481  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: France to launch their own cryptocurrency on: December 09, 2019, 07:02:13 AM
well, it seems like France will also launch their own cryptocurrency next year. it's funny that just year ago they despise cryptocurrency(article about it) and now they are launching their own cryptocurrency
and even teaching high school students about cryptocurrency(article about it) and preparing them for it. how things have changed in just a year Cheesy Cheesy

@acroman08 if France can successfully launch it’s centralised crypto then they’ll be forced to admit that Bitcoins is money and they may even consider legalising it. Also I’m sure many central banks will be keenly watching France move regarding their Crypto, and it’ll only be a matter of time before they too consider launching it in their countries. However France crypto may be a epic failure too because in the end of the day it’s a centralised crypto, and not a decentralised one like bitcoin.
The fact that they are launching a stable coin is good but I don't think this will lead to bitcoin being legalize there in France. They want people to use the coin that they'll be launching so if they were to legalize bitcoin which people there literally know better than any stable coin by any company or country people will just be using bitcoin alone, at least the majority of the population.
482  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons to be thankful than hate him on: December 09, 2019, 03:28:41 AM
Honestly, we can't blame those who hate bitcoins,  those who are against bitcoin because we don't know the reason why they are hating it. Maybe they had a  negative experience or just getting carried away by politicians. We people have our own decisions and beliefs all we need is just to understand each other that we can't be the same all the time.
483  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sale my old bike and buy bitcoin, what do you think? on: December 08, 2019, 06:46:57 AM
If the price movement will go up and bitcoins price will continue to rise then it's a worth exchange I think. The thing is we really don't know if whatever we are doing will go the way we expected. Investments hold a ton of risk and each thing we sell to buy something like what you did we must be ready to have a loss. But if you have trust in what you did, be confident and be positive.
484  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best Bitcoin gifts for Christmas? on: December 07, 2019, 11:23:07 PM
The best gift, no doubt, would be gifting the Bitcoin itself Wink I mean who hates free money???
Kidding aside everyone really loves money lets just admit it, everyone needs money so giving money on Christmas will be a really good gift to anyone. No matter what age or what interests them as long as you give them money they will be happy for sure 101%. But the real-valued gift for crypto users is for sure secured hardware or cold wallet for storing cryptocurrency.
485  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The importance of bitcoins :) on: December 07, 2019, 01:08:19 PM
As for me it is an amazing source of Income , it may not be 100% what you could want , but it helps you get those late night pizzas I might say .
If you are a student it becomes even more necessary because as a student you are not allowed to work , all you could do is rely on it as an independent source of income apart from all the society ( don't know about other sources but in medical you are not allowed to work ).
This is my reason too on why bitcoin is important to me. Being a broke college student you can't just ask for money from your parents, specialy if you're above 18 yrs old. Adulthood is what lead me to bitcoin, searching for some income I can make online and end up with bitcoins which really helps me big time.
486  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Nearly $10 billion worth of BTC moved in just 15 minutes? on: December 06, 2019, 09:33:31 PM
I still can't get it why people always panic and post something here, will it really affect bitcoins movement? Moving that kind of huge money has never been a reason for a dump nor a pump in price. Maybe there are some occasions but it is just due to people overreacting on the situation. So what if someone moved millions of dollars?
487  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are the world’s governments not using cryptocurrencies? on: December 04, 2019, 12:14:40 PM
Because they can't benefit from bitcoin unlike from printed fiat currecies. The worl government is all about power and money, they use and believe what they created and what they can manage to have a grip too and it's not cryptocurrencies. They will struggle in trying to have control over crypto networks which what they need to do if they want to use and let the world use cryptocurrency.
488  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase Holds a Whopping 966,230 Bitcoin ($7B) in Cold Wallet on: December 03, 2019, 09:49:04 AM
It's not surprising to know that there are huge number of people who trust coinbase. Coinbase is a really well established wallet service for bitcoin and also a way to exchange bitcoins to fiat instantly so its just normal for them to have this huge amount of bitcoin. I think blockchain wallet also holds tons of bitcoin because they are the 2 big names in this kind of industry.
489  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to buy 1 bitcoin on: December 02, 2019, 10:32:50 AM
So I own $1000 in bitcoin but I want to invest the remaining amount to accumulate a whole bitcoin.
With what you have $ 1K, what is left of that amount for you to invest in bitcoin? how can you invest the rest for a bitcoin, while the price of bitcoin is now $ 7300.
need more capital to reach so you can bitcoin.

I think I'm confusing you.  I got $1000 from my bank account and put into bitcoin using coinbase pro.  Now I want to put in whatever is leftover to own a whole bitcoin not just $1000 worth.

