Yea, it is going to be very tough now.
102  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: mining help on: October 22, 2013, 06:00:57 PM
Just type in "bitcoin profit calculator" and you will get lots of hits.

keep in mind that things that look too good to be true usually are.

A single USB is not going to do anything for you at all.  Start thinking about 10 or 100 and you are talking.

Nice design.
104  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Once again, Holy difficulty jump, Batman!!!! on: October 22, 2013, 05:56:25 PM
$193 right now, damn I wish I had bought BTC when it was in the $60's a month or so ago......

LTC down to $1.67, and I have 200 LTC.  Son of a bitch. Angry
lol

I bought it at $9... and sold it at the "peak" of $45.

I'm a stock market wizard.
105  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will Bitcoin hit $300? on: October 22, 2013, 05:52:53 PM
Thousands of Chinese are now insanely buying BTC. Look at Chinese exchange daily trade volume - it's leading now.
It may easily repeat April's scenario.
Don't limit your imagination with $300, think about four digits!

I hope you are right... it would be a nice thing.

The difficulty rise is hard to project, but you should do a couple of data point analyses with increasing difficulty.

Look at the exponential growth of BTC diff.

Hmm... that plane looks old.  Black and White means old.

Do you have a version that would work on a tropical beach?

Better to Buy and hold Bitcoin for a year or more....

I would have made so much more money if I would have simply bought bitcoin with the money I spent on mining equipment.
so true

This is true, but sad.  I had/have fun doing this.  It just does not pay anymore.
111  Economy / Goods / Re: WTS Golden Airplane - Bitcointalk Exclusive 50BTC on: October 22, 2013, 04:17:04 PM
I am interested in buying several planes. Is this your only model?

I have them custom built, there are actually some newer models in production, at the moment they are being tested in the Lockheed Skunk Works as they were eager to take a look.

So, are they gold?  or "gold"?

113  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Breaks 2 Petahashes {GPU Mining Dead} on: October 22, 2013, 04:13:09 PM
While I knew we'd get here... I'm surprised at how soon, honestly.

Look at the pools these days... it is taking forever to mine a single block.

It seems to me, that if you are not currently in the game with a whole rack of ASICS... you won't want to commit.  The barrier to entry is just too damn high.

Sounds legit.

...it is always edited with the current version.

Thanks.  Apparently my window is truncating it... I see that you are completely right.

Thanks.
116  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will Bitcoin hit $300? on: October 22, 2013, 04:08:07 PM
November 12th 2013 it may be under 100$, if no new fiat enters the markets.

Do you ever get tired of being wrong?

Are you able to think ahead a bit?
Once this craze is over and it will obviously go down after the very peak, every holder is going to want to sell close to the peak.
I believe we'll see an avalanche of coins, maybe up to 100k more coins into the market. It only takes 1 hour to transfer coins
to the exchanges, but days to transfer fiat (if it's not already there). So for a few days the price will drop dramatically, and
if not enough fiat will enter to compensate and resume an uptrend, we may end this year under 100$.
true. i'm hopeing for this. i need to buy...

117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IFC THE CRYPTO US DOLLAR! Support IFC! on: October 22, 2013, 04:06:23 PM
I just un-ignored you cause I just had to respond.  I know it is the wrong thing to do... but...

You are very vocal here... and that is your right.  I am, in no way, trying to curb you of that right.  What I do get to say is that your post are filled with classic argument fallacies.  You make grandiose comments, and ignore the replies people give you.

It has become clear that you provide little, to no, valuable input here for me.

I'm a miner, not a pool owner.  I have a significant investment in hardware and time, and I do it because I want to make some money, and to help build up a technology that I think IFC has real promise.

If you don't like IFC, that is your right.
If you want warn everyone that they are about to enter in to a mistake... again, your right.

But to get frustrated when others read your post and decide that you words are not worth reading... that's my right.

I'm done with you and your disinformation.

Be gone, troll.

IFC is like any other cryptocurrency.  Minor tweaks / improvements over the others.  But it relies on the same fundamental concepts as all the others.

It is about use and perceived value.

I understand the haters.  Hate IFC, the price gets driven down, others go up or you buy in.

I think it has real promise.

Plz don't mistake our realism for hate. Wink

Btw, how did you manage to pool hop us so efficiently ?

Which multipool were you running to as IFC's diff was about to drop ?

So, talk performance.  How are they?  Not posted perf, but actual.

My Jupiter has been running for just under 23 hours.  cgminer shows an average of 547Gh/s and 2.5% error rate.  That translates to a pool speed of 533GH/s.

Bertmod (monitoring software) says the chips are taking 480 watts.  Plus the power for the beaglebone.

Good data point, thanks.
