I think Arsenal is the favorite of the upcoming match, despite the fact that the team can not win in recent games. Yes, the Gunners are on a losing streak. But the game with Crystal Palace is a good opportunity for the club to break the losing streak. Crystal Palace will not be able to do anything against their opponent, despite the fact that Sallah is absent from the Arsenal squad.

Crystal palace might be an opportunity that Arsenal do not want this weekend. Crystal palace is not a team you want to play when you are struggling for form as a team because they are a tough crack, a quality team which can spring surprises to any team

Can Arsenal escape at home with all 3 points ?

Moise Kean has a deal with Atletico Madrid.

If Correa will leave Madrid he will join the until the end of the season.

Moise Kean of Juventus ? Looks like he has struggled to get suitors since his breakthrough at Juventus but why Atlético madrid? Will get game time ? He has had different spells at different club sides including psg without a super season, so you think this willl be different in Madrid with Simeone ?

When are you guys going to stop this Osimhen transfer discussion, he has just recently signed a new deal with Napoli that he is going to stay still 2026 which I think he is choice, he might see what we are not seeing but even me I don't like the fact that he still remain in that club but it's what it's, his choice and we can't take that but know him for one thing that he is smart, there will be option for a buy in that new contract so that he can live anytime if he is not satisfy again.
'

Haha, everyone enjoys the speculations surrounding Victor Osinhem and Napoli and its boring already haha. I think The Napoli talisman will remain in the serie a for another season before even thinking about a move away. Also, the player needs to curb the possible paid pr damage to his image; as the leaks get annoying and indicting.

Especially whenn you rememver Kvara agent rude interview against Osinhem to the press

So far, Xavi is one of the most successful coaches in my opinion. Barcelona doesn't need to act rashly by sacking him and finding a replacement coach for him

Well, Xavi ranks amongst good coaches in europe today; but he does not rank as one of the most successful coaches in europe; and if Barcelona sack the dude today' they will face little difficulty replacing him.

The problem with Barcelona this season has to do with players depth, injury profiles and poor investment in the squad. No coach can fix such deficit.
Better for Barcelona board to trust the process with Xavi
105  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: January 17, 2024, 11:14:21 PM
Nice is not yet convincing enough to catch up with PSG, which currently has a difference of 8 points. I don't think Nice is trivial, but PSG is indeed a super power team compared to the teams you mentioned. So it's no wonder that this season PSG will win Ligue 1 easily again.

Correct. It could be that for Mbappe, this will be his last year with PSG because rumors are growing that he will leave after this season finishes. Of course PSG fans want to see that before Mbappe leaves, PSG must win the UCL League. Even though PSG are not currently favorites, there is no harm in hoping that a miracle will come for PSG this season.

Miracles exists but people that will have miracle will still be having doubts on that which they’ve had miracle on before because of the nature of the situation. PSG where not able to win the champions league when they had star players like Neymar, Messi and Mbappe in one team, why then now? They are doing well in the ligue 1 and that have given them an advantage over other teams in the league. But their performance in the league is not what is been replicated in the champions league. They need to replicate that if they want to go far in this season’s champions league. But just by miracles, I doubt if it will work for them and work in their favour.

PSG is a team in a rebuild phase; with Neymar, Messi and other players gone and other talisman and this doesn't mean that they cannot win the champions league at all.  If they can trust the young process with Luis Enrique; they can have a shot at the champions league.

Now, PSG have to plan for Mbappe exit to Real Madrid and focus on their rebuild squarely.

Hmm... Arsenal are still quite silent in the transfer window. We have already got past the first half of January. They won't have a long time to finish the deals in their mind if they wait longer.

I wonder why Arteta is still waiting in fact.  Huh  Because he looked quite keen on making some signings in this month. Maybe a move for Serhou Guirassy? I think that it might be possible. Because he has a release clause worth only 17.5 million € now. If they have a more effective scorer like him they can be more assertive for the title race as well. But let's see what goes around Arteta's mind in the coming days.

