I would even say that 'top tier' listings of new coins lost their influence on price. In the short term price can jump a bit but this effect becomes rather small and very short.
It same with my opinion, less volume in exchange site. More old bitcoin wallets are active and this create another dump. I guess how this will be possible to create a FOMO when bitcoin is not yet activated I meant about a lot of percentage of supply are still inactive. It is obvious that long term holders of all currencies come back to their wallets and try to sell due to unfullfilled expectations. However, could you explain the point with FOMO and inactive supply? I don't get it ..

Moreover, backing or tying a cryptocurrency to another asset requires a proper valuation (and ongoing revaluation) of underlying asset. That is difficult and for example banks employ large teams to do it.
And even if such audit takes place doubts will still persist, this is what happened to tether some months ago when people began to worry if all the tether in circulation was in fact backed by dollars, everyone in tether backed their claims and said there was nothing to worry but I do not remember if an external party was given the chance to test if their claims were true so trust will always be an issue with such a coin. I think Tether boasted with some audits but I don't know how reliable they were. I agree trust is the key for cryptocurrency backed with assets.

Custom asset integration: Completed. Among other things. Deployment pending release of Zero Client. If you'd like a sneak peak, join us at Synapse Summit January 23rd and 24th. Meet the team. Demo our latest work. Forward, always. $RADS $BTC #radium #bitcoin #blockchain #synapse https://twitter.com/RadiumCore/status/1083752300303265792You can find more info about Custom Assets in this blogpost - https://blog.radiumcore.org/radium-update-43-project-status-report-d587396414d9Planned Future SmartChain Features
Transferable custom assets. Requires NEW GUI to the SmartChain. SmartChain users can issue an asset or assets using the scheme “username.assetname” with various properties that can be set at time of creation. Assets can be a single asset, or multiple, divisible assets. They can be created with options to be transferable or non-transferable, as well as permanent or destructible. This project requires completion of the CROSS PLATFORM GUI before work can begin.
Revamped Verification system. Requires CUSTOM ASSETS. The current dev controlled verification system will be scrapped, and replaced with a system based on username.verified assets. A trusted actor, such as an identity verification firm, can issue a verified asset to identities which they wish to verify. Users can chose which trusted actors they wish to trust, or ignore, allowing more control over who you choose to trust.
Voting groups. Requires CUSTOM ASSETS. A new option will be added to elections, allowing participants to be limited to specific groups, to be defined by ownership of an asset or set of assets. For example, voting can be limited to identities owning the asset “abcCompany.BoardMembers”, allowing only that company’s board members to participate.
I am glad to be Radium holder since 2017. Great development progress, hopefully more investors will notice it.

That sharp decline was most probably coming from Bitcoin market, not Ethereum. Moreover, majority of people now know that Constantinople will not create a new coin so hoarding ETH is pointless this time.

Bakkt is interesting because it allows people to buy, sell, trade, and use cryptocurrency without owning it. They can use Bakkt, a non-cryptocurrency entity that assumes most of the risks and liabilities. At first this will simply enable institutions and large investors a place to “safely” transact with clear rules, regulations, and expectations.
Yes, it is an important point. Bakkt will help cryptocurrency (cryptoassets respectively) market to come closer to standardized asset/currency market that is much more acceptible for large and institutional investors.

Original post, ommited ..
I guess you will have lots of work to put down such a list Scams are very frequent in this industry and combining it with recent SEC statements - ICOs will have a tough 2019.

It is very probable all your point are right but .. why do you expect CMC will list only real, quality and proven projects? Their strategy is to be a listing site for all cryptocurrencies/cryptoassets. The research is then on you

Anybody know of any crypto-currency backed by actual assets?
I only know of one crypto-currency backed by assets.
Besides the currencies that are supposedly backed by fiat there were also in the past some cryptocurrencies that their creators claimed were backed by gold and all of them failed, if you ask me a cryptocurrency backed by anything is a contradiction, we are trying to be decentralized here and if you want a coin to be backed by something then you will need to trust in a centralized party to keep hold of whatever backs that coin so a cryptocurrency backed by something is not a cryptocurrency in my eyes. Exactly! It won't be decentralized if the crypto is tied with a centralized asset. It's just creating a confusion that investors might get comfortable of investing because it's backed by something. This seems like a ponzi scheme to me Moreover, backing or tying a cryptocurrency to another asset requires a proper valuation (and ongoing revaluation) of underlying asset. That is difficult and for example banks employ large teams to do it.

Generally, you can guess these accumulated coins from volume. Whales usually spread their buy orders in longer timeframes to avoid moving market too high.
I used this way too to guess what alts who gathered by whale mate, pretty simple but take more time to knowing, do you or anyone have more simple way to know what whales doing ? It is a time consuming analysis, indeed. I would also as a rhetorical question if it is profitable to look for coins in which whales already invested. In an ideal situation you want to buy an altcoin and see whales putting their buy orders after you.

The Lympo ecosystem is almost complete now, users can earn tokens in the sports app and then use it to buy sport stuff in the e-shop. Exemplary adoption of blockchain in the real business. But they are providing this services in limited regions they should have to expand this and let join all people from other part of the world. More people will join this than this community will grow rapidly and it will make this network more worthy. As far as I know their goal is making Lympo available worldwide however they are now more focused on South Korea and United States. I am not worried about regional / worldwide expansion. The team proved they are capable of achieving important milestones.

The famous Shiba took me here .. What are your plans for development? Do you plan any commercial use?
Sure, the commercial plan is to sell his coins in an exchange. Or not? No, this is a fun currency, to help people to learn to mine, and earn some crypto that way. If there is HUGE adoption we might consider seeing the blockchain used for something more practical like commerce but really the community decides that. Thanks for clarification. In fact there is nothing wrong to say that DOGP will be a fun currency - at least you don't create false expectations.

These are just words, I bet he doesn't hold bitcoins .. and I am quite sure he hasn't allocated any part of portfolios under his management to bitcoin.

The crypto market is undervalued in both USD and BTC. If you want to maximize BTC value I would think about holding your altcoins for some more time and wait for the market to rise.

do you agree if the bounty hunter is paid USDT? the good or bad impact on investors and the development of the ICO project, give your reasons
I would be happy if bounties paid out in USDT. However, ICOs are here to raise money for projects so it is very probable such projects will not have enough money to obtain large sums of USDT.

You targeted one of good projects. I would personally wait one or few weeks because ZIL can go down a bit after recent upwards pressure.

What you have described is certainly not moderators' work. They care about the operations and development of the great forum. You should do your research and separate wheat from chaff.
