101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CRYPTO BULLION (CBX) | Inventor of PoSP! | 2017 Road-Map PUBLISHED! on: July 28, 2017, 08:38:17 PM
Official CBX bootstrap updated to today. Download from the OP here or website if you need it.

Also, we are still looking for donation for CBX Dev fund, see below:

Donate to the CBX Foundation Development Fund:

One critical piece of the outlined 2017 road-map is to put in place a self funding mechanism for continued development. The current plan is to create a 10k superblock at the time of the hardfork occurring in August/September to be used for a dev operated BPN from which interest earnings would fuel ongoing CBX development, advertising, etc. However, this is not ideal as it could potentially create an issue with exchange listing policies or negative perception/issues for investors. Resultant to this, it has been suggested to create a donation address to gather these funds from the community. In response to this suggestion the below address has been created to accept donations. The goal is 10k CBX. We will report periodically on progress towards the goal.

CBX Donation Address: 5jMKPEvPoHN4UNQEyEh9n84ZPdaQBMzfuZ

I don't know how others feel who may want to donate.

Personally I feel I could send some CBX to the donation address only to sit back and watch as nobody else does the same. Which puts me off donating.

Now, if I knew that I could donate and the target would be reached, I would happily go ahead and donate.

So, here's my proposal.

Helpthecoin has promised 5000CBX toward the total.

We already have 2115CBX donated.

Leaving 2885CBX short of the total 10000CBX needed.

I will donate the 885CBX if.....

I can find 4 people willing to donate 500CBX each.
5 people willing to donate 400CBX each.
10 people willing to donate 200CBX each.
Any number of people who want to contribute toward the 2000CBX goal.

Whatever the amount you can donate, please post what you are able to contribute. Once we have the remaining balance covered provisionally, we can all send together knowing our donation has not been in vain.

Only 2000CBX to raise between the rest of the community, and we can get this issue wrapped up.

The Dev team have always held on to the same dream as we all have, kept the cogs of this project moving, given us hope, and selflessly given many hours of their own personal time and effort, while we sit back and watch them do this.

Lets give something back. Lets secure the future of CBX. Lets invest where we should be investing, in our development team. They have been priceless so far.......

Thank you for all. It works. Cool
But my CBX coin from SPK ICO not in my vault...  Sad

I have checked with CBX coin explorer versus the CBX address you gave us for the ICO coins re-imbursement, and your SPK ICO CBX coins were deposited as you have instructed us, and they are still there.

Please make sure you are using the correct wallet.dat file, or these coins are lost...

lol burn coins , how many are we taking about here . now much i hope , good luck on the recovery

Not really a laughing matter  Undecided

Hi!

I can not sync my cbx vault for two months. I download botstrap and change folder and file from zip archive. After this sync completed on 70%, but after 5 min it rolled back to 48%.

Guys, it is not okay. For 2 month valet was sync only on 48%.

Are you using the newest version of the Vault? Backup your wallet.dat and re-download all of the CBX files. Then insert the bootstrap download and your wallet.dat.

Please report back.

Yes, I have the newest version (2.4.3). Problem is not solved. (Windows valet). Please give me manual (step by step), how install bootstrap.

Click on the Windows icon bottom left of your screen.

In the box type %appdata%

Click on roaming folder

Cryptobullion

Delete everything apart from your wallet.dat

Extract bootstrap into folder

Run client

Thank you. It helped, but wallet is not staking. Sad

No problem.

If your vault is encrypted, make sure you unlock for staking. Pressing 'enter' after putting in your password won't unlock it. You must choose one of the options. Click on 'unlock for staking only'.

The amount of CBX you have will affect the frequency of staking a block.

I last backed up 2 or 3 days ago, so should only take minutes to sync.

Ewww.. gross!!

You've been 'visited' by the shvittiest group in crypto - i wont mention their name but you might want to rinse yourselves clean of the filth masquerading as concern/interest.

do you mean there was a well-known pump group involved in the price spike?

it is ok even if so, volume got us noticed & masternodes/BPNs have something of the self-fulfilling prophecy about them

getting in at this stage before whitepaper and before BPN implementation seems like a good thing.

I have been away from CBX for quite a long time now and seeing the price spike i decided to look back at CBX. So if anyone can tell me whats the currecnt price of CBX. The time i left CBX, it was near 12000 SAT only  Sad

Looking forward to reading!

Would it be possible to have 2 tiers of BPN's?

I ask this, as it may be easily achievable for some of the community to lock 1-2k of their funds away to run a node, but not so achievable for the majority. Especially as the price rises in the near future.