I think the Arsenal officials are wary of Arteta choice of players and that's why the transfer window is very quiet for Arsenal, After signing Haverts (who has struggled), Trossard who can't bench Saka, and even wasteful spending on a goal keeper not better than RAMSDALE; its not looking bright on the transfer window for Arteta.

What do you think? Can Arteta get any signings this month transfer windows?
107  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: January 17, 2024, 10:57:39 PM

One of the fixtures for the UCL round of 16 between Arsenal and Porto is more of an average probable game. Both teams are likely to win. Although Arsenal are a better side judging from their EPL performances, to their group stage performances too. Porto themselves aren't doing so bad in their league and they've got good track record in the group stage. That's why the game is going to be a little bit tough to predict the winner, well let's see if Arsenal would be able to comfortably win them and qualify for the next round.

I do not think the champions league game would be average tie; i believe instead that it will be a great game that will entertain both fans and even neutral fans as the game can give outcomes both ways. It can either be an Arsenal win or a Porto win. I am tipping Porto to qualify ahead of arsenal, as they have got the clout and champions league knock out games experience compared to the young arsenal squad.

what do you think ?

Mourinho took Roma to consecutive European finals and won the club their first ever European title (The UEFA conference league), for a team like Roma, and with the budget and resources they have, i think that is success/achievement IMO. I know poor results this season is one of the major reasons why Mourinho was fired, but i think discipline is another one, his attitude in the dugout has left a lot to be desired and that's why he has picked up so many red cards, i am sure tha club have looked at all of this and said, you know what...it is time to cut ties with him. I wish Mou all the best for the future.

Winning the first european trophy for Roma is impressive, but if we consider the funds spent in his time including wages offered to the players Mourinho vetoed; it can be considered a failure at Roma, inability to get top 4 places in the serie a and finishing 6th for consecutive season had its toll; the repeated player power struggle meant it was time for Jose to go

A top manager; a top coach; hopefully he finds a better adventure soon

When Real Madrid was disappointed by Mbappe because he canceled his transfer and chose to extend his contract with PSG, Real Madrid did not dwell too much on this failure. Because now Real Madrid is more focused on targeting other players. In the 2024 summer transfer market, Real Madrid wants to focus more on bringing in a new left-back. One player who is currently the focus of the Spanish capital team is Bayern Munich defender, Alphonso Davies. Davies is Real Madrid's main target because they need a new left-back. However, Los Blancos are likely to face obstacles from Bayern Munich. If Davies's contract extension is not completed within the next two months, Real Madrid could step in to obtain his services.

Real Madrid are very much interested in signing mbappe, and are just waiting to see if a deal with psg will be possible. A front 3 of mbappe rodrygo and Vinicius is in the cards and the future looks well planned by Florentino Perez’s

Don’t rule out mbappe to madrid move

For Everton, they have not performed well enough this season because they have had many problems affecting their club. It looks like it will take a lot of effort for them to get out of the bottom zone of the standings this season. It is also reported that Forest will be punished for breaking the rules so this will be quite a tough season for Forest and Everton. I think they should be able to gather strong evidence to be able to appeal if they are not guilty.

Truth is that Everton have performed well this season and if not for financial fair play point deduction, the club side will be battling for an Europa league spot at this stage of the Campaignl

I believe Dyche will turn it around completely and take Everton off relegation struggles
111  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: January 15, 2024, 10:29:25 PM
I think Barcelona will have to wait until the end of this season to sign new players. It's hard to find good players right now. Each player is currently under contract with different clubs. Nowadays, to think about new players for Barcelona, a lot of money is needed which Barcelona does not have at the moment. As you said, Barcelona have not been able to sign top quality players in recent years due to the club's current financial crisis. But many are not willing to accept these things. These things many people without trying to understand, are blaming Xavi and expressing their displeasure with a coach as skilled as Xavi.
Even though Robert Lewandowski can be said to be a new player at Barcelona, in reality his presence brought victory only at the start, whereas currently conditions cannot bring victory to Barcelona, even though he scored a goal in the 33rd minute, which shows that Robert Lewandowski is still trying hard to score goals even though Barcelona is experiencing quite critical internal problems.
[/quote

I don’t know why you guys put it this way, but Xavi or Lewandowski is not Barcelona problem . The squad is struggling with injuries, the club is too broke to get squad players and they have to rely on teenagers for a bench roles

That’s not a coaching problem but management problem
112  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 15, 2024, 10:18:56 PM
Honestly, Martial is a good striker. But unfortunately he couldn't gain the trust of ETH. He couldn't compete with Rashford or Hojlund.

