101  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why make New Crypto Exchanges on: December 04, 2020, 10:25:57 PM
How are you so sure that making new crypto exchanges are not profitable anymore? have you had any experience about launching one? The main reason why more and more crypto exchange are popping out is to make money. Plus having many exchange will make a healthy competition in the crypto exchange industry.
102  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the biggest threat to Bitcoin? on: December 04, 2020, 09:58:38 AM
Bitcoin is threat is the panic selling who are selling bitcoin when price dumps and that is the number 1 threat now that we need to avoid losing money too.

I hope people will remain calm and did not panic because we know that we will not see a good result to the bitcoin and of course to us who are affected by this so be careful of selling bitcoin don't sell it all.
For the whales I don't think they find this as a threat they find this as a clearance sale, panic selling have been happening since 2013 and bitcoin is still alive and kicking now pushing to write a new ATH. How many times have bitcoins price been dumped and come back even bigger when it goes onto the bullish trend? everytime so I think panic selling is a factor that we need to worry about bitcoin.
103  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mind Blown Gambling Facts on: December 04, 2020, 05:04:23 AM
A gambler named Archie Karas went to Las Vegas with $50, gambled it up to $40 million over the next two years, only to lose it all in three weeks. Source

How about this one? Who thought that winning is gambling is not possible, damn, small capital to $40 million, must be a gifted gambler, I wonder if there are many of them in the planet.

Though it's possible, but we should not think that this would happen to us, winning in gambling is not just for everyone.
In fact, winning is only for few people while casinos always makes money at the end of the day.
I agree he really got a wonderful talent plus tons of luck in his hands (because hitting a $40 million is not a joke, I won't believe that he only got it through his skills alone). But still, I don't want to be like him, I'd rather be a small time gambler forever which earns small winnings only rather than being a super duper poor when it comes to financing. See? Archie Karas won lots of money but still end up broke. All the time and efforts he spent become pointless.

If I'm on his position, I will spend the 75% of my profits to my needs and safer assets. And the remaining 25% is for gambling. So that when I f*cked up this time at least I will not go back from scratch.
Surely the ending would be different if and only if he didn't let lose of his self and have control over his bets, he feels like his luck will never end. He got overwhelmed by the winnings and the luck he has experienced and he bet way too much money on each bets he make, surely $40m is a huge bankroll but looking at his bet amounts according to the source it will not take a long losing streak to wipe out all his money. Winning $40m with just $50 with his pocket and a $10k loan clearly would blow anyone's mind but no matter how big we win we must not let go of ourselves and be disciplined all the time.
104  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Your Life After 10 years in Bitcoin... on: December 04, 2020, 04:38:34 AM
Now bitcoin is preparing to reach another ATH. Are you still there and holding your bitcoins? What happened to your life after 10 years in bitcoin? Is there any changes?
I'm still holding onto my bitcoin up until now. I've been onto bitcoin since 2016 so it been only 4 years since I first got hold of bitcoin but many things already changed in my life, bitcoin provided everything that I have right now. My life literally turn bright when I got into bitcoin, bitcoin opened tons of opportunity for me and brought me things I didn't expect to get at my age. I couldn't imagine what would happen to me if I didn't came across with bitcoin back in 2016.
105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Ripple a better fit for payment solutions? on: December 04, 2020, 02:32:16 AM
Taking XRP transaction speed and fees I personally think XRP is a better fit for payment solutions in the crypto world. Sending XRP literally takes just seconds to reflect and the fees are extremely low.

Overall, XRP or Ripple is better fit as a payment solution. If maybe in the future, it will become a stablecoin, it will be surely accepted as a way of payment from across borders as what is it used now. One of the problems of cryprocurrency specifically Ripple with very good use case is the volatility of it.
This is what I've been thinking about XRP too, XRP already has the needs and it being a stable coin will erase the volatility in XRP which will then surely push XRP as a payment solution in the near future. This is the only downside I see and what's been keeping XRP to be accepted as payment method/solution in our world.
106  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you verify every bet as a gambler? Provably Fair Guide. on: December 04, 2020, 12:22:39 AM
I don't find the need to verify each bet I makes in the most site I play in because most of them are the most popular and reputable gambling websites online right now. Having a site that is established in the gambling world in the internet I feel confident that each bets I make with them is fair and square. But whenever I'm gonna play on a newly opened website this is where I feel the need that I must check the sites fairness before playing in there just to prove if they are really offering a fair service.

108  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is a new investment on: December 03, 2020, 05:54:51 AM
Also, bitcoin is one of the promising investment in digital world. Since, peoples economy nowadays are unstable due to the pandimic situation in the world.
If we are talking for long term investment and holding bitcoin is by far the best shot we can go in the cryptoworld right now specially now that real adoption of bitcoin is currently happening many giant companies are showing interest and adopting bitcoin now.

Bitcoin is one of the strong cryptocurrency and it is the most stable digital coin nowadays.
It is indeed the strongest coin right now but it is not the most stable at all, bitcoin is known to be extremely volatile and you can prove it by looking at its price graph.
109  Economy / Speculation / Re: Some twist in take for BTC what's next? on: December 03, 2020, 03:15:24 AM
Bitcoins price is stabilizing in $18.5k to $19k mark this first week of December, maybe bitcoin is just waiting for momentum to try and break again the $20k mark and if not break I think bitcoin can go dip again at $16k-$17k ish mark. I hope price correction will come after breaking the ATH and not before the next attempt to break the ATH.