CBX has some strong followers, who have been around for years. Not all have been able to gather such a balance of CBX, or would be able to gather the funds to run a node in the future if the bar was set too high.

How hard would it be to, lets say, have 'Super/Major/Master Bullion Participation nodes' as well as regular BPN's?

If you were to set aside, as you mentioned in a previous post, 250k CBX for BPN.

125k to Super nodes

125k to normal

Lets suggest 5000 CBX to run a Super BPN = 25 available nodes

500 CBX to run a normal BPN = 300 available nodes

Even with the lower Tier at 500 CBX, I can see this rapidly moving out of most peoples reach in the not so distant future, so why not give everyone a fair chance at getting on board.

With this approach, the large holders would be more likely to lock away their balance using a SBPN, rather than a BPN, taking a larger portion of their CBX off the market, while allowing a larger portion of the community to participate in running a node themselves, thus taking a very large portion of the small holders (disposable!) CBX off the market.

Percentages wouldn't need to differ so much. Maybe an extra 0.5% -1% on a SBPN over a BPN, (0.5%-1% extra reward on a 5k node is pretty nice), but obviously maintaining the the baseline network annual reward.

Not sure how complicated this would be, or even if it is achievable

Just a little thought nevertheless

Thank you for the input. We will continue to analyze and evolve the algo as time goes by but that will be in 2018. We have a lot packed into the 2017 road-map so we need to adhere closely to it. Please keep these thoughts going though!

Sure thing. Understood you will all be very busy and that's appreciated.  Just shooting a few ideas  Smiley

So you mean that you upgrade your POsP of this coin and the addition of BPN will not change the theoretical inflation rate of 2%?

The values themselves are not yet set on stone, but the BPN should follow the same basic rules as other nodes: more running BPNs, less personal gains per BPN, same inflation. You can read more about the current proposal here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=951753.msg20114595#msg20114595.

White paper will be released shortly and explain extensively.

Make a copy of your wallet.dat
Delete everything in your Cryptobullion Roaming folder (your folder should now be empty)
Download Bootstrap
Run Client and allow to fully sync
Close client and copy your wallet.dat to roaming folder
Run client

Edit : Looks like client may be crashing due to having to process and verify your transaction history multiple times a second as the blockchain downloads.
I've had this problem before and this usually works for me.

Hi Killiz, great to see you!

Thank you for the suggestion, this usually works when all else fails.
Thanks for your suggestion, I had already done that as well.

I switched the data directory out of Roaming to a different partition and have not had any trouble since.

Not sure what happened, but at least the wallet is up and staking...

Thanks to everyone for your suggestions.

Hey elambert, hope you are well.

Pleased you got it sorted BC

Hi,

Happy 4th Anniversary!

I have been running the 2.4.3 QT on a windows 8.1 computer.

I have had to move it to a Windows Home Server 2011 computer.

Installed the wallet and move the bootstrap and wallet over and all was fine, synced and staking. When I returned to check on things, the wallet had crashed.

Upon restart, I receive the following error via Windows dialog box:

-----------------------------------

MinGW Runtime Assertion

Assertion failed!

Program: C:\Program Fies (x86)\CryptoBullion\CryptoBullion-qt.exe
Files: src/kernel.cpp Line 390

Expression: pindex->pprev||pindex->GetBlockHash()==

I've tried all option to no avail with this result of a new Windows dialog box:

------------------------------------

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an
unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.

                                                        OK

------------------------------------

I tried to check the Syncing Trouble tool in the OP. However, upon clicking on the link, Mega indicates that the given encryption key is invalid.

Please help if you can. Thank you in advance for your time!

This is the link that should be pulling from mega: https://mega.nz/#!WBs3HZjT!mAnYaJKjsYFVhdA8-WQ_EsvyBytiPJViHp4rI65-CVo

Is that what is not working for you?

So, Using the above link, I no longer get the encryption error from Mega.

I successfully downloaded CBX Tool

When I run it, I get an error from Windows Home Server in a dialog box:

-----------------------------------------

C:\Users\Administrator\Downloads\CBX Tool.exe

Insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service.

-----------------------------------------

I tried again first thing after rebooting the machine, I still get this error on a clean boot of the machine.

I tried running it as Administrator to no avail.

Please give me some other suggestions. All OS updates are current.

Make a copy of your wallet.dat
Delete everything in your Cryptobullion Roaming folder (your folder should now be empty)
Download Bootstrap
Run Client and allow to fully sync
Close client and copy your wallet.dat to roaming folder

I cant sign up on cryptotokensico.com.

