What's wrong with the pool? There is less and less blocks found in previous day?
Is this a serious question? I can not explain the statistics on the last day? ;-) Last month the daily average was about 13 Blocks per day. I worked for the pool since 1.5 months, help me to understand... or no luck today in the mining pool ... It all depends on luck, you will have good days, bad days, etc.

One success I've found to keeping these S9's running relatively trouble free is set them up and leave them alone. I do not under any circumstances mess around with them unless absolutely necessary. I don't change clock frequency, fan speed etc depending on time of day or temp, nothing I just leave them alone.
Edit: Fortunately fall is in the air in my area and I hope to not have to mess with anything until summer.

I've looked into Iceland and they do have many perks to setting up a mine there. One problem, I've never been able to obtain a price from Bitfury for a containerized miner. 2nd you'd have to be a citizen of Iceland, the process seemed very difficult for me as a American citizen to go open shop in Iceland. But you are definitely onto something that a group or someone very wealthy could accomplish.

In 2 weeks of mining in a 70F warehouse I have now lost 3 boards out of 6 in the 2 S9's that I just got 2 weeks ago.
Is this normal?
I have bought over 150 S7's, 250 S5's and 300 S3's and never had this kind of failure rate.
Is anyone else experiencing this?
Seems very high to me. I've had some boards go down, but nothing even remotely close to that percentage. Any way to get the boards to works again? When they have gone down they are all X's. Then I restart and the hashboard doesn't even show up. Nothing is burned and the red lights are on on the board. Can I disconnect them for a while and try them again or any other tips? sent a pm Do you know of a way Phil?

I've had to send them all in for repair. Whether you choose sending them to Hong Kong for warranty or Denver is up to you. Hong Kong is free during you warranty period, Denver costs money but is much faster.

Lets hope the A7 fixes the giant flaws with the A6...namely the massive cooling problems the A6 has
Really? Never heard that one before.

I'm probably gonna look the fool, but I'm guessing (and it is a guess, although an "educated" one) we're going to see an announcement on the A7 come Monday. Canaan's tweet and news release this morning rather point to that. I could be wrong, of course...probably am...but heck, there's no fun in not blindly speculating... Yeah these words of Canaan's CEO are reassuring somehow N.G. ZHANG Posted on September 29, 2016 Canaan is now three years old. We are a 100 person team that has outlasted several competitors. We cannot stop pushing innovation forward or be distracted with anything less than bringing the best high quality products with the best service to the world. I know most of you are asking, “When is your next AvalonMiner coming out?” You will hear from us very soon… Typical answer from the great question.

I use to rent 2-4ph on nicehash. throwing all of it at ck solo pool. I don't dare anymore, wonder if I hit any blocks that were withheld? I'll never know.
|
|
|
I wasn't aware Kano had found the exact reason yet. What was it?
Not sure if I got it right, but some rentals were showing hashrate with very poor luck and in fact were withholding the blocks. Nicehash admitted in their thread that they withhold blocks. Only under fishy circumstances, I don't know their definition of fishy. Or how many they are withholding.

They must be using the IP address that has very bad luck. ... Thus I'm more than willing to block an IP address that shows the early stages of bad luck - especially since no one (but me) actually loses out from me blocking an IP address, it just means an increase in variance (and less fees for me ) Now, as I know, the reason of bad luck was found. I am interesting - do you plan to unblock Nicehash? Thx. I wasn't aware Kano had found the exact reason yet. What was it?

Anyone had late playout ? I don't see my payout this 2 or 1 day
Next block will trigger a payout.

what happened to the hash rate is there a node down
nl.kano.is is was down. My miners started beeping and switched to de.kano.is All of my miners have failed over to my 3rd pool (which almost never happens). It seems that stratum.kano.is:3333 and stratum443.kano.is:443 are both down. Same problem here.

Sure would like to hit one myself for once...haven't hit a block since 2013...but after Gox I was out of mining until last October.
Mine on!
I'm adding to my hashrate today. Hopefully I will see more blocks. I've only hit 2 since March.

Awesome, I love hitting blocks.

3 cent power in my area is shady. included with my 3 cent power is a kw demand charge. In the summer it's $18.00 per kw and winter is $14.00. Long story short my 3 cent power is really closer to six and I'm not saving much money.

I guess that's something that I've never really understood, money is money who cares whether it comes from the hobby miner or the massive Bitcoin farmer? That would be disappointing if a avalon stopped selling to the public.
The primary reason is that the after-sale support is distinctly different for individual purchasers and large installations. Individuals many times have problems that really have little to do with the actual mining hardware. Could be Power Supply, Internet access, cooling, whatever. They also have to worry about individual repair and parts replacement. Most of the issues go away when it's a larger enterprise. that is right. So the miner producers would like to sell the miners to big farms. As the support requirement is much lower. I don't blame them. Bitmain is the only company willing to sale to small miners. Look at all the crap they take from people on this forum. If it wasn't for them small miners would be a thing of the past.