112  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In my school, Bitcoin is now becoming a subject on: December 02, 2020, 10:23:24 PM
I don't know if we're the same but in this school year (2020-2021) Bitcoin is now being introduced to our school, although it may not be introduced to other courses, since I am currently taking Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) hence, we are to take Bitcoin and the history of BTC. It's actually great that schools are putting Bitcoin to their curriculum, with that, I got to share my experience with Bitcoin, I got the chance to share my knowledge about the history of Bitcoin and how much I benefited from this.
It's good to hear that more universities are placing bitcoin and blockchain in their curriculum, here in my school some teachers introduced my classmates to the blockchain world. We are taking the same course of study BSIT right now, most of my classmate doesn't believe in bitcoin but good thing is many have their eyes opened into bitcoin and the blockchain world and how it works.

I'm not sure that bitcoin is worth spending so much time at school. After all, not everyone will be interested in this knowledge.
I agree that not everyone will be interested in this topic but whose gonna lose the opportunity? Schools adding things like bitcoin and blockchain would be beneficial for those who see the true potential and power of crypto world and the blockchain.
113  Economy / Economics / Re: Why BTC is digital gold? on: December 02, 2020, 10:47:29 AM
If you think that it's enough to qualify as digital gold, then Pokemon trading cards are also digital gold. Or World of Warcraft's currency.
I agree with this, not just Pokemon trading cards but also some valuable ingame items from different esports games right now, there are tons of items that cost hundred and thousands of dollars. Anything rare in the digital world can be considered gold if it still has the demand from the market.

Even if it were rare, that is not where its value comes from.
Yes bitcoins value doesn't totally came from its rarity, but bitcoin being rare surely contributes to it's value even by a little percentage. Having a limited supply and high rarity will cause the people to put high demand on it and eventually price will surely go up as long as the demand from people is there.
114  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: lets imagine world without fiat currency on: December 02, 2020, 04:49:02 AM
Without fiat currency back then you can buy goods from another with the barter system or the trading system. A world without fiat now I think is already feasible and possible in the near future. Technology develops in rapid phase, sooner or later we will see all things gets processed digitally. This is already happening right now, banking online and paying goods using barcodes and ewallets.
115  Economy / Speculation / Re: Nearly $ 100 million worth of Bitcoin stolen from the 2016 Bitfinex hack has jus on: December 02, 2020, 02:42:21 AM
It might affect the market but the possibility of it crashing down bitcoins price totally is close to impossible I think. With that big amount of bitcoins the hackers are holding and the amount of people that are into them they will really find it hard to launder that sum of money they can't dump big sell orders that may cause bitcoins price to plummet.
116  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paypal is doing it on: December 01, 2020, 12:31:48 PM
Paypal announcing this made a good impact in the bitcoin world. Visa is showing interest in bitcoin too after Paypal officially announced that bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies can be used under their service. Paypal made a really good move of adoption which will leads for more future adoption from big companies around the world.
117  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin profit Christmas gifts. on: December 01, 2020, 07:21:07 AM
Hey guys, what presents will you buy for Christmas from your bitcoin profit?
Nothing, I'll just keep compounding my bitcoin funds and profits for me to buy even more bitcoin when it dipped again. I have spare money to buy presents and we often does not exchange gifts in Christmas a little gathering would be sufficient to celebrate Christmas for my family.
I'm up to saving my bitcoin funds and not spending them now.
118  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin hitting ATH right now? on: November 30, 2020, 11:47:15 PM
Bitcoins pullback was great now I am just hoping that it will break the $20k-$20.5k mark this week in order for it to rise even more. The whole market is unpredictable last week we dropped to $16.9k can't wait for the new ATH record of bitcoin.

Bitcoin Monthly close is too close. Just a few hours away to close this month. If Bitcoin keeps bullishness we may break the new ATH and create another new ATH. We can also break the 20000$ level. I am too excited. I am also excited to see the dump also. Because many investors will try to book profit.
Quite honestly that is what worries me the most, what will happen now that we have finally reached the goal that took us three years to reach? Will the price of bitcoin keep going up as people get excited about the fact that bitcoin finally surpassed its ATH or this is going to be the beginning of the end for this trend and people will begin to sell their coins thinking a  crash is coming and this will create a massive decrease in the price similar to what we saw in 2017.
Surely many holders will sell out their bitcoins when the new ATH is hit, I'm one of them. That's what we've been waiting for 3 years.
A crash/dip will be predictable if bitcoin will reach a new ATH but surely it will not take long for bitcoin to pump a little more than its previous ATH.
119  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Gang uses crypto for illegal purposes on: November 28, 2020, 09:50:39 AM
These kinds of activities can no longer stop but instead, to see them growing as they are taking this advantage. But I know that cybercrime groups will find solutions to this in the coming days.

If many countries will impose strict laws and regulations about crypto it could help lessen these activities. Countries can set a minimum amount of crypto to fiat exchange monthly or annualy. They could ask many papers to backup the source of crypto of their citizen. If the criminals found out there are many processes to convert bitcoin into fiat then they would think twice or find other country where it's not that strict to convert crypto to fiat.
I don't think imposing stricter laws and regulations will totally stop the illegal doings in crpyptocurrency. Strict laws and regulations is already implemented in fiat system and still same issues still happens. No matter how strict your laws are criminals will always have money to open up free way for them. It might lessen or totally stop small groups from doing it but big groups like what op mentioned I think not.
