suffering occurs because international capitalism is carried out by developed countries and poor countries become fields that are always exploited by developed countries.

So what keeps poor countries poor is developed countries and they don't want poor countries to get better because it doesn't benefit them.

This is not capitalism. This is colonialism you are talking about. Colonialism and capitalism were closely connected in the last few centuries, but  I don't believe that colonialism and capitalism are the same thing. You seem like one of the guys, who blame capitalism for everything.
Why don't the African countries build a bunch of communist egalitarian societies with a government owned command driven economy?
Completely removing capitalism out of the equation will solve the problem. Right? Grin What could possibly go wrong?
Do you really believe that African countries will become developed if the western countries suddenly disappear?

Colonialism no longer exists, colonialism has been abolished since 1945.

Even though colonialism has been long abolished, we can not still deny the many effects that we still see until now.

In countries that have been colonized, we see it every day with their culture and language. Some of the things in their country can only be explained if the context of colonialism gets brought up. Most importantly we see huge impact of colonial mentality where people of one country think anything foreign is better/best.

Quote
No, I don't blame capitalism, and my dream is to become a capitalist because they often become rich people

Capitalism has its disadvantages but if you are part of the rich class, it benefits you the most. As much as I am aware of these disadvantages, I also find myself succumbing into capitalism myself from time to time.
120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Elon Must not tweeting about any crypto coin on his twitter now ? on: April 04, 2024, 10:49:30 AM
He has a life beyond just crypto. And now, he has many troubles in his company, so he must focus on it to ensure every investor feels satisfied. Additionally, he must save time to read manga, watch anime Smiley
right now his tweet seem to be a lot more controlled if compared back then when every day we see some random clues or hints that people take as an investment advice now it seem he has tuned down that behaviour a little bit probably due to various factors.

Well we can’t blame him. I know he’s more of a businessman rather than a celebrity but I bet his team still wants him to establish some sense of image for himself which can only be achieved if he heavily controlled the things that would go out of his social media accounts.

He’s probably having some media training now. Or maybe he’s just really busy. I don’t think we should take this as some sort of bad thing and start losing trust on any of the memecoins he has previously promoted.