You have got it all wrong
Ofcourse martial is a good striker, he didn’t lose any trust at all, martial issue is that he is never available for selection due to different injuries and that’s why a move away from Manchester United is on the cards for him

It has nothing to do with competition
113  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: January 14, 2024, 07:37:22 PM
it hasn't even entered half of the half but Madrid has managed to score 2 goals through Vinicius in the 7th and 10th minutes,

Its a beautiful start to the game as theres been 3 great strikes with Real Madrid leading in the Super cup final; beauiful brace  from Vinicius and a lewandoski goals so far in the first half as Barcelona trail by a goal. Do you think Barcelona can draw level? or Real Madrid will get a 3rd goal?

What are your predictions for the tie?

According to rumors Benzema wants to leave Saudi Arabia and come back to Europe.

What do you think? I think it is just a Bs, he is good with their lifestyle since his orings are there and he takes a lot of money ...

make no sense if he wants to leave-

Well, it makes every sense if Benzema wants to return to European football; moreover Henderson is also looking for a transfer back to Amsterdam to join Ajax in Holland; with visibility to the Saudi league achieved successfully; a final bout in European football for Benzema would be a good move

If he can keep his injury record cleaner; then he could be a bang for any side that signs him up

So far the highlights from the africa competition is not impressive, with 0 fans turn out; awful football pitches (more sand than grasses), i wonder how the africa organizers want players to enjoy football and what media view they are potraying.

To be honest, if you are expecting good performances from the tournament, i doubt you will find it; the pitch does not support quality performances; i believe scouts are equally disappointed too.

WILL THIS CHANGE GOING FORWARD?

What a disappointment from Evans, he is a weak and old defender that is just a short one to the club.

The disappointment should be on the coach who has found it difficult to build a proper structure in the manchester united team, the attack is woeful, the midfield is a disarray and the defense is in shambles, if anyone deserves blame, then it is the coach, ten hag.

is he good enough for mufc? i never believed so; he needs the sack soon
117  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: January 14, 2024, 12:51:58 AM

Many people think that Chelsea are just lucky

I think the criticisms are right and genuine; It was a lucky win which also showed the usual chelsea team we watch weekly under pochetino (Not good enough), such performances cannot continue if chelsea want to be back at the top.

Cann the performances ghet better under pochetino? i don't believe so

The return of Keven De Bruyne will certainly boost Manchester City in advantage and help them to get successive victories for sure whether in English Premier League or in UEFA Champions League.
In the table right now, Manchester City are classed third but in fact they are missing one more game and in case they win it, they will be just 2 points behind of Liverpool so they might claim back the first place after a Liverpool defeat or maybe draw.
In less than 18 hours, Manchester City will face Newcastle away and they are still the favorite to win this game.

With de bruyne, haaland and Rodri returning to full fitness, we can already give the premier league title to Manchester city; they have remained in the title for race despite injuries and look well on course to more victory in their premier league games as their talisman return to full fitness

What are your league predictions
119  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: January 11, 2024, 11:24:53 PM

Barcelona has got a very good team

I agree with you, the Barcelona squad is a good one, although injury ravaged; they have had good success on the pitch this season and I think it can only get better

Next they face Real Madrid in the Spanish cup final, super tie ahead!!!

I don't know about you, but how nice would it be to see a Lazio - Frosinone semi-final?
even if it will be very difficult for Juventus to lose a match like this in their stadium

Haha, if wishes were horses, it would be a walk in the park for Frosinone. not to disappoint you, i can see a JUventus victory ahead with atleast 3 unreplied goals from the Turin boys as they progress to the semfinal of the coppa italia to face Lazio!