When I click "sign up" it always clears the password fields and says that I have to fill in a password.

Can you try with a different browser? I just tried it here with Windows Chrome and it all seems fine...

Thank you it seems like it doesnt work with Firefox.
But in Chrome I get the massage "Your account was not verified yet" now. I have clicked on the activation link from the e-mail multiple times  Undecided

...ok after a long waiting time it works now  Smiley.

But you should fix the Firefoy problem. I think a lot of people are using Firefox.

Can confirm when using Google Chrome, it does clear password on login and asks for it to be put in again. However waiting a few seconds after this message, it logs you in.

Looking forward to investing in Quintessence and spark tomorrow Smiley

Fortunately I already have a stake in CBX, and have no hesitation in investing a portion of my CBX in spark.

Team CBX have always delivered, stood fast through thick and thin, and the backbone of the organisation (elambert) has never broke or gave up in over 3 years of CBX's existence. Team members have come and gone, but finally, since Ben and Alex have come along, we have a team to take CBX and Quintessence along with it forward, to the next level, and beyond.

I have all faith in this project and will be supporting it tomorrow once registration is open.

All the best for the future everyone!

Is anyone staking with around 100 CBX? How often are you finding a block if you are staking continuously 24/7?
Just curious.

It varies as it depends how many others are also staking at the same on the network.  I had as many as 5 in one day for <100 CBX in one address, average is about 1 block/day, can expect to hit a block at least every day has been my experience with small stakes.  Also multiple inputs less than 500 coins can sometimes combine when staking and increase their weight for future staking so it becomes more efficient over time.

I also agree with IMZ that everyone should stop using Yobit, it has a long history of being scammy, no support and likely behind many of the ICOs launched there :\

Thanks digit. Just trying to get my head around the arithmetic of what would be a fair cap on the amount of an addresses balance.

I have 66 CBX stuck on yobit. Currently up for sale at .00055
Have been able to withdraw bitcoin from yobit with no problems. As soon as the CBX wallet is confirmed as operational I will be removing my funds from the site promptly.
120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CRYPTO BULLION (CBX) | Powered by PoSP | Est. 2013 on: June 11, 2016, 12:22:21 AM
(4) A maximum of 1000CBX can be used for staking in an address that enters the lottery. This stops any advantage to large holders who win many blocks because of the balance of a particular address.

I didn't understand this rule. Remember that the staking process already splits blocks bigger than 1000 CBX so it's unlikely a block bigger than that will stake in a usually staking Vault. Larger holders will have many 500-1000 CBX blocks and that is their advantage as they can stake a few blocks in a row.

Good point, yes the ones with bigger wallets can stake faster as those are split into smaller 1000s.

An address with a large balance, say 10000 can have many inputs of 1000 or less CBX. Allowing addresses with large balances would be unfair as they may stake many blocks in a row as you say
What I mean is the address can only have a maximum total balance of 1000 CBX to qualify for entry, whether it be one input of 1000, 2 inputs of 500, 4 inputs of 250 etc.
Any address with a balance larger than 1000 will have their entry fee returned.

So, someone who has thousands of CBX must create a new address then transfer only 1000 CBX there so he can use that address to qualify, right?

Yes. This is the only way to keep things fair for everyone who would take part.
It would be totally down to luck. The winning address at the time of finding the winning block must have a balance of no more than 1000 CBX.
If someone were to enter the lotto and then add more funds to the address to increase the chances of hitting the winning block, the winnings would go to the next qualifying address with a final balance of 1000 or less.

The balance of the addresses at the time of staking would be checked to insure this rule is not broken.

OK, I got it. But still a 1000 CBX would have 10x more chances of winning than a 100 CBX, right? And that for the same entry fee.

The fee would remain the same no matter what the balance of the address is.
Good point though, a balance of 1000 with 2 inputs of 500 may stake 2 blocks per hour. While a balance of 100 may stake 1 block every few hours or more.
The qualifying balance could be brought down from 1000 to a fairer amount to accommodate those with much less than 1000 CBX.

Got to get this fair for everyone no matter how many CBX you hold. I think the lowest amount must be no lower than 100 CBX though.

Edit. 1000 CBX would have 1 chance every 60 blocks (1 hour wait before being eligible for staking again) so the chances of an input of 1000 winning the block would probably even out against a lower balance.

Is anyone staking with around 100 CBX? How often are you finding a block if you are staking continuously 24/7?
Just curious.