If your only goal is to have and accumulate a total of 1bitcoin just keep on cashing in your money on your coinbase pro account and withdraw it to an external wallet, you'll be needing to spend $7,324.91 at the moment minus your current balance which is $1k, you need approximately $6.5k more.
490  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Satoshi hides his identity? on: December 01, 2019, 01:04:29 PM
It's not about the fame that he does not want. Fame is just a plus I think, what Satoshi really want I think is a change literally a major change in the financial system and it contradicts the government. What Satoshi is really protecting I think is his security, imagine your work started getting into government official nerves because most of them are against bitcoin plus all the bad people online, you think he'll be safe considering he is holding a ton of bitcoins.
491  Economy / Speculation / Re: What's going on? on: December 01, 2019, 10:41:23 AM
Unpredictable price movements from the dump to pump is just pretty common in the cryptocurrency world, it can be caused by 2 factors. Fud news and just the usual trading activities on a crypto exchange. And that's the volatility of cryptocurrency.
492  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It is impossible to proof that somebody is Satoshi. on: December 01, 2019, 05:47:10 AM
It's not impossible to prove that he is indeed the real Satoshi Nakamoto. There is a ton of evidence, valid evidence that will prove he is the real Satoshi Nakamoto. Proving that he can access the wallet which Nakamoto left untouched with tons of bitcoin is strong evidence and if this happen there is no questioning on his identity if he will be able to login to that wallet.
493  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Thought you guys might be interested in this bitcoin mobile game I'm making on: December 01, 2019, 12:25:22 AM
Would be really exciting and fun if you put all Satoshi Nakamoto wanna be on as a summoned monster would be fun to kill them haha.
is it possible for it to be available in PC? it's just that the game seems would be easier to play in PC rather than in android. other than that the game looks promising!
also, I suggest moving the topic to Project Development since the mod in this board might delete the thread. there is a move topic at the bottom left of the thread.
Putting this game on android devices is a real plus for the developer. Android phones are more spread than PC and it's more accessible and you can always play whenever you want as long as you have your phone.
494  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So, What did you buy with your bitcoins on Black Friday? on: November 30, 2019, 12:28:42 PM
I bought nothing xd. I mostly don't buy stuff I don't need online or anywhere with or without sale, I just focus on buying things that I really needed in my daily life or in my future life. I really want to spend some wants but looking at bitcoins' current state you need to be careful about what you buy and make sure you need it because the money that can be used to fund investment will be wasted if you have done a wrong purchase.
495  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Was Hal Finney the real Satoshi? on: November 30, 2019, 11:32:31 AM
How may of you guys own multiple BTC addresses and do this every day? I know I do.

I'm pretty sure everyone does have multiple wallets addresses. And I'm sure everyone does that stuff everyday sending bitcoins from your dummy wallet to your main wallet or vice versa, it has something to do with anonymity at least for me tho, that's the reason why I send funds from my main to dummy.
496  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: You think that governments might adopt cryptocurrencies to replace fiat currency on: November 29, 2019, 01:15:35 PM
I believe that the government will consider this kind of move, I really hope too. But even tho I'm a believer of bitcoin replacing fiat there is still a slight doubt in my mind about it, if it will really happen or if it will really benefit cryptocurrency. Fiat and cryptocurrency shall work side by side and help each other not to replace each other.
497  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You think terrorist groups around the world use Cryptos as a means of payment? on: November 28, 2019, 08:01:45 AM
Have you ever heard of the dark web or the deep web? The FBI raided the dark web because of the usage of bitcoin there. Terrorist groups can easily buy and sell things on the deep web using bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency. There are a lot of other websites for sure that host this kind of transaction they are just hidden.
498  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Biggest Shopping Mall in USA Goes All in BTC ATMs for Holiday on: November 28, 2019, 02:08:35 AM
I don't think bitcoin is fit for this situation. transfer fee would be too high for a small amount of money, other kind of altcoins would be great.
anyway, things are going wild there. happy to see cryptocurrency's being applied
If you'll be doing transactions below $100 I can't recommend you using bitcoin as a payment method but if you'll be doing big transactions on mall specially on a shopping trip bitcoin would really benefit you because sometimes people tend to exceed their credit cards limit for a transaction so bitcoin would be beneficial for that.
499  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Currency Symbol Emoji ? on: November 28, 2019, 12:25:15 AM
Talking about official emoji on major social media sites and cellphone keyboards there is no such emoji that directly portrait bitcoin. You can indicate bitcoin on a post just by putting money bag in there for and some info referring to bitcoin.
500  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The new Faketoshi strikes again! on: November 26, 2019, 09:58:29 PM
This guy is not only fake, but also scamming people.
That is why so many people are claiming they are the real Satoshi Nakamoto because if they happen to make them believe what he is saying people will trust him money for investment and the impostor gets tons of money just by doing that.
